Glad you asked. http://blogs.wsj.com/independentstreet/2009/01/28/in-n-out-burger-vs-mcdonalds-guess-who-won/

https://www.google.com/search?q=in-n-out&safe=off&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=hF0KUuHbI-G2igK6wYCQDg&sqi=2&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1144&bih=1006

A cheeseburger, fries and soda costs just over $5. Starting pay is $11. They're serving more customers at  3:30 in the afternoon than most fast food restaurants are serving at 12:20 in the afternoon. At lunchtime, I will count about fourteen employees working in an In-n-Out.

They never freeze any ingredients. They have no microwaves or freezers or heatlamps. Potatoes are sliced from whole potatoes at each store. They have the freshest fast food you'll ever eat.

So In-N-Out may be higher quality but it's certainly no cheaper. McDonald's is 3.00 plus tax for the stuff you mentioned. The McDonald's I live near gives out the small cups for free, so I pay $2.00 for a McDouble and fries. I think that all McDonald's are obligated to give you a cup of "water" (which you can fill with anything) for free.

Besides, I think that I said in my original post, that if such a company existed they were not nearly as efficient. McDonald's, BK, and Wendy's are all much more popular than In-N-Out, so arguably In-N-Out is not nearly as efficient.

A McDouble doesn't compare. Stop pulling from Rassah's uninformed playbook.

That's your opinion.

Earlier, I said to name a company that was cheaper but more efficient. You failed to find one. McDonald's is the cheapest as far as I know and it's certainly one of if not the most successful fast food chain. I like McDonald's food better, but opinions don't matter. Perhaps you are uninformed if you think that your opinion is evidence for an argument.

I only wish there was a process like this: you learn (let's say) japanese on your own, at home. You go to the nearest university - pass a very complicated series of tests, pay ~200$, and if score is good enough - you get a diploma.

How would this process work with doctors? You can't learn medicine at home.

It would not. There are certain skills that can and cannot be self taught at home.

So then isn't a formal education necessary? Even your Japanese example can't be learned solely from home. You can fire up the Rosetta Stone and "learn" the language but until you've actually been there you are not truly qualified to have a diploma based on the language.

read this:

In my humble opinion the author is THE expert on hallucinogenic plants.  Tobacco is not classified as such, I do not believe.

That's an interesting read, however it seems a little outdated.

Erowid is useful, however keep in mind that anyone can share their experience. His opinion may seem more educated, but I could publish something on there just as easily.

However, I am starting to somewhat change my views on marijuana. I would never call it a "hallucinogen", as its main effect is not hallucinating. I'd say depending on the strain it's a stimulant or depressant. However I don't think it could be defined as any one classification in particular.
304  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.50 btc for Marijuana on Silk Road on: August 13, 2013, 06:13:29 PM

Tobacco is a hallucinogen.  Guess you've never tried Rustica.  It'd take you about 3-4 packs of American cigarettes (all chain smoked) to feel any kind of hallucinogenic effects.

If we're going by the definition of seeing things that aren't there for hallucinogens, I don't see how tobacco could possibly make you hallucinate.

But I think if you did get some effects off of tobacco it would be because of the adverse health effects and the sheer quantity of smoke. Being lightheaded enough might make you see things strangely, but I could smoke straight paper and get the same effect after a while.

However, nicotine itself is defined as a stimulant.

Need a 1-month loan of 200 BTC. Will pay 12% interest.

What is the point of this? Who would fall for it? You would have better luck begging for BTC.

I was just joking okay. it was a joke.

It wasn't a funny joke.

+1

You're posting garbage to a crowd who takes money and loaning very seriously. Don't expect to ever be able to get a loan here.

This wasn't a nice reply.

Trying to get people to waste 100+ dollars isn't nice either, whether it was a "joke" or not.

If you want to learn something, don't get an "education". Get a skill. Learn something you can actually improve the world with. You don't need a balding leftist troll in an ancient building telling you bullshit and charging you an arm and a leg to do that.

Like what? What skill does not require education? Even hookers have to know how to count their money.

And by the way, there are specialized schools for almost any kind of job.

I think you are only considering the visual side effects, not the mind altering or auditory side effects.

Well, the definition of hallucinogen is "A drug that causes one to hallucinate".

You won't hallucinate on weed, and I guess really you won't "hallucinate" on LSD in the sense that you won't see things that aren't there, but you will see different colors and a "pulsing" effect which does not happen on marijuana.

In the mind altering sense I'd say they're somewhat similar, however I don't know about the auditory side effects. Music sounds much better on LSD for sure but I don't really hear things differently on weed.
312  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.50 btc for Marijuana on Silk Road on: August 13, 2013, 04:36:42 PM
If you start tripping then you were not smoking weed.

I TOTALLY disagree.  Cannabis is a narcotic that has hallucinogenic properties. (Kind of like Opium).

Well I TOTALLY x2 disagree. Marijuana is not hallucinogenic. If you've taken acid, salvia, any of the "c"'s, or even shrooms you would know this to be true.

And Opium is nothing like weed. You must get some very powerful stuff. Maybe OP should go to you?

FYI, tobacco is a hallucinogen too.

I googled it and Nicotine is a stimulant according to every source. THC seems to have no classification, and is called a stimulant, depressant, hallucinogen, and psychadelic.

one tab one tme

I'm guessing you didn't take enough to get all of the effects.

I've taken it many times; the most I took at once was three tabs of 1000 micrograms each. I blotted it myself. Very different from weed.

Isn't that illegal?

Only when I do it at the TV store.

But maybe you should care, since I didn't have to make up that number or look it up.
Wow!

Once again, the poster boy for those who don't listen speaks.

1. If you're just plain bad and slow at your job, nobody is advocating any type of wage. But if you do your job well at, say fast food, for 40 hours a week, you deserve a decent wage. Such a job may not require a degree, but that doesn't mean it isn't work.

2. As for your arguments about raising the cost of burgers, that's dependent on how the business is structured, and there are businesses which pay a decent wage, make better burgers than the competition, and charge less. If you can't compete with those businesses, maybe you shouldn't be in business.

1. Why does working 40 hours a week mean you get a good wage? McDonald's work is easy. It doesn't require a degree because a monkey could do most fast food jobs. Apparently monkeys can even work in higher class restaurants.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7654267.stm

2. What fast food place is cheaper than McDonald's but higher quality, while paying more than any other place? Obviously no place exists, or McDonald's would not be such a dominant force in fast food. Even if this place did exist, they have a very inefficient business model.

Clearly you did not read through this thread... the second reply is from me, a moderator, stating that selling accounts is allowed.  I did that to preempt everyone who would say it's not allowed.

where does it says? that - 'a moderator, stating that selling accounts is allowed.'

Bolded it for you.

Holy crap, he's on to me, I just made up that number. Welp, it's time go into hiding.

Well, you proved your point that you don't care about education, that's for sure. But maybe you should care, since I didn't have to make up that number or look it up.
318  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.50 btc for Marijuana on Silk Road on: August 13, 2013, 03:16:07 PM
I have never consumed any opioid that was not processed as a pill or syrup.  I have taken mushrooms and acid.  While cannabis is not nearly as visual as LSD it definitely heightens the senses with specific emphasis on the auditory system.

Pink Floyd + cannabis + a laser light show + nighttime = weak LSD

All the pink floyd and weed in the world will not make you trip. I do not believe that you could have possibly taken acid and think it has the same effect.

Some other information:

All Opiates are found in legal processed forms, even heroin. Percocets (Oxycodone and Acetamenophen) is one of the most commonly abused ones, and it is so similar to heroin that addicts can get their fix from either drug. A "legal" pill is not inherently safer than shooting up. It all depends on the dose and purity.

There's no such thing as "weak" LSD, only varying doses. LSD is LSD. A tab might appear "weak" because it is a low dose, ie 100 µg, but it is the exact same potency as any other tab of the same dose. Other tabs that appear "strong" just have higher doses. Whether you take 1 500 µg or 5 100 µg you are getting the same potency of acid.

Out of curiosity, what dose of acid did you take?

Hi American here I just wanted to clear some stuff up,

5.) Education is totally overrated. For the most part it's not necessary. Get rid of all publicly funded education and let the free market market decide what kind of education is needed. Could be more, could be less. I don't particularly care if we're #1, or #543.

Other American here, most of us do believe in education. I do care if we're #1 or #543, because there are only 196 countries.
