301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 24, 2023, 05:25:29 PM
Barcelona was just lucky to come back after being two goals down. Celta parked the bus adopting a 5-3-2 formation which made the game frustrating for Barca. It became worse after they conceived the goal. But the changes in the second half put more pressure on the Celta Vigo but it also opened up the Barca defense for the counterattack of the host. Barca will be grateful that the breakthrough came in the last minutes of the game.

I wouldn't call it luck. Big teams know how to turn a game when they are down. It's not easy to come back from two goals down, but Barcelona bring in the best players in the world to the team to exactly do that. Cancelo and Felix arrived in the last days of the transfer window and they have already contributed directly to the scoring in many games. That's why so much money is being spent on these players. If a normal club made this comeback it would be considered luck, but when Barcelona do it, it's not right to call it luck. They won by playing better. They were the ones who made the game difficult in the first place though, if they had taken advantage of the early goal positions, it would never have come to this. In the end they deserved the 3 points.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Baby Doge? on: September 24, 2023, 04:59:29 PM
New games using babydoge?

I don't think any new projects use this coin as its base. No need to bump this old thread, the coin is already dead. There is a real DOGE, why would somebody want to invest in a copycat? Especially if it has no purpose and the wind behind that trend is long gone. Meme coin hype is already over. DOGE is standing strong but copies are long dead. It's better to invest in new promising coins than an old dead copy meme coin.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 24, 2023, 04:42:30 PM
Draw is a fair result to be honest. It's Saka vs. Son and both parties were lucky in their goals. Too many defensive personal mistakes happened. Nketiah was lucky to finish without red card. The result is acceptable for both teams, their unbeaten series are going on. If we were to list the matches in which it's possible not to get 3 points during the season, both sides would find 1 point in this match acceptable.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 23, 2023, 10:20:58 PM
Thanks to Larsen, Douvikas, Aspas, Lewandowski, Cancelo, Felix and Gavi. We watched a great match with 5 goals. I bet for over 3.5 goals @1.94 and it looked desperate until last 15 minutes but I always believed my bet because I know these two teams so well. Great comeback from Barcelona and great play for the most of the game for Celta. It's a shame they didn't get any points from this performance but that's the football, Barca well deserved 3 points.
305  Economy / Economics / Re: The Kids buying Mcdonald order via BTC on: September 23, 2023, 10:06:04 PM
It would be safe to say that in this era, children are born with tablets in their hands. Naturally they can easily use Bitcoin and all kinds of applications including crypto-currency wallets. There is nothing surprising in this.
What I will say about McDonald's is that I wouldn't spend my precious coins on that junk food. It's overpriced and the quality has dropped significantly. I don't know if it's the same in other countries, but this is the situation in our country. I prepare the same thing at home, it's much cheaper and nutritious. I can save more Bitcoin as well! Smiley
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I learned something new from Bitcoin today on: September 23, 2023, 09:56:04 PM
In gambling house always wins. You may have some profit in short term but in the long run you will end up losing eventually. It's your money but my advice would be don't gamble to make profit. Do some saving and invest. I know everyone gives similar advice, but only few people listen to it and actually implement it. When I look back, I think I would've been much richer if I had saved the money I spent on gambling. Think long term, plan and implement. Easy to say but hard to do. Trust me if you can do this, you will succeed.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 23, 2023, 03:40:59 PM
The coach gave the team a very good understanding of the game. The game reminds me of when he played football. I think Barcelona will win easily in this match. Barcelona started to play better every match compared to the previous match.

Over 2.5 goals can be considered as a bet. When Barcelona enjoys the game they play, they can score goals more easily. My choice will be this way.

Xavi renews his contract. The board and fans trust him. I also believe he can make this team champion again.
Balde also signed a new contract and he'll be here until 2028. He's a promising left back but Xavi won't start with him today. Gavi and Yamal are also in the bench, they can take a rest. Lewa and Felix start so that's good enough for Barca. Celta is a though opponent but Barca will win at home. I agree with your bet, over 2.5 goals is the best choice for this game. On one side Lewa and Felix and on the other Aspas, these line-ups are promising for a lot of goals.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you gained anything after the end of bull run? on: September 22, 2023, 10:48:52 PM
2021 and 2022 were bad for both Bitcoin and altcoins. There was no upward movement except for short rallies. After 2018, I couldn't make good gains from crypto-currencies. I'm not mad though, I had the opportunity to accumulate more Bitcoin. I'm still undecided about altcoins. There are a few altcoins that I think should be in my portfolio, but the prolonged bear market has left me undecided about at what price I should buy them and how long I should hold them. I bought some nice coins during the last mini rally but I couldn't sell them at high prices. It's hard to wait in these situations. I hope to make better decisions in the new rally.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 21, 2023, 11:16:46 PM
Are you collecting low cap altcoins for the bull market? It sounds like you think low cap altcoins can easily make 100x profits. I don't think so and even if the supply of a good quality project is high then you will get good profit there. Many new investors tend to follow supply more. You should know that there are many low cap altcoins that can't even sail the market in bull seas.

I don't particularly look for coins with low market capitalization. If a coin's project is good, it's possible to measure how much the market capitalization will increase, but if a large amount of the coin is in the hands of a small group of people, it's hard to assess the market capitalization because they can manipulate the price however they want.
Everyone wants to find a coin that makes 100x, but since it's hard to predict this in advance, only small amounts are used. As a result, even if you catch that 100x coin, the profit will be low.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 Crypto and It's Targets for Next Bull Run on: September 17, 2023, 11:54:27 PM
All these targets are calculated using Fibonacci Retracement. Consider this a speculation, Thanks.

1. Bitcoin -  $173,805
2. Ethereum - $11,460
3. BNB - $1,190
4. XRP - $8.97
5. ADA - $12.37
6. DOGE - $0.96
7. Solana - $1,367
8. TRX - $0.15
9. MATIC - $7
10. LTC - $361
In my opinion, your BNB target is too small, because I am sure that if a bull run occurs then the price of BNB will increase at least 3x from the ATH price and myself made a BNB target during the bull run of at least $2500, therefore currently I continue to do DCA BNB, because I I'm sure I will get a big profit from investing in BNB at this time and hold until bullrun.

If they burn more BNB, the target would be higher. BNB should perform better than BTC normally.

Which coin provides the highest return when compared to current prices? Has anyone calculated this? Let me do a quick calculation.

Bitcoin - 6.55x
Ethereum - 7.07x
BNB - 5.50x
XRP - 18.23x
ADA - 50x
DOGE - 15.73x
SOL - 72.79x
TRX - 1.80x
MATIC - 13.54x
LTC - 5.68x

It looks like TRX is surprisingly low and SOL and ADA are very high. What did I miss? Roll Eyes
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: September 17, 2023, 10:14:20 PM
Is DOGE Coin's Rise a Sign of the Future of Cryptocurrencies, or a Fleeting Internet Meme Phenomenon?

What's the point of having same thread when we have active original DOGE thread in Announcements section?
This thread isn't even a speculation in this way. If you change subject that would look better.

In 3 months DOGE will turn into 10 and it's here to stay being as the first memecoin.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 07:18:02 PM
Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City have basically struggled to win their respective games this week. Arsenal drew in the first half, then they managed to take a 1 goal lead in the second half until the match ended.

I don't think they struggled at all. Everton was never a threat to Arsenal for whole game. Only 1 goal win but that's enough for 3 points. It was a beautiful goal by the way. Everton didn't have the ball, didn't have a dangerous shot, didn't have a good striker to score. They may be relegated at the end of the season with this game.
Manchester City also won without any trouble. You can feel that they could eventually find a winning goal even though it came late.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 01:42:41 PM
Everton look awful this season as they've done in the last 2 seasons. It's very difficult for them to get points from a giant like Arsenal when they can't even beat mid-table teams. I expect an absolute Arsenal win in this match. Arsenal haven't beaten Everton away in recent years, so they should end this bad streak today. Gabriel Jesus also loves Everton games, he always scores against them. If Ødegaard and Saka play in their level as always, Arsenal should win without any difficulty.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban's Metamask was hacked on: September 16, 2023, 11:56:50 PM
I don't think Cuban would do such a thing after 5 ETH or any other prize money. This seems more like a PR effort he's doing to get talked about. If he really had been subjected to such a fraud after 5 ETH, he would be ashamed to even talk about it. Although judging by past news, he seems to do this frequently.
This news reminds us once again that even if you are tech-savvy, you should be very careful when using crypto wallets.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the best Altcoin for this moment to accumulate right now? on: September 16, 2023, 11:33:52 PM
personally, currently there are several altcoin that I have accumulated, that is
1. ETH
2. BNB
3. XRP
4. DOT
5. ADA
and I will continue to accumulate as long as the market does not increase.

These are logical and safe choices. I would pick more risky and newer coins though. I follow Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism as well. I believe most of the major altcoins will give huge profits in the long run. Currently people don't give much attention to crypto-currencies because of a long bear market but things will change in a couple of years. It's better to accumulate monthly and be prepared for the next bull run.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 16, 2023, 09:34:44 PM
Barcelona had an amazing performance in the last season and they won the title while they had a huge gap between themselves and Real Madrid which shows us how good they performed in the last season even after all the financial issues they had.

Barca is playing the best football this season just like last season and they didn't spend a ton of money. Real Madrid is behind them. Financial problems didn't affect this competition much. I'm sure Barca will be in better financial situation when they win some trophies this season. It's good to be strict on money sometimes, even if it's out of necessity.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 16, 2023, 03:44:37 PM
Looks like Manchester City won't do any mistakes. Even though they concede a goal they can easily convert the score. West Ham United was a team that was appreciated for their success in the first weeks of the league, but they couldn't show any presence against Manchester City. It'll be very hard for other teams to compete with this City.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoin is needed to buy iPhone 15? on: September 16, 2023, 01:41:14 AM
In my country iPhone 15 starts at 50.000 TL, that costs 0.0689 BTC. iPhone 15 Plus 512 GB price is 69.000 TL, which costs 0.0951 BTC.
If you can buy iPhone 15 for only 0.031 BTC that means you are very lucky. You can't even buy Samsung Galaxy S22 with that BTC here.
319  Other / Meta / Re: Why Bitcointalk do not have alternative front-ends? on: September 15, 2023, 01:12:02 AM
Why is it needed? Bitcointalk does its job by providing a platform where people can freely express their opinions. It doesn't need any cosmetic changes.
There are SMF themes but they are disabled due to security reasons.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Countries living behind their century, taking a back sit on BTC evolution. on: September 15, 2023, 12:48:30 AM
Developing countries have much bigger problems. Let alone having a fast internet, there are countries with cities that don't have proper infrastructure. In some countries, people have difficulty even accessing clean water. You can't tell these people about Bitcoin. Unfortunately, not everyone lives in the same age.
