Regarding the point structure, please do not make it even more complex. Let´s stick to the rules from the previous series.
But guys, I´m very confused about the currencies. Why don´t we use BTC like on SwC platform. Is it not possible?
I guess most of our players are living in EUR or USD countries. What are the rules, what do we have to consider?
Should my deposit be in EUR or BTC now?

Im Prinzip kann man den BTC Kurs doch ein wenig mit Amazon vergleichen. Vor vielen vielen Jahren kostete ein Amazon Aktie umgerechnet etwa 80 Euro.[...]
Hätte man nur eine Aktie einen Tag vor dem ersten Split gekauft für den Preis von 80 Euro hätte man heute etwa 30.000 Euro. Ja genau.30.000.
Und so ähnlich sehe ich es bei BTC.
Ich spiel mal wieder des Teufels Anwalt  (mitten in einem Preisaufschwung macht das am meisten Spaß, denn da wird einem dann nicht vorgeworfen, eine Panik auslösen zu wollen ...) Nehmen wir mal an Bitcoin wäre so erfolgreich wie Amazon. Der IPO Price war im Jahr 1997 18$. Das heißt die 80$ waren schon eine deutliche Steigerung. Laut Investopedia ist seitdem der Kurs, Aktiensplits bereits berücksichtigt, um 120000% gestiegen, hat sich also knapp ver1200facht. Nehmen wir mal an das "IPO" bei Bitcoin sei der Preis gewesen, als MtGox online ging. Seitdem konnte ja jeder in Bitcoin investieren, Bitcoin war "public". Der älteste MtGox-Preis bei Bitcoincharts liegt bei 6 Cent, aber nehmen wir mal 10 Cent um großzügig zu sein. 10 Cent mal 1200 sind - 120 USD. Wir können auch meinetwegen den Höhepunkt der Bubble 2011 als Vergleich zum Amazon-IPO nehmen, als Bitcoin erstmals massiv in den Medien auftauchte. Die ging bis knapp 30 $. 30$ x 1200 wären auch "nur" 36000$. Ist zwar mehr als der heutige Kurs, verspricht aber keine märchenhaften Preisvervielfachungen mehr. Was ich damit sagen will - wir sind bei Bitcoin schon ziemlich weit, aber wahrscheinlich schon "weiter" als bei Amazon in der Wachstumskurve. Wir haben bei Bitcoin das Stadium des Early Adopters schon lange verlassen (ich würde mal die Bubble 2017 als Schwelle ansetzen, weil da wirklich viele Leute von Bitcoin erfahren haben). Deshalb ist es imo fraglich, ob weitere extreme Kursexplosionen wie bei Amazon in den letzten Jahrzehnten zu erwarten sind. Klar hat Bitcoin als globaler Wertspeicher/Weltwährung möglicherweise ein höheres Potential als Amazon als immerhin international führender e-Commerce-Handelsplatz. Aber dennoch: Unendlich wird auch Bitcoin nicht mehr wachsen. Das heißt nicht, dass ich noch deutlich steigende Kurse bis ca. 100.000 $/EUR nicht als realistisch ansehe. Aber viel weiter darüber kann ich es mir nur schwer vorstellen. Eine Million pro BTC halte ich (ohne Hyperinflationen) für nahezu ausgeschlossen. (Wäre Bitcoin so viel wert wie Gold, wäre der Kurs bei 380000$ - bis dahin geht bei viel gutem Willen meine Vorstellungskraft ). Zum aktuellen Kursverlauf: Es scheint sich seit August ein Muster herauszubilden: Starker Anstieg -> Stabilisierung mit nur geringen Einbrüchen, rinse and repeat. Sieht kurz- und mittelfristig weiter gut aus und ich erwarte auch recht bald ein neues ATH, spätestens 2021. (Steht nicht im Widerspruch zu dem, was ich weiter oben schreibe ...) ... Die Gedanken sind nur wie du es ausdrückst Gedanken. Wir haben hier ausgesprochen was wir uns vorstellen können bzw. was wir erwarten und dies hier festgeschrieben. Sinn des ganzen ist lediglich nach ein paar Jahren zurückschauen zu können um die Einschätzungen der damaligen Community zu sehen und nicht mehr. Mit diesem Thread wollen wir Leuten nicht anraten in Kryptos zu investieren (natürlich sind Newbies willkommen aber sie sollen nicht investieren, weil hier die meisten sehr optimistisch sind). Es dient wie erläutert lediglich der Unterhaltung Falls das eine Antwort auf meinen Beitrag ist: Es spricht nichts dagegen, sich zu überlegen wo der Kurs in XY Jahren stehen könnte. Im Gegenteil, man sollte sich mögliche Szenarien ganz klar vor Augen halten. Meine Frage war eher, was is wenn der BTC tatsächlich mal 500k Wert ist, und dann viele Hodler auf die Idee kommen zu sagen: Ich schmeisse alle meine BTC auf den Markt um meine Geduld nun endlich zu bezahlen. Ich rechne ehrlich gesagt damit, sobald ein gewisser Kurs überschritten wirt (welcher das sein wird, vermag ich nicht zu sagen) geht eine Welle des Abverkaufs los. Um Gewinne zu sichern und sich selbst zu belohnen. Sobald die ersten damit anfangen, und aufgrund dessen der Kurs wieder fällt (Wenn das Angebot die Nachfrage übersteigt), dann könnte es genauso schnell wieder bergab gehen und eine FOMO nach unten entstehen. Und die eigentliche Frage lautet, wie sichert ihr euch dagegen ab? Denn es hilft ja nix, wenn ihr die BTC habt, aber niemals irgendwas damit anstellt... Wozu dann BTC halten, wenn man nicht vor hat sie irgendwann zu nutzen?!Schwachsinn! Selbst wenn ich in jedem Geschäft mit BTC zahlen könnte, würde ich es nicht tun. BTC ist für mich eine Absicherung gegen die kranke Finanzpolitik und die Sicherung meines persönlichen Wohlstands. Meine Einkäufe kann ich auch mit Bargeld erledigen  Du brauchst keine Angst haben, dass alle Hodler gleichzeitig ihre Coins auf den Markt schmeißen. Wenn Du mal eine richtige FOMO Phase mitgemacht hast, dann weißt Du dass der Mensch in solchen Zeiten komplett irrational handelt. Ich würde meine BTC zu hohen Kursen verkaufen, ganz klar. Aber nur um sie später von den Idioten günstig zurückzukaufen  |

I missed the Sunday tourney and also missed Globb0's tourney too. Lately I am just having a roller coaster ride of scheduling myself in everything. Will there be another free tourney on the next Sunday? Lets decide this and put in some thoughts until we reach consensus.
I propose the same day and time which is on Sunday 5.00 pm UTC. We go with 8 game before the Grand Finale around $10 to $15 buy in . Taking that extra fee would be hard for now because the p2p transfer is not yet available on betnomi so perhaps we can ditch that idea away and put it all into the qualifer game? Or we could still go for $10 buy in with extra 200-400 chips transferred by using swc ? most of us probably still has chips on swc so this could be an option
I read through rest of the posts and I see we hav not reached any consensus. Let me put my vote Day of game : Sunday Start time of game : 17.00 or 18.00 hr UTC Number of games in the series: 8 qualifiers, 1 runner up and 1 final serious Buy-in: $10 to $15 (betnomi currency is dollar ) Extra fee for pool weekly: Since there are no P2P let's ignore it. Or select one user, send him 0.001 BTC no matter if you play all qualifier matches or one, have him hold it and use it for the pool. Let's not use any other platform like SWC for this tournament since Betnomi is the one who are sponsoring it. I don't believe there will be anymore freerolls, least not the size of these 2. I could be wrong though, the owner is always pitching ideas to me. I have spoken with efialtis and got permission to use any of the Literature and format from his tourney thread, so I'll be making the betnomi series thread within the next day or 2. Most things are pretty much figured out, but all input will be considered before the series goes live. I'll try to get the thread up tomorrow and get all the input we need ASAP so that we can try and start the series this weekend. Hey Yahoo, in all respect to you and betnomi for making the freerolls possible (even though I got disconnected from the last one…), I would really appreciate when we start the series asap. I miss the nice poker evenings with all you lads who are really interested in that series! When you start the new thread tomorrow, let´s figure out the details and start on Sunday (hopefully). There is something I need to complain about on betnomi platform.
I have played some tournaments meanwhile and everytime when it comes to a Showdown, the platform is lagging and I cannot see the cards of my rival.
It is totally annoying, the chips are moving either to the other guy or to me but I dont know what they played.
I restarted the browser several times, logged out and in but nothing has changed...
Are you playing from the browser or the client?? Are you able to at least go back through the hand history to see what they played?? The only time I had a similar issue I was playing through the browser and was working my PC to hard . I´m using the browser. Is it better to play with the client? |

Bitcoin zerschmettert den 14k Widerstand als hätte es nie etwas anderes getan und Iota ist bei unter 0,2€ ist das schlecht... Ja irgendwie erwartet man mehr, gerade bei den sehr positiv gestimmten News die hier immer reinkommen. Der Kurs bleibt davon unbeeindruckt.. Ich hatte eigentlich den Plan meine GIs aufzustocken, bin momentan aber froh dass ich zuletzt im März bei 8-9ct je MIOTA gekauft habe. Insofern ist noch alles okay, man hat sich halt nur mehr erhofft. Und da muss man sich auch ernsthaft die Frage stellen, welchen Einfluss der potenzielle Coordicide hätte. Wer weiß, vielleicht pumpt das den Kurs kurzfristig auf 0,5€, um dann wieder bei 0,25€ zu landen?! |

I wanted to het this other freeroll ran before the series started. Let people decide between the 2 structures and start finalizing things. The freeroll is up but it is for this Sunday instead of today. They had an issue on the poker client yesterday and are making sure things are right. I will start paying the password to everyone who has given their Betnomi poker name in this thread today. We have about a week to figure out the series so I can turn it in and get it set up. I still need volunteers to handle the spreadsheet and funds. I may not be available every week so I dont want the responsibility in case I'm not. Well I didn't see anything on betnomi about transferring funds between players, do they have it? It will be hard to manage funds between wallets, with slow and cheap transactions. Some of us can send additional fee for all games, but is it fine with everyone? Betnomi gave a nice offer, maybe we can forget about lottery and additional prize for final game and to rise buy in for tournaments? Maybe I am missing something about all this, would you like to hear what others think about it. If we cannot transfer the funds on betnomi, I would totally agree with you Ivan instead of paying fees all the time |

sorry but I would get in troubles with any time changes  Just for a clarification, I am requesting a time change to our usual time slot i.e. 5PM, the same time SwC series used to hold. However, last freeroll on Betnomi was held at 6PM, an hour later than usual. So which time is unfavorable for you, 5PM or 6PM? I would prefer the same time like on Sunday, but these are just my 2 satoshis :-) |

I just spoke with the owner, we will run another freeroll on wednesday same start time. There are a few differences, I opted for a deepstack tourney for everyone to have a good 50000 stack to try with. I also changed the pw.
Cool! Just make it an hour or two early if possible. 6PM is too late for me and most of the Asian players meanwhile 5PM won't affect US and Europe players' schedule much. You guys can still play 12PM or later which is pretty good and we guys can play majority of the tournament before midnight, win-win for both.
The owner also said they will try to fix the disconnect issues by wednesdays game for us.
Wonderful! However, poker software is pretty decent and stable. Like others, I was getting logout on the browser every now and then. But once I switched to software, I didn't face logout issue even once. Moreover, software is fast. SwC usually lags but betting was smooth on the Betnomi client.
Long story short, Yahoo once again bettered me. That's I guess 3rd time on SwC and in total 4th time including SportsBet if I am keeping the tally right.  ~~~ +1 added to the counter. I don't know how is this even possible but every time I play against you, I am the one who loses. AJ vs KJ, insane hand!
EDIT: ~~~ Also, the freeroll should be up in the lobby later today. I'll post it in the OP as well once it's up.

Just got knocked out in 4th, Jayce, arallmuus, and 1r0n1c going at it for top 3. Arallmuus has a monster chipstack, gonna be hard to beat. Good game to all that played and let me know your thoughts on the software.

Hey Simon, ich habe mich nun auch angemeldet :-) Heiße bei Euch auch 1r0n1c. Was kannst Du denn für Spiele empfehlen? Ich kenne mich gar nicht aus Hey Hatten Book of Dead als Standard-Spiel auserwählt, gilt als das beliebteste Spiel der meisten. Hier findest zudem eine Übersicht beliebter Spiele. Wenn du auf die Spiele klickst, kannst du dir auch Spielstatistiken wie beispielsweise RTP anschauen @Unknown01 Danke für das Lob und ich hoffe das Zocken hat zumindest Spaß gemacht Du hast aber noch keine Freispiele an meinen Acc gutgeschrieben oder? Habt ihr auch etwas in Richtung BlackJack/ Poker? Wenn ja, dass bitte dafür freigeben. Ansonsten gerne Book of Dead :-) |

Man muss einfach neidlos anerkennen, dass 95% der Alts gegen Bitcoin schlecht aussehen (durchaus mit Recht!). Dazu gehört auch Iota. Ich persönlich würde nur mehr in BTC investieren. Da ich BTC aber auch nie über 6k$ gekauft habe, werde ich wohl auf dem Fiat vorerst sitzen bleiben, aber das ist auch okay Heißt das du würdest gerne in BTC investieren aber machst es nicht, weil du unter 6k$ eingekauft hast? Falls dem so wäre, ist das eine rationale oder eine emotionale Entscheidung? Btw. wenn du Fiat fürs Eigenheim sparst und das noch ein paar Jährchen dauern könnte, wäre Gold als Inflationsschutz mit relativ geringer Volatilität vielleicht interessant für dich. Ich würde liebend gerne weiter BTC akkumulieren. Ist auch die einzige Cryptowährung, wo ich noch Fiat investieren würde - von Alts habe ich genug, aber BTC kann man nie genügend haben freilich hindert mich der Fiatkurs. Ich muss aber auch dazusagen, dass ich im März bei 4k nochmal gut zulegt hatte. Ich gehe nicht davon aus, dass wir diesen Kurs nochmal sehen werden, aber falls doch dann bin ich bereit. Gold ist sicher interessant, mit dem Gedanken spiele ich schon lange. |

werde ich wohl auf dem Fiat vorerst sitzen bleiben, aber das ist auch okay das ist wohl die schlechteste aller möglichen Entscheidungen, gerade jetzt, wo das Fiatgeld praktisch weltweit kurz vor dem Zusammenbruch steht, und wir die Möglichkeit haben, an dem neuen Geld von Anfang an dabei sein zu können. Natürlich schmerzt es, BTC bei über 6K einzukaufen, wenn man seinen Bestand auch schon weit billiger erstanden hat, aber bei IOTA lass ich solche Ausreden nicht zu. Der maximal mögliche billigste Preis bei IOTA in den vergangenen 5 Jahren war gerade mal etwas mehr als die Hälfte vom heutigen Kurs, und jetzt stehen wir kurz vor dem lang ersehnten Durchbruch. Der Coordicide ist nicht mehr nur eine Fata Morgana am Horizont, sondern liegt in Modulen eingeteilt klar vor Augen. Im Gegensatz zu allen Blockchain-basierten Projekten können bei IOTA Transaktionen blitzschnell abgeschlossen werden ohne auf irgendwelche Genehmigungsvorgänge warten zu müssen, die die Sicherheit erhöhen. Der neuartige Sybil-Schutzmechanismus führt zu hohen Manaanteilen und sichert das Netzwerk auch bei einer großen Anzahl von Gegnern. Das Interesse der Industrie ist riesig, und es wird weltweit an allen möglichen Anwendungsfällen gearbeitet, deren praktische Einführung kurz vor der Tür steht. Wer so lange auf den großen Durchbruch gewartet hat, kann doch jetzt die paar Monate auch noch durchhalten bzw. erkennen, dass 20 Cent für 1 Million IOTA ein besseres Investment darstellen als sein Geld in Fiat liegen zu lassen. Sorry aber was ein Schmarn. Ja, ich weiß was in der Welt los ist und wie Fiat akzeptiert. Aber soll ich jetzt jeden verdienten Euro in Iota und Co. investieren? Ich habe mittelfristige Pläne mit einem Eigenheim und andere diverse Anschaffungen. Dazu braucht man Eigenkapital!! Oder bist Du einer von den Clowns die sowas zu 100% fremdfinanzieren, dafür aber 80GI besitzen?? Wie bct_ail schon schrieb, es wird seit langem auf den Durchbruch gewartet. Es besteht das Risiko, dass der Coordicide nicht umgesetzt wird. Iota ist derzeit einfach Gambling, entweder es geht auf und wir alle haben eine nette Rendite oder es kommt zum Super-Gau. So oder so, wer jeden freien Euro in Iota steckt ist m.M.n. verrückt, aber jeder verfolgt ja auch andere Ziele. Ich habe genügend GI um bei den eventuellen Kursen von 2017 richtig abzusahnen, aber ein wenig Cash in der Hinterhand zu haben ist immer gut |
