Just ran some numbers.  I mined $9.13 in XLR in the last 24 hours.  https://whattomine.com/ says I could mine $8.53 selling to Nicehash.  I think I will stick around mining until April and not support the Nicehash monster.

Come April, I hope the devs have some good reasons for consumers to buy this coin.  The only reason consumers have been buying is for masternodes.  I don't think staking is a sufficient reason for consumers to come back.  I have other coins that are PoW/PoS, and they are considered shitcoins.

You haven't lost anything. As has been stated probably 50 times in the last 10 pages, Cryptopia is working on their issues. You just need to be patient.

This was a solid coin to mine for about a day. IMO devs made a mistake halfing miner profits so quick. Masternodes would have come after people mined for a bit, miners are the backbone of crypto. Since miners are leaving and dumping value is shit. RIP IFX

its true, cryptopia wallet is in maintanence mode again, but the fact it works fine at other exchanges, proves me that it is problem at their side, not at coindev side..
this is also true.. on cryptopia coininfo tab You can see that there are dozens of wallets with problems and in maintenance mode, not only bwk.. so i guess they just need some more time to fix bwk..

The miner from this thread/ EWBF miner? My windows 10 pc wouldn't download it because it said it was a virus. On my other PC it just gives me a black screen when  I click on megaupload.

Cryptopia is too popular and has not scaled up its capacity sufficiently. Really hope some of the new exchanges due in 2018 (like coin lion or trade token) take market share and reduce their monolopy where they charge altcoins 200k for a listing with limited service.

In all seriousness, you should stick to NiceHash. No shame in that game - I've usually got one rig on NiceHash at all times now, because it is at least predictable, if not the most profitable.

Low market cap / sub-rosa coins that aren't listed on major exchanges are the deep end of the speculative alt pool and like with any speculative investment just a tiny portion of your assets (ie - money or hashpower) should be allocated to them.

There is another issue with cryptopia. There are 0 connections according to cryptopia coininfo and it is not possible to withdraw TZC from there. When try to withdraw, cryptopia gives me this: Invalid TZC address. There is also no answer to my support ticket.
Wanted to withdraw to the same address I use for cryptopia withdrawals everytime.  

Looks like BTC is about to go above $10k again.  So much for GPU prices coming back down anytime soon...

why did you put this coin on cryptopia? Its not a good exchange to put it on anymore. god I have been in crypto for since dec and cryptopia is now like hitbtc!

I just mined Trezarcoin(TZC)  and send 25 coins there 3 days ago not there. so I know its cyrptopia doing this

If you have a pending deposit/withdrawal on Cryptopia, you're just going to have to remain patient. If you do not, we would suggest you do not send any coins to Cryptopia until the issue is verified to be resolved.

taking 3 months of vacation during which I will leave my place empty with 5 miners running, which currently consuming about 2KW power around the clock. I am contemplating whether this is good idea to leave it as running or just completely turn off. Biggest worry is fire safety:
wires can tangle, fans can seize, chips can heat up and sparks can fly. Add to that it is around March to Mid July during which several of tough heatwave is expected.

- option 1:  leave it off and forfeit 3 months of mining revenue.
- option 2: leave it as it is (very anxious about this one)
- option 3: this is interesting one which I am contemplating:
equip home with wireless cam, also just purchased remote on and off switch for motherboard which can be controlled by web, so i can turn on when it is not hot, still need to setup. Cram all the miner in a smaller room and leave the A/C on.
To reduce further the fire risk, I am thinking about putting huge metal or tin foil around the ceiling, floor and around the miners in case sparks fly. I know it is quite paranoid and unliely to happen but if it ever happens, I bought a barn.

If i cant make my mind between three option, most likely going to choose option 1 which is safest one.

WTF is up with the mining of this coin?

A few calculators show it in the top 3 profitability for Nvidia 1060s & 1070s (I have 4 of each plus 2 1080s) but if I look at the coin's history on BSOD.pw pool, last 50 blocks... most of them are orphans! For the last 2 hours... pretty much all orphans. Is this a problem with the pool's wallet? Or the network?

I am currently mining BWK and I was looking around for an alternative - I don't like auto switching, I'd rather  do some research if I have time. Apart from the glaringly obvious point that this is another one of the MANY MANY neoscrypt/ skein / NIST5 / {insert algo here} DASH clones that have emerged (which is obviously great for developers and early adopters who get cheap masternodes and then leech off miners) - this does seem like an interesting coin with reasonable activity here and the dev's comments seem reasonable, etc.

BUT

If one of the biggest pools mining this coin can have 2 hour runs of 40+ orphans there is a problem. Other people recently have posted that on various pools they have mined for long periods with little or no reward - perhaps they too were the victims of long stretches of orphan blocks.

I don't remember exactly how/why orphan blocks occur, but when I started mining ETH 2 years ago, they were just something that happened occasionally and seemingly randomly, and there were maybe 1 in 20 or less orphan blocks on a medium sized pool.

I have never seen anything like consecutive runs of many 10s of orphans in a row.

Anyway, the point is - I am not willing to mine this coin until this issue is addressed by either the dev or a representative of one or more of the pools, and I suggest anyone else considering mining this coin does the same. Yes I am a small time hobbyist miner with only 2 rigs and maybe 10mh/s in neoscrypt - but I have been mining for over 2 years and tried probably 50 different coins. I have never seen anything like this before.
