301  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: April 29, 2023, 09:12:31 AM
^^
You are right. To be safe, you need to download the app or get it's download link from the official website and it would be even better if the devs have pgp keys which you can use to verify the authenticity of the downloaded files.
You should never look up the app name on appstore or search engines and download the first results you get.
For newbies who aren't aware of this then at least I expect them to follow their common sense to recognize fake apps. It shouldn't be that hard to realize it's fake when you see it has few downloads/reviews when it's supposed to be a popular app! Reviews and ratings can also be helpful.
Believe me, some people will never be able to differentiate between a fake and real app or website since they lack the basic ability to identify things very quickly and that is the reason why so many people fall victim to scams and phishing websites, etc. Do you think that a phishing website is absolutely perfect? No, but some people don't realize it.

It is until they see that they've done a mistake and then when they recheck, they see a lot of differences that they couldn't initially identify. It happens and it happens to a lot of people, and it's not only about newbies, to be honest.
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will April be a red month? on: April 29, 2023, 05:10:22 AM
Anything can happen, especially since the price drops to $28k or $27k. We are at the end of the month but the price has just gone up to $29k so it's possible the price will still be at $29k or go up to $30k. It's still hard to predict because we know the price could go anywhere and we don't have any valid clues.
The market mainly depends on the buying or selling pressures, if there is more buying and less selling, we will see a hike but if it's the opposite, expect another drop. I personally don't want it to go up yet and I expect the price to drop below to maybe around $24k so that there is another opportunity for buyers to hop in.

Market experts will surely publish their reviews about what they think will happen based on technical analysis and chart readings, and it will be interesting since I'm sure there will be a lot of mixed emotions and predictions.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you look for information about new project/coin? on: April 29, 2023, 01:25:35 AM
New projects give very good profit but very difficult to justify. But to get basic information about any new project or currency visit their official websites and observe their activities.Bitcointalk is the best platform to know about the new project.it's a good thing to make DYOR. New coins only create a lot of hype in the beginning and then most of them go down badly. It is very important to justify who is associated with any project teams.  Monitor how active their social media activities are and the teams experience.
Bitcointalk is not the best place to find out if a project is good or bad since everyone is allowed to post or announce their project here without any restrictions or anything, it is just that if users of the forum provide their views on the project which one can use to evaluate the authenticity of the project whether it is good or not.

Following a project closely will surely provide one with an idea about how it is and how it will be in the future since their behaviour can show their professionalism which is the most important thing for a project to succeed.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 28, 2023, 05:44:23 PM
Everything depends on a country whether gambling is a prohibited activity there or not.
If gambling in that country has a legal business permit law and there are no restrictions, then what the politician is doing is not a crime because he is in business to get some money.
Naturally, if he decided to take fair play in the gambling business so he could raise money to win in an election because the gambling business is a business with huge profits.
So the conclusion is that whatever business is done by politicians who are candidates in elections, if there is no prohibition on their business, then it is not a crime or mistake and we can also see that there are lots of government figures who take a fair in the gambling business in the country.
That is true, even though it's an unethical act to buy votes in an election since the right way is that the general public chooses the candidate by their own choice and will and not because they are being paid, but that is what happens in third-world and underdeveloped countries since there is corruption in everything.

As far as owning a casino is concerned, it basically can't be prohibited a person who is also a politician shouldn't or can't own a casino if the business is illegal within the country. A politician can use the money earned from any source for his bad doings if he is evil, so it isn't only because of the casino.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 28, 2023, 10:28:04 AM
I also don't have access to satellite dish like my relative does, this is how he is able to get the best out of these sports.
before betting you can see reviews of boxers who will fight from youtube. you can see the profile, how many matches have been made and how many wins he has won. all the information is on the internet. but indeed that is not your main reason for betting. I always avoid betting when the boxers are fighting I don't really know it. but sometimes I also just for fun to place my bets for this type of sport.
It's not actually as easy as it may sound. Risking your money on a sport that you don't understand much is not wise and one should only start betting once they have gathered enough knowledge and experience that allows them to understand and evaluate everything without much issues or needing to look up every single thing on the internet.

The very first thing he should be doing is to research but only to gain knowledge about his interest and not to be able to bet on the matches so soon. It will be better for him and he won't have to face unnecessary losses.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins, Telegram and Security on: April 28, 2023, 05:35:32 AM
My Question; How secured is this project? considering the facts that telegram can be hack with some sophisticated softwares.
I would definitely not consider providing my personal information such as my credit/debit card information to a bot no matter how much they promise that it's totally safe. Also, why in the first place one would use a bot on a messaging service provider to buy or sell cryptocurrencies when they can easily use that themselves using an exchange?

Even if one doesn't like the centralized exchange structures or doing KYC, it is still better than providing personal information to a bot created by a third-party developer to purchase cryptocurrencies through it.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 28, 2023, 04:14:24 AM
Well I think at some point, your friends might not be wrong and asking them to show you probes of them making more profits than losses isn't a justifying reason to not count Bitcoin investment as not gambling because if you agree with me, you'll understand that there are people who are full time into gambling and are doing extremely very well in it as compared to some crypto traders.
You also spoke about studying the chart and comparing it to lives games and I also wanted to remind you that you can aswell compare this to soccer betting where gamblers also have to make predictions based on analysis as well and with this few points I think there isn't much difference between gambling and crypto investment since they both have to do predictions to Make profit.
I would say you don't have much knowledge about cryptocurrency trading if you are comparing it with gambling only because one needs to make predictions to get profit from both, which isn't always true when it comes to gambling since only sports betting involves predicting the future outcomes and all other forms of gambling are purely based on luck.

On the other hand, you don't have to go through any losses if you can't predict the outcome correctly in trading unless you are doing futures trading which is somehow related to gambling since you can get liquidated if the prices go the other way than what you've predicted, but that's not really all about trading.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 27, 2023, 09:19:51 PM
I have no idea how KYC will help you in testing a new casino especially if we are playing with small amount of money.
Dont you think it is risky to give your identity for a new casino?
I would prefer to test new casino with small amount and without KYC than completing KYC just for testing purpose.
One more thing, be careful to increase your stake/bankroll although you managed to withdraw small amount on your testing purpose.
Scam casino will let you to withdraw small amount in order to attract you so you start a new session with bigger money then the scam casino will start their bad actions.
Casinos like that can be pretty dangerous they pay the smaller amounts and refuse to pay when the withdrawal is high, how the hell would a person know if the casino will turn out to be a scam if they have already been paid once even if the money was not that big? That is the reason why it's better to just stick to old and trusted casinos.

Also as you said, it is not really a good thing to provide KYC and personal information to a brand-new casino with no trust and reputation among the gambling community since it can be a threat to one's privacy.
309  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 27, 2023, 02:58:35 AM
Is anyone else feeling like something is wrong here?
Well, I honestly do not feel like anything wrong, and this is for sure because, I know nothing about all the stuffs you mentioned in the op that is going on.
I gamble on stake like one of two times in a week, or even more in some weeks when I really feel like gambling, but I must admit I've not really paid any attention to their bonus structure, so I honestly did not notice if it got reduced or not.

One thing that is constant in live is change, things must not remain the same, at some point, some things are supposed to change so as to adapt to the changing world and economy we live and operate in, so I am not surprised if all you said is true.
It's basically all just assumptions about the events that unfolded at the same time. Though I agree that change is important in life or even in businesses to bring in variety to attract more customers, when a gambling platform reduces the bonuses it used to give to its players before, that definitely will catch the attention of the community of gamblers.

Only they know the reason behind what they did, whether it's about cutting costs or allocating funds to something else, or it has something to do with their license and whatever, we don't know the truth yet.
310  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: April 26, 2023, 07:46:43 AM
I'm sure there are a lot of online cryptocurrency casino out there which are reputable even though they did not introduced their company here. But it is also my preference to play on casinos which are widely known here in Bitcointalk.
You see, many people choose a casino base on their reputation and because they have access to reach their representative from the forum here, believing that they have their signature campaign running on the forum here is another advantage gamblers decided to use the ones coming from this forum, other casinos out the forum here could also serve you right but incase of anything happens, can you trace or locate anyone of their representative or contact lines, people don't want to go too far without having a recommendation from someone they know that uses the casino and they also have interest in joining as well, every casinos on this forum had a discussion thread for their services.
Though it's true that it's better if you are using a casino that has a representative in the forum, I think casinos that are not present in the forum also do pretty well in managing customer problems if they are reputable and trusted and one should only gamble on a platform that isn't available in the forum if it already has a reputation.

A trusted and reputable casino, despite not having a representative in the forum, will be responsive through email and live support and I say this because I've seen it happening with myself in the past.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 26, 2023, 05:31:33 AM
Gujarat Titans showed enough good game their batting performance was excellent. Gujarat Titans collected 207 runs in the match losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Shubman Gill was in good form and his batting performance was excellent as he scored a half century. Gujarat Titans batted best towards the end of the game and their score was highest today. Rahul Tewatia was the best finisher in the last few overs of the game. David Miller also had a great batting performance but if he could have lasted a little longer there would have been more runs. But in today's match, if Mumbai Indians can't do a good batting performance, they definitely won't be able to win the match. To win this match, Mumbai Indians must put up a great batting performance and move forward with wickets in hand.
In early overs we have some better performance from the MI, but after 15 overs till end things were completely in control of GT which won this match by good margin and now have second spot in league table MI completely down in batting as their all stars were completely failed to perform as required which is surely the biggest concern for them and if they are not able to check their mistakes then surely things can go from bad to worse for them because currently they are at the bottom of the league table, and now we have 7 rounds gone which mean from here they need to give their 100% for staying into touch for the better end of this season SKY. Kishan and Rohit Sharma all are out of the touch, which is surely not good news for them and their fans as well.
312  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 25, 2023, 03:22:23 PM
As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the stakes, their policy is that they can change it anytime, no gambler can complain about that, and you don't seem to know that. In addition to that, it seems that what Stakes did was also okay because instead of removing the bonus for their qualified gamblers on their gambling platform, they still kept it even though they knew that the allocation they had for that had decreased. Therefore, they still really prioritize their community gamblers to be honest. But this was just my thoughts and opinion only.
You clearly didn't understand what the thread is basically about, it's not just about Stake, but it's about all the casinos and their licensing authority since there is news in circulation that the authorities are investigating the licensing firm and at the same time, casinos are cutting down bonuses and there might be some relation between the two events.

But it's all assumptions and no one really knows what's the case. Of course, casinos can change their policies any time they want by informing their customers about it, but a sudden change of bonuses will surely raise questions among the community.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 25, 2023, 12:58:53 PM
Whatever algorithm, AI, or whatever is designed, the odds are always set by the casinos and always they will make it an advantage for them.

Also, it's by design, and they try to disguise it a lot, so that it "looks" or "feels" like there's no advantage to the casino, but make no mistake, there really is there an advantage to them.
Well, honestly, when it comes to sports betting, there is nothing a casino can do really to have the odds in their favour, I'm not really sure how the odds are calculated but whether a casino will get more or less totally depends which team will win a match and how much is staked by the gamblers on the team that was playing against the winning team.

The odds in other gambling games are surely in the favour of the house all the time, especially with the house edge, a gambler simply doesn't have a lot of chances to win against the house and even if they manage to do that, they will eventually lose again.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: April 25, 2023, 03:52:22 AM
Actually the new version of Bing is integrating the ChatGPT technology, but you can only access it through the Microsoft browser, MS Edge.
If you ask the same question to this tool "Which football club do you think will win the premier league this year and why ?", you will get a very different answer than the one of the OP, way more accurate and up to date actually. But if you look at the arguments, you will see it is still far from being able to beat any serious bookmaker for now though.
I find this to be much more accurate and reasonable than the response from ChatGPT given by the OP. The reason for that is simply because Bing's artificial intelligence model probably has access to the internet and to all the latest data available out there, while the free version of ChatGPT has limited and outdated information.

I've barely used Bing's AI model but from this, it seems to provide better responses than the free version of ChatGPT and it will probably gain a lot of popularity once it is released for the whole public, I think it's currently only available to those who opted in for early access.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much will the NFT collection rise in price after Elon Musk notices it? on: April 25, 2023, 02:55:55 AM
You plan on creating a designated NFT about a sole individual Elon Musk. This very much makes him your target and only customer and so, his likely the only one who would want this piece. What happens if he eventually doesn't pick interest? You'll end up stock just where you began and that's so not your expectation on the project right.

NFT isn't what it was when it did hit the lime light and it would take more to stir people to an Elon based NFT project. Wish you luck by the way and hope your plan materialises becuase, I really don't see much need. Who knows, Elon might notice and what a customer he would be.
There is basically no chance for him to have or show any interest towards NFTs as he is not really interested in things like that. It would be a waste of time and resources if someone goes all in just to create an NFT collection that would specifically target him and would require his attention for it to get success.

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If someone really wants to get into NFTs, they should do some research to find out what the market is buying and selling at the moment and maybe go with something like that if they know they can make unique NFTs that can sell.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: April 23, 2023, 11:20:00 AM
Today's 32nd Match of Indian Premier League started. Royal Challengers Bangalore came out to bat. Scored 62 runs in 6 overs and lost 2 wickets. Virat Kohli might not have thought that he would bat so badly in the match. Virat Kohli got out first ball.  Out of the field. Trent Boult of Rajasthan Royals team took 2 wickets with 24 runs in 3 overs. If Rajasthan Royals can perform well in bowling then the batsmen of Royal Challengers Bangalore team will be under pressure.
Rajasthan looked to be on top of Bangalore at the beginning with 2 wickets of RCB falling very quickly, but it seems the match has turned sides already with Glenn Maxwell and Faf Du Plessis building an amazing partnership of over 100 already and both of them are still batting. Both players have scored more than 50 runs each.

The projected score is pretty high and there are a lot of overs left yet they also have got a lot of wickets in hand, so it's probably going to be a huge target for Rajasthan Royals to chase today and we will see if they are up to the task or not.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inactive BTC whale transfers $8M worth Bitcoin After 10 years Inactivity on: April 22, 2023, 07:18:39 PM
How come a holder did not transfer his bitcoins after being inactive for ten years i.e. in 2021 when the price of bitcoins peaked, but in today's down market why did he transfer his bitcoins?

Ref:
https://twitter.com/lookonchain/status/1649387289745977344?s=19
https://decrypt.co/137493/bitcoin-whale-moves-nearly-8m-after-10-years-inactivity
There can be different reasons why he didn't move his Bitcoins in the previous bull run when the price hit its all-time high, the very first is that he probably didn't have access to his wallet back then, or he might even have forgotten that he had bought some Bitcoins back then and still have them somewhere, but I don't think this could have been the reason.

Also, the reason for him moving some of his assets could also be something else and he may not be selling them yet, he could possibly be changing his Bitcoin storage or splitting them into separate wallets for more safety, we never know.
318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will Bitcoins vanished in one day when we woke up? on: April 22, 2023, 02:16:40 PM
Is there a situation where we woke up one day and found out all our bitcoins vanished? Blockchain or DLT has a common explanation where it is calculated to solve double spending problem which represent a incomparable transaction that are solve through the computers in the network?
Yes, it's possible that all your Bitcoins vanish overnight and you wake up only to find out that your wallet is empty, but that won't happen because of double spending or the 51% attack, but only if you are storing your Bitcoins in either an online wallet or in a platform wallet like an exchange or anything else because in that case, your assets are always at the risk of being stolen.

That is the reason why it is important to always store your Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrencies in a secure wallet, it should either be a hardware wallet or a wallet that gives you access to your private keys, Electrum is an example of that.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About football betting on: April 22, 2023, 06:32:02 AM
What you just mentioned, as I presume was already mentioned by a couple blokes in here, is not only situated and isolated with football, that is how the whole enterprise of sportsbetting works. You put your faith in your favorite team, hope for the best, and either profit or lose in the process. Sure there are bookies but all they really do is to be the commonplace where bets and pays are situated, they don't hold any form of control over the match or the game and are just there to take bets and pay winners. Bookies being able to tamper with the games as you put it is next to impossible, since most games that are being bet on are high-class title matches where  lot of things besides money is at stake and thus fixing will not be possible.
You would never really know, even the matches from big titles can be fixed since there can be mafias who might buy specific players or even the teams and make them lose a game only for the sake of themselves winning a bet, they wouldn't care paying millions of dollars for the fixing of the match since they will probably get billions in return for that.

It's obviously true that sportsbooks themselves have nothing to do with sports events as they can literally have no influence on them and casinos aren't so rich that they can fix matches only for themselves to have an advantage.
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I invest 4k bitcoin on: April 22, 2023, 05:31:09 AM
Where can I invest 4k bitcoin
To make profit daily 100$

Any suggestions inside crypto or any other field
There is literally no place where you simply invest your money and get $100 daily as profit while your deposited capital is totally safe, if you find a website or a project promising you that, you better run away from that because it's only a trap and you will lose all your money. Remember, there is no quick way to get rich in the world with ease.

I would suggest you learn to trade and do that instead, start with a smaller amount initially when you are in the learning phase, and once you become confident about yourself, you can go ahead and trade with your capital and get daily profits.
