301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto can be less volatile than gold? on: October 24, 2018, 08:16:41 PM
Many people compare crypto to gold, and I see so many similarities as well.

I believe one day crypto can be less volatile than gold. If more people adopt, and address values to everyday items, trading in a daily basis, (like for grocery shopping) then crypto will  be easier to use, safer, fluctuate less in terms of prices, and a lot more stable.

What do you guys think?
I do not think the volatility of cryptocurrency can be totally eliminated. It is part of its features, which will continue to exist and i would say that it is one of those things that make it interesting.
Despite the volatility of cryptocurrency, it can still be used for transactions dine both offline and online, such as the one done in stores or with some companies such as HTC and of course there are still many more to come.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a fake coin? on: October 24, 2018, 08:02:19 PM
I just saw this somewhere on the internet. Are there any fake coins existing? How do you avoid buying fake coins?
Definitely there are fake coins. These most time happen to tokens using the ethereum platform. There might be an original token and some scammers would create theirs in order to deceive novice into buying from them.
Which ever coin you want to buy, check if it is listed on coinmarketcap and get the exchanges on which it is listed.
If you want to buy such coin on exchange while not listed on CMC, you can check the contract address and compare with that of the project team.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone suggest some altcoins to buy? on: October 24, 2018, 07:34:56 PM
There are lots of altcoins(well, ICOs) Can anyone suggest some altcoins to buy?
I searched some on ICO listing cites, but it seems a lot of them are paid to be rated high. Some coins have only 100+ members on Telegram... Undecided
I know that the price will go up and down but how to find some altcoins that is really doing something revolutionary and worth to invest?
I came across some projects these days with very limited number of members, such a Trivver. The project could not make any reasonable sales, let alone reaching softcap. Although, they were honest enough to return the money invested by their investors.
Apart from ratings or even suggestions made by anyone to you. It will be good you do some research yourself.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Cryptocurrency to invest 2018? on: October 24, 2018, 04:32:49 PM
is ethereum better than bitcoin? what do you thịnk about that? Which is the best Cryptocurrency to invest 2018?
It could be a joke to think that with the present state of the market, that ethereum is better than bitcoin. Bitcoin is still the one taking the lead of all coins and it has gone far ahead of them all. Nonetheless, anything can change at any time. Although, i presently still invest in ethereum because of the prospects it has. So, that i think bitcoin is better, does not rule out the fact that more profit can be made on ethereum.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters are Destroying the System, How can we Deal with them? on: October 23, 2018, 10:54:10 PM
The solution to that is nothing far fetched from each participants submitting their data through KYC. Despite this KYC, some participants will still cheat, because some of them use fake identities. So they can make copies of national ID and passport that are fake. Although, nit many can do that, so it will definitely reduce the rate. Afterwards, we can now begin to look into details on the KYC documents submitted, but that will be dine by the project team.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin do I need to invest in on: October 23, 2018, 10:53:51 PM
Do not just invest into any coin, because you are seeing it in red. There are time that some coins might have been in red,, yet they will keep on dumping. So, you need to study how a coin behaves first before investing, allow the price to be stable, which means you should not invest against trend. Then you can now invest, after you might have seen the price dumped in relation to the lowest price it was sold.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO on: October 23, 2018, 10:53:15 PM
Do you think is a good time for buying some NEO now? Whit many Ico coming could be the last chance before the price is going to increase much.
I think NEO is presently stable at the low price it is now, which means that the next we could see might be the rise. Although, there are some controversies on NEO, that it is centralized, which makes it non-cryptocurrency. NEO has been a coin with much interest until recently that it began to dump. In any case, i am still very much interested in it, because i perceive that no matter what is said about it, it will still rise.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for ICO, is it good or bad idea? on: October 17, 2018, 01:31:54 PM
Hi, everybody. With the development of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, not only good ideas and projects began to develop, but also those who want to get a lot of money on the HYIP,  use new technologies for their personal purposes. Projects began to carry out the KYC procedure for investors, airdrops, bounties to protect their projects from prosecution by the authorities, to improve security, to know their investors in person. But maybe we can use the KYC procedure not only for buyers but also for sellers. If we introduce such a procedure for new projects, it will increase the level of investor confidence, as well as deter many fake projects from collecting our funds, protect our crypto assets from fraud. This procedure can be entered in this forum to host projects or in special platform. The project developer will have to provide his personal and contact details.
Do you think this is a good or bad idea? Express your opinion.
I guess the point you are trying to drive at is making ICO CEOs to provide their personal details to the public in order to make investors to have more confidence in them.
Most projects provide some details of their CEO, team members, legal advisors and other advisors. It's just that most of them are fake and impersonating.

The only way you can detect this, is to do an intensive study on the team of such ICO.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Doing 2 or more ICO facebook campaign? on: October 17, 2018, 12:51:38 PM
I am more specific in joining bounty campaign and i am doing it with social media specifically the facebook campaign. I only join one ICO at a time so as not to compromise the crypto ad on my timeline or newsfeed. However, as i posted my report in the thread i am curios about how others doing as well in the facebook campaign. And as i open their facebook timeline i was surprised since it has two or more different crypto ads present there and the facebook is fake and it is being made only for that purpose for just joining bounty campaigns.  And i am trying also to browse the other member's facebook account and still it is the same. They are joining two or more ICO's in their facebook account. Is it okay to join two or more ICO facebook campaign in just one facebook account? Who among you here have tried this? Are you successful in receiving bounty rewards in facebook campaign?
Although, i am no more into social media bounty, because of the influx of so many participants in social media bounty, as well as the lesser allocations for this programme.
Social media bounty, such as Facebook campaign allows for spamming, which is why you see a lot of participants join so many bounties at the same time and yet they get their rewards, except where it ius specified by the manager that spamming with other projects is not allowed.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ICO on: October 17, 2018, 12:39:34 PM
Hello all,

There's one thing I have ever noticed, after ico the token price dropped drastically could anyone explain why such is happening...
Eg, there are some tokens are I have in my wallet which I want to trade since then till now I have been waiting for the price to come up but instead decreasing. What do I do in this scenario?
Some ICOs these days are more concerned about enriching themselves, then by the time they list, they seem not to be concerned about how the tokens behave after listing. Except for some few ones that follow up their listing tokens and ensure that they grow and trade above ICO price.
What you should so most times when you receive your tokens,, study them first and deduce from your study if there is any likelihood for it to dump.
If it appears it could dump, sell and buy back if it dips.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market rebounding? on: October 17, 2018, 12:34:44 PM
It's been a long time I've seen almost all of the BTC and Alt are green.
Really, I'm really excited!
So is this really a good thing for the return of the Crypto market? Has it really gone through big changes?
Even as at the time you made this post, there has not been any big change. Rather all we gave been seeing are just cycles on pump and dump.
I think the aftermath of what we have been seeing are as a result of the activities of traders.
Traders are taking advantage of this time to make project. They will always desire bearish market, which they cannot be tired of.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies might become securities according to SEC on: October 17, 2018, 11:43:28 AM
The former chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Gary Gensler said that most tokens sold through Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) should be classified as securities.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/former-cftc-chairman-gary-gensler-icos-should-be-considered-securities

"This means that issuers of coins would have to comply with certain laws, register with the SEC, and disclose specific information like a description of the organization’s properties or financial statements."

If the crypto industry is going to evolve, investors need to be protected. I don't see this as a bad thing. There will still be other tokens that will never be considered securities for those against this possibility.

How will ICO's being classified as securities affect the crypto market?

If all ICOs become security token, the volatility of crypto will be reduced and this will provide investors with  more trust in the system.
Although, i do not see the possible of all tokens become security tokens, because some might still be bent on full decentralization.
Security tokens most times operate on centralized system, guided by regulations which must be followed strictly.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A Question To All Signature Bounty Hunters! on: October 14, 2018, 10:53:52 PM
To make it easier for yourself, most especially in choosing the project's signature to wear, you can just follow some managers tyo participate in their bounty.
This does not stop you from doing your own research on those projects. Bounty managers are not perfect, they are likely going to also mistake, which means you also need to do it yourself.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who needs today to believe? on: October 14, 2018, 10:42:24 PM
One of the hardest  things to do these days is speculating on prices. Some speculated and today, just because of that they almost lost their investments, because it became more of losses.
I still believe though, that this year still has so me prospects, which is one of the reasons why i am not loosing any hope when it comes to the discovery of means.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why should i always have fiat? on: October 14, 2018, 09:22:21 PM
Part of the things that limit us sometimes and prevent us from having some profits as at when due is when we do not have backups. These backups are fiats that might be needed in case of any emergency.
For instance, i am a holder of ethereum and at a point, a could not sell them, because their prices had plunged. Then it was good i had fiat, so i just bought from the dip and i was able to make some profits.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I earn a merit on Altcoins Section? on: October 14, 2018, 09:06:47 PM
There is no place you are on this forum that you will not be able to earn any merit, altcoins section inclusive.
Do not be too bothered about getting merits, but be more concerned about helping others that may need your help through some things that you know. By so doing, merit will automatically come.

If there is anything you know and you feel others will need, feel free to share them.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from your mistakes on: October 14, 2018, 08:28:43 PM
We seriously need go very careful whenever we are dealing with something we have never had an encounter with before, just in the case of the OP. This is more like a reminder to everyone, because virtually everyone of us is liable to such mistake.
When it comes to instructions, they are like guides that we cannot do without. Reading twice to be sure is most times essential.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rule change is a problem of all hunters.Bad team, scam or both - EPNEX.İO example on: October 12, 2018, 08:37:18 PM
I once participated in an ICO that did something very much similar to this. Immediately i got to know we were asked to do KYC after the campaign, which was not demanded before the start of the campaign, it was then i knew it was scam.
There are also similar case like that.
I believe a time will come that there will be regulations as regards asking bounty hunters for KYC.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emotional day trading on: October 12, 2018, 08:11:03 PM
Thise who do not know how to day trade, will dare not venture into it. Which is why some people ask questions sometimes on how to go about it.
Although, there are times you will not know some of these things, except you try it yourself.
Just as interesting as day trading is, it also has lots of risks, but if you are afraid because of the risks, you might not be able to make headway in the crypto space.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Shift from ICO's to STO's? on: October 12, 2018, 06:43:07 PM
As we all know, the world of ICO's is riddled with scams and mistakes, but many investors are still putting their money into ICO projects. What needs to happen for there to be a shift from ICO's to the more secure and reliable STO's?
The principle of every business is, the higher the risk, the more the profit. Which is why i believe so many people would want to prefer ICO over STO.

I think some people may not know the full meaning of STO. It's called Security Token Offering, which means it is only meant for security tokens. While ICO can accommodate security tokens, utility tokens, equity and so on.

The fact that we are in a system  decentralization in the crypto space, which so many crypto enthusiasts prefer. Whereas STO is centralized. Which means tje lovers of decentralization would prefer ICO.

In order not to fall victim of scam, investors just need to take to precautions.
