All new users who use Windows, can try download and install this fix, before launching wallet for the first time. DOWNLOAD HERE: http://snk.to/f-cdh3bilja .conf file identical to the one outlined by thekidcoin a few hundred times is a fix? Also I am not sure I understand the sanity in packing a 120byte config file into a 100kb self-extracting .exe file For those who are wondering. The file seems to be safe, it's a WinRAR self-extracting archive. Ah ok. Why not just upload the .conf file haha. Tiny .exe files are usually not good I made this self-extracting archive for those users who don't know how to find Appdata folder. Ah ok. May help some people out then. I made a scan with virustotal and 2/51 antivirus program detected a virus/trojan. Could be false positives though, as it's only 2 out of 51: https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/5617b96681fe99707562220805e84c23d7934ca876c5b0d21a27260d010c10a0/analysis/1395953621/This has worked for everyone (unless they had IP filtering on)
There is nothing to fix unless one of you send me the message of why its stuck in the debug log. I am not a mind reader unfortunately.
It is likely a forked/bad node. I cannot reproduce it. If it is a bad node, it will be dropped as of 4/1/2014 00:00:00 GMT
Delete all files in %appdata%\fluttercoin or ~/.fluttercoin EXCEPT wallet.dat
Make your conf file look like this:
rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 connect=54.203.244.170 connect=54.203.244.27 connect=54.199.237.235 noirc=1 dnsseed=0
Its not possible to download the wrong fork using this method. All those nodes are operating on the correct blockchain.
Then, shutdown the wallet, and change the conf back to look like:
rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 addnode=54.203.244.170 addnode=54.203.244.27 addnode=54.199.237.235 noirc=1 listen=1 dnsseed=1 server=1
This has worked for me as well.

Why is everyone selling? This coin is the first of it's kind. guess no one values its functions, yet?
Most of those "everyone" are multipools who automatically convert the mined coins of their users into btc. And as long as the price and hashrate are so low and the mining keeps being so profitable they will keep mining and selling fluttercoins. But I don't really see this as a problem. At least not a problem we can easily fix without other big miners mining fluttercoin permanently and making it unprofitable to mine fluttercoin for the multipools. Anyway it's not that much coins, you can see the price is rising. And every day Fluttercoin gets new people interested who are willing to invest in it, so the more time goes by, the smaller the "problem" becomes. Actually I think it's a good thing. The multipools push the trade volume. Cheers

The Fluttercoin official website is now up and running, needs some polishing here and there but it looks great. Thanks to lumeire! http://www.fluttercoin.us/Well done! The website looks great Wallet is not synching past 15553! ...maybe this will get your attention. Tried different approaches, one of which was using only the block explorer links as nodes. In this last attempt i got a beautiful " WARNING: Invalid checkpoint found! Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or notify developers." message instead of the normal green "Synchronizing with network..." bar. Same problem here. I got the latest wallet version. I tried 32 and 64 version and I tried the dnsseed thing. I wonder if you guys are the only ones having this issue... everything's working fine on my end and client.

ATTENTION:
Fluttercoin network is either being attacked, or something has forked.
There are multiple pools getting pure orphans, some pools getting a few orphans, but the fact remains, almost 100% of the big pools are getting orphans in the last 10 or 20 blocks.
Can a developer please check in to this?
There isn't anything to check, giant multipools with multi-GH of hashrate keep jumping on and off, there's nothing you can do about orphans when they don't give a shit about the network and just jump on and submit their large chains. If this is a "attack" these days, it's becoming the norm for every coin, that's for sure. Once the price rises again the standard hashrate will rise as well and the network will get more stable and immune to multipools. can anyone school me on how the price of flt will be affected if btc rises? it will make flt go lower, right?
The flt/btc isn't directly affected by the btc/usd price. Only the flt/usd rate changes if the btc/usd changes. But there are no flt/usd exchanges yet anyway.

Looks like half the mined coins are owned by 1 giant address who owns basically half of the coins. That could be good or bad... I've had Agran the developer to make this TOP 100 FLUTTERCOIN Address for fun. Now you guys can see the richest fluttercoin supporters. Try it out, put your address in and search. http://agran.net/flt_getbalance.phphttp://agran.net/flt_getbalance.php?top=100If you want to donate FLT to the creator: FK68Wt4ayapyZXDwjbcEro6cMF4ungPK7j My address: FSqYr2p5NdCLGzRqMoXxVWtuZTWEedw1cA 36 million+ FLT coins?? O_O perhaps this wallet is owned by Bter or Mintpal? Could be... I'm not sure how the exchanges handle funds etc Maybe FEpZtC6JHLprKLeczimSV5bzkTHADrDDz5 is the cold wallet of bter. I guess many people didn't bother to download the wallet for themselves at this point, but are storing their fluttercoins at an exchange.

do we need to do anything special to our wallets to receive POS coins?
The only things required to receive POS rewards is that you have received the coins at least 30 days earlier and that your wallet is open.

NO !!!!!!!!! Hype is over ? Lol, it's just getting started. Fluttercoin is getting listed everywhere right now, it was only recently added to coinmarketcap, coinwarz, bter, mintpal and probably more sites I just don't know of. And I truly believe MintPal will be the new reference soon. I agree. MintPal is a great exchange. Much better than bter and craptsy.

Estimated next difficulty is usually incorrect for most coins, especially coins that adjust every block like this one does
Okay I see. Thanks
|
|
|
Why is the difficulty going up if the estimated difficulty is going down? Because the average time per block is going up as well... Previous Difficulty 40.06839295 Est Next Difficulty 30.34851072 (Change in 1 Blocks) Est. Avg. Time per Block 1 minutes 30 seconds Previous Block 12008 Current Difficulty 42.52628591 Est Next Difficulty 26.85870689 (Change in 1 Blocks) Est. Avg. Time per Block 1 minutes 36 seconds Current Block 12054 This is what http://flt.cloudminers.net is showing. Btw, like this topic if you want Cryptsy to add FLT: https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000269792

Das hört sich doch gut an, oder? Kein regulierter Bitcoin, sondern regulierte Handelsplätze. Falls es überhaupt eine Regulierung im Umgang mit Bitcoins geben sollte, dann doch eine dieser Art, richtig?

Diff is slightly going up, so people are getting interested. People are talking about FLT at IRC as well. It's just a matter of time before everyone is on it I agree, the diff rise is steady daily, and it is 2x more than when I started after the fork was solved. I think people just need a break from all of the usual clones and when they see something different will definetely follow it. First coin with Proof Of Block, if this is not different I don`t know what is...I am supporting all of the coins that bring something new to the cryptoworld so I will be supporting this aswell. Yes I agree. But Fluttercoin needs a website. With a own website FLT would automatically become more interesting for anyone interested in alt-cryptocurrencies.
