302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shooting erupts at Florida gay nightclub, 'multiple injuries': police on: June 14, 2016, 02:57:39 AM
I don't think it has anything to do with their sexual preference. Terrorist kills anyone that they want to regardless of it's sexual preference or race. They kill because they kill people.

Reports indicate that the perpetrator decided to attack, after getting offended by the sight of males kissing each other. So it seems that the attack was based on sexual preference. He had his 3 hours of fame.. and 50 individuals lost their lives. Had any of these victims carried a gun for self defense, at least three or four dozen lives would have been saved.

I was just going to say what you said, and also, you dont go to a gay club and shoot people up if you dont have problems with gays. These people got killed because they loved the same sex.
It's one of the saddest things I've seen happen on US soil.
303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we crack the ATH very soon? on: June 13, 2016, 03:42:55 AM
Getting there. Just a few more weeks.
I doubt we'll break the ATH, even with the halving, but I'm damn sure that we'll get very close to it. I don't think people are going to get aggressive enough to propel Bitcoin beyond that value, but if we do break the ATH we might start to see some governments or entities start viewing Bitcoin as a strategic resource, and it could position Bitcoin for incredibly high values in the future.

Optimistically, we'll break the ATH. Realistically, we won't.

I disagree. Realistically we will break ath soon. If you look at the chart we have broke through the $650 resistance and now no more resistance till $1200.
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you do with your new wealth? on: June 13, 2016, 03:07:08 AM
How many BTCs do you guys have?
Want to know what you are considering "wealth"
I don't have more than 0.08 Bitcoin stored, but I would say that anyone who has a total of something like 2-10 Bitcoins is relatively wealthy (as only ~9.5m and ~2.1m people will ever have potentially more Bitcoin than them), but even having 1 Bitcoin would mean you're more wealthy than a lot of the other users involved in Bitcoin. This would be especially applicable if Bitcoin was to ever take off.

ever take off? Its taking off now but I do agree with the rest of your post. later in life most people will not be able to afford 1 full btc and those with 2-10 will be very rich.

I hear there are multiple fatalities. News on that has not broke yet though. I assume you'll read it or here it in the next few minutes.

I wish I was wrong here but I have good connections. 50 people dead and 50 more are injured. This was a tragedy, 50 Killed because of their sexual preference makes me sick.
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we crack the ATH very soon? on: June 12, 2016, 09:41:04 AM
Yes. 100% moon is soon. New ATH is inevitable.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Party 2016 on: June 12, 2016, 09:28:11 AM
For me life's been one mega party since bitcoin came into my life so many years ago. But I have no specific plan for the moment it halfs. Maybe I'll crack a nice bottle of Brandy and pour myself a glass.

Anybody else care for liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti?

Only if it tastes like chicken!  Grin
309  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: June 12, 2016, 09:16:09 AM
Less then 1% for sure, especially with the amount of btc that will be in circulation then

314  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC now equals $630!!! on: June 12, 2016, 08:48:41 AM
I apologize in advance if someone else already started a similar thread, I did a quick search but couldn't any. To the mods out there please delete this thread if a similar one already exists.
I just thought I'd inform people who are not necessarily following the price movement as this is a pretty sizable increase from ~$580 a few hours ago. Wonder how high we'll reach this time Smiley

well price now is a little bit smaller than 630$, i think at this moment price is 570$, but it is still very good i think for us and for bitcoins, because more people will be interested in bitcoins

and i think that this price rise is because of halving, as lots of people buys now, but i think it's still very awesome, as i don't care why price rises, i care that price is large

Its not 570 anywhere. Where do you see that?
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New coin project in the works. Gambling ICO project. More to come. on: June 12, 2016, 08:37:27 AM
Is it a casino, sports, horses, poker, lottery, raffle, bingo, esports.
Please tell us more.

Horses actually could work. I don't know of too many sports books that accept btc and offer wagering on horse races from around the world.
Bingo though must have been a joke right? Bitcoiners and Bingo. Actually, it does have a nice ring to it.
316  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC now equals $630!!! on: June 12, 2016, 08:23:26 AM
LMAO, I went dyslexic for a moment and read $360. Was about to cry. Till I read it again.
Thanks for the scare buddy.

James, can you put in an auto update on how much was raised in the OP, or just update manually every few hours so people are not forced to check the address.

Not sure how to do an auto-update, but i'll definitely check and update occasionally!

Change the address to a blockchain.info link - https://blockchain.info/address/1HD921z1ojj6cU4wNubJo5mKUSgvCEPPdx

It sucks how these scumbags who do stuff like this only further the hatred of Bitcoin. Many who don't know anything about it read main stream media like this and then conclude, ah look it's Bitcoin again, that currency that's only used by hackers and people doing illegal things.

Hackers who give discounts? The hacker had some heart by lowering the price but he should have made her just keep her btc and unlock her computer because you don't scam old ladys who are probably poor and spend all their money helping helpless animals.
Makes me want to throw up all over my computer when I read these stories and listen to the pain in her voice on the radio show.
Is there any way to track down the hackers and try to get them arrested?
WTF?? He even negotiated and lowered the price? That's like him saying "yeah I know what I'm doing is wrong, but fuck you." What a dirt bag.

320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why SPOETNIK is a real GEM in the altcoin discussions on: June 10, 2016, 07:38:49 PM
I think I bashed spoetnick once because he just wouldn't let shit go. But I probably have more in common with him than most of the folks in this community. One of my first posts on the main forum was some thing to the effect that satoshi probably regrets giving this technology to a bunch of primates.

I think that's where his head is at.

Satoshi does not think anything like that. Im sure he's proud to see what he birthed come to life and grow into this wonderful thing we all call Bitcoin.
