301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VERITAS - Decentralised, Censor-Free Platform for Journalists on: December 12, 2016, 10:00:53 PM
Nice graphics but looks like a get-money-quick-scheme. White paper is full of blah-blah of high level, does not mean anything, a high school student can write it this way easily. Nothing concrete (like algorithms) is there. So it is almost certain that it is a crap does not worth anything.

ICO (meaning qiock money for "dev")? no thanks.

yupp. looks like one of those fiver graphics that we see about once a week ;p

ICO+NO MINING= Get you OWN fucking xmas money ya bastards , you won't see a penny from me!!\

Plus i mean, its ALREADY list on ICOCountdown?  "SCAM CONFIRMED"

I have done due dilligence and I have sufficient data. I am a bit concerned with the account selling for vip MEMBERS:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1610372.msg16193668#msg16193668

Who is this account associated with?

0.27 bitcoin for a full member account??? wow, looks like being a senior member that your account and my account  worth something, lmao.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GNEISS (Global Network Encryption Investment Security Service) ALPHA Launch &ICO on: December 12, 2016, 09:46:36 PM
with nothing new in tech:
newbie launch a new coin = fail
newbie launch a new coin with ICO = get-money-quick and dump scheme = scam and shitcoin

Well said. This game becomes epic... What's the point of launching these new copy-and-paste coins, with newbie, and seeks for ICO? are there so many desperate high school students trying to get some money while they can no longer get from their parents??  Grin
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Size of your mining farm? on: December 12, 2016, 09:33:38 PM
600+ GPUs, wow... do we really make money on it? I really doubt it, anyone can provide more info?
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Pascal Coin: P2P cryptocurrency without need of historical operations on: December 12, 2016, 09:31:00 PM
I noticed a miner by the name of "suprnova" came online and is finding blocks FAST.

Is a pool already up?

Interesting wallet... why we show pool miner's name? looks like a privacy problem (i know I can use any name, but still what's the point to show it?)
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 12, 2016, 09:28:11 PM

"fair launch POW" will not be fair at all, it favors people with more hash power thus those with more BTCs (they can buy hash power at places like nicehash). ICOs even worse, it put priority to those who have more BTCs and satisfy first the greedy of the dev, instead of encouraging dev to do a better work. And many garbage coins and promises on the papaer are created this way.

Fair launch POW favours nobody at all. You all have to contribute the same effort to mine. The only real variable is cost of electricity and over a short mining period that does not mean much.

Of course if you have more money you can rent more hash? but you are actually being charged the same as anyone else. You are actually spending money you are not getting coins for free however rich you are. This method is giving you a LOT more FREE coins just because you are rich and have more BTC you do not have to spend your BTC to get it. So you are getting hugely unfair advantage at no cost or risk at all.

...

Of course PoW favors big guys with hash power. Just look at other coins for PoW, who got the most of the coins? Go to a pool and look, big guys got it all. For a small guy like me, I'd prefer what Tony defined for distribution. The distribution is not once for all, but several distribution and also count the BBs you have. So it is fair.

307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cannabis Industry Coin XCI anon blockchain for the legal marijuana NEW on: December 12, 2016, 09:10:00 PM
many coins for cannabis exist. does this one actually used by the cannabis industry? even if it is used by one dispenser it will be something. otherwise it is a simple shitcoin with nothing really in the mind of the developers.
308  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cryptocoin wallets on: December 12, 2016, 09:06:16 PM
hello i aim to install a bitcoin wallet offline on my hard disk drive. But i also want other altcoins offline wallet. So may i install many cryptocoins offline wallet on the same drive ? or do i have to buy for each cryptocoin a single drive ?

Crytocoin wallet don't interact as they use different ports and use different message signatures. Unless there will be one altcoin that uses exact the same port and message signature with bit coin, which I am not aware of.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: c-cex gone on: December 12, 2016, 09:01:55 PM
lol, seems working fine. I was nervous when I saw the title, as I still have some BTC and a bunch of altcoins there. Looks like just a maintenance Smiley
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DIX on: December 12, 2016, 07:41:45 PM
100 billions coins launched by a newbie, no new technology, just a copy-paste coin. I really doubt how the heck it can hold its price. dump will come soon if dev decides to do so.

Just registered at 1XBit, looks cool games. Just a question: are those powerball, superlotto etc games are linked with the real powerball, superlotto? So the winnining lottory numbers are the same at the same time?
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KURT] KURRENT - First Zerocoin that uses X11 algorithm on: December 12, 2016, 07:22:53 PM
I've just noticed that kurrent is at voting list on c-cex... lets help and vote for it!

https://c-cex.com/?id=vote

ok, will vote ;] more exchanges is always better for a coin!

Not sure how effective the voting is. I saw in their list some really old coins that are still stuck there. Either you pay them with enough bitcoins or have to wait for long long time. Or if the coin gets hot they will always take it, all they care is their commission.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Streamcoin X11 POW/POS on: December 11, 2016, 08:08:11 PM
Looks like another shitcoin, with no new tech, no new idea, and 20,000,000 premine. Definitely not worth to mine. The graphics likely done by a middle school student, maybe just his past-time project....lol, good luck anyway Grin

looks like huge instamining. 1730 blocks after 20 mins of launch? 20 mins should be about 20 blocks only. Dev mined at least 1600-1700 blocks before made it public, which is 1.6-1.7 million coins. This is equivalent to premine if no official premine at block 1.

EDIT: just notice 10% premine. Lol, what a crap, not worth to mine.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 11, 2016, 07:56:40 PM
Half of this thread is the complaint about distribution method. Whatever we argue about a "fair" method of distribution, there's no absolute fairness there. Whether by mining or others, people who have more resources (eg BTCs) will be advantageous. There's no denial of it. It is the real life. This one proposed by Tony is the most fair and straightforward as far as I can see. With little resources you won't be expect to get more in any circumstance.

I agree, no 100% fair system of distribution. I like this much better than ICOs. ICOs are simple gambles, often on groundless basis ad pure hype. The only winners in ICOs are dev or scammers. While the intention of the dev here is clearly to popularize the coin, and he did a lot of development and not copying from other coin. It is a great one for future.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 10, 2016, 08:51:29 AM
Can you link your btc address now and then empty that address or it needs to be btc filled till 24.12?

The bitcoin snapshot will be taken on the first block on or after dec-25 00:00:00 UTC, at that point in time you should have bitcoins in your linked address!  Wink

Is there anyway to use a blockchain.info address? Because they change the address on every transaction.

As suggested by the dev, you should only use the addresses where you have full control (i.e. have private key). Otherwise it could be problems. With blockchain.info, you can use the same receiving address though.

This is wonderful project with dev did all the original work. I am sure it will be big.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: December 10, 2016, 02:28:26 AM

Why Zcoin could be the trade of the year.

Newcomers to Zcoin wondering what the fuss is about, please check out this article:
https://cryptoblogposts.wordpress.com/2016/12/01/why-zcoin-could-be-the-trade-of-the-year/

I hope XZC will be much better once MTP released. The dev is doing something new which is encouraging. This is not like most of the coins that devs don't do anything or they don't know what to do.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PRE-ANN] some new coin????????????????????? on: December 09, 2016, 08:01:03 PM
We need an "ICO" for THE coin! man you don't need anything, just some vague plan which contains all the buzz words. And a "white paper" copying here and there the buzz paragraphs. Then an ICO! You will be rich, like so many "devs" in this forum, simply sell thin air with "ICO"s. Remember, professionally looking graphics is the key, although you have nothing, pretty images will give you credibiliy and make "investors" to believe you and donate you bitcoins Grin

You are really telling me that no work has to be done?

I a m    i n ! !

ICO SOON

Will need some small work, lol. Copy-and-paste a coin, change some parameters. Premine 80% for ICO, and make a quick white paper (I guarantee you no one will understand what's in the white paper, 95% people will not even bother to read)!

Oh btw, reserve 5% for some exchanges to help you  Grin

1000+ satoshis bought "ICO" now available at 158 satoshi? lol. Dev don't dump tooo quick please... let those stupid "investors" out, they have lost their shirts now, soon will be their pants!
