Plz help me confirm Asus 6990 I only have 7,7Mh/s with I 21 Use -g 1 not -g 4 as mentioned on shp-sgminer page.

Voted on coinano, on mintpal i dont have a account (new account cant vote).
Any other exchange ?
Poloniex might be an idea. ill PM him. Update: Just PM'd busoni I sent him a mail today (but it's sunday), to bring his attention on Groestl. But the more we are... without flooding. Groestlcoin has much more BTC volume per day than many of the coins listed on poloniex, i don't understand why we are not already on it.

-g 1 -w 256 -I 20 gpu @ 875MHz

4xR9 280x + 1xHD7950 It was fun to test, but i think i will back to Groestlcoin for the gpu too

Just a reminder : Groestl algo looooves HD5xxx cards. It's a matter of architecture i guess.
For example :
HD5870 : 6.5MHs HD5970 : 13MHs.. R9 280x : 7.5Mhs
Those cards can be easily found used for a low price. If you plan to set up a rig for Groestl, it can be the best solution.

If you plan to mine Groestl algo, a 750W power supply is enough for 4 x R9 280X You can push easily the R9 280X to 7.7/8MHs (1200MHz, 1.2v, still cold)
I don't know the USD prices, but if i convert from EU prices to USD :
4 x R9 280x + 750W corsair Gold + CM (msi z77 g45) + intel g2020 + 4Go =~1600$
~30/32MHs

Asic is not a real problem. every algo, including scrypt-N or scrypt-jane are not asic proof.
If there is enough money to earn with a coin (i mean, million dollars), you will see asic development.
For now, yes, Groestl is more asic resistant than other algo (for example keccak or X11) because of it's market cap.
I don't think we have to base our com on asic resistant or not. All coins claim that, and none are really asic proof/resistant.
The true differences this coin on other : power efficience, gpu and cpu firendly. It's already a big thing, summer is coming (and very near, it's a hot day here today, and i'm glad that my gpu only reach 55/60°C being overclocked for half the power of scrypt)
I also hope the dev / dev team will find other arguments to promote the coin. Darkcoin has anonymity, some has other additions.. How hype is a coin is important to. Someone propose a vid with "groestl" pronunciation, it's a very good idea (but i don't know any german/austrian near me..)
I'm not for a re-launch, but not against a fork for adding thing or reducing the reward reduction (i'm fine with it, but many complain about it.)

You can try GroestlCoin, wich use the most power efficient algo out there (a little more than X11). Not really profitable, as all altcoin today, but you will lose less power cost and it has a future https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525926.0

We need a bounty for press article too. I can give some GRS myself for it (5K), but we will need more Article on coindesk, crypto mining blog etc.. would be a great start focused on algo, or the benefices of mining it (heat, power consumption etc) -- (or both!)
My english is not very good, so if someone wish to write it..

There is 3 pool for GroestlCoin, and after testing those 3, they work all the same, flawlessly supernova, cpu-pool, dwarfpool. Just need to split the hashrate between the three.

i mean -k groestlcoin, no accepted share for me with this argument
Just tested 2 latest builds from badman, exe inside are from 30-03 and 31-03, builds: sgminer 4.1.0-98-ga683 sgminer 4.1.0-111-g8bb946No accepted shares for groestl on https://grs.suprnova.ccBuild from 26-03 works flawlessly - sgminer 4.1.0-105-g9dc6ebtw Anyone aware what happened to https://cpu-pool.net/grs/index.php ? 6hours ago its stratum stopped working. As strange as it may sound I was getting higher hashrates on it than on grs.suprnova (at least client indicated higher hashrates) You need to get the version from dwarfpool, which work with pools. Ther is a version for solo, and a modified one for pool (with any pool, not only dwarfpool) : http://dwarfpool.com/grs

It might sound rude, but you need to educate yourself. no offense, i'm not a specialist. I'm just a miner. And by better, i meant better for our GPU, not better in term of security, function etc.. but lower temps might indicate that the miner program is not optimised and doesn't work at full power it's a paralelism "problem", due to the algo (or to the addition of multiple hashing functions)

For the 8MHs'R9 280X : GPU @ 1250MHz / 1.2v Gpu mem @ 1000
-I 24 -w 256 -g 1 --thread-concurency 8192 Some cards have better results with -I 19 or I 20 I don't think thread concurrency is usefull btw, but i always put it.
