need
1. miner in wallet
2. protection from attack 51%
3. vote in https://www.mintpal.com/voting

All coins are theoretically susceptible to that. I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking for.

Any news?BTC

Billions have been generated and distributed even though the coin is not fungible. What kind of news are you expecting to hear?
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: March 18, 2014, 11:09:15 AM
Can somebody help me with my question in one my previous posts?
High cpu usage when running the animecoin wallet. My server is getting slow because of the wallet.
Would like to know a way to fix this. Thank you.

I would recommend having another server hold the wallet and receiving RPC calls from the first server. That obviously requires having access to a second server though, so it may not be the answer that you're looking for. Other than that and possibly tweaking the code for the wallet, I can't think of anything else that might help you in your situation at the moment. I personally don't think that a Qt wallet could tax a regular server too much, but I don't have access to a server to verify my assumption.

Well I don't think the server is the problem. We are running multiple wallets on there and none is using as much CPU as the animewallet.
Animecoin wallet is running fine on my own computer though. Very strange.

I would check to see if some ports are being used multiple times and causing a bottleneck to the wallet synchronization.

1. Is this a SCAM COIN?

A. Even if it were we wouldn't say it. jking . No this is not a scam coin. We're tired of scam coins launching everyday and so we wouldn't want ours to be a scam. Plus once the risers are shipped out we will ask some of the receivers to post pics of their risers if that will help us gain your trust.

Does anyone know from which coin thread this snippet was taken from?

hope it's not scam because i invested some in the ipo...so This is iT?

Why are you still holding onto hope when the funds were clearly sent to a gambling site? Did you even read any of the previous posts? Anyway, it was clearly a scam from the very start. We are using a trust-less system, yet a lot of people will trust anyone who offers them easy money. I guess greed can render common sense absolutely nonexistent.

I do believe you just single-handedly saved Scotland.

Difficulty hasn't been this low
get in on it!

http://stashcoin.onlypool.com

ppl r loosing interest since it is not yet on exchange, simple as that

I do understand that, but i also believe taking the ride of a pump and dump coin cripples the coins future.

Pump n dump is inevitable if that was a plan from start. So beeing accepted early or a bit later makes no difference

If that was the plan from the start, it would have happened already.

You misunderstood what he/she was trying to say. He/She meant that people who were planning to dump all along will dump regardless of when the coin gets accepted into an exchange. It's irrelevant when that happens -- the dumpers will wait since they have nothing to lose. When vets say that premature acceptance of a coin into an exchange kills the coin, they don't mean that age-wise. What that means is that a coin not backed by any goods and/or services has only two reasons to be traded in the market -- to be dumped, and to be hoarded until the price is high enough to make a profit from dumping.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | cPoW | PC mining | Fast Distribution | Stability - on: March 17, 2014, 04:58:22 AM
Can somebody explain me why QRK does only know to dump? I'm loosing a lot of money (already 50% of all I had). I'd like to know what do you expect from QRK, because what I see is really sad.

Bear with us.
Vic
Was that a Joke? Bear with us. Bear Market.
Wait for the Bulls to Run!
Is that what you're saying?

Hey they are doing their best alright, i'm following it closely. The whole market is like this, best is not to pay attention to prices, but build an infrastrcuture and the rest will come.

+1 and thanks Smiley.

No it wasn't a joke - we are actively working on a large marketing campaign.

Vic

Has anyone confirmed whether or not qrk is getting pos ?  i hear it is then i hear it is not.

Switch to PoS would be great. PoS coins are getting more and more popular these days

PoS is getting popular because of the recent influx of PoS-reliant coins with a large initial distribution. Essentially, PoS is getting popular because it allows people to dump coins without losing any of their initial investment. That is good if the coin is intended to be used only to be converted into BTC or other coins. If you want a coin to become a currency capable of standing on its own, then it's counterproductive to tempt those holding it to keep hoarding or dump obscenely large amounts of it, unless it was part of the original specifications.

I've been a supporter of this movement and coin from Day 1 and have 164,000,000 of it. I've been on vacation for the past few days and I see now that there are issues with Cryptorush, where all my coins are.

Am I screwed?

You can still withdraw your Zeitcoins from Cryptorush if they were received correctly prior to the Zeitcoin wallet debacle. How do you know if they were received correctly? Well, you check your Zeitcoin balance in Cryptorush. If they're missing, then yes, you are, as you so bluntly put it, screwed.

THE ONLY TRUE NATIONAL CRYPTO-CURRENCY OF ROMANIA

So are you telling us that if the Romanian government suddenly decided to create an official cryptocurrency for whatever reason, that you would personally tell the Romanian president that he is a scheming liar and that he can take his fake cryptocurrency and shove it up his you-know-what?

Good!coin!  why ltc and not btc?I want to be able to exchange btc at  https://poloniex.com/exchange/  ! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You would only be able to sell the coin for at most 3 sats at the moment anyway -- and that's if you're lucky. The coin has a very large supply at only a few days old, so it will take a while before its BTC conversion rate stabilizes. There are other factors involved as well, but the point is that day trading with altcoins is not as simple as saying "here's my price, buy it."
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mazacoin ** FAKE Sovereign Currency ** on: March 16, 2014, 06:46:42 AM
How many of the Lakota people are actually mining these coins though? The answer to this question is the first and most obvious sign of where this coin is actually heading. A coin can't be the sovereign currency of a tribe if no one in the tribe holds even a single piece.

Carpe, is the transaction fee the same as in the latest version of Bitcoin? More? Less? Any priority threshold?

Someone put up a consecutive series of sell walls as soon as the LTC market was put up in Poloni. I can't decide whether to be happy or sad, but I'm buying some of those cheap coins either way.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Hotcoin, The real second generation crypto coin on: March 15, 2014, 01:50:27 AM
This doesn't solve the problem of botnet mining which is one of the primary reasons why some people are against Quark-algo coins. In fact, this system rewards botnets for simply being connected to the network.

and as a matter a fact I c it as a lot more serious exchange

Going off topic, I would just like to mention that most people would disagree with you. Cryptorush has experienced a lot of technical problems that could have easily been avoided. The competence of its owners have long been questioned by a great number of people in the crypto-community whereas the owners of Mintpal are, at the moment, financially credible. Mintpal's site layout is also more appealing and user-friendly. I have no strong feelings regarding either site (although I do like Mintpal much more), but I can understand why most people would prefer to get this coin accepted into Mintpal first.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE][ANN]DeleteCoin - The end is here. Say goodbye to alts as we know them 3/16 on: March 14, 2014, 12:16:15 PM
Regardless of the purity of the intent behind this coin, its approach to the problem of the increasingly growing number of crapcoins is decidedly wrong. In fact, it is very counterproductive to its own stated purpose. Let us assume that a conversion rate was already decided between this and a chosen crapcoin. If this coin is valued at a lower BTC conversion rate than that crapcoin, then not even the bagholders would agree to the trade. If this coin is valued at the same BTC conversion rate or at a rate which would not offset any losses incurred from transaction fees, then the same scenario would occur. If, however, this coin is valued at a BTC conversion rate higher than that of the crapcoin, then this coin would essentially be incentivizing people to start mining those coins again. Rather than finally killing off a crapcoin, this coin would only revive it for the purposes of being traded for this coin, i.e. dumped, which was what made them crapcoins in the first place. Since the difficulty of crapcoins decrease to CPU-mineable levels as a matter of natural progression, mining them to then dump them for this coin becomes more profitable than mining this coin directly. The cycle would just continue. As far as I see, the best way to kill off crapcoins is to ignore them and let them die on their own.

Besides, you're not really helping bagholders by bailing them out; you're just giving them a new reason to hoard future crapcoins. If you want to help bagholders, then educate them. Let them know that crypto-mining is not a way to make money out of nothing but a method of converting existing wealth into a digital (and yes, highly volatile) form. Teach people how to fish instead of giving them fish whenever they screw up.
