OP you are missing a fact about Proof of Work algorithms, with POW a coin can get better value, the more miners are mining the coin there will be higher scarcity which we called high mining difficulty, ive seen many POW coins that have no real use cases but POW keeps them alive simply because it's profitable to mine for miners, this is never the same on POS coins

Betting on a single coin to make you rich is a stupid idea, you need to have more coins in your portfolio and maybe someday just one out of your coins will take you places you've been dreaming of, you need just few promising projects in your portfolio
