I cannot edit out the [/list] at the end of my post.   No matter what I save, it adds it back.
It’s some of the tricky situations we face in terms of having to trim a quote to focus our responses on a particular point of interest.

In your case, the point been responded to came off an under listed points which in its raw quote reflects the codes to its pattern of arrangement from the parent article or OP. Notably, we always have an open code [] and a close one [/]. In this case, it appears the open code to what is been quoted wasn’t closed hence, you might just want to get both codes out to archive a much clean post and desired result. That is, getting both
    Code:
[list] and a second code that looks like this [li]

     in quote out and the
    Code:
    [/list]
out from your post. That should do it.

Taking hit is a choice. It's not a general rule; I have a wounded squad, but I'm hoping to have some of the players back after the two-week international break; otherwise, I'm going to take -20 and let the hell lose. Members of the second chance league are currently the luckiest people on Earth, second only to Trofo and his Mafia Newcastle United team.  Grin

    A good -20 to gaine 100 points .. Grin
You could say that again for the lots of you that have got your hands dipped in a different bucket. Am still trying to see the light even though it’s just few GWs ahead and -20 points is such a big deal while playing catch up. I don’t need to do that though, my squad still looks and feels good and I’ve got some chips to spin things around in the event of utmost necessity. Can’t say am not seeing the chances swiftly been blown away though, can’t stop looking at what terrible choices I made from previous GW. A four man bench that was well about 29points and on pitch players that is just 14points.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 19, 2024, 07:24:29 PM
You wouldn’t find a poor gambler risking what they don’t have or should I say, a risk gambler doesn’t have any business with risking so much. It’s a no! The rules to the game still remains, risking what you can afford to loss. When you find yourself risking more than you can afford to loss, your already breaking rules and there are consequences to this. You might get lucky a few times but, majority of times, you would be hurt.

Rich gamblers could go at the game just as they like or want because, they’ve got a well enough resources for it. A poor man, you’ve got no place there. You don’t have and in your bid to have, you don’t risk what would be difficult to recover from. You’ve got accumulator options to play around with, using low stakes. That is available, though it’s an increased risk given the fact that, you’re betting on several games but, it’s not very consequential on your stake.

If only Tottenham still had Harry Kean who usually score 25 goals and above it would have been a spectacular season for them. Tottenham have shown strength at some point but it is not enough. Their fans are definitely feeling the absence of their club legend. Yes Arsenal are showing good sign that they have improved from their last season disappointment, when they narrowly lost the league to Manchester City. But this time around they are not just battling with Manchester City alone but with another familiar team which is Liverpool. Arsenal has to show how determined they are when they play city in two weeks time.
Do you think that is the problem of Spurs? I think not.
Spurs have been indifferent since Harry Kane left. Besides, he needed to leave and having to keep such a player who’s mind isn’t with the team, who is seeking for some trophy year with a big and better team, you wouldn’t find such player being a team player no more.

Spurs have got good players to have step up and push the team toward a more goal scoring position as well. We have the likes of Maddison whom have been a very good midfield for Spurs, Son who has comfortably fit in Harry’s shoes for goal scoring, Richarlison on the other hand has been efficient with goal scoring as well. Spurs haven’t got much need to worry, they’ve been good as far as I see it. As much as when they had Harry Kane during the past two seasons before he’s departure.
305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 19, 2024, 07:07:45 PM

ATH at $73K has indeed been seen for some time and now Bitcoin has returned to below $65K which is a very good indication for those who did not dare to buy above $70K in some time. Because if someone intends to survive in the long term with Bitcoin, there should be no fear of buying at that price level because Bitcoin can still exceed that price this year.

After the halving, it is still possible for Bitcoin to experience a more significant price increase than now if its buyers can continue to increase by making more demand.
Obvious, Bitcoin is on a new trend and there have been questions on either it is a good approach to invest in Bitcoin at the time given the fact that, we are weeks to the halving and yet, we’ve seen the break and creation of an ATH. This haven’t been the case with Bitcoin through previous history of the pioneer currency but, it’s happening anyway.

For the many that was asking these questions on a good buying opportunity, here it is, a dump below $65k isn’t a bad spot to start your investment and be ready to hodl till the halving and beyond. If we have those expecting the market to dump even further, I guess you should have a reflection on how long we’ve been bearish and see the market heading towards a more sustainable bullish trend in weeks to come.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every moments of bitcoin value is appreciable for investors on: March 19, 2024, 07:02:24 PM
While some short term goal investors are feeling disappointed in the Crytop currency market since few days now after the value of bitcoin has depreciated from $72,000 to $67,000 as at today, investors who're on the DCA purchasing method are taking chances of the fallen values to accumulate more to their holdings While there had been investors buying even when the value has surpasses the previous ATH because they believe that it's just a symbol that more values would be added to the market to appreciate their assets.
The Bitcoin market isn’t by design a short term investment space. There is a reason why it isn’t regarded as a get reach quick scheme and that’s what short term investment is often about, you come in, wait for a pump and pull out then, you repeat. A few might be real successful at it but, just a handful of them whom might have gotten some level of mastery of the market and their strategy but, not without losses.

The bad news is, majority of short term investors are new and inexperienced investors who just wants to take what they can and leave for sometime but what happens eventually is that, the market reaps them of what funds they brought in and their mentality towards Bitcoin investment as well.

It becomes a change of perspective teaching moment which might be towards the positive as per, learning what the market is really about or a time to detach from Bitcoin and cryptocurrency entirely which would be on the negative.
    307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 19, 2024, 06:54:47 PM
Seems like the road to $100k is very rough indeed with how poorly the market price has been, some how it looks like we're never going to see $80k before the end of this month. Is getting to a week and we haven't seen anything positive like heading towards the $70k it was before dropping and we're expecting to see a new ATH anytime soon and that would happen when the price start going up, I think the market price might change in the next 3 days.
You call this performance of recent poor? You must have a very high ratings for what is considered a good price pump for Bitcoin or as a yardstick for just any commodity. I think Bitcoin has done so well for itself given the fact that, it has successfully broken its trend in history and brought to light a whole different trend of its own. Where its ATH is been broken even before the halving. Having a price range that revolves about the formal ATH and not quite far from the current ATH, that’s maintaining a good momentum for me.
You will understand and appreciate this once you start hodling for long and the little dumps you see now will prove valuable if your actually buying because, we are going to see a push towards creating yet another high again with its next momentum.

The first error isn’t uncommon as I have encountered it a couples of times in the past.

This I have accredited to be the issue of my network provider rather than the forum. When a message is been sent, it doesn’t mean when it’s displayed on your screen is when the message is been sent. Having your message displayed on your screen is more like a refreshing of the page rather than the actual sending of the message itself.
When you observe a loading delay or slack in network while trying to send a message, at times you don’t even see the message go through.
Most times, to avoid loosing the entire text, it’s always ideal you copy them, refresh the page to see if it actually when through, at times you resubmit and that’s when you see that error notification. Either way, you copy the text and refresh the page. Should you find your post, then you know Justice has been done else, you simply click on reply, paste and post your message yet again.

As for the second, I haven’t experienced that before!
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: March 18, 2024, 11:54:20 PM

It's self discipline, without it we will never be successful in what whatever we are doing, especially that involves cash in this manner. We have set a strategy to follow, that includes bankroll management, but if we lose control along the way, we will end up refiling our bankroll from time to time, and worst is if we could not control ourselves to get overly aggressive betting a huge amount of money we cannot afford to lose anymore.
Own rules, ethics, these are some of the most difficult to live by rules and principles because, you’re the sole enforced and punisher. If you don’t get to follow it, it’s no one’s concern but, a lot of persons and yourself could suffer from its violation that’s what it is like with own rules and ethics. It entails having a strong will and discipline to understand that, these does exists or were formed as a matter of necessity to save own self from possible destruction which could emerge from having a bad gambling habit or addiction problems.

No need going aggressively on your stakes and the market which you’re betting on. For all we know, the house often wins and your going aggressive on your gambling is you just pushing yourself to a luck locked situation.

As far as I am concerned gambling is a harmful activity so it is better to refrain from publicizing gambling. Not everyone likes gambling even good people are criticized in the society. Harm can be prevented if the gambler can associate himself and play for fun but no effect of gambling is observed on anyone. But there are many gamblers who can't follow their own rules when gambling leads them to worse. Avoid addiction to get financial benefits.
As far as you’re concerned, gambling is harmful and yet you promote them?
Just how do you promote a harmful sphere to the a society that you wish and hope to be stable someday?

Like you said, as far as you’re concerned.

Well, obviously the society doesn’t take to one man’s concern, a whole lot is been put into consideration but yeah, it’s not uncommon that several persons and the society have seen gambling for a vice. Based on how some addicts and irresponsible gamblers have misused the industry.

The negative aspect to gambling is a reflection of a gambler's irresponsible act while gambling. Gambling isn’t the problem but, the gambler is.

It looks like another low scoring week. I think it would be the lowest since the start of the season? Someone help me confirm. Highest I've seen so far is 28. I'm glad I didn't user my WC to onboard spurs assets only to see them get thumped hard by Fulham.

A terrible GW for sure. How I managed to free hit and get the some of the GWs best and left them right there on the bench. Every single player on my bench right now have got more points than my entire 7 on field players to have been played combined. What rubbish! I tried to avoid this, tried to hit my bench boost chip but, it seems the FPL is played by one chip per GW.
First time I got Reguilon on my team, he gets a red card just few minutes into the game. It’s just wow what am seeing and I’m just waiting on the blank GW to just pass!
Spurs couldn’t even manage a goal. I had high hopes on them but, Fulham was just so much for Spurs to try and contend.

I can understand the reason behind the prohibition of any form of gambling promotion and that is in regards to the number of audience it could accord the industry and the internet does not discriminate on age grade, have hot zero control of the persons that would be fed this information hence, this becomes an attempt to limit or put some form of control on the public whom would be receiving this information.

Still, it doesn’t make a lot of sense as these are taxed industry and not allowing any form of internet publicity is directly hampering the growth of the industry which you’re taxing.
All that tough doesn’t stop humans from gambling and indirectly, these materials will go out.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 16, 2024, 04:22:33 PM
Your experience will help you out to control your emotions. It is important that when you gamble, you still have the control to your emotion because if not, worse things will come to you as you gamble.

You'll never know how much you'll be able to bet and lose when you're not on your right mind and you're out of control of your emotion. With that, too many gamblers fall to their own emotions because it seems unreasonable for them to control it when they can't think correctly.
Emotions is as much a bad energy to trading as it is to gambling. It’s the one means to cloud your judgement and directs your thoughts towards not making a clear decision based on the available statistics but rather, take drastic steps that would include betting on high risk stake events. This is basically based on you having to chase the money, the losses you’ve made and not making any careful consideration.

One needs to be clear in mind and thoughts to be able to take clear and precise decision based on available statistics. The statistics points the way and backed by a thought you have on the game.

Its wise and practical to hide your gambling from everyone except a close friend. Very smart. Lets be kind to those in difficult situations, yet society hates gambling. Its a vice and a problem that wont go away soon.
The society we find ourselves have successfully painted gambling to be a vice, while it might be meaningful not to have all our dealings known to the public, it shouldn’t be banked on the notion that the gambling is a menace to society. Let’s not forget, this is a space of freewill and it’s even hot age restrictions but still, you’re responsible for your own gambling habits.

While we might consider it unwise to make known to public notice our gambling habits, you obviously gets exposed in the event of a big win and in events of Drake’s huge losses, those ain’t no secrete and he doesn’t care. This makes me to believe it’s a place in time where we find ourselves and even with that knowledge, I still don’t subscribe to letting your gambling habits exposed to the public.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've projected my holding after this bull run. what's yours? on: March 16, 2024, 04:03:07 PM
I've come to let you all know that I'm doing so well and believe me, I may regret why I didn't embrace this development earlier on but yet I'm not late to it because I'm doing so well with it grateful potentials right now.

Me, firstly I'll secure my capital, withdraw 90% of my interests, reserve 45% for DCA to accumulate more bitcoin during the Dip, 10% to boost my alternative source of income and will have 25% to solve my needs and then I'll have the remaining 10% to execute a water project for community services because in my area, the poor masses surfers a lot to get reach to water and in life, water seems to be life of its own and I feel a lot of pity for the poor masses that can't even afford to get water freely as common and essential as it could be,
Oh wow! You’ve already budget how to spend almost your entire investment. That seems like a plan but, something you seem to forget though, you don’t get to take just profit in your having to sell your bitcoin. Though you might be selling at a higher price than you bought, even if you ain’t selling all of your coin and just a portion of your portfolio, you ain’t taking just profit. Your hodlings is gradually diminishing and it could zero out. The best is, use as you will when the need is most necessary and know that you need to continue accumulating. Don’t take profit just because you want to and don’t go on projects just because your in a bullrun and your seeing your coin at a higher price.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Minimalism in Bitcoin would slow your accumulation process on: March 16, 2024, 03:42:11 PM
How much profit we get from our investment is directly proportional to how much Bitcoin we have in our portfolio and so if you're interested in making more profit, there is no two ways about it, you've got to figure out ways to accumulate more Bitcoin, especially when it's bearish.

The advantage is that you don't necessarily have to wait for years before meeting your goal. Those who bought in bulk when it was bearish have probably reached their goal at the current $72k while those who bought a minimal amount even years back when Bitcoin was around $20k will be in profit but wouldn't have a  profit anywhere close to someone that starched a good amount of Bitcoin at let's say $40k
You’ve just recounted what is well known. Of course you can’t hope to benefit from where you didn’t sow or hope to reap more than you’ve put in, that can’t be the case. Your investment has a direct proportionality with your hodlings and even in the event of a dump, you still get that direct proportional decrease in the valuation of your asset.

While your might have referred to $72k as the goal, I’ll say the goal is very much far from it. It’s as far as the Satoshi goes because at the moment, the least Satoshi haven’t got a dollar value. Every single Satoshi needs to have some real value on it to be able to purchase some life used community amongst others in the digital sphere.

But, goals can be set by every individual though but, there isn’t a fixed price for real hodlers.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: March 15, 2024, 10:30:17 PM
When I first came across this thread, I felt they were married but this is just too people dating and nothing more. These ain’t couples as, couples are by bonds and vows one, there wouldn’t have been any need for a split but a judicious use of the win for family plans and financing.

Money remains the one thing that could come between two people, even in the best of friendships, relationships and even marriage. Worst still, a 3 months relationship. That’s practically nothing and doesn’t mean much as it’s been proven by this issue of a win of this magnitude. Couples wouldn’t do this!
318  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 15, 2024, 09:24:32 PM
One thing that is there to understand is that, these are two things that can’t do without themselves in a persons life on your journey to be and even as a successful person. You need to practice both never equally.
First, savings is the first step to any form of investment. Investment requires a definite capital and to be able to have a well enough capital that could prove enough for certain investment, you must first of all save for the activity.

Now savings doesn’t guarantee wealth, it gives you a vague sense of wealth and could be lost by a single misfortune. You could relate certain misfortune to investments as well but, while one might be from bad decision making which could be evaded, the case for savings is usually accidental and you don’t really get to predict that.

Savings diminishes but, investment doesn’t. It grows with time and could as well enrich your savings! That’s what makes it preferable.
    319  Economy / Economics / Re: Reckless financial decision ? on: March 15, 2024, 08:20:17 PM
Do you think a celebrity who turns down a multi-million dollar deal solely because the organization doesn't allow him smoking weed is a reckless financial decision?
I saw this highlight pop up sometime on the web with a musician haven’t abandoned to deal on a show for not allowing him to smoke weed.
Well, what’s there to understand is, this individual isn’t someone that is going through a tough time and will have far more opportunity to increase his wealth in less than a month. All it takes is to plan another show, a tour or release a song and keep getting money through the various monetized media his got.

It might seem like a pretty bad choice but, for someone to be able to let loose such a huge deal for an outlaw on smoking, you should be talking about an addiction problem and what this drug aid this one individual in archiving on the stage. When this isn’t the case, then you might not get to enjoy the show.

To me it’s a person’s specific decision and he made his. For me, am drug free and with that, it seems it’s not a very good decision. He’s lost a small opportunity to impact lives, gain more fan base and have others benefit on his team.
    320  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 15, 2024, 07:51:50 PM
A person who gambles after losing and will continue to gamble hard to recover his loss is called a gambling addict. Because those who use gambling only for fun will never care about their losses and will not run to recover their losses. there are many who use gambling for income and when they lose they panic to recover as well as profit and continue gambling. and many people suffer from it
I don’t very much agree with your definition of who is a gambling addict. Addiction to me speaks more of an individual who finds it overwhelmingly difficult to back out on an activity. Not like you’re being pressured by anyone or anything but, you just find it difficult to go without engaging in such activity. That person to me is an addict.

When a gambler gambles hard either as a means to recovery or not, that doesn’t make up for addiction. It only means you’ve got a bad gambling habit and that in itself could lead to addiction problems.

Chasing your losses is one of the easiest ways to loss as a gambler, you instantly let your emotions cloud your judgement which leads to wrong predictions and in turn, losses.
