301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing does not have to wait long on: October 21, 2019, 11:23:03 PM
Long-term investment is very possible for us to be able to get big profits, but also accompanied by a risk of large losses as well as the decline in the price of altcoin that we invest, it is not wrong to apply long-term methods investment  if we have great patience, but sometimes short-term investment is more profitable and the risk is not too large in my opinion, we can rotate money quickly when we have gained a little profit, and this we can continue to do continuously.

The right question for me most times is, how long is really long. And how long should an investor wait for an investment to mature and yield returns. But then I remembered that every person has different risk tolerance level and duration is at discretion of the person. Some people waited 5 years for bitcoin, but some couldn't wait 6 months for it. The most important thing is, invest within your comfort scope
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What makes you still join the bounty campaigns? on: October 21, 2019, 11:08:07 PM
We have seen many projects from the good bounty managers which get into scam immediately if we fail in one project we might get benefit from other projects. So it is always good to research about the company even though we joined with the good bounty manager, it is our duty to protect ourselves from the scam people.
The best bounty manager is not a guarantee that the managed bounty is legitimate, i remember in 2017 there were many best bounty managers but they lost their reputation as the best manager because they promoted scam projects

That is true but it's one of the check boxes I mark before choosing a bounty because I believe these reputable bounty managers do extra due diligence before picking a project. Also, allocation is important, if its not worth my stress, then I am. Not participating
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO exchanges not required KYC on: October 21, 2019, 11:02:18 PM
I don't think it would be possible to participate in an IEO without doing the KYC because if they do it that way, many criminals would abuse it and money laundering is still an issue, all these things are why exchanges insist on the KYC and also to meet regulations.

I strongly doubt that too. Most of these exchanges operate withing countries with anti money laundering laws and by extention applies to all financial institutions withing the confines of the country including cryptocurrency exchanges. So, KYC is a basic requirement for all IEOs. Its best to buy from otc or at exchanges after sales if one can't give out his or personal data
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid mistake newbies still do till date on: October 21, 2019, 10:52:00 PM
Quit underestimating wallets and figure out how your wallets works either its ETH erc20 based wallets or multi walllets, you lose your private keys or recovery seeds you lose your coins and tokens,I was in a gathering on message when somebody posted his private key guaranteeing he didn't get an airdrop tokens,I wonder what may have transpired as of now,its like some still don't have the foggiest idea how genuine there wallets recovery seeds and private keys are, quit playing with wallet private keys and take them more serious like you doing with your bank account.

I didn't quite make such mistake because I took time to understudy the cryptocurrency space plus I had guidance too. I took time to understand hot, colds wallets, types of chains and their uniqueness, including ICOs too. So I have not really falling short in that category. Perhaps, this mistakes will be attributed to current newbies who's larger percentage are after the quick profits from crypto
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Create and Trade own crypto on: October 21, 2019, 09:57:52 PM
Yes, indeed creating your own blockchain-based business is a very interesting idea. And also create your own perspective coin that will be in demand on the market. To do this, you need to study a lot of information. And you also need to understand this and know a lot of different innovative technologies. And I would advise if you have the opportunity to get acquainted with Vitaly Buterin, he could help in the start-up business.

Irrespective of the fact that he's free as bird and what he chooses to do with his time, either to create tokens or not is his exclusive right but please if his token has no industry solutions to offer to existing problems, I suggest he rather reads up world history with his time
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Cryptocurrencies Predicted to Dominate the Market in 2020 on: October 20, 2019, 10:04:41 PM
I always say that cryptocurrency is unpredictable and that anything can happen. Things can work for good or may turn the other way round. Nevertheless, there are still great coins out there that are worthy to invest in especially in 2020 which is just two to three months away. I believe BTC, ETH,XRP and ripple will dominate the market next year.

I believe you made a mistake. Ripple and XRP are one and the same. The only Cryptocurrencies that have stood the test of time are those big cap ones and those with sustainable business models and plans. Like you, I wouldn't place big bets on smaller cap coins especially those bringing very little value on the table. My list includes everything in yours plus BNB and XLM (stellar Lumens). 2019 didn't play out as most of us hoped. Nevertheless, 2020 promises to be even better. Let's be on the watch out. More solid projects/startups will span out soon.

One solid cryptocurrency project that seems underrated is the Stellar lumens. The foundation has done alot of developmental work to improve this space as well as on board new cryptocurrency users through its adoption drive. BNB is also a worthy contender for the best projects in 2020. Its contemporary utilities makes it very indispensable and a strong competitor
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have a $ 500 fund you want to make a profit on: October 20, 2019, 09:35:08 PM
I have $ 500 or more, is that enough to invest or trade daily ??  Do I need to buy cheap coins or expensive coins?  I want your opinion for me as a newbie.

You are a newbie and don't seem to have enough requisite knowledge to trade so it's best you invest. But that would be after you have spent time understanding the working scheme of this space. Especially how to protect your investment from hackers, the do's and don'ts. The red flags to look of for before investment is also important. I suggest you invest in bitcoin or Ethereum if you are not in it for quick bucks
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Scandal at its peak. on: October 14, 2019, 11:37:24 PM
While searching, I bumped on this article https://medium.com/vid-foundation/the-great-hack-e8a2795d9da0 written by and posted on @Vid-foundation on medium. At first, I skipped but I couldn't skip on ignoring the word "hack". So, I head on to watch #TheGreatHack on @Netflix. There I drew my conclusion on the fact that social media are just sort of privacy-mongers.

To understand better, please take a watch following the link I posted above. The attention of the VID itself -being a video-centric media restraining itself from having users' information in custody is a topic for another day. But for now, I'm taking two days off filtering all of my personal infos on traditional social media. I'm disheartened.

The great hack was a great read. It exposed how the confidence and trust embedded on social media giants like Facebook is betrayed because of Man's insatiable greed. There's a wise saying that there's not enough money in the world to satisfy a greedy man but theres enough to satisfy a contented man. I was really disappointed with Zuckerberg and his cohorts and I hope he becomes more responsible in the future with all the power bestowed on him
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hope ahead for crypto currencies on: October 14, 2019, 11:31:08 PM
I am sure that over time, good cryptocurrencies will be able to restore their successful positions. Of course, temporary drops and problems in the market are possible. But personally, I am convinced that BTC is becoming a real technology of the future, and will be able to provide important advantages for modern digital society.

Yuan, yen dollars and all these money have Cryptocurrency as the future and its inevitable. PayPal and mastercard will not be enough to handle the demands of the 5G Internet and Subsequent technologies coming afterwards due to its technical restrictions and scope, It is expensive, zero obscurity and lack of global exposure and influence unlike the Bitcoin.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Harmony. +800% after IEO on: October 14, 2019, 11:14:28 PM
The price of harmony pump so high due to Binance ticket system. So, the tokens is not easy to get and the one who will get it just for the one who has many tickets and luck.
So, that's why binance IEO will likely always increase the price of the token right after the IEO over

But people are losing interest with binance launchpad because it's always launch a new one every month. So the one who didn't got the tokens during current ieo will just wait for another ieo instead of buying the current ieo tokens with higher price

I don't think it's just about Binance but other exchanges using IEO as a method for fund raising too. It seems the IEO magic is beginning to wash off. But not withstanding, Harmony, One is the 2nd best performing coin from Binance Launchpad at the moment only behind Elrond and its has developed quite well. I understand that a listing on Huobi might be in the offing for ONE soon
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Must Know Before Investing in IEO on: October 14, 2019, 11:09:43 PM
Investors who already have a lot of experience in cryptocurrency will certainly consider the three points you mentioned, exchanges, project teams, and whitepapers are very important, and those three things are always checked by everyone who wants to make an investment.

Yes they are the part of the basic thing to check before investment but then the token economics is largely important too because if a project satisfies all your conditions but with loose economics that gives room to Earl investors dump, airdrop and bounty hunters dump or even team dump, then you are really in deep mess. Also do not forget to read the smart contract as published on Github too.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes developers keeps making on: October 14, 2019, 10:52:05 PM
Honestly I browsed project for over 2 hours now and all I have found were dead projects , dead volume , non-name exchanges but guess what ? Team still asking for patience when they already took 99% from the investors money and I'm wonder , how they could have this attitude ?

They ask for patience when they have 10$ volume in 24 hours and when you ask about development they even ban you ( discord ) or simply they tell you to wait for the CORE Dev to answer which never comes. 2 Projects attract my attention more than others :

Rupaya ( which I think they pulled an exit-scam recently as 1 exchange deleted them and 2 have blocked their wallets as no one fix their wallets leaving the holders with worthless coins with not a chance to sell them anymore even at 99% loss )

Galactrum ( who left the project into the community hands because they no longer want to develop the project because they have NO FUNDS, yet they took so much money when the project was founded ~3 mil $ turned into dust in 1 year ). Both of the projects should be investigated in my opinion alongside with the hundreds of another ones ....

Be careful in what are you investing guys ...be very very careful. Wink

Unfortunately, this is the sorry state of the cryptocurrency space. Most of these developers are just in it to money grab. As a matter of fact, I advice friends to rather invest in old coins than new ones because good reputation can never be underemphasizd. Investing in new coins are very high risk choices that I may need 3 days of judicious and painstaking research before venturing into one
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I talk about market problems? on: October 14, 2019, 08:51:03 PM
I just want to know, about market issues.
1. Reasons that make you survive or still believe in this market?
Because I believe that the market will be better again after a year or two.
2. Is this what is called a market cycle, I mean back to the time before bitcoin reached the highest price in 2017? or maybe like 2014, 2015 or 2016? because I'm not there yet.
Yes, after the halving there's an interesting chance that bitcoin might go up just as the past tells.
3. Why has the recent rise in bitcoin prices not affected the market situation for the better or had an impact on the rise in altcoin prices?
There is this Bitcoin dominance and from that, most of the alts were just following bitcoin. There are times that they come along with bitcoin's price rise but most of the time they don't. We will know once we'll able to see again all time high's and see if altcoins will do the same.
4. In your opinion how to overcome the market situation so that it can be stable again?
Invest in coins you know and focus on being a long term investor.

Well replied. I am in it because of the prospects of the Blockchain technology and the digital assets built on it. Having followed the evolution of money from trade by barter to cowries, gold and paper cash, it has always been dependent on what people place value on and the fact that we are now in the era of high def tech make blockchain more and more appealing for me
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I'm now accumulating 15 altcoins, what do you think? on: October 13, 2019, 10:46:25 PM
If you choose 15 alts, it is better to choose them from the top 100 markets, because if you look for coins that are in the middle of the market, you can get to the scam

Obviously, these are top 100 coins. They have less diffusivity and profit retention qualities. In my opinion, 15 coins might be considerd much but then if half of what he has picked give good returns, then he's fine. I wish him all the best of luck and may the turbulent cryptocurrency tide be gentle on his portfolio
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if ETH hold above 168, downtrend will be over. on: October 13, 2019, 10:42:39 PM
Market has been going sideway over the past few days
Btc is back up to $8,400 which seems a little bit positive

We are yet to see if the market will goes back up or down
Ethereum is kinda undervalue if we were to look back at 2017 where Ethereum peaked at almost $1,500
In order for Ethereum to go a strong bull run, a break off to $200 and above $380 would confirm the bull trend

Ethereum peaking at $1,500 was at the time we had crazy bull run in cryptocurrency probably because of the massive inflow of new enthusiasts from the centralized world. Do you think we are going to witness such bull again? Alot of analysts believe that the little bull run bitcoin witnessed in the last few months was as a result of positive Libra news, now that most investors like PayPal are disembarking from the ship because of sanctions, will btc remain sideways or head up
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why price down after listing in exchanges on: October 13, 2019, 10:15:17 PM
The main thing is certainly due to the huge bonus when the sale resulted in a decrease in the price of the new Altcoin listing and should be during the initial listing period when having a bounty dev campaign must hold the bounty to be shared gradually or other solutions so that this also does not trigger the decline deeper prices

Seems the effects of these bonuses to seed investors, private sale, pre-sale and ICO/IEO investors largely go unnoticed. Assuming the team didn't dump and no airdop or bounty distribution was done after listing, it's either bonus holders have dumped or the who community are dumping due to FUD
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Harmony. +800% after IEO on: October 13, 2019, 10:11:51 PM
now that you can swap the ONE token into an erc20, i hope that there will finally be an uptrend for a few weeks and that several exchanges will become aware of this project

I hope there will be an uptrend. I am still a believer and I am still holding some one. I think Harmony has been the best performing project that has gone through the Binance launch pad. Not even wink and co comes close in terms of developmental stride and price. Huobi will also likely get One listed which is a good thing for holders.

319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Line messenger to invest in crypto on: October 05, 2019, 11:44:33 PM
Nice to see more established companies joining the crypto investors community.

From the news in the OP, my reaction was that the move was better than creating their own coin or token...and then I saw this news too. If they are going to launch an exchange, what are the chances that they will issue their native token? It's what new exchanges do nowadays.

This is good news. I guess Line is reacting to the field day its competitor Kakao is having in Blockchain and cryptocurrency by making a venture into crypto as well. With over 600m app downloads on Android and IOS, we could as well be on boarding over 1percent of that number into crypto. Adoption is certain Wink
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn free altcoin ?? on: October 05, 2019, 11:35:12 PM
To earn free altcoins, joined airdrops, bounties and give away. Some altcoins that going to be listed on one exchange, they have some promotion, don't miss it.  When I was a newbie, I signed different faucet, but it's not that worth it.

Seems like virtually everyone started with faucets to earn free coins. But faucets are total waste of time. If you want free coins, you will have to work for it. The good thing is you dont have to do much than put your social media accounts(twitter, facebook, Instagram) to use by retweeting/sharing or making posts about the projects. Also you can make videos and articles which qualifies you for the free coins at the end of the campaign
