304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - Anonymous Currency Based on Ring Signatures on: May 20, 2014, 09:09:53 AM
Ive been mining on extremepool.org using their cryptonote-easy-miner. The program generated a new address and started mining.

In the folder it created:
wallet
wallet.address.txt
wallet.keys

also in the binaries folder there is a log with the pub/priv key it created.

I tried to just load up monero with those files in the monero folder but I dont konw the password to that wallet. X and nothing are not the password. lol

I would like to either load up this wallet in monero or import the private key. Can anyone help?

Anyone?

No idea, but shoudln't you have chosen the pass when you created the wallet?

It created it automatically. The miner program creates a new address to mine to. I just assumed that I could copy over the files it created into the monero folder and it would work but I had to rename them and then I couldn't guess the password when monero tried to load the wallet.

I started a web site called Tommyslist not to long ago. It is like Craigslist but for cannabis only. It is Colorado only right now but I plan to change that and add in the appropriate mmj states soon.

I currently have USD and BTC listed as usable currencies, I could add PotCoin if you can give me a proper ascii symbol to use. Wink

308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QCN] QuazarCoin | Privacy&Data protection | CPU only | Optimized miner on: May 08, 2014, 06:51:05 PM
I'm getting 21hr on 7 out of 8 cores of my 8150. Thats nuts... I was only getting 12hr with the newest monero optimized miner.

I'm mining on a linux vm btw. I just compiled from the git. I'm looking at the git of quazarcoin and monero and for the life of me I can't find out what you optimized to get me this very nice hash rate.  Grin

Does anyone have a list of the RPC calls? I might be able to just make a real quick gui using pygame.
