301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys stop investing! Use your brain, please on: January 08, 2020, 05:36:35 PM
People should understand that before you invest into anything or any cryptocurrency, that particular crypto coin  should have a real product or technology backing it with real value in the financial ecosystem.  Investing in crypto coin with products or technology that solve a particular problem in the world, such coins have real value in the financial ecosystem and crypto market. You should rather invest in crypto coins with real product or technology.
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Iran attack on US in Iraq, BTC price on: January 08, 2020, 05:02:36 PM
Enough of this attack bullshit. Why are people so interested in this nonsense about Iran attacking US.  Whether there will be a pump or dump, no one is interested in knowing what will happen to bitcoin if Iran attacks US.  You should be concern about the lifes that will be lost when this attack happens.
303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth analyzing Bitcoin price chart? Well... Bitcoin will increase on: January 08, 2020, 04:42:04 PM

Yeah. As i said in the subject, is it really worth it?

I mean is it really worth learning how to read its chart?

Well, it all depends on the purpose why you want to learn how to read bitcoin price chart. If you just joined the bitcoin just to invest, then its very necessary to understand Bitcoin's price chart. It helps tell you the pattern in the rate at which the price of bitcoin changes and the possible next market value of bitcoin.  As an investor or a daily trader, the price chart helps you minimise your risk potential and maximise your profit margins.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the Bitcoin in my wallet lesser than before? Hacked? on: January 08, 2020, 04:30:13 PM
I purchased 0.01770000 BTC through Coinhako on Aug 22, 2017.

Right now my wallet balance is showing 0.00670000 BTC.

I have never sold any of my Bitcoin. Why is it less than before? Did it get hacked?

First and foremost, are you really sure you  purchased such amount of bitcoin?  Because if your wallet was hacked, you will not have any bitcoin in your wallet.  Its either you didn't really check the amount of bitcoin you purchased  or you are spent the lose amount you claim and assume is stolen... Because the bitcoin can't just reduce or vanish in your wallet..
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason behind creating Bitcoin. on: January 07, 2020, 03:57:32 PM
In 2008, there was a huge economic catastrophe in the world. Some banks conspired and deliberately caused this economic disaster. This is why many people were financially disadvantaged and lost their trust in the bank. I think Satoshi made bitcoin to save people from this disaster. That is, Satoshi has created a currency where there is no third party. There will be no central bank. No one can control it. Customer to customer transactions can be done. While Bitcoin has no controller, no one will be able to intentionally disrupt its finances. Bitcoin introduced a new horizon to the world's economy and freed people from this economic catastrophe.

So I think this is why Bitcoin was created. Is that the only reason? Or are there more reasons? What is your opinion?

Personally, I don't think this was the main reason why Satoshi Nakamoto developed Bitcoin and blockchain technology.  I think Satoshi Nakamoto main focus was creating something that will introduce financial freedom to anybody in this world. The idea of financial freedom was one of the main reasons why Satoshi Nakamoto created blockchain technology and Bitcoin.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How difficult is it to change total bitcoin's 21 million suppply? on: January 07, 2020, 03:44:42 PM

What kind of process have to go through? Who make the final votes? I guess the change is similar to implementing BIP.

I heard many posts here said "Economic Majority" vote decides. Does this mean who hold the most bitcoins decide? Maybe not. I guess BIP is determined by Bitcoin Core developers, so the total bitcoin supply (21 million) is also determined by Bitcoin Core developers.

Also, the argument against the "Economic Majority" is it is often the case we can't find holder for the addresses with a lot of bitcoins. How can we contact them for vote?

Thank you indeed!

Considering the nature of the entire cryptocurrency network and the blockchain platform, its quite easy to change the total supply of bitcoin but doing that will go beyond the intended purpose for the creation of bitcoin and the principle of scarcity.  Also, the value of bitcoin might be down graded when the total supply of bitcoin is changed.
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that we touched $8,000, what's next? on: January 07, 2020, 03:03:21 PM
Bitcoin is having a small run, we just touched at $8000 as per Binance record, its 24 hours high is $8000.

https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT

What do you guys think that will happen next? is this the bull run we are long waiting?

The usual things/routine, people making predictions of the next bull run and creating threads like this. This is not the first time the market value of price hit $8k and its not gonna be the last time there will be an increase in its value. You as an investor or a daily trader just need to know and understand the patterns at which the market value of bitcoin changes.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the price in iran of bitcoin is manipulated on: January 07, 2020, 02:51:46 AM
when the general of iran killed General Kasim, panic and chaos happens in iran
then the price of oil and bitcoin rises, i think there are people who is just capitalizing
on the situation like what happen before on other countries where in everythings price
skyrocket, since the government of iran is against bitcoin, and having caught mining
will result to something as a penalty, i dont think the people there will do such a risk
just to be rich, there are people i think that is just maybe not in the country or black
market trying to fuel this just to take advantage of the situation
Here is the link, saying it all that will show that bitcoin is being control in iran
by i think, group of organization trying to take advantage feel free to read
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-selling-for-24-000-per-btc-in-iran-as-us-tensions-escalate

Personally considering the entire nature of the bitcoin ecosystem, I don't really see any relation between the killing of the Iranian general to the sudden increase in the market value of Bitcoin. In the later part of 2019, the rise in the price of Bitcoin was associated to the China government embracing blockchain technology and its usefulness and now this. Why don't people get it that these news are just FUDs.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Think Craig Wright is Satoshi and Why That Matters on: January 07, 2020, 02:40:42 AM

There is nothing in this article that really says Craig Wright is Satoshi. The idea that Craig Wright is a computer security expert does not really proves that he is Satoshi. This article do not tell us anything people in the crypto space hasn't heard or seen before. Its just a waste of time reading it.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 06, 2020, 05:02:36 PM
The rate of desperation in the cryptocurrency industry is really hitting the roof.

I decided to take this medium to enlighten users to protect themselves and their assets against a new scam in town.

A guy by name "Allen Stanley" messaged me on telegram.
He said he wants us to make money together.
I told him to go on, he said he works with Betxloot.com,a crypto betting site.

He said he could make anyone he likes to win the bet, that he can proof it if I want, but I had to create an account on the above site and bet with at least $70.

He said he would have done it himself, but the team already knew him and his wallet address, so he wanted to make another person win and share in the winning 50/50.

I told him I didn't have such money, so he insulted me, after which I told him to bring the $70 for the betting, then he will take 60% if he makes me win.

He told me to give him my username on the site, which I did, immediately he sent $70 to my dashboard.
He told me to place a bet, which I did, when the bet which lasts about 2mins was up, he made me a winner.

I won $4998, he dropped his btc address and told me to withdraw and then send his 50%, to me it was too good to be true.

So I attempted to withdraw to my btc wallet, and a message popped up, it read "because it's a new account, your assets are frozen, you will have to deposit about $100 - $170 to unfreeze your account.

When I showed him a screenshot, he pretended as though it was random, he started persuading me to deposit $100 to unfreeze the account,so I could withdraw the huge sum I had won.

I believe by now you too have come to understand that it is a scam site, Allen Stanley is working to get people deposit $100 to get a winning that is not real.

Even other members of the platform were chatting of a game that doesn't exist, making it seem like a normal activity, which we already know they are all part of this scam group.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.

A lot of people in this crypto space are just looking for ignorant individuals to scam them. Once they realize that you don't really have enough knowledge and understanding on how the entire crypto space operates, they take advantage of you to scam you off the little bitcoin you have in your wallet.  And greediness of people make them vulnerable to such scams...
311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin pumping because of Tesla boy? on: January 06, 2020, 04:49:10 PM
Tesla founder Elon Musk famously supports Bitcoin via Twitter. But these days, the renaissance man is making news for other reasons.

Shares of Musk’s electric automaker, Tesla, spiked after the company beat sales forecasts for Q4. The robust prediction of 360,000 cars delivered was surpassed by 7,000 units. Such explosive growth appears to prove that Musk has weathered the worst of the storm.

Click here to read the full news

Could this be the reason Bitcoin keeps pumping?

Of course, Elon Musk a.k.a. Tesla Boy is supporting Bitcoin at all costs on one of his tweets. Now he has other reasons why, and I think it’s a good thing as well that would really contribute to Bitcoin’s recent pump.

However, I would not really count on that because the scammers are lurking and waiting for the right time for Bitcoin to go even higher before making a massive dump. It’s just my own thoughts though, as I’m preferring those who are scammed by PlusToken or any other scams (which these scammers are still holding to some BTCs while waiting for bull run to commence).

Personally, I don't think I will agree with you on this. The entire bitcoin market is very known for a sudden increase in the market value of bitcoin with no particular reasons backing this increase.  People always find reasons to back an increase in the price of bitcoin just to create FUDs in the crypto ecosystem.  There might be a specific reason for this rise but i don't really think the above post is the reason.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not being sold for $24,000 in Iran on: January 06, 2020, 04:28:09 PM
I don't understand why people choose to share false information about bitcoin rather than things that might encourage mass adoption of bitcoin.  There are so many FUDs in the bitcoin ecosystem and this is not helping the bitcoin ecosystem grow as expected.  People are just taking advantage of the incidence which just happened in Iran to spread unnecessary FUDs.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 06, 2020, 04:21:59 PM
What we need to understand is that, everybody is entitled in changing his/her opinion or mind about anything if he/she feels like base on their own personal reasons.  Personally, I'm not surprised that John McAfee made that post. People like him are always interested in new technologies. He does not value the bitcoin blockchain again since there are new blockchain with better features.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if a bitcoin trading is worth trusting? on: January 05, 2020, 12:52:21 PM
Hello all,

I am new to this whole bitcoin thing and know very little about it.

A few days ago I got added to a Telegram group which is run by a bitcoin & binary trader.

I am being proposed 100% ROI, with the trader claiming 95%+ success rate.

If I invest $500, I will get back $5000 within 5 days.

So, my question is - how do I know if this is legit or not before investing?

Their fees would be 15%.

Thanks

This is a complete scam, please be very careful. There is no business or investment portfolio that will give you this huge profit within 5 days after investing.  What you need to understand is that, cryptocurrency or bitcoin does not make you rich within few days.  This is a total scam, don't invest in it.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying Bitcoin in Iran? on: January 05, 2020, 12:47:15 PM
Will this be the primary function of Bitcoin as we creep towards World War 3?

What's up with this Iran issue and people relating it towards world war III? The entire world is matured for world war to happen again. You people should stop making unnecessary posts regarding the idea that this Iran issue might  cause world war III.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Affection of World War III to Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2020, 12:41:21 PM
When world war III kicks off, nobody will have the time to think of cryptocurrencies or bitcoin. People will be running for their lives rather than thinking about the current price of bitcoin. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be very useless during that period and there will not be a good internet services for bitcoin transactions if someone thinks of making a transaction.  It will be better we pray that world war III doesn't happen.
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin will move up if there is a war with Iran on: January 05, 2020, 12:32:53 PM
Seeing the world economic conditions, will bitcoin move to all time high if there is a War with Iran ?
Oil and gold prices are already up within last few days. Will Bitcoin will be next?

First and foremost,  why should you have this mind as a human being living in this world? Why will you think of war happening in Iran? Rational human beings will never think of war happening again. You are just concern ab9ut what will happen to the price of bitcoin rather than what will happen to human lifes when there is a war.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Bitcoin adoption on: January 04, 2020, 05:22:26 PM
In order for Bitcoin to achieve mass adoption, there should be a system that binds fiats to bitcoin. With this, people will understand the true purpose of bitcoin and how is can easily provide financial freedom. Having a system and a platform that binds bitcoin to fiat will easily explain to ignorant people what bitcoin is and also help them understand it...
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 04, 2020, 03:20:13 PM
I've seen that it's possible to interact with the Bitcoin blockchain using mesh network antennas, satellites and even radio waves. This is great, because it further decentralizes Bitcoin as we know it. But I'm wondering if it's possible to send/receive Bitcoin over Bluetooth? Considering that most devices of today are powered by Bluetooth, it's much easier for anyone to interact with Bitcoin this way than using satellites, and other means mentioned previously.

Do you think something like this is possible these days? If so, how can I do this with my mobile device? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley

Please can you further explain to me how this can be made possible. This is not helping me understand why you think it might be possible to send bitcoin over Bluetooth. Further explanations might help people like me appreciate what you are trying to put across.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fail if Satoshi is found? on: January 04, 2020, 03:16:07 PM
The truth is that no one can really tell if bitcoin will fall when the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is known or discovered. Because its a 50/50 something.  Bitcoin could either achieve mass adoption or could actual fall when the entire world discover the identity of the brains behind the whole blockchain technology and Bitcoin. But the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto will never be discovered...
