301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 06, 2024, 01:58:44 PM
Isn't it too demanding ? Either you need to set price reminders and take appropriate action on buying the dips or need to set buy orders at lesser price in centralized exchanges and when you say you will be away and CEX can shutdown by the time you will be back does it mean you will be away for decades or years? Instead of hassle I would suggest you doing DCA as that's more safer and hassle-free.
302  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is investing in exchange tokens profitable? on: April 05, 2024, 11:59:21 PM
The outcome of exchange tokens are purely dependent on how the exchange has been performing as it will be trending high if the exchange is famous and have more liquidity like Binance but at the sametime there is a larger risk involved as the coin can fail if the exchange is not performing upto the mark, centralized exchanges with good trading volume have higher chances of being profitable but low liquidity exchanges and DEX won't worth it.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the best coin in 2024? on: April 05, 2024, 11:29:53 PM
So far Bitcoin has been profitable and asusual more reliable than any other Altcoins hence I will continue with Bitcoin with majority of my portfolio and to be honest there are quiet a few Altcoins with good potential but I have seen coins getting pumped and dumped hence didn't pick any other Altcoins accept Solana but in a while I will try shortlist some more new project with promising roadmap and team.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: April 05, 2024, 11:14:57 PM
I wouldn't be investing into this project mate, because any project which has given good profits cannot be hidden for long time and that's too it's play to earn token which I wouldn't prefer because I would rather prefer Altcoins with good use cases and those who are into the technology oriented because these gaming and all are just so short term but an Altcoin with yech or service related background will stay on top for a longer period of time.
305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes a post to be quality? on: April 05, 2024, 10:55:46 PM
If you don't know good English, you can't explain your expression in the in the right way. So besides creating good content, you must practice learning English. For a quality post, you have to write something that would be useful to others and not be considered spam at all. For that, you should know good English if you are going to write it on an English board. A post would be quality if you didn't know English but wrote on your local board in your native language as well. Criteria for a quality post should be in a useful manner.

This is something which not many things about but that's the but b cause more than what we says how we say matters. But just by writing in paragraphs of same repeated stuff with a very good command over English, it's a mix of both it's a good content which will help others and even if not great English but just basic English would do.
306  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DNA and paternity fraud on: April 05, 2024, 10:38:42 PM
You have repeated same statement in first two pointers and third pointers doesn't occur frequently or its rare. I think we cannot stop this and the only way is to eliminate the root cause and we should avoid getting into this dangerous multiple partner stuffs and even if they donot should be with protection. I am not sure how people will accept this but I would say if people stick to one partner like they do in most of the South Asian countries we wouldn't see these sort of issues and feeling of betrayal.
307  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: April 05, 2024, 10:23:32 PM
What else should we expect when we have the required money, we then have to enjoy it and live a luxury life, base on my understanding, everyone would have love to live a luxury life but time and chance couldn't allow because not all of us have the same birth place and destiny, the only opportunity there for any person interest to rewrite his own story through handworks could definitely achieve such, but not every is determined or ready to give it all it required as sacrifice, but every life deserves a luxury living even though not all will emerge in such.

I beg to differ, as luxury or luxurious lifestyle is something which is not preferred by everyone and may be majority would like to live and even justify it as it's their hard earned and there is no harm in it but the problem arises only when people live that luxurious life by cheating and stealing money from other people like politicians do.

I have seen people and even if I can afford such lifestyle I would still prefer a simple life at countryside.
308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC dip again? on: April 05, 2024, 10:16:50 PM
I believe that these drops are fine and won't matter that much, we are probably going to see them do a lot better with time. This doesn't mean that we are going to make a ton of money, but the way we are looking at it, we should probably see it do differently eventually.

Just because it had a small drop, doesn't mean that it will keep being terrible, I bet that we are going to do a lot better with time, we just need to do a bit better for a while, and need to be patient about the price as well. I know that it is going to take some time to get there, but when we finally start the bull run I bet you that we are going to end up with a greater return. I hope that we could see something that could finally change and the price will skyrocket.
Dips are actually normal for bitcoin, but if you wish to see bitcoin getting $50k price or lower than that before you decide to invest, I guess you are not trying to maximize your profits in the future. Don’t wait for bitcoin price to drop that low as we are still not sure if it will bound to happen soon, but one thing is certain, if you invest at the current price and continue it with DCA and hold them for quite long years, you will earn massive profits in the future bull run, but probably not this year’s bull run.

It depends from person to person as everyone have their own strategy and I am completely fine if someone is waiting for Bitcoin price to drop to $50k as even I was waiting for Bitcoin's price to drop to that zone until recently. But yeah DCA has been one of the best thing I have tried because I am doing DCA for a while and even when the price of Bitcoin crossed $40k it was like a huge achievement and even then I was doing DCA and continuing till now so I would say DCA is always a winning strategy but initial investment is something which has to be planned. I would rather wait and invest when Bitcoin drops during bear market than investing now if it's a huge amount.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 05, 2024, 06:30:53 PM
We cannot blame the fraudsters as they are inhumane and lacks the humanity else they won't be cheating and robbing innocent and foolish people. I think we need to be very cautious but still there are chances users can be fooled at least expected platforms I see everyday people are getting scammed through the fake e-commerce sites and all. This has to be stopped which is possible with only harsh punishment for the preparators else they will keep on figuring out new way to fool us. We need strong cybersecurity and anti scan system in place the scammers should be traced and punished.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 1k in altcoins on: April 05, 2024, 06:01:04 PM
I have one advice to you by looking at your post. Forget about investing as of now and first learn bit more about Altcoins and then shortlist the Altcoins then you may decide how can you diversify your portfolio because it's not as easy when it comes to Altcoins because it may not regain its ATH once it's dumped unlike Bitcoin hence without knowledge don't invest a penny.

Shortlist the coins and the choose top 5 and share those coins details you will get suggestions and combine it with your own research.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Meme" coins are ruining everything on: April 04, 2024, 09:32:39 PM
What's your opinion on this? Do you think the "meme" coins craze will move the industry away from being a utilitarian one to a speculative one? Will the hype last forever? Do you think crypto will do fine with "meme" coins in the way?
Sometimes, to be honest, I think so too. It is quite difficult to accept the various onslaught of meme coins, which are often not worth it and do not meet the market's convincing criteria. But unfortunately, that's precisely what often appears. And in fact, this time, many parties are actually deliberately looking for meme coins to optimize the profits they can get. Here, we understand that what we want is related to profits, whatever it is. So, as long as we can optimize it, just continue using meme coins, no matter how we like them, they are sometimes quite worth it. But if we really don't like them, then just avoid them. There's no need to think about it because there will definitely still be lots of developers who will create more coin memes in the future.

Yes that's the problem because even the people they are moving away from features and utilities which a project provides and just blindly going for memecoins with the expectations that's it would provide better ROI than other coins but people shouldn't be focussing on few projects which were successful they need to look at the number of memecoins which has failed then they would realise the chances of getting profit from memecoins are very thin. Unfortunately money and greed has taken over.
312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Make Money Trading, Even When You Are Wrong on: April 04, 2024, 06:40:27 PM
Without getting much into the trading strategies you mentioned which was shared by so called influencer I want you to discard all the techniques which they blabber as they do anything and everything for views, if they can win using any of those signals or strategies they won't be wasting time making videos. I have wasted enough time by following indicators and signals shared over YouTube they shamelessly share the indicators which repaints as well. Go back to basics and avoid these influencers.
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: are you expecting Bitcoin to hit $400,000 after the bull run. on: April 04, 2024, 06:04:31 PM
$400k is something which is possible in the future but I doubt if it may happen in 2025 as I feel you are exaggerating it but yeah Bitcoin can possibly pull it if it repeats the kind of bull run we had in 2017, I feel Bitcoin may cross $150k mark or even go to $200k at the peak of bullrun but $400k seems like an inflated figure as of now. Yes this is the period which can be utilised for buying for sure.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone here ever visited El Salvador and tried paying with bitcoin there? on: April 04, 2024, 05:15:40 PM
No mate, haven't been there but even I am curious to know how does things work there and I am curious to know how does they cope up wo transaction fees associated with it or they use it only for higher transactions. There are some stores which accepts Bitcoin as shared in this thread but using Bitcoin in a nation where it's legalised would be a different experience all together.

Anyone from El Salvador please share your experience
315  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Market yourself and become visible on: April 03, 2024, 09:53:15 PM
You have spoken the truth but we need to develop certain skill set if we want to prosper in that particular domain, only then we can market ourself as without skill if we market ourself we will lose business once and for all because any business runs on recurring relationship and transaction hence in order to have that we need skill and it doesn't has to be particularly about the crypto it can be anything and as simple as cooking.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin expansion, now set to hold a live conference.. on: April 03, 2024, 07:55:38 PM
Memecoins cannot prosper unless they work on providing more utilities and also we expect some unique features which has not been termed by other project but unfortunately most of the memecoins are so short sighted they just create it as a joke and win investment not based on their features but rather in assumption that there would be some huge profits for investors they sell by using the growth story of other memecoins like pepe. I don't think memecoins alone cannot sustain without some real development.
317  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No matter what don't let your life be controlled by three things on: April 03, 2024, 07:14:29 PM
Unfortunately, most of us are controlled by these very three things you have mentioned and it requires a strong person who has either experienced life by being controlled by these three things will be able to life without being controlled by these wherein others are living their life like an unchain slaves and that's the reality.
318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anxiety in trading (heart disease) on: April 03, 2024, 07:01:59 PM
Traders who are afraid of experiencing losses are traders who do not fully understand how trading works, all traders must have experienced losses either because they were inexperienced or made the wrong decision or also because the market moved in the opposite direction very quickly.
Dummy trading helps to minimize these losses before real time trading begins. Most people dont use it at all or are not patient enough to do it.

In trading one will always face some losses. But speaking of spot trading these are only conversions of one coin to another and hence you always have some asset to sell in the market. In futures and margin you will completely lose money if you dont know what you are doing with it.

Hence spot is always safer than the rest. But the risk takers will prefer the other modes.

I would rather never prefer futures trading because no matter if you have trade winning day for a well consecutively but one bad day and all your profits will be gone as futures is not for everyone it creates more losers than winners. As you mentioned if people practice trading with demo account it would help them understand the trading dynamics rather than directly jumping into itand losing money be it spot or futures.
319  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 03, 2024, 06:44:04 PM
I have mixed opinion this time as halving will occur this month and we have already seen some price fluctuations thought not a huge but still this is enough to create panic for new ones. I am bullish on Bitcoin up until end of the year 2025 but at the moment I feel market may go down and recover it won't be a flat upward trend rather fluctuating one but moving towards upwards.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Neo-liberalism and the crisis of Capitalism on: April 03, 2024, 06:08:08 PM
The emergence of industrial capitalism which commenced in Europe in the second half of the eighteenth century heralded two social phenomena such as; pervasive commodification ( all productions geared for sale), and monetization (the centrality and  the use of money for transactions). Sequel to this development, the entire human society became polarized into two social classes; the owners of production and labour. The latter became decomposed into different social classes such as; the middle class, working class, lower class, under class and lastly at best, though more often than not is never recond, the peasantry.
Thus, production is organized within these social complexities which is characterized with antagonisms arising from inequality, poverty, unemployment, inflation and hunger. These are the causes of the miseries in the human society in recent times.
The Great Depression in Europe in 1929 is as the results of these macroeconomic indices as stated above. Classical liberalism was not able to address the crisis, so there was a shift for the adoption of the neo- liberal paradigms such as; fiscal policy and monetary policy. These were operationalized to help manipulate aggregate demands as to minimize unemployment and inflation in Europe. It was achieved through Budgetary framework which shows the ratio of recurrent expenditures and capital expenditures and the directives of expenditures are specified accordingly.
Ever since the European countries, the United States of America and other advance countries are helped by this neoliberal permutations.
On the basis of these ideological persuasions, what really is happening to the African continent and other underdeveloped continents. Why are they not been able to liberate their continents from the contemporary crisis of global capitalism.
I would want the users of this forum to comment and contribute to this great debate. Thanks.

If you look at those undeveloped continent like Africa and most part of Asia, the suffering and poverty that existed within is not mainly cause by capitalism, socialism or any other form of government being practice by the state, The major cause of suffering in those part of the world is mostly cause by the high level of incompetence by our leaders.

I am a proud African, so I am saying this not as an outsider, I know what's going on within, most natural disasters most countries around the world are complaining about mostly don't happen here, our own disaster is not natural, it's man made, it's only few of our leaders that have the intention of even doing anything tangible for it citizens, they mostly care about their families and how to enrich their selfs through embezzlement of public funds.

so I don't think it's because of capitalism or any other systems that are making the rich to get richer, and the poor to get poorer, it's because of the bad leadership in the state.

Banged on the point. This is the perfect explanation of why underdeveloped nations remains underdeveloped and poor it's not because of capitalism as we need to think who allowed capitalism? Who is being benefited by it? It's all due to incompetent leaders as they should be held responsible and people should vote for development and you will notice more of ethnic or religion based violence in these nations which is orchestrated by leaders to retain power.
