Yup. I couldn't have said it better. They took over from a bad situation and have pretty much run the remaining reputation of Mintpal straight into the ground LOL. Their only hope is the zero trading fees enticing people to use it. Yeah, its a shame. I honestly don't understand how they could cock things up this bad. I'm sorry guys. I was naive (evian backwards  ) and I saw dollar signs. I thought I could sell and then buy back more with the extra BTC. Don't fall victim like I did. If I may ask, how old are you and if you are above 18(don't say your age), what country do you live in? That 1500 XC is all of your savings. Im in my mid 30's. I used to make a lot of money - but with an injury and a drastic employment change a few years ago, i ate away my savings - All of it. Jobs were with temp agencies. So i would work for 3 to 4 months then be without a jobs for 3 to 6 months. I now have a steady job (just about 2 years at it). I've been putting every extra dollar I had after each paycheck into buying XC. I do have a 401k, but i've only been putting a small amount into it every paycheck for the last 11 months (that's when i became eligible). I can't touch the 401k without huge penalties. Remember, not everyone is always financially stable. When I made a lot more money in my mid to 20's to early 30's, i used to never give to charities and looked down at those people - asking them why are you begging. I never understood them. Now that I've live their lives, i try to give people that are even less fortunate than me something. Just to be clear, I'm not asking for a hand out. I want people to stay clear of this individual and not be scammed like me. I was greedy, thought I could make a few extra dollars to get some toys for my kids but I was burned. I'm basically at zero and will start buying XC again when i get paid this friday. What is the 401k? I never heard of that. Mintpal's new layout looks like somebody puked and that came out.
I preferred the old layout Me too. I don't like all the dollar signs in green circles at the top. Old layout and theme was cleaner. You can tell this is all being handled by a new team. Yup. Thanks, I thought so. And then they will all be nodes right? But XChat on its own, will not be a node I presume? So XChat will, in a way, be a form of advertising XC as a payment platform to get more nodes = more decentralised? |

I think the mobile wallet should have XChat included, but I also think you should be able to download XChat separate from the wallet so that people who don't want the wallet can still be anonymous on the Internet.
Why not keep the wallet section anyway. people dont have to use it, but one day it might come in handy for them and they might go and buy some XC.  Some people might not want it for some reason and I think XC should respect that. But that is just my opinion. I agree completely. Having a random wallet in a chat app will also be confusing. But an empty tab or info page with text along the lines of "make payments as privately as you chat: get Xpay/whatever" would mmake a lot of sense. Then, once the payments app is installed, ideally it would seamlessly integrate into a tab on the XChat app. Now you put it like that, I completely agree. Also the same with any other future apps that will come out I presume? They could all be extentions of an integrated app. This would be amazing. |

So is XChat going to be a separate app from the wallet? Or do you mean like a seperate tab? I'd be well happy with orange/black xchat anyway  I think it is a separate tab in the same app. The icon on the bottom of the screen pic furthest to the right looks like a chat icon. Yes, it's all one app at the moment. But differentiating is likely as we approach the official public launch. Maybe it would be good to make it a messenger app with payment option. So the messenger functions would be the main thing. Not saying that the wallet part should have less functuonallity. Just an idea +1. Chat is where it's at for user adoption. Will the chat app have emoticons and all the other toys the kids like? + 2. Surely we want to keep the payments option in the chat app. This is where we are going to stand out. Also I'd agree its gotta have emoticons, ability to send pics etc etc and be up to scratch with the top chat apps people use currently. |

My bet is that it'll be best to use different colours for different apps. Maybe orange for XChat, green for payments... P.S. That wallpaper was made by a community member, who used Thrash's logo. is it possible to call the payments section XPay within the app? as corresponding to XChat. its easier to say in a actual payment situation. the green could be a little brighter if thats possible branding wise. and the background 1-2% more grey than white but i would have to see it on an actual phone. I can't wait to have this on my phone . thats what i have been waiting for for weeks. That's something I've been thinking about a bit, given that XC's brand has the drawback of coming across as a bit boring and 50-something-ish. XC's brand has the benefit of being professional, serious, and not being associated with the darkweb. But a little more energy, a little more of an upbeat tone, etc. might help. Same goes for the press releases and marketing for XChat. It should be more upbeat than core tech-related releases. I'm guilty of the old man jokes.  . You are absolutly right . energy is the perfects word. perhaps a brighter "lifelyer" green plus introducing an additional second complimenting color for some little accentuations. like a nice yellow works well with green. don't know . just suggestions. anyway the layout and overall approach is an absolute hit. Ha ha. Perhaps rather than "guilt", the term "credit" should be used. Nothing better than constructive criticism. :-) If we end up releasing several separate apps into mobile marketplaces, it would make sense to differentiate them brand-wise, since each app would appeal to a different user base and would have a distinct function. So, while they'd all need to share similarities in layout and font choice, different icons and different colours are obvious ways to differentiate them. would it be difficult to have a theme option in settings and have a few different colour schemes available? I don't like the font to be honest, it is too small.
I mean the letters are too slim.
Ultra-thin fonts are the trend these days. They're seen as elegant. Previously they weren't employed because lower screen resolutions make then look pixelated. The advent of retina screens and HD smartphones have changed all that, fortunately. :-) Yes, for example I'm testing the UI on a G3. However, I personally like the thin fonts but I'm happy to change the font itself and caps. It looks much better in this pic. I like. Good work. Yes it does but I did just notice that the arrows look weird; a small bug in the old images which this one happens to be.
