Yobit did not participate in the swap therefore all coins on yobit are not part of Geo Coin network anymore. There were multiple announcements not to buy Geo coins on yobit and to transfer out your yobit funds before 25th of January. I agree, unfortunately it sounds like you have missed the swap opportunity and your GeoCoin remain on the original POW blockchain which is now considered developer abandoned. You would have had to withdraw your GEO balances to a GEO desktop wallet prior to the January 25th snapshot date in order to possess the private keys for your wallet address to prove ownership of said coins. This opportunity has now been missed unfortunately. |

If you follow the patterns of GEO uptrend and downtrend, it could go even further down and then go up very fast and then down again.
I dont know if is worth the risk. It could loose more than 50% before breakout.
i think price will just keep falling until some good news for geo  seems we may be waiting a long time to find out what devs plan next We are still working through the swap and hoping the Cryptopia market will resume trading shortly. Next phase is replacing the wallet backend for the new MapBox interface and testing and debugging the functionality of the wallet with the Ubiq Network. Once those items are sorted we will be pushing for the release of the MapBox interface and start our Proof of Location drops! |

Geo already swapped and is now Ubiq's token (ex. uses ubiqs fusion wallet as a method of storage). Most of swap is complete, at least on Geo developer's side, wallet adaption and bittrex exchange, but cryptopia is still lagging to resume trading so some people are locked out of their Geo Tokens and some people who could not register on bittrex cannot purchase new tokens on cryptopia. Also some websites like coinmarketcap need to correct all the information. Question - I have old_geo coins sitting on cryptopia they show up as a deposit but not in my balances and they ere mined before the cutoff block are they going to convert them for me or do I need to do something? thanks Cryptopia still seems to be working through the swap process. I would wait until the swap process is complete and your GEO balance should function again as normal. |

imo - yes, 25k satoshi new target. why is not up to date. death?  Maybe ask owner of the website why they did not update the it? I think they are probably getting round to updating soon, just quite busy. I will reach out to them again and clarify the listing, I believe they added the Bittrex market so not sure why the price is not up-to-date. I'll report back here shortly |

I have been able to withdraw funds and send deposits to the Bittrex wallet from Fusion, what sort of problem are you having? I fail to send Geocoin from the Fusion wallet to the Bittrex. Maybe I do not do anything right with Fusion wallet. Now I will describe step by step what I do. 1. I press Main account (etherbase) 2. I press Sent (I have GEOcoin , i do not have UBIQ) 3. Then I in the menu "Send funds" 4. I fill "Send Funds" - Amount: .... GEO ; To: My Bittrex deposit adress 5. I push Send and nothing! You will need a small UBQ balance to pay the transaction fees, try moving in 2 UBQ to your Main Account (etherbase) address and try the send once again. Yes, I do not have UBIQ in my balance. I didn't think i would need Ubiq, because i will send GEOCOIN, no Ubiq! I now to make the transaction with GEOCOIN, I have to buy 2 Ubiq! Have I understood correctly? That is correct, if you look at the bottom of the Send page when you fill it in there is a small transaction fee charged in UBQ that needs to be included. Having a balance of 2 UBQ will allow you to do many many transfers. So yes you do need to have a small amount of UBQ in your wallet in order to use their network as it goes to paying transaction fees to their miner base. |

dev, what will be pos-geo mechanism? how person can get new coins? let's assume that person has geo coins in his wallet, then he downloads your geo app and then once in 1 day, 1 week or 1 month depending on number of coins in his wallet your system scatter on a map new coins according to gps coordinates of his phone? or how it will be implemented?
We will be placing the coins onto the map initially and developing an automated system moving forward. The coins will be dropped randomly around the world, no personal GEO balances will have any affect on this process. do you think that side of the project could be finished this year?  or is it a when it is ready kind of mission? Our main focus is getting through this swap and getting the exchanges back up and running. After that we will be focusing on replacing the wallet backend to handle the new GEO tokens and getting the MapBox interface tested and debugged for use with the Ubiq Network. The POW phase for GeoCoin also concluded at this snapshot block, so anything mined afterwards will be on the original blockchain which is now considered developer abandoned. |
