301  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] [ACCPTING OFFERS] Casascius 2012 1-BTC Brass, Loaded - Austin TX on: March 10, 2024, 01:13:02 PM
I offer you 1.13 BTC as it is ungraded.. only for the loaded coin and including escrow with minerjones.. I'll pay the shipping cost

You can sell the peeled coins as a set or separately

my offer ☝️ still stands - 1.13 BTC for the loaded coin

Seems like the seller doesn't want to sell anymore or he just wants to know the value of the coin

That is a fair btc offer. Still a decent premium....  will only shrink as we go to the moon!!!

311  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2011 Casascius Error Coin on: March 08, 2024, 08:16:38 PM
Yes...

1) Sell/auction coin here. Doesn't need to be graded. You get BTC.

2) Send coin to Stacks, they get it graded for you. Auction it off for you. You get $$$

While it might sell for a bit more on Stacks, remember the fees and tax implications

How do I get an offer here? S&B is offering to sell for a 20% commision above the 1.25 to 1.5, meaning a 1.5 to 1.8 sale price. Then my tax on top. 1.4 to 1.5 seems like a good range for people here to get a deal in exchange for me not getting it graded.

You won't get 1.4 to 1.5 here on the forum.... and as the dollar price of bitcoin increases, you will get less premium
Same goes with Stacks. If the price shoots up before/during the auction, your premium "btc" value will be less.

314  Economy / Collectibles / Re: on the economist 1988 magazine, what is the circle in the center of the coin? on: March 08, 2024, 02:15:30 PM
The coin does read "Ten Phoenix", so maybe the circle with the line through it is just the symbol for Phoenix coin? Huh
315  Economy / Collectibles / Re: AVAST! Bitcoin PennyŽ Spanish Treasures Collection now be here! on: March 07, 2024, 10:30:32 PM

Once again, let me try and steer this back to the Bitcoin Penny situation and how concerned we should all be.  What amount of loaded coins has he sold?  What's the total amount of potential liability here if he decides to use customer funds like an ATM again in the future?

To my knowledge, the only keyed and loaded item he made were the manhole covers and the similar sized wooden discs

Manhole Covers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2361029
10 made, each loaded with 0.01BTC, Total of 0.10BTC
Not sure if all 10 ever sold

Wooden Discs: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1818749
5 made, each loaded with 0.01BTC, Total of 0.05BTC
I know he kept one for himself and I know that one has been peeled, leaving a potential 0.03BTC

Total bitcoin possibly at risk: 0.13BTC

317  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Question of Casascius Value (this perticular coin) on: March 07, 2024, 06:58:57 PM
Can you clarify what kind of defect it is?
Is it some kind of dirt/debris or more of a ding/scratch in the coin itself?

And is there a milk spot on the larger B ?

I would highly recommend you remove it from that soft plastic pouch and placed into a proper capsule or at least a harder-plastic flip that would be used for grading

Both circled in red:

318  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Unfunded ANACS MS69 Jungle Green Copper Cryptolator 0.1 BTC on: March 07, 2024, 03:08:38 AM
Jungle green ANACS.. very rare. Should add to the historical value of this coin as these slabs were only used for about 6 months in the transition from the traditional yellow ANACS slabs to the white/light green slabs that were the last of the ANACS slabs
Able to assist for any reshipping or escrow Cheesy

Well, I figured I ought to get a couple of pics before my planned trip. So, I ran down to the vault and got them. If y'all don't think there is much of a chance of getting more than 1.25 BTC for them, I don't think I should sell. That isn't much of a premium and maybe the auction houses will change their minds. Stacks Bowers has sold a few, by the looks of it, but all of theirs are in nice little packages. Any ideas of how to get that done?

Thanks for all the input on this post, guys.

Happy to help out with any grading, escrow, or logistics need.
Feel free to PM about this.
