I think Bangladesh worked hard to win ODI matches against Sri Lanka. Rishad Hossain played really well in third match and helped Bangladesh to win the match. I am excited to see how they do in upcoming Test series. I think they have a good chance of winning especially since they are playing at home. Both teams played well but Bangladesh did a great job and should be proud. So let's wait for test series and I hope Bangladesh will so well again in Test Series.  I agree that Bangladesh put much of effort to win the ODI matches against Sri Lanka and Rishad Hossain performance was definitely a standout. It will be interesting to see how they perform in upcoming Test series especially since they will be playing at home. I think they have a good chance of winning but it will ultimately come down to how well they execute their game plan. The only negative that I could notice for Bangladesh was their poor opening partnerships. Litton Kumer Das and Soumya Sarkar failed to score adequate amount of runs, and that put a lot of pressure on the middle and lower order. But in the third match, they were replaced with Tanzid Hasan and Anamul Haque. Although Anamul got out for just 12 runs, Tanzid Hasan top-scored with 84 runs. And as usual, the lower order made significant contributions, with Rishad Hossain hitting an unbelievable 48 from just 18 balls.
Yes you are right it is important for Bangladesh to improve their opening partnerships. Starting strong at beginning of a match is really important for rest of team. In the third match they replaced Litton Kumer Das and Soumya Sarkar with Tanzid Hasan and Anamul Haque which was good decision. Tanzid Hasan did really well by the way. But they need to keep working on building partnerships and making sure top order batsmen start well in future matches. Lower order players like Rishad Hossain can help out but they should not have to save team all time. Fixing opening partnership issue will help Bangladesh do better in future matches. |

Although the Afghanistan team was not very good in the beginning and their performance was a disappointment. But they showed a great performance in the third T20 match and it was enough for them to win the series. Although I think the most substantial improvement in the bowling line has been the fact that the Afghanistan team has easily handled Ireland and Ireland have lost. The duo bowled brilliantly as the duo managed to take a total of seven wickets which sealed the win for Afghanistan. However, Afghanistan team scored very well in today's match even though Ireland had a very tough going so far. However, despite trying hard, Ireland could not cope with Afghanistan but their game improved due to which Ireland put up a poor batting performance and lost the match.
I also think Afghanistan team did really well in third T20 match. They got better at bowling which was good to see. They played well against Ireland and won series. Two players took seven wickets which really helped Afghanistan to win. Ireland had tough time in this match. The Afghanistan team worked hard and improved much which helped them. It is nice to see Afghanistan's cricket team doing well internationally. |

Bangladesh team batting in the second innings, I would say they are not doing well in any way. Right now the Bangladesh team is under a lot of pressure and they are playing badly and their batting performance has not improved at all. Played a bit well in the beginning, their game has gone very bad at the moment, especially after the dismissal of Nazmul Hasan Shanto and Anamul Haque, the run rate has gone down a lot. Sri Lankan opening batsmen Pathum Nisanka and Charith Asalanka were the biggest obstacles to Bangladesh team's victory yesterday. Pathum Nissanka and Charit Ashalanka formed an unbreakable partnership of 183 runs. The bowling of the Bangladesh team hit the Sri Lankan fortress in the beginning and later they could not sustain their aggressive bowling. However the pitch that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are playing on is a batting friendly piece where with a bit of patience and play it is possible to score enough runs. The batsmen of the Sri Lankan team proved that even they were able to give their team victory.

Well it's a fantastic match where Quetta were quite good and expecting were quite postive from them but unfortunately they unable to fulfil our expectations and done awful performance and lose his last match of PSL 9 journey because they are officially eliminated from PSL, while their opponent Islamabad shown great strength especially at thier bowling side and thus grab thier opponent before they done any damage while chasing, to be honest Quetta has dozen of phenomenal player but most of them failed to show his magic because it wasn't a big target to chased down but they hasn't.
Anyway congratulations to Islamabad United for this victory now they has to face baber Azam team Peshawar zalmi in order to face Multan in finals, but in my view Peshawar will beat them and will end thier journey at that stage.
Yes you are right I agree that it was a disappointing performance from Quetta in their last match of PSL 9. It is always tough to see a team with so much potential not live up to expectations. Bangladesh at first actually were in trouble at the start of the match. When bowling Bangladesh gave away a lot of runs in the first 10 overs. Tanzim Sakib was able to make sure that Bangladesh found their way back into the match by taking up crucial wickets. But towards the end, he was unable to finish his spell of 10 over. I hope it is nothing serious. Another thing I do not understand is why Bangladesh is not giving chances to other players. The top order has been failing quite consistently. Maybe this is time to look for other options instead of Litton and Soumya.
I think Bangladesh top batsmen having a hard time lately. Maybe it is good idea to let some other players have a go. It is good to have good batting lineup that can be counted on. If some players are not doing well it may be time to make some changes. I am worried that Tanzim Sakib could not finish bowling his 10 overs. I hope he is okay. Peshawar zalmi has shown worst batting performance and I think early dismissal of thier oppner game changer Saim Ayub become the Turing point of Peshawar zalmi because mostly saim done huge damage especially in power play that release huge pressure from thier partner baber Azam and provide him little bit room so that he can show his magic while execute huge pressure on Thier opponent bowler. Anyway pitch were quite tricky and provide huge turn that's why most of classy batters feel trouble while facing and that's why unfortunately they unable to hit 200 mark which will be I think decent target for thier bowling. While if we have a look at opponent score board where Yasir khan give them perfect start and then later the way iftikhar chachu finish the game was phenomenal. Hope Peshawar will manage thier way to the final to face Multan again and took his revenge
Yes you are right Peshawar Zalmi didn't do well in batting during last match. When Saim Ayub got out earlier it really affected team. Saim Ayub was good in previous matches especially in beginning of match. Pitch conditions were tough which made it hard for good batters to score much runs. I really hope that players such as Akshay Wadkar are noticed by the Indian selectors. He has been performing in the domestic circuit quite consistently over the years, but never made it to the top level due to lack of powerful backers. He is a wicket-keeper batsman who has lead from the front. Also, I would say that it was a good comeback series for Karun Nair. His performance has improved and matured after he moved from Karnataka to Vidarbha. He was the leading run-scorer for Vidarbha in this season, with 690 runs at an average of 40.58.
I agree with you. It is sad when talented players like Akshay Wadkar do not get noticed because they do not have strong supporters. Selectors should give chances to players who do well in domestic matches not just the famous players. Akshay Wadkar is a good leader and plays well as a wicketkeeper batsman so selectors should think about picking him for Indian team. And you are right Karun Nair is playing really well since he moved from Karnataka to Vidarbha. He is scoring good runs in recent season which shows that his decision to change teams was good. In general selectors should be more open and fair when picking players for Indian cricket team. |
