302  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is investing in exchange tokens profitable? on: April 06, 2024, 02:00:12 AM
So basically, exchange tokens are altcoins and it's always advisable to trade with cautions when it comes to altcoins but as we Nigerians we like to take opportunity and this exchange tokens are also opportunities that comes ones in a while after looking at the history of the three exchange mentions I'm convinced that the last one will also do well in future and as such you can invest on it. Perhaps that should only be if you have enough funds to wager around because I know that but those tokens are more like taking a whole lot breakable plates in one hand, it might profit, it may not too. It's a two way stuff.

Here we can only give you advise but it doesn't mean we are correct, it's all our biased suggestions either based on experience or based on what we hear from others but I like you to take a bold step with your extra cash not what you can not afford to loss, but any extra funds that you might consider not really relevant then put them there, and give it time to see how well they will do.
303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No matter what don't let your life be controlled by three things on: April 06, 2024, 12:32:35 AM
This are some of the things that has so much influence in our life's that some point if not careful enough they will surely tend to control you but if you're good enough to control yourself then you can overcome there urges.

In most cases money has controlled the life's of some people to the extent that there carelessly take their own lives with their hands. When you become obsessed with money you can do whatever it takes to reach that money. there is one ideology in my place that says people change when there see money, it's most times that a lot of people luckily becomes millionaires when they do not expect it and hence it tends to change their psychology on how they think hence can lead to deviant behaviours.
304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Equal society is possible.... on: April 06, 2024, 12:12:21 AM
Equality is not possible any where in the world, as far as life is concerned, there is nothing equally so the society can not be equal. This fact doesn't mean justice can't prevail.

Even from the biblical account of creation,God never created everything to be equal, he made some to be big and some small, man over woman and so on. The society is built on a social strata that has a hierarchy of three, the upper class, middle class and the low class. Non cam function without the other.
A practical question that can fix the deliberation concerning equality is "If everyone becomes rich who will serve who?".just like there will be no driver nor taxi, no clear I'm any where, you cannot employ me I can not employ you.

So life is just not supposed to be equal, it's natural that one should be bigger at some point that that has made the society to last long. There most be a class of followers and leaders.
305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: April 06, 2024, 12:00:30 AM
I'm even surprised that someone here is in support of  child birth control or population control. If you're in support of population control that means your obviously not in support of freedom, all this control systems that are developed are merely means of having full control over the country.

Governments of countries like China wants to own the lives of their citizens in there hands and as such there have implemented all this new regulations on child birth.
In India the population growth is nice and I believe that it's going to have a good effect in the economy of the country no matter what people thinks about it, in less than no time India's will beging to country the world decision with there population and when that begins to happen countries with low population will begin to feel like the India's are dragging the world power.

To OP,  when there is a good resources management policy there is absolutely need to worry about the well being of the citizens because it's surely going to better with them. So thinking that the resource will not reach the people who need it is not right. From here I use to even wish my country becomes the most populated in the would and even the biggest to contain us all hence we will making influences in the world decision.
306  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gratitude should be an attitude on: April 05, 2024, 11:47:06 PM
Yes for sure being grateful is a very important quality of a person, the more you're grateful for the little things it brings up opportunities for the bigger things.

If someone can appreciate cent, when given a thousand bucks, surely they will even be more grateful but some people are just ingrates, no matter what you do for them they will probably not appreciate your efforts rather they will complain or even castigate the little you have done for them.

But for being here in the forum, you owe no one an appreciation but yourself, you should better keep the gratefulness to yourself and focus more on changing that which you feel is disliked about you. I'm also a newbie like you but over time I have come to realise that nobody hates you but it's just the fact that you have not done what exactly is expected of you and when you do that you can understand nobody here is your hater not even the legendary members, most of them are so occupied that there do not even notice you. So don't feel like your being bullied or hate here, it's a global forum and non of us here cares about you it's a personal race.
307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DNA and paternity fraud on: April 05, 2024, 11:16:03 PM
It's just obvious that it's greed and shame that are the key drivers of paternity fraud. A woman not calculating her mensural circle is not a solid reason, that is just mere speculations that it could be a cause but even if a woman does not know her child's father, DNA test is there to provide that. But the fact that most mothers do not want to be disgraced or term "pregnant out of wedlock" they do all there best to put someone else into debt for nothing.

The world has become a very wicked place and events like this are true examples of how wicked people can be in order to defraud you or even put you in a condition that isn't favourable. Some time ago I heard a woman said she forced her boyfriend to claim a child that isn't his because she felt the guy was the only one who can truly take care of she and her baby.

308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profiting from BTC: just luck? on: April 05, 2024, 10:49:56 PM
It is luck. Or just for the rich people who buyed it and just let it sit there
You're obviously new to the bitcoin space and have not learnt nothing yet but perhaps as time goes on you will learn.

If you had read through this thread from the page one to at least second page you would have found out that bitcoin investment isn't luck but it's a strategical investment that requires little skills to make it through such skills are high rate of patience.

In the first page of this thread there are images that could have just express the intention of the thread to you and you could clearly understand that bitcoin investment isn't a luck. But anyways are time goings on you will begin to learn.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA: the power of little beginning on: April 05, 2024, 10:42:03 PM
The DCA method is actually an instrument for us to do something that others think we can't do, but eventually, when it increases, it turns out to have a high value in the market.
Basically, the Dollar Cost Averaging is a way for one to practically purchase an asset that seems too big if we want to buy in a whole, it's almost the same thing as paying installmental. DCA method was coined here to fix the gap of people who practically can not afford bitcoin in a whole, or those who see it as too expensive to buy hence they buy gradually with a long term investment target in mind and at the end they finally met up with the said target of owning an asset. So you're a bit far from the truth.

DCA is also not only applicable to Bitcoin because there are also many other top cryptos on the market that can also give us big profits in the future, as long as we don't give up but instead be strong and patient.
But it's obvious that we are discussing bitcoin here, and hence the DCA method is most applicable in buying bitcoin. For other assets (altcoins) it's really not necessarily to dca into them except for a coin that has become way too expensive and non of the altcoins are too expensive, only Ethereum has a little price that seems expensive but not really. So the discussion is hanged aroun bitcoin only.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has BTC really become more attractive than gold? on: April 05, 2024, 10:27:11 PM
I would like to know your views on BTC and gold:
  • Are you investing in BTC or gold?
  • Do you think BTC has become more attractive than gold in the investment sector?
  • Have people like Peter Schiff accumulated a lot of BTC while still badmouthing BTC in the media?

1. It's very much good to know that both bitcoin and gold are nice investments and choosing one over the other is really hard because if I have the opportunity I will proudly invest in both. Let's borrow some ideas from some people who already answered this question, bitcoin is more like a digital gold and traditional gold is the physical one we can see and hold. The two are good investment but if we are to chose as coiners then it will bitcoin for sure.

2. Yes, of course bitcoin is becoming more attractive in the investment sector but this answers is biased because I haven't done any scientific research on that to go into conclusion but as from the informations gather from this forum I think bitcoin is becoming more attractive over and over again.

3. That's solely in the position of the person himself to answer that because I don't know if surely Peter Schiff have accumulated bitcoin or not but we can say yes he must have having find out that it has proven itself over the years and it's still not lost like other scam projects.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 05, 2024, 10:13:51 PM
Firstly, I don't think there is any need for the big question in bold, here. Because obviously you're not disputing the fact that not only one plays the role in scam rather the both party does.

It's very much obvious that both the scammers and the scammed plays a very big role in every scam case but the fact that this scammers are just so greed not to go work for their own money rather prefer to take from people who have worked for themselves, that's the only place I blame this scammers hence, I thing the people scammed in the crypto space especially with the Ponzi scheme scam are truly at fault for there lost coins. Greed plays a major role in this scam case most victims are very greedy to the extent of risking their money to get more with someone who you don't even know.

It's just poor to see such scenarios but it's true that both party plays a very big role in every scam, but we pray circumstances don't befall us hence we could be save in the crypto space, because for sure there is no 100% safe place in the internet.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 05, 2024, 09:51:05 PM
Sincerely, I don't think it's a good idea for your friend but it's absolutely a good idea if only your friend is into bitcoin already, bitcoin is highly volatile and it should be considered a long term investment plan not an investment that will tempered at any given moment. From my perspective, the funds which your friend told you about is a stagnant in his father's company either because it's intended to serve as reserve funds for the company incase of any unforeseen circumstances.

If invested into bitcoin and the need arises and it can not be accessed at the very important moment then you advise will turn into a bad idea because your friend will put a the blame on for such idea but if he had thought of it by himself then it wouldn't have been a problem.

I will suggest your ask your friend if he wants to go into bitcoin investment it should be with a capital he can not afford to lose just as the obvious one here but if he has his own personal funds that is in fiat that maybe his not ready to use in a long term then it can be put into bitcoin and perhaps within the 4 years circle of bitcoin he must would be in profit.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: April 05, 2024, 09:30:11 PM
Believe me this is the exact reason I stopped going to church, infact I'm not into any religion but rather a humanist, I prefer to be my brothers keeper than have this religious thinking out into my head but some few people who call themselves pastor's and men of Godean while the actual reason for being their is to make profit than worship.

It has become a real problem in the society and I believe that is where our problems as africans are coming from, we where thought this religion but we have taken it to ourselves and even divide ourselves because of the particular organisation we belong. This church thing has impacted in the society negatively, so much that the economy is even depreciating constantly because of this same thing.

Every fact about the poor governance of a country, inflation, economical hardship etc are all related to the business perspective of churches not just churches, let's make it religions in general because it's being practiced all over the place including the mosque. People get into power for the sake of their own religion, offerings and titles are forcefully taking from the people with a biblical preaching backing it up etc. I have a lot to say but if I continue it will become out of point and at the same time weird to a lot of us.

But it's good to know that the impact of religion (church as put by OP) is incredibly bad. Funds are lots as a result of sweet words share by the theocrats.
314  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor people need solution now on: April 05, 2024, 09:17:38 PM
Whatever you do in life, the main target will be entrepreneurship.

That is very true. If one wants to be financially successful, often times the main solution is to build a business.

Some people even work jobs and then their end goal is to have a business and make profit from there. The reason why I think entrepreneurship is so attractive to a lot of people is because you are your own boss. All your profit is yours to keep and any creative decisions shall be made by you. I also want to establish myself as a successful entrepreneur someday.
You're absolutely right, financial freedom does not always come from working under someone or company it always about being creative enough to do something that either has never existed or is already in existence but it's being branded in your own new initiatives.

Being your own boss is a major reason for a lot of people and greed of having all the wealth or profit to ones self is also another driver of business idea. But at some point, even being a boss has disadvantages that are over looked. Making decisions are only going to be subjective based on ones biases but when it's in a cooperate affair it tends to be the ideas of every one.

The world every day creates opportunities for people, but it only takes an entrepreneur to grab this opportunities, they say entrepreneurs are opportunist and I agree with that, one must be an opportunist to make profit from every daily scenario. For me it's a real deal to be an entrepreneur.
315  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt Management. on: April 05, 2024, 09:04:35 PM
I totally agree with everyone that said it's better not to even go into debts than find a solution around it. It's only good to know all this that op has stated if only one is already in debt.

So if one is wanting to take a loan and/or borrow from any source then it should be a very much productive purpose, either to make an investment that can yield back the profit earlier before the expected month not even date. But mind you this exception is basic for only few investments not every investment is good to take loans, there are some investments like bitcoin investment it's absolutely not idea to borrow or take loans in order to invest or purchase bitcoin because of it volatility, profit is not guaranteed.
So the issue of loan or borrowing should even be eliminated in the minds of investors even in times of desperations.
316  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce inflation. on: April 05, 2024, 08:46:08 PM
Edited out
Just as pooya87 nail it, that cutting down ones expenses generally is the only solution not only food in particular as used by OP, but perhaps I will always  agree with the fact that whatever hardship a state and/or country faces is the result of poor governance or poor governmental policies.

A lot of countries battle this same act of intentional printing of money just to fill up the gaps in the system hence for the people not to put all blames on the government for not taking good care of the citizens, so the tend to increase the number of paper money (fiat) thereby causing more inflation indirectly.

It takes only a philosophical government (critical thinking government) to put a countries monetary policies to a favourable condition towards the citizens, a lot of money goes into unnecessary things while the real problems of the people remains unsolved, using my country as an example; some times I do notice that a new governments agenda is always geared towards building new roads (infrastructure) mean while the have other basic infrastructures that sre necessary than renewing an already existing road, hence must uses such opportunities to launder a lot of money to their own pockets.

In conclusion, since a one man decision can not change the entire system (government) then it's will best for one to look for alternatives to live a better life like, have another source of income adding to the already existing one or better make investments that can be yielding extra money to ones life in order to cope with the inflations.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: Irresponsible spenders consumes their retirement resources and losses values. on: April 05, 2024, 08:24:44 PM
Edited out
I will agree with you to some extent, especially with the last paragraph: people who waste their resources at their youthful ages end up regretting it at old age. And for one not to be among this set of people, we have to spend wisely by making a lot of investments that have long-term targets.

Now let's have a rational thinking about the scenario that you explained, about the fact that a man was saying that life is one and we must have to enjoy it. I tend to think of his action as a result of either being too broke for a long time or lack of investment knowledge, or he lacks the ability to manage wealth, but the fact that one has suffered a lot of financial instability does not guarantee him to spend recklessly, but when it comes to having fun at some point, we really need such enjoyment. There is a popular saying in my place that says, If you work, you will chop. Which means at the end of every work there is a reward, and the reward is that people spend time at parties, and for that, I have seen them go back and arrange their lives's well. But for some, they don't calculate their spending.

But at the end, it all boils down to the same thing: we all should be very careful with how we spend in order not to go broke. So for you, OP, I say you shouldn't judge yet, but try to find out if yes or no that the person in question is actually a reckless spender before drawing a drawing a conclusion.
318  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Boring Market Right Now. What You Got? on: April 05, 2024, 02:06:19 PM
I hope you comprehend what exactly charles tim have said, bitcoin can not be stacked because it's not a proof of stake project or coin, it's a proof of work coin hence whatever percentage you have see anywhere for staking bitcoin it's always a centralised exchange that offers such profit, perhaps since you do not have full custody of you coins, they could be using you coin make profit from one way or the other hence they give you a percentage out of their own profit.

It's better to hold bitcoin for a long term investment purposes because it grants you a level of confidence for profit making. Wagering from one thing to another in cost of profit making around the bull run can only lead one to lost of funds so I ask you should try and stick with your holdings.

I can also suggest you try to wager some extra funds if you have any, in the altcoins and then follow all the precautions in order not to loss the said capital.
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes a post to be quality? on: April 05, 2024, 12:57:15 AM
I think this particular discussion of quality of a post has been raised several times but yours has a different perception totally.

In the contest of post it's a subjective based decision, what I could consider quality post is not what someone elses considers quality post. Most English native merit source finds it hard to merit post that are not well constructed in English, punctuation marks etc but that doesn't mean that a good English speaker or writer is a quality poster, so if a non English native forum member wants to write according to the description of some merit source for there post to be merited then they should consider using an AI tool, like grammarly to construct their sentences in a very good English. Perhaps that a good solution but one can still write a very quality post with a lot of mistakes in English yet still receives a lot merit than expected, I can remember a legendary member of the forum who does not really arrange his write ups very we yet is very much valued here.

What I'm saying in essence is meriting is subjective (biased), it's totally the decision of a merit source to merit you. So your assumption that non English members of the forum does be long here as a result of poor English speaking then countries with English would also not here. We all are here to facilitate each others, so as a solution has been reach that non English natives should us AI tools to make good post, hence it's not longer a general problem if one isn't merited by a merit source because of poor writing.
320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In a discussion, you discuss! on: April 03, 2024, 11:56:20 PM
Your observations are very correct, I think I was a part of the people who do not communicate (discuss) in a discussion but at some point I began to discuss with some members of the forum and I saw the fun in having this conversation. So it took it upon myself to always discuss extensively in discussions. Perhaps it's about to agree and disagree in other to reach a solution hence I do not necessarily agree to some points especially when I think it's not too right hence it puts me in the edge to make research and make good arguments.

It got to a time where I couldn't discuss very well in the forum because I didn't have the notification bot but after I got it, it became much easier to communicate very well. I have also read the previous comments and I found them as good points too.

This attitude is mostly common among newbies and some few ranked users
Yeah, it's most found in us the newbies but perhaps I believe it's as a result of not having enough knowledge in the forum yet, and if observed very well, we then to change as soon as they attain a better height in the forum. So it's not bad if eventually they can change this behaviour but it's bad if it remains so even when ranked up or even they have spent a lot of years in environment yet not know the necessary thing.
