Yes. many pools can do this. The user asked if 4GB gpu's can mine Ethereum. (You can mine Ethereum classic and get Payout in ethereum)

Doesn't work on the highest clocks. If you set the gpu in P0 mode with nvidia-smi it can go abit higher. but not to 8400. Use another program to set the memclock.

As long as you don't get an exit a few minutes after the warning, you should be fine. I think the internal watchdog think the cards time out because of the long job time of the ZIL pow.
We have to adjust a bit and test ETH+ZIL more.

Good news. The next version will have mining over SSL working. We are in the final stages now..

The merge testnet had problems with 25% of the nodes. A success because more than 50% of the nodes worked, but not good enough to go live.

I think that the watchdog warning is wrong here for Zil. The restart won't affect the performance of mining.
 
In Zil mining mode a job can last for 1-2 minutes, and for ethereum a new job is normally less than 10 seconds. If a gpu times out, the miner will exit


Are your clocks too high? 1.62 does have a stratum change in the code, but 2miners is not affected. Only pools that are using the ETHproxy protocol. hiveon.com / ezil.me and a few others.

In v1.62 we have fixed some bugs that where present in the linux release only. Hopefully your rig will work 100% now. Mixed cards rigs NVIDIA/AMD high intensity.

Try to upgrade to the latest drivers. On linux you can try to add swap.
We are reducing the number of releases but still working on improvements.
Note that we have upgraded the atiadlxx.dll to a later version, so copying the exe file only into an older folder with an old atiadlxx.dll might have issues.

The device order has been flipped in the autodetect, but not in the manual selection for opencl. I think I will fix this in the next release. Thanks for reporting

To reverse the order of the AMD gpu's you can probably do:

--cl-devices [1,0]

If angry miners go together and form a malicious staking pool with 1.5% of the network, they can block all the transactions or force the network to mutate. If a government agency does something similar, it's easy to create a killswitch of the network. This could happen if it is proven that North Korea, Iran or Russia use cryptocurrency to avoid sanctions.

Ethereum blockchain 1.0 is the safest bank in the world, and ethereum 2.0 is the opposite. Especially iun the few first months after the merge.

It is likely that Ethereum Classic will become the most secure bank in the world, but only after ETH goes POS.

Moving to POS is a smart move, but not a profitable move.
