301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t like the term “crypto” on: April 29, 2024, 10:00:53 AM
There is a line between what bitcoin is and crypto, cause that includes shitcoins and scam projects, infact most time when crypto is spoken off its always refers to one alt or shitcoin.

Bitcoin is bitcoin and it is different and been under the name crypto doesn't make it one of them, at least by now everyone is seeing that they is a clear difference between crypto and bitcoin.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: April 29, 2024, 09:57:29 AM
This is crazy man, if I were to accept that deal I would also have a part of her profit for sure and I should be taking more than her or 50/50 at least. And I can't agree to give her the entire money back, at least a portion of it.

But she woudl also have to agree to hold for long term and not short term cause that way uts more guarantee to make profits, i won't engage in any short term investment theses its far risky and you don't know what yo expect from the bull run or bear market, so i rather stay off.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: April 29, 2024, 09:49:40 AM
I first heard about Bitcoin around 2016 but then I had no idea what Bitcoin was. Someone online was saying to work on it because I don't know anything about it. Then I heard about Bitcoin again in 2022 when the price of Bitcoin was 21000 dollars. I did a little research on Bitcoin and saw that it was good. From whom I heard, I said to a brother, brother, let's invest. Buy a bitcoin and keep it.Fifty percent and I invested fifty percent but that brother did not agree then. Day by day the price of Bitcoin was increasing and the price was going up and down around 25, 30, 31 thousand dollars. Still I told my brother to invest but he did not agree. That price eventually reached 74 thousand dollars. I regretted very much why I didn't take a risk. If you want to do something, you have to take a risk, nothing happens without a risk.

I hardly blame your brother here, cause your the one that believed in bitcoin and had done research about it but you didn't chose to take the risk on your own, I think that should be because you had little knowledge about the DCA method that allows you buy bitcoin in portions and at intervals, that way you can buy bitcoin buy yourself without needing any lump sum investment, and even better you wouldn't have been bothered about the best time to buy cause DCA  allows you to buy bitcoin at every market condition.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dubmest Thing Ever Invented on: April 29, 2024, 09:44:19 AM
Bitcoin is the dumbest thing ever invented.
If you think Bitcoin is dumb then why you're present on this forum? If you don't like the idea of Bitcoin and find it useless then I believe someone like you should not be part of the forum that's a place for Bitcoin community. You need some research I believe, no I think you may need some treatment so you can understand Bitcoin properly.

If bitcoin is dumb then fait is even more dumber, now let's do a comparison real quick, bitcoin has a fixed number of coins that can ever be creates and supply making it to be immune to inflation or value depreciation over time, but your local fait which I believe you so love is been printed everyday and inflates every day, is that the freedom you want, where you work Labour woths less every fucking day that the bank pri to money.

You know nothing bro if not, you wouldn't be saying this and this is just the one comparison I feel you can comprehend. Bitcoin hater🤬
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? on: April 29, 2024, 09:38:24 AM
That's a good question you asked there OP, I really believe in the long term holding and I just recently started my bitcoin accumulation thesis and I use DCA method so I'm buying at a weekly interval, I hardly have any concern with what time it is in the market cause I know that if you don't have enough bitcoin then you can't profit enough from bitcoin, so I rather stick with continuing to accumulate bitcoin than be bothered about what good fortune the halving would bring, I plan to hold for 10 years and that's what I am on.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 28, 2024, 11:34:25 AM
Chelsea again is the worse team ever and I don't know who to blame other than the coach and that big head Jackson, star the lss he cost the team against man City at FA Cup, he also missed chances against Aston villa yesterday, it was a boring and horrible match to watch. I hate seeing my team not doing well.

Liverpool has Los their chance at winning the league and that slot goes to man City and arsenal that has both been driven home from champions league to face their final battle at Premier league, can arsenal beat City at this?
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: April 28, 2024, 11:30:34 AM
At times the best response to losing is to leave and let your head cool down a bit then try again it could be that you kept losing cause your mind has gotten clouded by emotions that you ard losing and I can even further make you lose more if you start trying to recover those loses which is the pitfall of gambling.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 28, 2024, 11:21:25 AM
My gambling wins mostly go to enjoying myself or buying some new cloths and all but I've never really put that money into any better use like starting a business or doing some other great stuff, but if buying some new sets of game and cloths and having fun is considered an achievement then I guess I should be put in that category too.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lies told to cover up gambling habit on: April 28, 2024, 11:19:37 AM
Another big fucking lie is that it's a hobby or I'm doing it for fun, your doing it for fun and it's costing you a fortune then you must be a fucking out of your mind, I've heard some person saying that they take gambling as a hobby and that is the biggest fraud lie anyone told himself, do you feel bad when you lose? Yes, then how is that fun, fun is supposed to be entertaining not to make you sad about lose.
310  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 27, 2024, 09:09:55 PM
The reason why I'm not addicted to gambling is because even before I started to play gambling I already understand gambling and its addiction, and my understanding has helped me on how to follow up gambling. Sometimes I ask myself why do people get addicted to gambling, is it because they have no understanding or awareness about the addiction of gamble.

I think majority of people who are addicted to gambling is because they do not understand gambling as beginners, the rules and the side effects of playing gambling excessively.

I think if gambling companies can help to giving beginners to understand gambling and addiction it will help and reduce the rate at which people get addicted o gambling, I mean good lesson for people to get understanding.  Or do gambling companies benefit from gamblers who are addicted, which the awareness of getting addicted can affect their business?.

One major route that addiction takes to sip into anyone is through ignorance and lack of exposure, gambling can at times put on the disguise of a thrilling experience and sugar coat of make money quickly and many weak minded persons can easily fall into this trap and get loss in gambling, you can educate people on how they can gambling without going too far, teach them on how to set boundaries and rules that would act as a law on how they gamble, they should be aware of the destructive part of gambling and should approach with caution.
311  Economy / Speculation / Re: As Bitcoin Prepare for more Bull, What's your Decision on: April 27, 2024, 09:05:46 PM
It's already clear what most of our decision s would be which is to hold, bitcoin is just in it's early stage of bull and we are still expecting a lot from it, the current price of 60k is just a sign that bitcoin would surpass it's ATH by a margin and set a new ATH record of about 150k, I'm saying this this cause we are still not less than 2 months into the bull earlier this January the price was still consolidating around 35k-40k now we are seeing an awesome 60k, anyone who bought around then should already have a doubling effect on his investment, and if you ask me the only way to prepare for more up is to buy even more bitcoin.

Hey we have already exceeded the 100k pushups right before bitcoin  Grin,  i remember when we started it almost seemed impossible and would have taken  lot of time for us to reach 100k Pushups individually but cumulatively we have been able to achieve it. Whoever brought the idea of including a report and having a record has done well, kudos everyone for being active here.

I can feel my body getting lighter as I continue with my pushups, the strain I usually get at my shoulders are gone now and that's since I stopped trying to do everything in one go, reducing the workload into sets has been good and also spreading the excerise out through the day.

I was able to do 90 pushups yesterday and I was unable to report but today I was literally on fire for the first time I went above hundred and hit 120 pushup. I noticed that I didn't actually have limit I set today and was just randomly doing push-up without any actual number in mind, usually when you plan on doing a particular amount of pushup, you tend to get tired getting to that number, but when you don't you can even go further, so I tried that today and it worked out for me.

My report.

313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: April 27, 2024, 08:43:19 PM
My plan is very simple hold unitl six figures then sell half
That means you are already invested in Bitcoin or you are still buying?

What do you think will happen within six months? Are you just buying to make some quick profits and sell off?

I'm still buying because I'm using the DCA method. So long as Bitcoin is still below $100k, it is still a good buy for me in this present market cycle.

I plan to hodl for several years so I'm not panicking over the present bullish market. The bigger bull market is coming in the near future

I agree with you on this, thou is the responsibility of every investor to decide what ever he want to do with his investment, as for me I think is best having a more financial plans as regards to improving your emergency, reserve and float funds allocation which will gives you more confidence for hodling more longer with hope that Bitcoin still have a long way to go.it is best you have your personal needs sufficiently covered up.

Yes of course it is the responsibility of every investor to decide what they will do with their investments at the end of its term I guess the more reason for investment is actually for the call of emergency and  when you have a source of allocations and steady flow of profit from your investment it will call for any alarm so making investments with your bitcoin has becoming one of the decisions anyone can make just like me as a newbie i have an investment in bitcoin which is already making a huge appreciation already and i dare not to regret while i made such investment because bitcoin is what i actually do not know.much about but I took a drastic decision without looking back to make my investments in bitcoin but today I am one of that happiest people who are seeing their investments growing

It's good to feel happy and excited that your investment is growing in value(bitcoin), but you be well aware that bitcoin has cycles of both bull and bear, price increase and decrease and this cycles can change instantly or be triggerd by anything, so what you should be more excited about now is accumulating more bitcoin to your stash so that you can be well prepared for ups, and also you should focus more on building yourself in terms of cash, emergency funds, floats and reserves that you would be your backbone as an investor.

The reason why you must have an emergency fund is so you don't sell too early or earlier than you plan too to solve or fix a pressing problem and your emergency should be up to 3 months or 6 months in size arccording to your invested value in bitcoin.

Reserves can be seen as our backup funds for taking advantage of opportunities in the market like dips or front running in a kind of way.
314  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Law of gravity no de apply for di prices of goods inside Nigeria on: April 27, 2024, 08:42:23 PM
This one is so true, like they would increase price and blame it on dollar and when you check dollar has returned back to normal and things are still well expensive, the new thing that all the retailer learnt is that when you increase your price never increase it, everything now dey go ahead ahead.

Im blaming everything on fuel scarcity and increase, transportation is so espensive these days so the average retailer has no choice than to also increase their price to be able to make some gain out of it, fuel is chasing 1k per liter like say na dollar, I just week, very soon the average transportation price a day for anyone would be 2k for very short distance like from mile 3 ph to location ph.
315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something is seriously wrong with bitcoin markets. No liquidity? Should we sell? on: April 27, 2024, 08:41:22 PM
That should be good news to you, if centralized exchanges are lacking bitcoin to sell then it means the demand of bitcoin is on the rise and scarcity would only increase the price of bitcoin for us, what you should be doing is holding and be less bothered about selling, cause right now if you sell so many person's are more than available to buy back from you and when the price scyrockets you would so regret it.

Liquidity can't actually affect bitcoin at this point that it is quite high on demand, it only a sign that you should hold your bitcoin even more.
316  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt Management. on: April 27, 2024, 08:40:23 PM
@OP thinks he's Robert Kiyosaki .

I still see many users saying it's good to borrow money for business and also in other medias we will heard that too, but actually borrowing money for business is also bad. The reality is you can start your business as small as possible, start from your house and only buy the tools or materials that you need. If the business need certain amount of capitals, you can create a proposal and submit it to investors, or you can find venture capitals that willing to invest in your business.

Only a very foolish or unprofessional investor would invest in a business that has no statistics or isn't already established. I Don't advice to borrow money to start a business cause there isn't any guarantee that the business would stand and if it doesn't you have a debt on your head to pay. But it's better to borrow money to support your business or establish it bigger after the foundation has already been set by you and that way it's easy to get investors in too.

Debt is good for those that understands it and I still stand that debt is used properly can generate good wealth for you.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: Also consider your mental State of health while investing for wealths. on: April 27, 2024, 08:25:33 PM
You have a good point, most people tend to forget that investment also has its risks and that is also something to take Into considering when investing, you won't cry to anybody that bitcoin crashes or something unforseen happens to bitcoin or any other investment so it is a good thing to invest what you can tolerate to lose. The biggest mistake most people make is to get to optimistic about anything, yeah bitcoin is probably the best investment asset that we have in the world now bit that doesn't mean its immune to life and unforseen events, and this questions the viability of having all your value in one asset especially as an established investor cause nothing is guaranteed.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: April 27, 2024, 07:44:36 PM
Bitcoin wasn't designed to eradicate poverty so it can't it was created as a decentralized money that is independent from the government and does not have to depend on banks, no where in its whitepaper shows it as a money making machine.

The Big irony is can you invest in bitcoin to get profit out if it, so if you can't then no profit for. But there are ways that a poor person can stack bitcoin up using the DCA strategy confiding his income he might take up to 5 years before he can have a good stash in bitcoin.

Do any of you remember five months ago I started trading with just $100 and today I own $1130 and I respect Bitcoin a lot and it is slowly brightening my future and I have gained a lot of knowledge from Bitcoin in these five years and  With this I want to earn more money in my future and I want to say to all you all can buy bitcoin and hold it and you will have a very bright life in your future you are too bad my friend earned a lot of money in 5 months but today he lost a lot of money in 2 months  Because he got addicted to gambling and I buy and hold bitcoins and slowly trade to own $1130 today Bitcoin is really brightening my future.

We never get addicted to anything and try to do whatever we do with our talent then we will get success in no time.💪

Good for you mate, but warning don't take this win as a guarantee that it would always be that way, home your skill more and you woudl give better testimonial than this soon.

I wonder how you managed to trade and also be a bitcoin holder, normally I don't advice such cause in a situation where you lost money or you need funds to trade you might be stuck in a situation of what you should prioritie between funds to allocate to buying and holding bitcoin and trading. I believe that there is a line between trading and investment and there are opposite pairs from each other.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a medium for donations on: April 27, 2024, 06:58:11 PM
This is an interesting article altogether, nice facts put together, another thing I love about using bitcoin as a means of donation is that most persons love to keep a low profile when offering donations and bitcoin offers then that privacy and they can't be traced making it a better means for donations than fait.

And also if I were to receive bitcoin as donation, I could also chose to keep it for longer and let the value grow, although it's not very advisable if you can't or won't be ready for bear.
