I seem to have lost my 60000 pink coins help! I tried to upgrade to the new wallet after experiencing a can't load blk files msg. I then googled a fix which was to save wallet.dat and delete all other files and reload. Thats where I am now and can get the new wallet to load but no coins. I then tried loading old wallet and now no coins. I have now 4 different wallet files and for the life of me can't figure this out. Anybody able to help? At this point my guess is to send someone the file and hopefully your honest enough to send me the retrieved coins to my new wallet. Any takers?
Hmm. Yeah don't delete any wallet files until you're sure which one has the coins. Which wallet.dat file has the bigger file size? The first one...That was a good point. Every time I reloaded it created a new wallet. One is a old backup as well I think. Can I just drag this file into the new wallet files and load? |

Hello GPC Community,
It saddens me to announce my decision to withdraw my position from the GPC PM role. After much thought and reflection, I feel it would be best for the community if I transferred leadership to members of the community who can dedicate their time and talents on a level far greater then I can. I am not running away or abandoning the project. I am however relinquishing decision making to those who can contribute more than I can. I invested a majority of my BTC into purchasing this coin with the hopes and belief that I could recruit the talent myself that in turn could propel this project to new levels. I soon discovered that this was much more difficult than I ever imagined.
I want the best for GPC, I know there are those out there that can do a better job than I.
That said, lets get together and form a team comprised of the best of you who can take this coin further than I ever could.
I have shared my twitter account with francecrypto and cryptofish, if either of you are interested I can hand over full control to the account.
As well, in regards to the OP, I will keep the thread opened until I have someone reach out to me who will start a new thread and incorporate the previous content. I can assist in it's content creation if necessary.
I can also release the login information to the GITHUB account, I'd like it to be the same person/team who takes over for the BCT thread and twitter (if possible).
The past several months in this space have been crazy and volatile. I dreamed of deploying a solution to combat it, however I feel I have fallen short. I don't doubt the talent exists out there that can challenge the status-quo, however I feel I lack the talent and expertise to achieve that for you.
Like I said, I am not going to disappear. Please contact me via PM if you feel you can take the commanders seat! I will support you in any way I can.

Don't know, maybe you are right, wait for 5 suggestion, and then 2 days for voting and declare the winner.
Potentially could get to many with one or two votes each. I say make the call as it is your GPC that is up for grabs. Will the other feeds in French and Spanish have their entries posted in the English feed? 24th for the logo and then start the background one running till the end of the month. I plan to be trading multiple bitcoin by the end of the year and my wife will only let me invest another 40! Kidding aside I am simply a noob and did not want to cause my family hardship with my new hobby. During the day I deliver mail, have a wife and two awesome kids and a very hectic life. I do however want to add value to what I think could be a solid digital currency. I will try to tweet through out the evening as I check the markets and simply be a dad.
Features are awesome, I however, think all we need is demand. Features do this but for how long? What are we going to attach this coin to in the real world? What will our segment of the digital currency world be? Maybe we can combine our purchasing power to bulk purchase things at reduced rates? I think this is a very interesting idea! Gambling or something to do with team sports on the amateur level?
Anyway I have dinner to get ready and will tweet soon... Oh and have no plans to steal any funds donated as karma is a bitch.

We should pimp the price a little bit and start trading of this coin... with all good features it will be succesful just we cant all wait for price to drop to 50
I think the big problem is thy all the regular users have bought their share, set their sell orders and are waiting patiently for the price to rise. We seem to have hid a saturation point with amount of BTC we can buy with as a community. I guess what we need to do is maybe remove all our sell orders up to a target price, say 600 satoshis and build walls with any spare capital we have. This wil require enormous trust of group profits overs personal profits, will individual greed allow this? I hope so is this a good strategy? Why do they need our email address to register a wallet? This must have taken someone a whole of 15 minutes to make an android wallet for Groupcoin(aside from logo design which is beautifully simple btw). Tell me I'm wrong. I like the security aspect of it. No one can access should my phone be unlocked somehow and gets lost or stolen. Ok, I can see what you are saying. I am trying to compare it to Mycelium for bitcoin. No strings attached and you would be a fool to keep any real amounts on there, and if you did have a real amount on there, you would be prepared to jack it right out of there if you lost your phone. Yes I would only keep smaller amounts on the mobile wallet for tipping and the odd purchase if that ever becomes reality. It would be nice to have a way to retrieve funds on mobile wallet should phone get lost. Did I overlook this? |
