301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: July 02, 2017, 11:26:40 AM
For Monaco 71,392 ETH were spent to purchase 9,476,304.70896183 MCO at an average price of 132.74 MCO per ETH.  At the end of ICO the coinmarketcap.com price of ETH was $383.19, so the average ICO price for a single MCO token was 383.19 / 132.74 = $2.8867711 per MCO.  At the ICO coinmarketcap.com BTC price of $2599.25, that is 2.8867711 / 2599.25 = 0.00111 or 111K satoshi.

Since an ETH today has gone down to  272/383 = 71% of its value since the Monaco ICO, one would expect MCO to go down by the same amount.  This would put MCO at $2.88 * 0.71 = $2.04.

But in fact as I write this we see the Bittrex price for MCO at $2.16.

https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-MCO
https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=ETH-MCO

SO GIVEN THE DROP IN ETH SINCE THE MONACO ICO, MCO IS CURRENTLY TRADING ABOVE ITS "EXPECTED" PRICE.

302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX [ICO] end of June: making Blockchain assets spendable on: July 02, 2017, 04:58:40 AM
What is the total supply of your tokens?

Do not be too lazy to read the whitepaper, in this ICO, about 20,000,000 PAY was sold, which is 51% of all the PAY supply.

Wrong.  The TenX ICO raised 200,000 ETH, each of which bought 420 PAY tokens (=350 plus 20% first day bonus) that represented 51% of the total supply.  Thus there will be 200,000*420 = 84M PAY tokens at the exchanges when TenX trading starts (compared to only 9.45M Monaco MCO tokens trading NOW on Bittrex...).

When both coins exit their lockout periods, there will be 164.7M TenX PAY tokens total to 31.5M Monaco MCO tokens total.

Ownership in TenX is diluted by a factor of 164.7 / 31.5 = 5.22 compared to Monaco.  If the two cards are "equal" in the marketplace, then a single MCO token "should" be worth more than five times the price of a single PAY token.

But the two cards ARE NOT equal in the marketplace.  According to their terms of service, Monaco will issue their crypto VISA cards to 300M+ Americans;  TenX will not.

Check out Monaco MCO tokens.  They're the better bet for traders seeking a winning cryptocurrency VISA card play at the exchanges.

Clearly there were some miscommunication but not sure blaming any side regarding that will help anything.

Agree about blame.  I am only asking questions to foster communication.

Communication is very important.  This is what happens when there is no communications:

Bittrex email response:

"Unfortunately, we found an unexpected incompatibility between our deposit smart contracts and the MGO token contract. Anyone who attempted to send token to us had their transaction cancelled by the MGO contract. We do not hold these coins as they would never have been sent. We regretfully will be suspending the launch of MGO Trading.

If you have sent MGO to a waves address please be aware we do not support this transactions and will be unable to recove these coins at this time.

Thank you,

Ryan @ Bittrex "

I personally had chat with Richie from bittrex in slack and he told me this 8 days ago. Mr Richie also mentioned that MGO team can also fix the problem if they can make some changes at their end. I am not tech guy and I do not know whether the issue is major or minor. I am totally disappointed about the issue. Bittrex could not handle or they do not actually care about it

@Jack -  Straight up answers, who is waiting on who here?  Is Bittrex waiting on MGO, or is MGO waiting on Bitrex?  And most importantly of all, has Bittrex decided not to list MGO?  Please clarify what is the true situation.

What was the ico price ?

In round numbers, 0.75 USD per MGO.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: June 25, 2017, 10:05:01 AM
The tokens were distributed, right? So can the Monaco credit card be requested from when? Are American Residents Out? What about the Black Card, it will be available after how long from the traditional card?
#3 As far as I know, US residents weren't allowed to participate in Monaco token sale due to regulatory issues. — meaning US residents are out.

US residents can apply for any VISA debit card they want, including Monaco.  VISA debit cards are definitely not regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Arguably, neither are sales of crypto tokens, but that's another discussion.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: June 24, 2017, 02:32:57 PM
How do I claim my MCO tokens?

First they have to be reissued because TokenMarket's original smart contract for MCO was flawed.  You don't have to do anything for the reissue.  Once the reissued MCO tokens are in your ETH account, use Myetherwallet.com to get at them.  Be sure not to go to any other similar-sounding scam website out there!

Pardon my ignorance, this is the first ICO I paraticipate on.

I am using wallet.ethereum.org and Metamask, I already see my Monaco tokens in the contract.

My question is, when they issue the tokens, will I be assigned a MCO address to send my tokens to an exchange? Or do I use my Ethereum address (with which I bought MCO) to do so?

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to crypto.  I have described this game you have joined as "a gigantic slow motion poker game played on a rollercoaster where the value of the chips on the table swing wildly".  Have fun.

The updated MCO tokens, when issued, will show up the ETH address where you first sent ETH to Monaco.  Call this your "main wallet address".  To get these tokens to an exchange: go to the exchange, open an account, and somewhere on the exchange website click on "deposit" for Monaco tokens (not some other coin or token!).  The exchange will display a new wallet address - call this your "exchange Monaco deposit address".  Use myetherwallet (or some other wallet) to send MCO tokens from your main wallet address to your exchange Monaco deposit address.  Voila.  Happy trading.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: June 24, 2017, 09:04:29 AM
I still can't forgive myself for investing to the ICO on its first day. I should have just observed first because the cryptocurrency market was booming during the ICO period. My MGO token should be triple from its current value if i was thinking smart that time.

Learning to forgive yourself is extremely important, especially when you didn't do anything wrong.  Crypto is a gigantic slow motion poker game played on a rollercoaster where the value of the chips on the table swing wildly.  NOBODY can make "optimal" decisions in this environment.  NOBODY.  Stop beating yourself up because you are human.

i regret putting money on this ico Sad
Even before it hits exchange? Huh

When this token gets on Coinmarketcap.com it will start at a ICO market cap of 9.476M tokens * $2.88 per token = $27.3M.  A 5X  move in its first 90 days before the lockup period for dev MCO holders ends would put MCO market cap at $136M and 40th place.  These are still undervalued numbers for this project.  If you are sad about buying this token, you haven't run the numbers.  Monaco has room with its low starting capitalization to grow some serious legs - unlike others <cough> TenX <cough>.

guys,
may i know what's the specific reason/problem why MGO still not fully tradeable on Bittrex?

MGO is a ERC23 token and Bittrex has not upgraded to that standard yet, they are still using ERC20.  Their upgrade to support MGO is supposed to be up and running soon.

"Seems the names ERC23 and ERC223 are being used interchangeably with the latest repos using ERC23. The idea is to fix flaws and add some features of ERC20. It's a contract like any other and is not dependent on any Ethereum release like Metropolis that I can see."

I am new in MEW wallet. How much ETH I need to send tokens from my MEW wallet to any exchange ? Please help me. I need some eth to start transaction ? Or I heard wrong. Please help me. Also tell me if you know about any faucet or site to earn free ETH

You do need some ETH in your account to use MEW.  You should have roughly a minimum of $10 of ETH in your wallet to find transaction fees.  This would be around 0.03 ETH.  Each transaction will vary in cost but should be under $1 each, maybe under $0.1 each.

Here is a list of ETH Faucets:

https://cryptojunction.com/top-10-ethereum-faucets-2016/

You should go to an exchange and open an account and buy a small amount of ETH and maybe other tokens.  Here is a list of exchanges:

Good luck, fellow hero!

Reality check for Americans who will be using the Monaco card to buy groceries ever week: you are supposed to pay taxes on any appreciation in value seen by the underlying crypto. This appreciation in value (if any) is calculated from the crypto's original purchase to the time it is used in the eventual Monaco transaction.  If it's less valuable when you spend it than when you bought it, no tax.  If you've held it for over a year, tax is 15% capital gains on just the appreciation.  If you've held it for less than a year, the amount of the appreciation is considered ordinary income.  I am not a tax accountant like my stepdaughter is, so take what I am saying here with a "grain of salt".  But the truth is either as I describe above or something close to it.

Unfortunately, use of Monaco card will not magically mean you are free from the taxman.

So I advise to keep records of your Monaco transactions like I am going to do, and pay the correct amount of tax on its use come April 15.  That's what spreadsheets are for. Hopefully Monaco will include some kind of annual .csv download of card usage...(hint, hint).

Where is the best place to trade wmgo now ?
Trade at Liqui, they have the biggest volume.
Good day for MGO, the price has increased recently, sure it will go $5 soon, it has never traded below ICO.
5$ is the target? Or higher?

My target is HIGHER.  $5 per MGO doesn't even get it into the top 25 crypto projects on coinmarketcap.

on what date can i sell MCO >>>Huh??

HELLOOO?Huh??

Soon.  News continues to be given out primarily at the Slack channel, please join us there.

https://slack.mona.co/

Altho it hasn't been discussed in this thread (!?!) by MCO staff, there is going to be a complete reissuance by TokenMarket of the MCO token to all users under a new smart contract.   The situation is a little bit more than just a "wallet problem".

Progress continues.  Kris has agreed to run a Reddit AMA, and new members continue to join the Monaco community.  Too bad these 1000 new members are not posting in THIS thread, tho....

does anyone know if wMGO can be converted in eMGO?
Nope. Some weeks off.

Just curious - what's the current ratio of eMGO to wMGO?

http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/mobilego/#markets

the volume breakdown of the waves compared to the ETH chain should tell u everything u need to know

Thank God that Liqui has been able to keep the MGO market alive on life support until the Bittrex problem is fixed.  However, daily MGO volume on Liqui is going down....

For the record, Bittrex is 15-20 times bigger exchange than Liqui.  Liqui is ranked as #29 with $9.5M in daily volume; Bittrex is #9 with $170M in daily volume.  Poloniex is #1 with 600M in daily volume.
