301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 14, 2024, 04:06:14 PM
Let's say you have a job that gives you the option to have your salary paid in BTC, ETC, or any other cryptocurrency, would you prefer that or would you rather still be paid in fiat? If you'd prefer crypto payment, which currency would you choose and why?
I prefer to be paid in BTC. I'm already used to it due to signature campaigns' payments, and it doesn't bother me in anyways. I learned how to organize my budget properly, converting the sum of money I need for daily expenses into fiat currency, while keeping the rest in BTC currency untouched. When you earn in Bitcoin, I feel like it encourages to invest more and spend less.

Also, it's much more accessible to invest when you receive your money in Bitcoin, than having to be paid in fiat to purchase Bitcoin right after, especially nowadays with the government crazy to tax and track all your investments' steps. Moreover, taxes are really abusive over crypto investments, so it's better that you are paid in Bitcoin and cashout it into fiat in small amounts, always you need the money.

On long run there is also another advantage, which is the fact your money is gaining more value when kept in BTC currency. On the other hand, you would be losing purchasing power by letting your money idle or invested at traditional investments categories at fiat banks, due to inflation.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 14, 2024, 10:59:52 AM
Tell me, what struggles popped up as you worked to turn your passion into a profit? How did you push past them? Got any pro tips you can share to help other hobby lovers try to make it big? I love hearing stories of folks who bet on themselves and won.
To say the truth I like writting and making posts on this forum, so I'm glad I can monetize this activity, so besides having some fun posting I also make a helpful income from it to pay some of my expenses.

In general I try working with things I enjoy doing, and that is why I chose a field of sudy to educate myself inside a professional career I will enjoy working futurely, which is Psychology.

What I can share as tip with others is to advise them to seek for self-knowledge. Know yourself, know what you like doing, know what is pleasant for you, and you will find long term alternatives on what to do as hobby, while also making an income from it.

Avoid doing activities just because others want you to do (to please others), or because you are aiming exclusively money.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing, the Trump pump is beginning on: May 14, 2024, 01:01:53 AM
Nothing new to see here. Trump was a Bitcoin enthusiast in 2016, then he became president and changed his stance to be against Bitcoin (in order to justify a maximalist defensive position of dollar currency). Now that he is looking for the presidency spot once again he adopts the previous stance of endorsing Bitcoin more or less?

Sorry, but if you get fascinated and excited for this kind of news you must be really naive. Trump wants the public to see him as the freedom anti-system warrior, and Bitcoin fits the role he is trying to interpret (for now). It's all about marketing, propaganda and manipulation.

Empty words are a big thing in this modern world, as it seems there aren't negative consequences for those who pronounce them... It's quite the opposite: liars and manipulators get more and more fans each new day.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are you hyper focus, online casinos or physical casinos on: May 13, 2024, 04:01:27 PM
It's easier to get distracted when you are under alcohol effect and at public areas, so I would say it's harder to get focused at physical casinos with so much temptation around like drinks, snacks and people talking to each other. At online casinos you can turn your place into a perfect environment without any interferences, what allows you to raise your focus to your gambling session.

For that reason, it's not unsual to lose control over time when playing online. Some gamblers see a whole day passing through a blink of an eye due to being hyper focused on their bets. If there isn't someone around to call their attention, they continue deeply emerged on the gambling games as there wasn't anything else to do in life.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? on: May 13, 2024, 03:45:27 PM
I see that current youth is inspired by celebrities and influencers in big way. Did you also start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? Or you know people who belong to that category ? Is it a wise decision to do so or we should do our own research for better results ?
No, I don't do anything in my life motivated by celebrities. If they advertise a service or product, for me it's indifferent. What I pay attention to is the product's usefulness itself and how it can impact my life positively when adoptint that. If there is a celebrity promoting it, it doesn't matter at all. On the other hand, if the celebrity in question is someone I dislike or have bad backgrounds, I confess I will tend to dislike the product they are promoting as well... In conclusion, talking by myself, there aren't positive points in hiring celebrities to advertise, because there aren't positive impacts implied on their presence on the ad, but there are negative ones when they are negatively perceived.

Other people may be heavily susceptible to celebrities, though. And that is why such worthless things as celebrities exist in first place... People are constantly seeking someone to idolize, unfortunatelly.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between females and males, who are more resistant to gambling losses?  on: May 12, 2024, 10:45:02 PM
Which gender will get worse when they are addicted to gambling?
There are exceptions, but as general rule I think men tend to be the worst gambling addicted of the industry. Men are prone into taking more risks, while women are usually aversive to it. So it's likely addicted men aren't going to measure the consequences of their acts on the present moment if they are avid gamblers. The very act of developing an addiction for gambling also displays that natural trait of men being attracted to risky activities.

At least, most cases of addicted gamblers I've seen are men. Moreover, I think they feel responsible for the finances and welfare of their families in a subverted way, as the providers of the household, so they appeal to gambling as a source of income to provide their families. Of course, it doesn't make sense at all, but in a narrowed state of mind, it must make sense for them on the present moment... On the other hand, thinking about the welfare of their families makes women retreat from gambling activity, because they understand how noxious it can be if they develop an addiction for it.

Both genders care about their families and want to do the best for them, but the behavior patterns for each gender tends to be different when faced with that same dilemma.
307  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 12, 2024, 10:33:40 PM
Anyways, personally, I've been wondering what possibly could have lead to the quietness, I actually have imagined alot of scenerios in my head, could be that TheQuin is very sick and have no means of typing a response though he sometimes manages to check the forum?
Or maybe an accident? Cus I do not want to believe that the dude is perfectly OK and deliberately stopped responding to users of freebitco, it's an absurd thing to do, I am wondering if there is anyone on this forum that knows him In person, maybe he or she can try reaching out to be sure the dude is OK in terms of health, and can then find out why he hasn't be responding to users complaints here.
Well, the only thing I know is that he had the opportunity to explain the reason behind so much carelessness with the website and its support, because we have been constantly addressing another issue a month ago or so regards an user who didn't have his deposit credited on the platform (and he was already waiting for more than 6 months). After a long time of repetitive requests, the responsible for the website finally appeared, solved the issue and apologized for the whole situation.

However, no further informations, details, updates or anything were shared with this community... If it were an accident, health issues or something else he could have already told us on that same message. Since then, no more communications were made by him. So, it's still a mistery. I don't want to judge and to be unfair, so I will keep my speculations for myself on what must have happened.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 12, 2024, 10:21:13 PM
Anyone here familiar with this kind of scenario on the title? Just recently saw a compulsive gambler diary which he manage to recover everything when he chased loss then later on he loss it all.
Yes, it's a common scenarion faced by many compulsive gamblers. They just don't stop until losing everything, what means there are highs and lows along the way, which involve them being able to recover considerable sums of lost money, what increases their personal confidence and morale to continue gambling pursuing even higher goals, until the final loss inevitably hits them so hard that nothing else can be done, besides stopping gambling, since there isn't money available anymore.

In fact, it must be very rare to find a successful story of a gamble who got every of his losses back, and then quitted gambling from that moment on, maintaining a history of profit for the rest of his life. If you find a story like that, please share with us and don't hesitate in creating a new thread talking about this achievement, which must be one in one million!
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2024 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: May 12, 2024, 10:04:59 PM
In any case, a general strike would also negatively affect other clubs that depend on ticket money to cover their monthly expenses, but perhaps this is a way of showing more solidarity with the "gauchos", while also making a bit of sacrifice.
It's hard to say something about this matter being outside of the reality they are facing. If they decide to keep the games as scheduled it seems insensible, because people will say money is talking louder than the suffering people are facing in Rio Grande do Sul, including the members of the clubs from that region. On the other hand, if games are postponed and the whole national industry stops temporarily, many other professionals will suffer as well, because the industry won't generate income to pay their wages.

There isn't an easy answer for this question. Maybe it's interesting to postpone games for a while (maybe few weeks or a month), but nothing beyond that seems reasonable, considering all the other negative impacts it's going to have over everyone else benefited directly or indirectly by soccer industry in Brazil.

The idea of leaving the flooded region to train and practice in the area of another club, which has volunteered a stadium or training arena for southern clubs is a good alternative, though.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 12, 2024, 09:50:05 PM
Imagine all your hardworking was turn out to nothing after a few years of gambling addiction.
Imagining that kind of situation was what prevented me from going further into gambling when I faced several sequential losses betting. In other words, thinking like that was what saved me from total bankruptcy, what would forbid me from taking any additional advantages of crypto market's bullish seasons and passive income from my investments, because everything would be gone through gambling. I feel sad for the gambler mentioned on this thread, because he has gone through a dark path which I fear to be hard to get rid of the negative consequences it's going to imply over his life.

Now everything he can do is to start from zero once again, but more careful and wise to analyze his actions and measure the potential consequences they are going to impact over his life. He hope he is able to do this, keeping his mind sane and his body strong to endure during the next challenges he is going to face in order to rebuild.
311  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poverty change people on: May 11, 2024, 05:56:02 PM
Poverty changes people on long run (for the worst), because those people didn't want to change when they had the opportunity to do so.

That is, they didn't want to change their practices, habits and behaviors. They didn't try to improve themselves as individuals, they didn't pursue a better future, while insisting on the same old patterns which could never allow them to upgrade their lives somehow.

Then at some point the frustration hits hard, it's inevitable... Once they think about the time they lost on worthless activities, addictions and practices, they finally realize things could have happened differently, if their actions were different as well. So you see bitterness and grudge on their faces, especially if they still keep blaming their misfortune on others, while also envying others' successes in life.

However, it's never too late for those people, and each new day can be a fresh start, since the individual has good will to rupture with old patterns and practices, choosing to follow ahead, into a new promising future. Small steps and persistence are the key.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 11, 2024, 05:45:48 PM
The goal is to be able to pay for medical school! Feel free to follow or fade my bets! Smiley
It must not be easy or cheap to pay for a medicine course. It's usually the most expensive of the educational areas available in the market, doesn't matter what country you are from. However, I must say it's not through gambling that you are going to make your dream come true... At least, since it's all about probabilities in gambling, there is a major chance you aren't going to fulfill your dream this way. So, why not put this money you are risking into good use?

If things don't look favourable for you in the present moment, use the money to educate yourself in another professional career. Find feasible alternatives which can proportinate you a good and promising future, and once you reach there, who knows, maybe you can finally start a medicine course without having to risk all your funds gambling, without any assurance it's going to revert any good for you.

Gambling is for entertainment, and not for students willing to pay their school's fees...
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 11, 2024, 05:34:24 PM
In my case, I have to lose a lot of money to realize I have to gamble responsibly if I don't want to break my finances and experience depression, so now I control myself and monitor my expenses, and I'm doing good with it.
Yes, in my case I also had to lose some amount of money until I realized I was taking the wrong approach towards gambling. I had gambling as a potential source of income to make steady passive income profit, so as you can see I was really wrong about it, and it was only though losses that I understood I couldn't overcome the house edge factor, which prevents us from making profit on long run, despite the strategies we use and the size of the bets we place.

Now I know to be responsible gambler means to know we can't defeat the house the more we play. I finally got aware about my personal limits inside the game, so I don't get greedy anymore and stick to a pre-determined bankroll which can never be trespassed. People around me sometimes advised me that it was taking so much risks by gambling, but I didn't listen to them at all. I had to learn by myself, through my own mistakes...
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where Will It Go If The Money Comes From Illegal Source on: May 10, 2024, 11:40:05 PM
Part of casinos' terms of service is banning your account if you cannot justify your source of income or they think it comes from an illegal source, so if a casino bans your account. You have 6 digits in your account; where will the money go, and do they have the right to keep the money? There is no provision; I read they will turn over the money to the authorities.

Is it legal for casinos to keep the money?
If it's on their terms and conditions, then it's legal if the casino keep the money if it comes from an illegal source, however I don't think it's right if the casino does this deliberately, especially when gamblers hit nice prizes on the games provided by the platform. This rule should be only taken into consideration in very rare situations where the source of the gambler's funds is blatantly from illegal sources, such as the ones connected to criminal organizations and theft. Then I would say it's right that the casino returns the money to authorities.

But if that is not the case, I see no reason why casinos should be requesting every average gamblers to provide their income sources in order to play or cashout funds from the platforms. It just mean extra bureaucracy and inconvenience for the players who might feel annoyed and tempted to leave the platform for this reason, going to another websites where they can have a simpler and more enjoyable experience.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about Casinos rewards? on: May 10, 2024, 11:25:28 PM
Do you research the casino features before playing? Do you find these features useful for the casino and the player at the same time?
Depending the reward I think it's useful, but as you said, you have to do your own research to find out if a respective reward is worthful to be pursued or not. Sometimes it's just a bait to make you lose a lot of money in the process, while receiving tiny reward in the end. I really like giveaways, because they can be claimed without risking money in counterpart. By saving giveways you could hit a nice amount of money to gamble or to just cashout, although nowadays you rarely see them available around.

Another rewards which involve wagering requirements, such as VIP rewards are nice consolation prizes on long run for those who play naturally and eventually reach a point where they have access to the feature. However, for those who are playing aiming to hit such VIP status, it doesn't worth at all. There are another categories of rewards such as deposit bonus and promotional rewards in special events of the casino, and regards them I would say most don't worth too, because the requirements are just too high. But you can dig some interesting opportunities if you have time for that, are focused and determined.

One thing in your post makes my wonder why would you say they have "very tight" when it comes to multi-account user? Have you seen some examples of alt accounts banned or something?
Multi-account is completely against the rules of the platform, because it's a faucet, what means that if everyone decided to use multi-accounts, their business model would be completely unsustainable and would have to close down, just like many faucets had to do in previous years due to abusers and cheaters. Imagine if each user created an army of accounts to take advantage of the hourly faucet, while referring each other in order to maximize the profits made. All the money to pay these multiple accounts would come from freebitco.in's pockets, so the business couldn't afford so much losses.

For that reason they are a strict policy against this practice, which is fully endorsed by the community, because legit users know that is what they have to do in order to keep the platform running for all these years. Unfortunatelly now we are seeing lots of issues going on with the website, but that is regards another matters, anyway.
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: LAST CHANCE TO BUY BITCOIN..... on: May 10, 2024, 04:58:00 PM
It wasn't the last chance to buy Bitcoin, because it has just crashed to 60,000$ once again. Bitcoin isn't managing to break the 60,000$'s price range to move into 70,000$ once again. Big players are heavily manipulating the market downside these days and it's already getting on nerves... There is nothing we can do for now besides waiting, and that is exactly what the whales don't want you to do, because they want your coins for a cheap price.

It seems we aren't going to get rid this bearish trend anytime soon. I fear it might still take more one month or two until we see a considerable and decent change on the trend of crypto market upside. Price will only skyrocket once big players determine it's time.

Unfortunatelly people in general around the world decided to continue behaving like sheep, so they definitely didn't come into BTC investment. They just ignored the bull market opportunity and gave up the potential coins they could acquire for the whales. And the whales are thankful for that.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peoples expectations about casinos free spins on: May 09, 2024, 09:12:09 PM
Free spins are not supposed to enrich you, take them as a demo to see how the online casino feels like.

What about you ? How do you feel about about free spins?
Free spins used to be a good giveaway feature offered by casinos, so gamblers could accumulate small sums of money to gamble or to cashout, if they wished. However, giveaways disappeared from casinos since some years ago, so now free spins don't come for free at all. You have to wager considerable amounts of money in order to be rewarded with free spins. What means that if you are gambling aiming free spins, it definitely doesn't worth at all, because they aren't going to cover your losses anyway.

Consider free spins an extra reward you can collect after a while playing, but don't get obsessed about it. It's just like cashback or rakeback feature. It's nice to recover some extra money you wagered, but it's not going to guarantee profitability over your gambling routine, so keep your expectations reasonable over them.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the main points of gambling? on: May 09, 2024, 08:48:24 PM
What do you think about this people losses much? Does it mean they don't know the main points of gambling?
Yes, they don't know or don't absorb what gambling is about. They are blind by their own beliefs and misconceptions of gambling, maybe because they are still newbies without experience, or maybe because they are too stubborn and foolish to understand they can't turn gambling into a stable source of income or a regular job. And if they insist following this path, they are only going to make their lives worse and worse, without achieving prosperity and conquests along the years.

Everyone here has probably already seen during their lifetime people who kept insisting on the same behavior patterns and addictions, and as consequence they didn't reach anywhere, rather they remained on the same precarious life conditions for decades. For someone who is outside this reality it's hard to understand why some people act like that, but it does happen more often than it should...
320  Economy / Gambling / Re: House Edge on: May 09, 2024, 08:04:06 PM
Just understand that any house edge will always take your entire bankroll. Even if you play with a 0 house edge, you will still lose sooner or later due to the fact that the casino has restrictions on the maximum bet.
In this case, bonuses, cashback, etc. will give you an advantage. Better to play poker against people.
Actually, if there were a 0% house edge casino I think we would have chances to win on long run, because it would mean random outcomes without any advantage for one side or another. For that reason, there isn't any 0% house edge casinos available, otherwise the casinos would be under constant risk of losses on long run, turning the business into an unsustainable one which couldn't be maintained anymore.

On the other hand, 0% house edge games would be a great concept for PvP decentralized games. That is, games which wouldn't have a casino platform as middleman, so there would be 50% winning chances for both gamblers competing against each other.
