308  Economy / Goods / Re: [Price drop] Create secure paper wallets with an Ubuntu Live USB 0.03BTC each on: July 14, 2016, 10:27:54 AM
I have received my usbs. They came very well packaged ready to use. Chris even sent me a guide on how to securely generate vanity addresses using the USB.

You can boot your computer into Ubuntu using the USB, which includes everything you need to securely generate addresses. Very easy to use device!

That coin looks damn sweet. 0.1BTC suits this perfectly for your first batch. I would certainly purchase one.
And as someone else stated, the less people know about how you print your private keys the better.
Got a rough estimate on price for these yet? ( excluding the BTC to be funded ).
Thanks Zepher! The estimated pricing is written in OP Wink

Fewer people can afford a 1B funded coin, and some people may not want to trust another person with the keys.  I do enjoy nice presentation like a nice custom wooden box.  I would suggest a lower denomination like .05 or .1, or unfunded.

Also keep in mind about Fincen rules against shipping to US customers with funded coins unless you have the proper licenses.

I prefer 1oz Silver coins.  It's the right combination of price and precious metal.
I agree and don't plan on selling 1BTC coins for the first batch.

I already heard about that. The laws are complicated and therefore I will not sell any coins to customers in the US directly. But can it go through via a group buy? (Like denarium/BTCC)

In 3D it looks better already Wink
Thanks! Will upload more renderings in some time Smiley

Nice Zeroxal!  Looking forward to how this project progresses and interested to see what hologram/hologram design you land on.   Smiley
Thanks digi! The hologram design concept will be ready in about a week or two. Stay tuned! Grin
319  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [POLL][PRE-ANN] Project XEROLA | Modernly designed physical Bitcoins on: June 28, 2016, 03:14:31 PM
I like the idea and will buy the coin, however I'd expect better designs then the ones shown in the OP.
Funded is ok but 1BTC for a first coin release nowadays is way too high.

If you want these to be popular consider not everyone will have 1 BTC on top of the cost of the coin to afford it.

0.01 funding got my vote.

Also don't mention your setup or how are you going to print your PKs... The less info you share the better, people are watching.
If you get hacked all the PKs could be too.

I also would try to avoid any method of printing PKs on the coin which could reveal it under Xray.

Oh and I rather the coin costs less than having fancy packaging wrapping it.
Packaging has no value, the coin and content has, spend more money on the coin design and mint, in my opinion.
The designs in the OP are just concepts. It will be reworked before sending it out to the mint.
Anyways here's a quick 3D model of the coin concept. Please me know what you think Smiley

The packaging won't affect the price of the coin that much. It won't cost more than 5-10$ for each coin.

Buy a cheaper computer, build the price of the computer into your coin price, after your done generating keys, smash the computer into pieces, put it in a bonfire then soak with water....wahla.  Grin
I'll probably just use a raspberry Pi and video document the destruction of it after all coins have been shipped Grin
