Yeah, cloudflare gave us one hell of day today. We're (again) in contact with them and hope for a speedy resolution.

Their outages seem to be highly localized, most people (myself and Bjorn included) can access the site just fine right now. Please try again in like 10 min and let us know how it goes.

I'm not sure what to tell you. All I can say is that my network access, which was semi-broken all day, has returned to normal and that our server is functioning correctly.

If you have trouble accessing the site, it must be a network issue somewhere between your access point and the server. I'd say wait 10 min and try again. If it persists, please let us know and we'll investigate.

It seems that the connection issues we were facing have been resolved and that we're back to normal functionality. We apologize for the problems caused but it was a network issue which which was beyond our control.

In order to compensate our users for the difficulties encountered we will be scheduling 2 hours of happy hour starting in 10 minutes.

We experienced a cloudflare issue which impacted some users, based on their geographic location. The update itself had nothing to do with the outage. Everything seems back to normal now.

Just a little update: we just pushed out another build (see dev post, 2nd post of this thread).

The major update from a user's perspective is that you can now verify any bet by going to https://betterbets.io/app/bet/?id=123456. So if you wanted to see the info for bet #987654, you would go to https://betterbets.io/app/bet/?id=987654, etc. We will probably improve the interface on this in the future to allow for easier data entry and browsing of bets, but at least for now you have the capability to verify any desired bet.

We don't know and don't care how many accounts you have. Consider the fact that when you create an account all you have to provide is a username; we have no way of verifying who the user behind a given username is. Even if an email account would be required, it would still be easy to use multiple email addresses to create multiple accounts.

In the future the drawing process will be made more transparent and verifyable; we sort of ran out of time this time around.

Bottom line: if you think it helps your luck, go wild!

Dear BetterBets.io users, players, fans and haters,

as you know, we've seen sporadic instances of the INVALID_HASH bug which forced you to logout before being able to continue betting.

I'm happy to announce that I've just pushed out a fix which hopefully resolves this problem once and for all. If you ever see this error again, please let us know but with a bit of luck, it should slowly fade away into the annals of history.

I just want to address what sound like a concern about our viability as a new site. We are integrated with and backed by MoneyPot.com. As such, the fact that we are a new site should not be a concern to players because they know

1) We have a 3 figure bankroll
2) We can't steal the bankroll, even if we wanted to (which we don't)
3) We're here for the long-run. We want to develop BetterBets.io into a recognized and respected betting site which is the reason why we chose the partnership with MoneyPot.com. They are serious about wanting develop this side of their business as are we.

If that's what you alluded to, I hope it answers your concerns. If you didn't mean to imply this, I apologize for dwelling on this point.

Sorry to hear that you lost. But as you surely know, gambling is a 2-way street: sometimes you win and sometimes you loose. I sincerely hope you have better luck next time.

Also, in order to help people run the AutoBot more effectively, we've published a tool to pre-calculate your bet sizes based on the chosen Bot parameters. We hope that this helps our uses run the bot more effectively and make planning such runs easier.

Just a short update on our current standing and future plans:

1) Most bugs which we had during and after go-live have been resolved. There are a few minor ones left and we expect to have those resolved by Monday

2) We then have a few days of server related development (backend scripts, improving admin functionality, etc.)

3) Once all of that is out of the way, we'll be working on new site functionality. During this phase, you should probably not expect daily updates but we hope to be able to present something new (or at least radically improved) within 2 weeks.

All in all, we're quite happy with what we've achieved during the first 10 days since go-live and thank our users for their faith in us and their support.

I just pushed another update to our production server (see the dev post (2nd post of this thread) for details). The major additions (among the usual minor stuff) is that we now have 3 new tabs in the BetLog table which people hopefully will find useful and interesting to look at.

Also, now that our database tables have grown to a somewhat more significant size, a round of DB-tuning was required. The result of this is that some queries (most importantly, the queries for the BetLog tables) now run about 100x as fast as they did 24 hours ago. You should notice that when switching tabs, the results get populated much faster now. I've also put in logic to detect when a refresh for certain tabs is not required, so on some tabs you'll see refreshes very infrequently.

Yes, we did change something in the cookie management although I didn't think it would have such drastic consequences. In general, when you get persistent problems like this, the best source of action is to Logout and then log back in. That should resolve any issues.
