301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run according to Simpsons! on: April 25, 2023, 08:11:50 PM
I was going through Instagram reels and found a video. The video is from the Simpson sitcom which has been on the air for about 31 years. This series has been known to predict major global events.

Considering their prediction being correct for all significant events happening globally. I felt I should share the below image. I know some of you would say it is just a FOMO created by someone. I have no comment regarding that!
Their predictions for the events in the past might have been correct but that doesn't mean that they have some sort of a crystal ball that shows them the future, and we can't base our thoughts only on what is being shown by them. Bitcoin is a very unpredictable cryptocurrency and we have seen that all the time throughout the years.

So, the real fact is that no one can actually know when the actual bull run starts, and there are a lot of speculations and predictions but none can be entirely correct. As we know, if there are a lot of different opinions, one of them will surely prove to be the right one in the end.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There are many advantages to the relationship between gambling and Bitcoin. on: April 25, 2023, 07:00:21 PM
I feel like biggest advantages of using Bitcoin in online gambling platforms is to avoid some countries' regulations. It can be very hard to deposit local currency to bank account of gambling platforms. But its so much quicker and easier to do same with Bitcoin. Most countries don't follow Bitcoin transactions in such situations because its not exactly something illegal. Its legally grey area. It gives chance to many people around the world to gamble in 5 minutes.
Using bitcoins is an advantage for crypto gamblers as they do not need to transfer their bank accounts to online casinos and also it is safer from government tracking to banks. Apart from that, maybe it will also help reduce transaction costs that must be incurred by gamblers every time they deposit their money to play gambling. And even though bitcoin may not be illegal in that country, gamblers can still use it to play gambling because as long as the crypto casino doesn't prohibit users from that country from gambling in its casino, they can still gamble using bitcoin.
Having no geographic restrictions is definitely one of the best features of cryptocurrency casinos since almost anyone from any part of the world can utilize the platforms and gamble with ease since there are also no restrictions on cryptocurrency transactions. This has given a platform to everyone to be able to play games without any restrictions.

But, I think there are still some casinos that don't allow some gamblers from some regions to play on their platform, this probably is because they require KYC for withdrawals and they are not able to verify some users based on their region.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About football betting on: April 25, 2023, 06:12:55 PM
I myself I do more of football betting that casino. Both casino betting and football betting involve some risks which is loosing and getting addicted. In football, there are higher chances of winning than in casino game even though the wining sometimes depends on the team performance and sometimes it depends on the decisions of the referee. But in the case of referee VAR assist in making the decisions of the referees fair. It can dictate an offside line.
It seems that sports betting can provide a greater chance of winning than casino betting because if we can get valid information to help our analysis find the right team, we can win. But on the other hand, if we can't get that info, we won't win unless something changes happen during the game that can make us win accidentally. As long as the referee can honestly decide something in the match, we don't need to worry if the match is rigged.
There is a proverb in the English language that says, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.", so when we see something from where we stand, we always think that the other side is obviously better than where we are, but that's not actually the case. Every place or thing has its significance and importance.

Sports betting is not as easy as it may seem, and though it isn't totally dependent on luck, it's very difficult to be able to choose the correct outcomes of each match and you need to have a lot of knowledge and experience to be successful in that.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 25, 2023, 05:12:41 PM
Usually I don't like spending money to buy lottery ticket for obvious reasons unless it is free offer by any gambling platform. Bc game casino has daily free spin wheel for specific Vip levels and one of the sections on wheel offers 10 lottery tickets. Getting free lottery tickets can boost the balance if one of the tickets gonna hit daily prize. This is how I like to play lottery, due to the high house edge fact I don't like paying for lottery ticket tbh.
^Even on Freebitco.in, they have a free ticket for a lottery but that was not got my interest, because the lottery for me it seems like a boring game, you need to wait more or less 24 hours to see the result. In my place, I sometimes bought a ticket from our local lottery seeing the amount of the prize become a billion. For me, we never know when the jackpot will hit, so when we will hit the jackpot if we do not buy tickets on the lottery but at least, that amount spent is the amount that we can afford.
I don't get it, you said you don't like lotteries because you find them boring since their results come out after at least 24 hours or later but then you said you take part in your local lottery, I don't think that the result of the local lottery is drawn every day since you said the reward is about a billion of whatever currency it is.

So is it the waiting time that you don't like in lotteries or the prizes? If the price is too high, it's interesting, but if it isn't, not really interesting, right? Anyway, I think the lottery is freebitco.in got some good prizes as well, the first prize is mostly above $10k which isn't bad if you are getting tickets for free.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria continuous banning of crypto on: April 25, 2023, 03:23:59 AM
Nigeria has had a complicated relationship with cryptocurrencies. In February 2021, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) issued a circular prohibiting banks and other financial institutions from servicing cryptocurrency exchanges, effectively banning crypto trading in the country. The CBN cited concerns around the use of cryptocurrencies for money laundering and terrorist financing.

This move was met with criticism from the crypto community in Nigeria, as well as from some government officials and lawmakers who saw the ban as a barrier to innovation and economic growth.

However, the ban was recently lifted in October 2021, allowing Nigerians to once again participate in the crypto market. Despite this, the crypto market has continued to experience volatility, influenced by various global and local factors such as regulatory actions, market sentiments, and economic conditions
I don't really understand why an underdeveloped country would impose a ban on an innovation that can literally help their economy grow better and help the country and their people to have better lives and more income opportunities. I believe developing or underdeveloped countries should be the ones who should be more welcoming to a technology like blockchain and cryptocurrencies in general.

What do they really want to achieve by creating all these complications or by banning cryptocurrencies within the country? The government should let the people have their freedom with it and if they want, they should try to regulate it if they can.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 23, 2023, 04:24:34 PM
Everyone keeps forgetting about house edge when they talk about this, and I agree that this would be the reason why they would not be managing an AI to gamble for you. You can max the capability of an AI and create the best one, but mathematically house will always win and there is no scenario, no AI, no human, no nothing that could beat a house with 1% edge (well 1% commonly but that changes based on games and casinos).

So all in all, we are not going to see an AI do better than humans do, that's just not going to happen. I hope that it will get better one day but I bet that it will not get any better and we are going to end up seeing AI fail to be better than humans. Worst part is some people will think AI will be better and test it and lose even more money than they would normally because they trusted it too much.
I don't really understand why people are behind AI to be able to make them win when everyone clearly knows that gambling is not something that can be won if your luck is against you, an AI model can simply not be able to turn your losses into wins or your bad days into good ones since it isn't capable of doing that nor it's possible.

Gambling is about pure luck and nothing else can change that. Whether you ask the AI model to give you some strategy or make it predict the outcomes of a sports event, none of that is going to be accurate at all.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: April 22, 2023, 08:05:30 PM
I personally choose ETH and BNB because these 2 coins are in the top 5 coins on the market cap. If I am asked to choose between ETH and BNB, I choose ETH. According to my analysis, ETH will set a new record in the future,
Basing only if who is at the top is not always a good idea because sometimes coins that are at the top have no future but they only reached that spot because they are being manipulated but you can always monitor the coins that you hold. Never be confident and leave them like you don't care because you might come back one day only to see your portfolio at a loss. So many people are complaining lately about the fees on ETH. This coin seem to not improve after several upgrades so I am skeptical about its future. BNB also receive some critics and its company Binance. So once again, please be careful about them.

what's more, ETH is often called the bitcoin killer. What do you think?
Not only ETH but almost all alts and toks have a title like this but all of them fail to kill Bitcoin. BTC remains to be the strongest crypto, no wonder it's being favored the most by the investors.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 22, 2023, 06:28:31 PM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?

I know most people will favor certain Sport, because they know more about the players or the teams and information is power, when it comes to betting... but some Sport are 50/50 when it comes to the outcome of the match. (One lucky punch or kick can make a underdog a champion)
The most probable reason is obviously what you described yourself, a person tends to bet on a sport that he understands pretty well, has been following for years, knows how the teams perform, who are the best players in each team, etc. That definitely makes your chances higher of winning a bet since you will probably have knowledge about both teams involved.

I think sports where a single thing can influence the whole result are based on your luck but even those sports can be mastered like boxing, I know its a sport where as you said, a single kick or a punch can change the game, but it doesn't happen all the time, and experienced boxers will probably win most of the times again novices.
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: April 22, 2023, 05:14:12 PM
if bitcoin can't reach ATH again, then people will just take advantage of the volatility that occurs at the price that is being reached at that price. the potential for bitcoin will always be there because the price goes up and down. In addition, the potential for bitcoin to reach new ATH is still very large. price developments from year to year also prove that bitcoin price developments continue to occur. although there have been some significant declines due to FUD, the potential for ATH for bitcoin is still very large.
The question is, will there be an issue if Bitcoin doesn't cross its previous all-time high? And the answer is no, there will be no issues at all. It might only be an issue for those investors who bought Bitcoin when it was at its peak because a lot of people sold their Bitcoins in that position and those who were buying are probably still waiting for the price to reach there again.

Apart from that, there will be no issues at all. It wouldn't have a change in its utility, nor the traders will have an issue since it will still be volatile enough for traders to gain profits even if it doesn't go too high.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 22, 2023, 03:28:02 PM
It's possible, but depends on the period of time that you want this daily income to work.
I always make fun of these questions because there's so many ways you can interpret them.  Like "can i make 100 daily?" the answer is yes, will I make it? Probably not. Will I make it daily for 2 days in a row? Very likely! Will I make it for 30 days in a row? Very unlikely! I hope you understand now how it works, OP.

Nobody can guarantee a steady income from a game of chance. These two things don't work together. One day you win a lot of money, then you'll keep losing for 3 days straight. Even good gamblers win about 60% of the time, so you want to be better than professionals by earning $100 each day.
Earning $100 daily with a capital of $2000 through gambling is simply not possible. If it was that easy, anyone would follow that and earn millions of dollars only through gambling considering anyone can manage to get together about $2000 by doing anything if they come to know that they can easily get about $100 from gambling with it on a daily basis.

Getting $100 for one day and losing $500 the other day isn't really worth it, and that's how gambling is, now matter how careful you are, no matter how much small you make the odds when betting, the house edge will still get you.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are a joke. on: April 21, 2023, 07:28:05 PM
To be honest, I am really expecting ETH to have much lower fees like in just a few cents per transaction because of transitioning from PoW to PoS. Although that they have managed to lower them down, but not what I have really expected.

Hopefully this upgrade and/or the future upgrades will significantly lower down the fees way beyond my expectations since some of my clients are preferring to pay me USDT in ETH network than in BNB or Polygon without any reason at all. Maybe they trust ETH more despite the fees.

But at least right now it’s a little bit better than the yesteryears where we pay ridiculous high amounts worth of ETH gas fees.
Even those who trust it the most will soon migrate to another protocol if this continues, no one will keep suffering with such high fees forever, especially now when there are a lot of new and potential blockchain protocols released every now and then. If ETH developers don't come up with a solution soon, I'm afraid all the projects created on top of it will also start migrating to new protocols.

There are a lot of new alternatives with much lower fees and more scalability and many other options such as interoperability, etc. And they even allow migration from other protocols, especially Ethereum.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 21, 2023, 05:40:50 PM
Elon Musk has come out and said that he doesn't like the way that AI is being trained to lie by the companies that are currently controlling it.  As a result, he has stated that he will begin building an AI that won't be taught to lie or be politically correct to push an alternative agenda on mankind.  This gives me hope that you will be able to use his AI product without trying to trick it into breaking it's own rules in order to get the desired outcome.  I have high hopes after seeing how he's exposed the government via his Twitter acquisition.  At this point he's looking like humanity's biggest freedom fighter.
Well, I kind of like him too, despite being a troll a lot of times, he does a lot of reasonable things and we have seen it in the past and hopefully we will get to see that in the future as well. His recent biggest trolling story is the recent changing of Twitter's official website icon to doge which made the token surge in price and make investors and holders happy.

We know that when he aims to create something, he does everything to make that happen, and if he is actually serious about creating an AI model of that nature, it will probably be the best out there.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 21, 2023, 03:48:40 PM
1-3 years = bitcoin.
no need to wait 2-3 years to invest in Bitcoin, because I believe next year at the time of Bitcoin halving, you will definitely get profit from investing in Bitcoin at this time, therefore now is the right time to buy and hold Bitcoin, because I believe that 2024, Bitcoin price will definitely create a new ATH price and give a lot of profit.
I think you probably didn't get it, that didn't mean waiting for 2 or 3 years before buying Bitcoin, what it meant was that if you are buying and holding for 2 to 3 years, you should go for Bitcoin and not any other cryptocurrency. I personally believe diversification is much better, though one should invest about 50% in Bitcoin.

We can't really be sure of the short-term growth of Bitcoin like 1 or 2 years from now, but Bitcoin will eventually be higher in price than now, and if one has got enough patience to hold for long, they should invest more than half of their capital in Bitcoin for sure.
314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: April 21, 2023, 02:55:00 PM
Do you believe in the speculative investors who will say bitcoin is even lower? Just wait if you are sure but you will regret waiting for an uncertain price while bitcoin is currently recovering and in a little while the price of bitcoin can touch $ 40K of course that is my belief not affected by other speculation.

My prediction is that the price of bitcoin is unlikely to return to its lowest point again. This is good support to become further resistance. Are you ready for the capital to buy bitcoin now? Go for it, it will also be the best price while it's still low, or do DCA it will buy at the dollar-cost average that many others have used in bitcoin investments.
The price has already started correcting itself, and the correction might go a little deep, maybe not as deep as touching its lower point from the last crash, but I believe it can go below $25k pretty easily if there is a lot of panic selling or market manipulation by the bears. So the best thing for someone willing to invest is to simply DCA from this point further.

DCA provides one with the opportunity to buy and store Bitcoin from every single price point that it has dropped from the last point one has bought, so the average will be pretty good once the price starts to go up again and reaches a certain height.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes ARB price keep climbing despite occasional drops ? on: April 20, 2023, 06:02:43 PM
With their successful launch ? and their airdrop giving millions and millions to the supporters? and the outcome of their advertising ? now we can see the fruits of it and this is what we are seeing now , ARB is continuously climbing and indeed that we might be seeing this for another long months till the bull run.
Don't you think that it's only just the result of the recent hype that was caused by the ARB airdrop? I know that Arbitrum is a potentially good project and can go a long way, but if it can actually retain its position and make a name for itself within the community then we might see its token surge even higher in price, but if things don't go well for them, we might see something opposite of that.

There is basically a lot of competition among protocols these days, you can find a lot of newly launched blockchain protocols and some are still coming up, so it's probably going to be a tough one for a lot of them to survive.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 20, 2023, 05:32:03 PM
Loosing in gambling is still part of the game. You must expect looses each time you want to gamble.
Certainly everyone looses in slot but you can minimize your looses through the above listed strategies.
Setting of budgets and not chasing looses is one major way of controlling your losses in slot gambling which falls under self discipline. Gamble for fun not for a living. And never gamble with any amount you cant afford to loose so that you wont be heart broken.
Be heartbroken or simply broke in monetary terms? Lol. Someone who doesn't follow discipline when gambling is most likely to become broke in no time, and then regret not following a simple pattern for spending their money and not getting too emotionally attached to their losses which usually causes a gambler to chase their losses.

When you are a disciplined and responsible gambler, you learn to accept your losses and move on with your normal betting routine without trying to chase them down in pursuit to change them into wins which never ends well.
317  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 20, 2023, 05:02:03 PM

[This is just the early stage of the AI development, I am very sure that with time AI is going to dominate the world and I hope that it is not going to be mostly used for evil. In gambling AI is going to work well and I think we are going to enjoy it. Based on op description, there are more to come and we all going to see the difference between real life horse and computer which is AI race. I think they are going to make some  more adjustment to make it looks real for people to have the full though of playing or riding an horse for the competition. With time we are going to see more of this in other fields too.
Sincerely I don't like the idea of artificial intelligence I don't know why I am not convinced by AI development and its performance because Artificial intelligence can not do human work properly even though it looks as if it will solve human duties and problems with less effort.

We are still in the early stage of this discovery and as it is, there have already been some recognisable bad effects and usage of this development. But let's see how things keep developing to See if AI will o e day march ul with human efforts
What do you refer to when you say there have been some recognizable bad effects of Artificial Intelligence? We all know that it's still at its early stage of development and we are yet to see a lot of things happening around the technology, the adoption level isn't that high at the moment nor there are any big tech firms utilizing it mainly for any of their projects.

I don't know why you don't like the idea of artificial intelligence when it's clearly one of the best innovations of this era which will definitely erupt in the near future and we will see it covering every single sector for good.
318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Live it, face and enjoy. The future belongs to us in earnest. on: April 20, 2023, 07:26:03 AM
Any human with a goal must go through dificult stage to achieve the said goal.
Whatever it is that you go through during your goal achievement, you just have to enjoy the process. First sign of a successful goal is the tiredness and difficulties involved. Never quit when you feel tired, all you need is rest and continue knowing the end point will be profiting. Every hard works pays definitely but not immediately  all you need to so is to be consistent.
It doesn't always need to be difficult. As the saying says, work smart not hard. There are people who are naturally lazy and wants an easy route or a short cut but it only made their journey harder. That is because what they pick a wrong path. They believe on the scammers. They skip the learning part. As a result they lose.

This why going on the default hard path is still better as it can make you more knowledgeable and stronger. Other than consistency, patience is also a must so that one must not quit. Once we start to see a positive result, things are going to be easy after because we are now motivated to do our routine. This can also lessen the fatigue or tiredness that we are feeling.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 19, 2023, 06:11:24 PM
Gambling addiction is currently rampant, most people gambling currently are taking gambling as source of income, which they are always doing everything just to win, even when they are losing they don't give up, they keep on gambling hoping they will win, one of the first mistake gamblers are always making is taking gambling as source of income, gambling should be for relaxation and fun and not your source of income, if you take gambling as your source of income, then you will easily get addicted and you won't even know when you will start taking loan and selling properties just because you want to gamble.
Gambling addiction is something that I see many control easily, they have a hard time doing it and from what they have said things get out of control, I don't know what is worse, falling into the habit of drugs, alcohol or being addicted The bad thing about the casino and games of Chance is that the casino throws you off at once and how does it play if an addicted player doesn't like to play with play money, if it were with play money there would be no problems, but that's with real money and not being in control and losing all the time is worthy that you need professional help.
Addiction is not something to be controlled with ease, it's as simple as that. Now it doesn't matter what that addiction is, when it comes to gambling, people who gamble a lot are basically gambling addicts, and you can barely find someone who finds it easy to just stop gambling, they may try at some point to reduce the time they spend on it, but eventually, they will start adding to it again.

So it's pretty obvious that it's not easy to control gambling addiction, and that is the reason why everyone suggests that one should gamble only within his limits, by not spending much money or much time on it.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 19, 2023, 05:26:55 PM
On one hand I think that only fools play the lottery, but on the other, you can't win if you don't play.  I used to get in to big state lotteries when it would get up in to the hundreds of millions or over a billion dollars during a work "pool", where say 10 of us at work would pool our money to buy as many tickets as we decided and if any of the numbers hit we would of course split that.  Since we had a better chance at winning that way, I would play...but I don't think I've ever played just by myself.  I feel the same for lotto tickets.  I'd rather spend $1-5 on some shitcoin that might pump over wasting my money on a lotto ticket that has a .00001% chance of hitting even a decent win.
You are probably right that the probability of winning a lottery is basically too low unless you buy a lot of tickets and manage to get some percentage of the total sold tickets, that might give you some chances of winning but that might not even be worth it since you've already spent a lot of money on it and since your spent money doesn't cover a very high percentage, the chances are you will lose the money more than to win a prize.

So it's definitely not a good practice to spend a lot of money on lotteries where your chances of winning are too low, but some people just always tend to believe in trying their luck in almost everything, I personally wouldn't mind participating but only if I'm getting free tickets some way, lol.
