301  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange - Started to Implement KYC to Users on: March 06, 2019, 02:42:06 PM
This info is available when you're logged in, can see under Account > Contact & Verification Level Settings

Is upgrading in level 3 mandatory? I mean what if I'm fine with the level 2 since I don't trade that much there and I just have small amount. I don't think I need to be in level 3 which have high amount to be withdrawn. On the contrary, it says until March 31, 2019, I'm confuse tho. Huh
I'm not sure either if that's mandatory and if the date written was the same for all non verified accounts. I think you should check your account and/or contact the support directly about it.

IMO, having level 2 would be nonsense if they will require to updrade to level 3 within a specified time. It shoud be optional/voluntary
302  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: March 05, 2019, 11:55:27 PM
I don't get the code from email... Sad
Site is available now, but i can't login even because two-factor authentication code doesn't come to email.
Unfortunately, no one can help you here. You should contact their support.

I remember that cryptopia encouraged all users to use Google Authenticator/Authy or Cryptopia Authenticator as they say it's the highest level of security. They provided a security warning to those who are using low level of security which includes 2FA email and 2FA pincode. I have been using email auth before and that notification popped up as well in my cryptopia account, that's when I decided to change my 2FA settings.

Aside from that, there have been several issues of not receiving email codes too. Maybe another reason for them to discourage users of using it.
303  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitinka blocked my account and do not withdraw my ETH for 3 weeks! Stay away! on: March 05, 2019, 03:00:33 PM
I haven't tried this site, but upon searching, I found out that BitInka account is still active here, he might post a reply once he saw this thread. You can try sending them a direct message or tweet on Twitter too. Don't stop reaching out to them until you receive your Eth

Also, just want to let you know that your image should end with the extension name (.jpg, .png, .gif) before inserting between the img tag. When you uploaded an image in imgur, right click the image and click copy image address or open image in new tab then copy the URL
304  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory Won't go online on: March 04, 2019, 09:40:17 AM
AppData is hidden by default, to go there it's either you:

1. Do it manually using your mouse by clicking Windows > your username (in the upper right corner). A folder/windows explorer will open. On the navigation above > click Organize (dropdown menu) > click Folder and search options > go to View > click the radio button for "Show hidden files, folders,  and drives > click Apply > click OK . It will then show the AppData folder for good unless the settings was reset to default.

2. Do it in an easy way using the shortcut keys. Using your keyboard, hold windows button and press R > put %appdata% and press enter. That's it, you'll be directed to AppData/Roaming folder. This is an easy way to access the folder while it remains hidden

3. The link can be given to you, you just need to change the username, but I prefer not for you to learn too so that next time you can go to that folder without looking for the direct link.

By the way, have you looked here: https://www.bitcoinarmory.com/troubleshooting/ - just disregard this as HCP said
305  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: FreelanceForCoins.com on: March 04, 2019, 01:58:55 AM
Wanted to check it out, but the site can’t be reached in my end. I don't have an internet connection problem so it's weird that it's up based on https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/freelanceforcoins.com but can't access it.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I sold my Litecoin twice on Cryptopia on: March 04, 2019, 12:29:16 AM
Are you feeling a bit guilty by any chance because you took advantage of cryptopia's buggy site at that moment?

Cryptopia will be accessible as read only so you can't do anything still. When they open their exchange fully again, it's for you to decide whether to give it back or keep it. I prefer that you give it back, but we are all different, it's still up to you. Tbh, if I was in the same situation back then, I would have thought of reporting the bug to Cryptopia first before anything else.
307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS! DON'T GET SCAMMED! WARNING WARNING! on: March 03, 2019, 03:25:10 AM
First, you should read all the pinned posts here in the forum before using it. For Digital Goods, you should have read "Avoid auto-buy links, mainly locked or self moderated. Register before dealing".

Second, do a research about the seller and much better if you'll communicate here in the forum (not outside). Always demand an escrow (choose a trusted one) and if the seller don't want an escrow, don't deal with him.

Third,  scam is not moderated here in the forum. Moderators will give negative trust to scammers if proven, but will not ban their account. They are letting people to do their research and decide whether to make a deal or not.

Be extra careful next time!
308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scam site - do not use! on: March 03, 2019, 12:01:59 AM
Your post is appreciated. You won't know, it might save some newbies in the coming days.

It was unfortunate that you fell on their trick, but at least now you've got an idea on how this kind of site works. Next time, you must check first before sending any amount online.

On the bottom left part of this page you'll see a move topic option. This kind of topic is really posted on Scam Accusations board, but I was thinking too if it should be moved on Beginners and Help instead, as a warning to newbies because mostly they are the ones who fall for this scams.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HCC (health care chain) ?.? on: March 02, 2019, 11:39:29 PM
I wonder when have you seen this listed on Binance, because it wasn't there already.

Looking for discussion? Mostly it starts on the ANN thread, though it's funny how the announcement topic was made last 2017: [HCC]HealthCareChain Official Thread on Bitcointalk and ofcourse it was abandoned.
310  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange - Started to Implement KYC to Users on: March 01, 2019, 12:58:06 PM
Nova exchange never has been my favourite exchange. Now with KYC, I probably will delete them from all my next transaction.
If someone checked, is it KYC obligatory for all or it's possible to use this exchange but with limited withdrawal?
You should be level 2 verified to continue using the site. For more info, refer to the screenshot below ↓

311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: scam site reporting: qr code convert https://bitcoinqrcodegenerator.win/qr3.php on: February 28, 2019, 11:55:51 PM
This is an example of what's happening:
1. I copy my BTC address
2. I paste it in their site and click GENERATE
3. Booom! It automatically change the address I paste to 32ueQev4wTXHmWGpR1GkTVfhABdw1xeBrf
4. IMPORTANT: Not only that, my address which I copied was changed to that address too (double kill if you'll just paste again that address without checking and make a transaction)

Another thing, when I used it for ethereum, I saved the code and surprised that I got bitcoin qr code with their address. That was pretty obvious and nobody will fall for that, however, not the same case when someone generates a bitcoin qr code and didn't check. Here's the address I got when I generate eth qr code (there are several incoming transactions): https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1MjyQCJntvFDRptG7jq3UUUWyJUQ49kPK7

Always be extra careful and don't forget to double check everything!

EDIT: I've tried the website just to test. Not saying that this site is legit, but it seems to be showing the correct QR code(both the QR code displayed, and the QR code downloaded) as the address I've entered. Only tried it once though.
It is selective. There are times that it shows the right address and other times a wrong address. Have been discussed here too before.
312  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 28, 2019, 11:46:07 PM

User to coins.ph, coins.ph to Security bank and vice versa

314  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange - Started to Implement KYC to Users on: February 27, 2019, 03:07:33 AM
I'm former Nova Exchange too, but I have moved all my assets before they closed their service long time ago. A bit surprise indeed when I heard that they are coming back, but this KYC thing for an exchange is a common procedure these days. I havent checked my email that I used for my old nova account, but is it alive already? Do old nova user need to create new account or we can use the old account on the new site?
The website has not been closed literally. It remained open and trades didn't stop, they just disabled new registrations and deposits while working on migration to new owners.

They opened again last December. Former users don't need to create a new account, old account is still working (just like mine). However, as said above exceptions for old users will be expired. If you plan to use the site again, just be ready for KYC as they can request it anytime.

Oh and in addition, the new owners provided a new TOS (I remember accepting new TOS before).
315  Economy / Exchanges / Nova Exchange - Started to Implement KYC to Users on: February 26, 2019, 12:46:36 PM
I was a former Nova Exchange user. I still check the exchange from time to time because I had a great experience before, though I haven't had recent transactions/trades. Yesterday, I received an email from support@novaexchange.com (quoted below)

Quote
IMPORTANT: To Old Friends of Nova Exchange, verifying personal information. Exception to expire over time.

Dearest Customer,

Nova Exchange is growing by the hundreds every day. It's great!

Still, we always want to take particularly good care, and be of service to you who has been with us from the beginning.

Over the last few months the accounts of Nova-Old-Friends have been subject to an exception concerning the need to verify personal information. Over the coming weeks we will begin to repeal these exceptions. You will be notified personally with a date when your exception is about to expire.

By dealing with this, you will be able to keep using your account with no restrictions whatsoever.

You are among our most valued customers. The ones who have been with us for a LONG time.

We want to get this process going with you, so that we can give you the most attention and personal assistance, should you need it.

It is a very good idea to get your information verified right away.

Here is a short video explaining the process: PLAY

And here is where to start the verification: LET’S GO

Get in touch if you have any questions.

Team Nova

Well, just want to give a heads up for those who have not checking their email and have coins/tokens in the site, especially the old users. If you're not willing to do KYC, better move out of the exchange as early as possible since they have not given YET an exact date of expiration.
316  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 14-Feb-2019] on: February 26, 2019, 09:48:45 AM
They didn't stopped, they just open for new participants and again in the 3rd week they are paying in BTC (1st week BTC, 2nd week XRP)
I'm aware of that (remember that signature campaigns paying in alts aren't listed here). What I mean exactly is they stopped the BTC paying campaign, closed the thread and re-opened it again. That's the reason I posted here, so that it will be added again in the table.

318  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum sending coins elsewhere on: February 25, 2019, 04:39:47 PM
The latest version is only Electrum-3.3.4
It's unfortunate that you've not been aware of the malware and lost your coins. Always check the URL if it's the official site and verify the signature of the wallet.

Read more here about the phishing attack: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/4968
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware from this malware. on: February 25, 2019, 12:09:33 AM
Good thing that there's a noticeable difference in one glance. If ever your friend's address starts in 1 as well and you're not cautious, you might have been a victim.

And always double check addresses before sending any transaction.
Double/triple checking the recipient address will always be the best thing to do, people should make this a habit even without knowing about this malware.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: deposit problem on bittrex exchange on: February 24, 2019, 11:42:08 PM
How many MOC have you deposited? If it's more than 0.1 MOC (which I assume), it should be visible in your account. I did more checking, as I checked https://international.bittrex.com/Status (for wallet statuses), I found out the MOC wallet has NO Active connections. High possibility that it's the reason why your balance isn't showing up in your account.
