301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized vs centralized cryptocurrency exchanges, which one is better? on: February 14, 2019, 09:52:35 PM
on a personal level i prefer decentralized exchanges that can not be controlled, influenced by anyone, hybrid exchanges i do not like them at all, centralized exchanges could be good for beginners as long as the kyc is optional and not mandatory...
I heard few decentralized exchanges also started enforcing KYC. What we are calling as decentralized exchange is not purely a decentralized platform for ensuring all the freedom and concepts of decentralization but the part of having control on our privatekey alone made many people to believe into those exchanges as decentralized one.

I also personally like decentralized exchanges but I guess the chances of hacking and locking out funds or stealing privatekey of our deposit addy are still possible with currently available decentralized exchanges too.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Rewards- Stakes based or fixed tokens allocation based on: February 14, 2019, 09:31:09 PM
Now a days I am seeing many projects are running their bounty program not with stakes based but with fixed tokens allocation for each campaign per week.
I see, from bounty Hunter's perspective not good reward system as we receive less tokens. Even though the number of participants are less, there is no chance to get higher rewards, which is possible with stakes based allocation.
What are your views on this?
Then I guess we need to imagine like we are participating in a campaign where more people are also competing with us. This way you never need to worry on fixed token allocation on weekly basis.

I guess every managers are having some unique idea to save better for their clients and this sounds like a latest innovations for not paying small group of bounty participants too the same allocated tokens. Seems a good idea as this may help heavy dumps from few investors.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 No Bull Run, the Bull is Sleeping on: February 14, 2019, 08:51:50 PM
I think altcoin price will rise again but do not know when it will happen , mabe in the middle or late 2019 .
Then it will be right as OP is mentioning the current period as bull is sleeping. We are all expecting something different market condition at least in 2019 but we are not having any difference from 2018.

But I'm also sure, before the end of this year we are going to have bitcoin above $10k levels. The recent time bull market of bitcoin is a good indication for that. But, it lasted only for few days but I'm sure it will happen again and that will last up to $4000+ levels.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: porn/sex industry and cryptocurrency on: February 14, 2019, 08:16:49 PM
Cryptocurrencies are capable of supporting any industry regardless of it will be adult-only based or not. I have seen many porn based ICOs got success in the past and currently also many projects are running based on this concepts. Moreover, porn contents are always attracting more people world wide hence chances for success for such ICO is always more.

Sexycam is one recent ICO which was based on porn contents. I remember they had BTC based signature campaign also (Please correct me if I am wrong).
305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction about BTC price!!! on: February 14, 2019, 08:00:22 PM
Prediction about the price of bitcoin had been very difficult due to its high volatility and momentum in fact price of btc do defies technical analysis its most often align with fundamental news recalled when ATH was attained at $20K  in 2007 speculations was rife that the price will reach $50K which prompted a lot of newbies investors buying at that price however those predictions proved wrong.
It may be difficult for me too in short-term but I'm sure it will be having values million by next decade.

By 2030, bitcoin may value in millions. Please do not ask for technical support for my speculation but I am speculating based on how many people will be are adopting worldwide and how many governments will be legalizing bitcoin transactions by that times and more importantly supply of bitcoins by that times.

306  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: Did we hit the bottom? on: February 14, 2019, 07:13:27 PM
I believe the low of ~$3280 might remain the low for the year 2018 and 2019 and low for 2020 may be around $8k levels.

Yes, we are going to have up trend slowly ans the recent bull run up to $3600 levels is the proof for market may not break the low any more.

By any chance (like any sudden bad news similar to exchange hacks etc), we may break the $3000 levels too but definitely the day candle will not close with less than $3000 levels. So, we are into rising markets literally and sustaining above $4k levels may confirm this.
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: anybody buying some Bitcoin lately? on: February 14, 2019, 06:35:16 PM
I’m always buying bitcoin with what I can afford to. These cheap prices won’t last forever, you need to buy what you can now Smiley
I bought some satoshi and invest in other cheap altcoins because I believe when bitcoin started to recover those coins will also start to recover too.  Now bitcoin is extremely cheap and it might takes many years again before we see another cheap price again if the next bull start.
Why you did not keep your investments within bitcoins ? I guess you are taking unnecessary risks.

I mean when bitcoin itself too cheaper, I guess just investing within bitcoin itself will be highly profitable in coming months whereas altcoin investments may return you some big money or may not. It would be much better if we keep sticking with calculated risk levels. This way I believe bitcoin is having less risk compared to any altcoins.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: Each country has its own crypto currency! on: February 14, 2019, 05:30:41 PM
I don’t see any need for them to be doing that, it’s going to look stupid. Anyway, if they do, there is going to be a big competition between all of them in the market as each one of them will be fighting to be the best in the market. But countries shouldn’t be talking about Cryptocurrency, there are more important things to focus on and cryptocurrency is never one of them.
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: The decline has slowed down, the bears are still dominant on: February 14, 2019, 04:25:36 PM
Does anyone know if what they are saying it is true about the price of Bitcoin dropping again in February and March ?

I’ve been seeing some people saying that on Twitter that price is still going to drop in February till March ?

Is it best for us to sell our Bitcoins and maybe wait to see what happens then or just confine to hold ? I need an answer please, and thanks.  Previously, I was hoping for positive trends from the beginning of 2019 but even after 45 days in 2019, I am seeing no improvements.
310  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: February 14, 2019, 03:12:03 PM
Ever since I got into cryptocurrency, I have never had time for most of these medias. I just focus on my own, although some times I do check what they have to say. But when it comes to trying to discourage me, nah, I never agree to that. Cryptocurrency has helped me a lot of and I’ve reached a level I never expected to reach, even if it ends today, I’m still good. As for now, I’m not going call it a quit.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges manipulation. Can't withdraw during the pump. on: February 14, 2019, 02:49:59 PM
I don’t really know why you newbies choose to be making use of exchanges that has no reputation.

I don’t even know about this exchange you have mentioned. But anyway, if you were giving information earlier on that the platform is about to undergo some maintenance, why then did you choose to trade during the time for maintenance ?

You should have had patience till they are done. If you’re trading during time to maintenance you’re likely to lose your money, period!
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: February 14, 2019, 12:46:13 PM
~snip~
It's always better to use gambling as a form of entertainment so we can enjoy the game without worry from losing all the money.
Good advice and I would also do this advise to my friends in real life and even in this forum because I already
know the effect of gambling and that is based on my experience, it's hard to win, we will only loss in the long run and that is the reality.
I think that these are only fiction and nothing else. In real life when we visit a casino, I think that it is difficult to find a single person there, who is there to play gambling for fun and entertainment, I think that most of the people either they are rich or poor, they play gambling only for making money, despite the fact that it is too much difficult to make money from gambling.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: February 14, 2019, 12:27:41 PM
-snip-
In fact there are so many reason and issues which are attracting the young people toward gambling. I think that in modern cities it’s a fashion, as they have a lot of money and they can easily afford to lose a good amount of money, which they only get as their pocket money.

On other side, in backward countries where the youngster become disappointed after wondering for getting job, they reach to casino to applying their luck and so they become addicted and always trying to make big money with less effort.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are There Many Projects Like This? on: February 13, 2019, 01:08:45 PM
Most projects just try to make money. The idea that they offer is already in another project. But even in this version, if everything is properly organized, the project will be able to bring profit to its investors. But for this you need to make a lot of effort.
Everybody here is wanting to make money. All the projects are being created for making money but it should be from achieving the real goal of the project and should not be by just attracting investors during ICO phase. I mean an ICO may go for making money by keep attracting investors by proving their solutions but scammy people are cheating investors and dumping their tokens once they reach exchanges.

I guess when we will be having some regulating initiative by this community, those scammy people may find hard time and then we may have healthier environments here.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of the crypto market. on: February 13, 2019, 11:56:22 AM
Do you think that so far the crypto market has experienced significant growth? Where do you see it? Are you going to invest this month by buying some cheap altcoins?
Significant growth in what time period you are referring ? In last 12 to 14 months of periods, the crypto space was into negative growth. Not just this month, I have been into buying mode more in this negative markets as I was expecting markets to bounce back at any time. I also will buy more this month also and I may keep doing until bitcoin may test $10k levels.

I think 2019 might be the last year bitcoin will be this cheap ,those who don't buy now will regret
Compared to 2018, bitcoins are available comparatively cheaper prices in 2019 still I agree this may be the last chances to buy bitcoins for less than $4000 or $5000 levels as bitcoin markets may bounce back at any time toward $6500 levels.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the large variety of Altcoins hurting the market? on: February 13, 2019, 11:24:26 AM
You could make the argument that if all of the capital in crypto only had to be spread across 50 coins that that would make each of those coins extremely more valuable.  In light of that thought, is the huge variety of Altcoins ultimately a good or bad thing for crypto?
There was a discussion in our main speculation board about how these many altcoins indirectly hurting the growth of bitcoins. That was about how altcoins are misguiding investors and how it was impacting the value of bitcoins negatively.

Now, you are also stating similar thing like large variety of altcoins is good for diversification purposes but definitely bad for individual coins' growth.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency entirely dedicated to GAMBLING? on: February 12, 2019, 08:21:35 PM

i would like to see and use an altcoin entirely dedicated to gambling with maybe transfers and immediate credits and fixed value (stable coin)
One bitcoin = one bitcoin and there are some services which are trying to help you get BTC across various gambling sites almost instantly. I mean you can enjoy your gambling with bitcoin itself and there are few specialized services you need to have so that you can get all your preferred features and facilities.

I am always against having separate coin for separate applications. We all need just one or few coins and all our gambling requirements may be incorporated within them at higher possible efficiency too.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: February 12, 2019, 06:37:38 PM
If you can continue balancing your activities and not to go deeper inside gambling, your mindset will keep you safe from addictions, as the term itself is uncontrolled activities that will lead you to playing back, with your current status you are Still free but take a little closer to yourself as things can change without your noticed.
I agree that going deeper inside gambling is the reason why we are going for gambling more frequently and then getting addicted with it. When we are able to control our gambling activities like not frequently gambling then we can stay safer without getting addicted.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the inconveniences you experience with crypto related gamble projects. on: February 12, 2019, 05:22:29 PM
Wish the question was "advantages and disadvantages of Decentralized gambling platform over the centralized gambling."
I expect people to use the decentralized ones for obvious reasons but it seems no one cares too much.
I believe people will understand the benefits of having a decentralized system very slowly. Moreover, gamblers are known for sticking with what they actually got practice to. So, we cannot expect them to switch over in quick time but I believe they will definitely move over to where they will be having the most comfortable and convenient environment.

We are seeing the success of decentralized exchanges but centralized exchanges are still persisting on its own way to find success. Similarly I believe both centralized and decentralized way of gambling will be finding its their own ways to entertain all of us.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 12, 2019, 03:20:09 PM
Westbrook with 10 triple doubles in a row! And PG also had a triple double which makes 10th time a team had 2 players with td in the same game. They are playing defense amazingly this year and their offense flows much better with PG on the team.

I don't know how viable this team will be in playoffs since they only have 2 great scorers and unless some other player has a career night it will be just defending Westbrook and pg for the other team. Westbrook broke Wilts record of consecutive td in a row with his 10th game, anytime any player breaks Wilts any record it is a huge accomplishment, he has so many that we talk about the second place most of the time.

I think there are just couple more records left that could potentially be impossible to break, stocktons assist and steals are number one because it took him 19 years of little to no injury to reach there, players do not play that much anymore and they sit out constantly. The other one is pretty obvious, 48.5 minutes a game by Wilt, dude played all games and all overtimes all the time, the game is 48 minute long so there is no chance anyone plays 48.5 minute a game.
