This is PSA video I did this weekend concerning the BFL Bitforce SC Singles.  We are recommending you replace the OEM power supply as soon as possible due to being a potential fire concern.

What voltage do these thing run on and what kind of plug do you need?

They run on the standard 110-120volts, and it comes with a special 3-prong cords that plugs into a normal residential wall socket.

Duh.  I mean what comes out the other side of that power supply and what kind of wattage requirements does it have?  Is it 12 volts like most of the other BYO PSU ASICs?

Yeah, a couple PCI-E connectors that I assume are 12 volt rails.

These things are long known to be a fire hazard, since day one of them shipping(First hand experience too). Your lucky to get more than a few weeks out of them.  What's with the sudden post?

It may have been mentioned but I wanted to show evidence and make sure people knew.  Have one almost blow up in your face and you may want to warn a few people to hopefully save a fire or two Smiley   I have known they burn out but the fire and exploding inside was new to me.   Thats all.

Question for Admin:   Just so I am not just assuming, you consolidated the custom hardware and mining into a single category called "Mining"?    Pleas advise and thanks!

I took mine apart to see what was going wrong a long time ago.  The 3 main caps and main fuse going into the PCB are blowing- creating the white powder.

I know what your saying, I had a small cap fall out as well.   I had one almost blowout in my face.

Can someone link to setup instructions for accessing the device and manually configuring cgminer.    In the future, any company selling hardware needs a support thread that has information for setting it up, you really do your customers a dis-service noting having that ready.  Thanks.
P.S. I tried to SSH into the IP on the LCD screen and it is not accessible.

Figured it out and here is a video I made for the 1TH Dragon Miner.

Nice, thanks.

So, what are your impressions now that you have tested the dragon?

Damn fine units overall.   Only grip I have is the lack of a dedicated support thread or English setup instruction in the box AND the case being taller than 4U.

ahahha, please tell me your not serious? you couldn't have just made a post stressing about the importance of basic math fundamentals in business logic and then claimed all we own is 50 units from bitmine. ahahahahaaa, btw, is that your bot that just got turned on?

Let me ask you something. You REALLY BELIEVE in 770 TH in two weeks?? now with 150 TH and ordered more 18 TH?

and yes of course i want to buy cheap and sell on a high.

770TH is really pushing it.   We can do like 350TH in 7 days but that is with serious professionals and Data-center already prepped.   Just opening boxes and cutting cables and labeling with take a serious amount of time.  FYI, just want to give some expert opinions for people.

Thanks for the vid. It doesn't sound overly loud, do you think it is quieter than running 5-6 ants?

Its about the same, different tone/pitch, but just as loud.

Agreed.  They are loud but not like a Cointerra or Avalon.
317  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 1TH Dragon Miner from IKETC - ASIC Miner Unboxing, Config and Performance Video on: March 26, 2014, 05:27:35 PM
Does your machine have 5 boards? A 1000 Watt supply running at 1100 is pretty much giving it a very short lifespan if run 24/7. I noticed your cable is much heavier than mine, is it warm to the touch? I might replace the supply with something higher if they are indeed running that much above spec.

According to my pictures I took, it has 4 asic blades in the unit.   The cable is 12 gauge I believe and was not warm to touch.

I will double check the PSU rating.  I need to open the case to see.

Very informative!

If you don't mind me asking, this are the ones from http://www.lketc.com/ right? If you don't mind me asking was delivery included or extra?

Thank you, I hope people enjoy these.  Yes, these are from that website.  I will ask my client and get back to you.  Shipping took only 5 days so I assume that portion was extra.  DHL didn't invoice me for customs when I picked them up.
