301  Economy / Gambling / provably fair is good but i have a question about random source(s) on: February 03, 2016, 06:20:14 PM
i think i can understand how provably fair works , but i guess there is not
enough to prove fairness of a game , you see this all provably-fair thing
just proves that the next outcome is not changeable on the fly.

but how about next result ? is it random enough or just it is uknown for the client?
you see even if a user changes his/her client seed that is known to the server
but server keeping its seed well hidden otherwise cheating will be piece of cake

and we talk about seeds here ,noone so far talks about real random sources
a seed from a good random generator is almost as good but IT IS predictable.

it is predictable for the server and in that case result is known and in that case
what keeps the HOUSE owners to just change 1-2 results when they like ?

even if server advance with nonce its seed , since the whole function is
of course business secret , there is no way to prove fairness there.

i welcome site owners and programmers to respond with a reasonable answer.

//EDIT #1 as title says but i have a question about random source(s)
i am talking about WHO or WHAT decides future results , the current result is not the issue
if a player plays just 10-20 rolls without autobet the whole thing is fair enough but
for longer sessions most of us are keep playing some favorite patterns so even our
decisions are close to be known to an evil enough game server.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: February 03, 2016, 09:10:55 AM
some of us we can read and understand whats going on around bitcoin but
average people need just simplicity in their lifes .

i was around computers since AppleII and when mobile phones came
i just bought the simplest one and kept it for about 14 years LOL.

young people are more adventurous with their life and always love to
have new things but still they have their interests and all other things
need to be simple enough to make them want to use them.

fact is bitcoin right now is not simple enough and things coming are even
more dificult to keep people use it, too many questions ,too much drama
about blockchains,BIPs etc - it is a bit ironic but most simple people
want bitcoin behave just like flat money does !

but bitcoin is very diferent , give it 3-20 years and if it still alive will be
what next generation will use as money ,flat will go to history books soon

303  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: January 25, 2016, 01:15:15 PM
So far I was not really lucky some found tactics did not help me so far. Could be bad luck or terrible tactics.

In gambling mostly all those tactics will now work for long time but we need some luck to win money in gambling. It is not you have terrible tactics so just play for fun and some time if your lucky you may win some big money. You can try sports betting there game is not fully depends on luck but still need some luck to win the bet.
i agree with you with this  I tried different methods on dice and ended up having a big loss , there is no perfect tactics/methods that will work in everyone its purely luck and matter of the mind  , since then i bet on sport betting which give me higher chance of win that provably fair games.

In dice game surely no tricks will work for sure. This game is purely depends on luck and only luck can bring any one money from dice game otherwise site will be the winner for sure.

As you said in sports betting we have some chances to win because there no house edge but still need some luck to win bets.

are you sure there is no house edge in sports betting ? i think you must learn a bit more about the game you play or promote my friend.
when making a sports book there is allways a margin (house edge) in any kind of such games - bookmakers are still like casino owners but they just offer a diferent game -.-

during some hours after i wrote what im quoting below some members here were
busy enough to recycle older messages of this thread , the reason i quote it here
is to make it available for reading ,comment this and give me some reason to
continue writing here . forget a bit your valuable post counts for a while.
no need to re-quote such lengthy post ,i know how "kill a thread" tricks work  Huh

from now on i will try to share some thoughts about the dice game
since it is the most available in the bitcoin/altcoin gambling sites

i see threads and many questions about strategies for dice but very
few posters explaining with simple way what each strategy aims for
and how or when is most apropriate to use it . you already may notice
some days your favorite strategy doesnt work at all for hours

the reason for that is what we call "variance" plus the fact that all
strategies can win but they also can fail depending at sequences of
random numbers . luck still is a major factor but not the only one

some factors most of you cant really thought about are following:

A. minimum bet, maximum bet and bet increment
--------------------------------------------
gambling little amounts can be fun without the pain of losing big.
real world casinos have to pay many employes working at tables
so they often set minimum chip values from 1$ or even more
internet sites however and thank god bitcoin sites due to lower
running costs can set minimum bet very low ,even at 1 satoshi
if you plan to have daily bankrolls less than 100k satoshis then
you need to find a site with lowest minimum bet posible

maximum bets in real life casinos are high enough but in reality
not that high vs minimum bets is around 100-200 min bets high
again is good that bitcoin casinos have 1000s or even millions
times bigger the maximum vs minimum bet, a reasonable max payout
of 2-5 BTC must be what you are looking for Smiley
note for high rollers with daily bankrolls up to 5Btc is ok too
bigger than that is not bad but for most cases it can hurt you
if you dream so high you will bet more and you will play less
*if you win it will be great of course but if you lose you may
kill your entire bank account within the day LOL.

bet increment must be equal or less than min bet ,that is
because plenty of systems for dice games need to increase or
decrease that bet even with steps of 1% ,rounding effects
can make many such systems unplayable otherwise
*for altcoins with little value decimal points are great too

---to be continued---

307  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: January 22, 2016, 09:59:33 AM
I think faucets are like free small samples some companies sharing to try their products.

Of course there is no bitcoin company behind them  Grin but it is people running some
banners or advertising or even promoting their site , same deal almost.

But some poor people over all world hunting free samples systematicaly.
there are people claiming they eat only from tickets and freebies ...  Cheesy
to do that with faucets it sounds very optimistic however , but perhaps
for some persistent persons with some referals it can be a free lunch/week?

I dont think it is bad for bitcoin ecosystem the existance of faucets.
ANY USE of any altcoin at least keeping it ALIVE after all !

308  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: January 17, 2016, 07:08:03 PM
I believe there are 2 different kinds of luck. Imagine someone walking down the street and he finds a lottery ticket on the ground, decides to take it and incredibly enough, he wins the lottery, now thats PURE LUCK.

Now imagine someone who buys 10 lottery tickets everyday and he eventually wins the lottery, now that's someone who is ''pushing'' his luck, he is doing something in the first place to even be able to be lucky, now this can be applied anywhere in real life.

excellent post !! you nailed it , at least i love and agree on what you wrote Smiley

i can add only one thing , gambling for the fun of it is not about how big you win or lose is about what
odds you can beat , at least for me that is.  Grin
309  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: January 17, 2016, 05:16:51 PM

310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: January 16, 2016, 11:25:15 AM
you gamble enough in life , when you cheat your wife , when you read 20 only out of 300 pages of
your next test in school , when you walk in a road with many uknown/scary people ,when you open
a new shop/bussines , when you dive in the sea/pool with full stomach etc etc  Roll Eyes

some people just need a bit more , so they gamble in games - whats wrong with that ? NOTHING.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: January 15, 2016, 09:29:10 PM
gambling its not wrong, it is just an option we have in our life to waste useless money and time
take it as entertainement , but just pay a reasonable ticket and not all your available money  Grin
312  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Double your btc in 48 hours! on: January 13, 2016, 01:20:09 PM
Simply posted an address and said send me money basically, you have to at least make a website unless you are like a hero member or above running the program.

i see many threads like that in this forum ...
is really anyone can send money to those people ?

but i guess there is always stupid enough people to buy many scam-products
television advertising every day or play to tv games with phone$ !

Grin nice thread to increase by 1 my post count ,really it is !
314  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: January 11, 2016, 12:50:06 PM
reason for this post is very simple :

i try days now to find a thread to post something relative but the whole forum
look a bit dead , perhaps people with interests for altcoins have something to talk
but i dont care a lot about that , so i will post here my news for the fun of it.

NEWS : there are no news other than my last good win of PLAYmoney !
heh the whole sum of 2mil playmoney converted to 60.000 satoshis yay
after that nothing really great , next update when i have a good screenshot.

/im playing for FUN - im playing for FUN ... counting sheeps : 23,24..339,340/
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: January 08, 2016, 10:39:21 PM
ride a bike, listen some music, take your dog for a walk ,watch a movie or something Smiley

but wait ! i have good time when im gambling since i never treat game chips like money !

if you can pay a reasonable ticket-like to enter a gamble you like then dont stop !

if you cant pay your bills then try to find a low-payed job to keep you away from your computer Rofl.

316  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: January 08, 2016, 11:15:10 AM
 Grin

no news right now , i have a bad streak  Angry so i cant post new examples

how about someone from you all post a good winning streak instead ?

//talk you all later//

318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new generation of encryption that would change the world... and bitcoin on: December 29, 2015, 06:11:10 PM
actually what OP said is posible but not efficient ...

in order to compress sequences of raw data you may use a dictionary like table and address to key numbers (hashes)
parts of those sequences , then is posible to present a little file with reference to all data ...

but then a new problem arises , tables for such references will be bigger than the original file !!! Smiley
if sender and receiver already have the dictionary then they are able to transfer those compressed files

programs available in the market doing that kind of 'magik' to compress with good ratios already.
some sequences are frequent in text, images and such , those programs have a well-tuned dictionary
in order to compress more those programs will need even TB of help dictionary files ROFL

happy holidays to all and best wishes for 2016 as well Smiley

** but title is misleading - encryption actually making more data and save nothing but provides safety.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays for you all Smiley

may the New Year 2016 bring happiness and some BTC to your wallets ..

gambling is like walking randomly on a line starting with zero and exceeding to infinity
in our short lifes we are doomed to end all of our walks on this line near enough to zero
but we can still get fun from the trip !
