I don't think that you need to trade your bitcoin for waves. Waves is of course good coin but bitcoin is too valuable to dump and buy just another altcoin in my opinion. That's it.

Price pumps at first release are merely speculations. Initial coin price is generally decided first by regular supply and demand at first, then speculation hits price jumps. But in general people directly go into bear psychology start dumping after rise.
