301  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: January 10, 2014, 11:04:19 PM
Found a new one today. As far as I can see it has not been mentioned in this thread. Used it with CoinBase address and already got paid.

http://www.freebtcbay.com/fac.php

Prizes from 1000 to 2750, 1 hour between dispenses. Cash out at 20000. 15% referral bonus.

If anybody would like to create link chain, you can use this address http://www.freebtcbay.com/fac.php/?id=4687

Although the site claims to have a high enough balance to pay out, this is the error I got when I tried:
Quote
The site does not have enough coins to pay out! No balance deducted.
302  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FREE BITCOIN Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto on: December 27, 2013, 04:20:42 PM

I don't use any of these gambling sites. I was told that one can get free Bitcoin there, and withdraw it, without having to gamble there. If this is not the case then I will remove Seals from the list.

Can anyone else confirm that one has to gamble to get BTC at seals?

Confirmed. You only get free credits to play, and only those that win the tournament get the pot, which can then be withdrawn.

I have added extra check to reduce synchronization error rate, please look how it works now!
I tested over a two day period and I only ran into the problem once now, so much better. Thanks!
304  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: November 30, 2013, 02:28:53 AM
It happens to me maybe 2-3 times a day, so that's way over 0.01%.
Did you clicked "Send" button within 2 minutes after quote appeared? If not, prizes gone to another users exactly as described in FAQ.
Yes, I submit between 15-30 seconds after getting the quote. And I'm not counting the times when the site is really slow and can take 1-2 minutes to serve the initial request, let alone process the submit.
305  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: November 29, 2013, 07:36:08 PM
I think there's a bug where the site sometimes shows one of the non-booby prizes to more than one person and only the first person to submit gets it and the others get the booby prize. This has happened to me many times, and even once while in a chat with somebody else who got the same prize as me at the same time, but he filled out the captcha first and got the credit. That person confirmed the same had happened to him a couple of times in the past. Maybe this problem is occurring more often because of the site's recent burst in traffic.
It is a known issue which causes incorrect prize display (you see a non-booby prize on the image, however it was already taken by someone else and therefore you receive booby prize in fact).
This database synchronization problem emerge very rarely, less than 0.01% of cases during extreme peak load time. Unfortunately Daily Bitcoins is just hobbyist project so I cannot afford installing real-time computing system that being used in fault-tolerant appliances like aviation and nuclear power plants. If you was affected, please sorry for the inconvenience!

list updated...
It would be more helpful to mention what changed on the list. The list isn't that small and trying to figure out what changed can be a challenge.
308  Economy / Marketplace / Re: HotSwap's BTC Faucet - Please help me test out this faucet on: November 21, 2013, 05:29:53 AM
Attempting to cash out results in this error:
Quote
An error has occured - This transaction requires a 0.0002 fee to be accepted by the bitcoin network. Do you want to add it? (This fee does not go to Coinbase.)

Whats your ID #?
The only id I see is in the referral link, and that's #3.

Have you tried cashing out since hitting the 30,000 mark?

Yup, just tried and got the same error.

For some reason transactions are taking much longer to confirm today. It should arrive in your account within a day I think.
Your transactions were larger than 1000 bytes, but you only included a fee of 0.0001. According to https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_Fee#Sending , you need to add 0.0001 per thousand bytes.
312  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet 2.0 Released! * No House Edge Raffles * 5 Wheels of Fortune! Come & Play on: November 15, 2013, 08:57:00 PM
Looks like the server is now misconfigured. After my browser passes the cloudflare check, the request gets handed off to the peerbet server which infinitely redirects.

Edit: bit777.com is still working fine, so the site isn't down just because of the DDoS now.
313  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: November 12, 2013, 05:06:18 AM
Is dailybitcoins still able to transfer to peerbet after they switched to a new backend today? The payments page says prizes were paid, but they didn't show up in peerbet.
314  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FREE BITCOIN Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto on: November 11, 2013, 08:03:15 PM
My PeerBet withdraw method is enabled once again and works just fine with the new API Wink
I keep getting an "Invalid account!" error. Sometimes it's also displayed as {"status":0,"message":"Invalid account!"}, so it looks like a peerbet api issue.

The high scores look really suspicious. I bet they are cheating using this simple method: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/477258/how-to-cheat-and-avoid-cheating-in-flash-games

Surprisingly I couldn't find a good reference (like forum, wiki, blog post) to link to. But you can see it in the bitcoin source here: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/src/core.h#L148
Code:
// "Dust" is defined in terms of CTransaction::nMinRelayTxFee,
        // which has units satoshis-per-kilobyte.
// If you'd pay more than 1/3 in fees
// to spend something, then we consider it dust.
// A typical txout is 34 bytes big, and will
// need a CTxIn of at least 148 bytes to spend,
// so dust is a txout less than 54 uBTC
// (5460 satoshis) with default nMinRelayTxFee
317  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Faucet where you can get upto 1 BTC every hour **NEW PROMO** on: November 05, 2013, 07:00:02 PM
** WEBSITE UPDATE SUMMARY **
3) The minimum payout is now 5,431 satoshi's (0.00005431 BTC). This was done to prevent the creation of non-standard transactions in the blockchain which take ages to confirm and sometimes do not confirm at all. If your account balance has atleast 5,431 satoshi's on Monday and you have selected Auto-Withdraw, it will be moved to pending payouts and sent to your Bitcoin address within a couple of days. After it moves to pending and before you receive it, you can cancel the payout and get the Bitcoins added to your balance.
Apparently the dust limit is actually 5460, not the oft-quoted 5430.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why doesn't this transaction get included? on: November 04, 2013, 05:51:55 PM
You can also specifically add nodes for miners that indiscriminately include any transactions, regardless of the dust limit:

I gotta say bitcoininformation that I hate that puzzle slider thing one must solve in order to get a payout.
Just when I just about have all the pieces in their proper places it either randomly shuffles them around
or it times out.   Angry

I have been avoiding your site recently due to the time it takes to get a payout...

I agree, an annoying puzzle and a captcha is too much for ~100 satoshi.

Well I find the puzzle fun, nice change instead of just writing captcha.

But I agree, the payout is small
The puzzle OR catpcha would be ok, but puzzle PLUS captcha is annoying. But it looks like the peerbet account is exhausted, so no more instant payouts. And the blockchain payout transactions for the last couples of days aren't even confirming.

Edit: even worse than I remembered: puzzle, then you have to click to dismiss alert box, then the captcha. And the captcha only accepts uppercase letters, unlike most other captchas on the web. Enter lowercase or get it wrong and you have to refresh the entire page and go through the whole process again. Too annoying on too many fronts.
320  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin social network on: October 13, 2013, 06:02:21 PM
Since you're aware of previous attempts at the same idea, do some research into why they didn't work: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Abitcointalk.org+bitcoinsocially. That would give you an idea if future attempts would run into the same problems.

How about a site that would allow users to enhance their trust rating from http://bitcoin-otc.com/.
