301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: September 27, 2023, 03:37:59 PM
It's important to prioritize and not spread your funds too thin, as it can lead to faster losses. Dividing your focus between many games will increase your chances of losing. But it's just my opinion. Some talented people with ample funds and a solid strategy can make multiple bets simultaneously.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 26, 2023, 07:23:55 PM
I'm not aware that you can use your credit cards for gambling. I hope our country prohibits casinos from offering this feature, as it could increase debt among many people. Even if they allow it in our country, most people don't have good credit scores to have this kind of debt. Credit cards are a double-edged sword as they can lead to debt even if not used for gambling. What's more, in gambling use.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 26, 2023, 08:21:07 AM
So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

I understand your perspective. From my observation in our local community, many adolescents play cards after seeing their parents or guardians play. Some even start playing before reaching adolescence. Children often imitate adults, so setting a good example and discouraging negative behaviors like gambling is important.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: September 26, 2023, 06:29:18 AM
Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?
A successful gambler follows strict rules and has practical strategies for winning, whereas an addict does not. Even though they have the common of losing sometimes, the addicted gambler doesn't know how to stop betting, and sometimes they bet even their houses, cars, properties, etc., until they become broke. I watched some of the vloggers on our local who I considered successful gamblers, these people have a set of rules in their mind that if they follow, they can earn a significant amount of money. It's fascinating to see how disciplined they are in their approach and how they never let their emotions get in the way of their decisions.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino features you like and Don't like but you don't mind on: September 25, 2023, 02:47:59 AM
So you have been a gambler for at least 1year. Before Covid, you were a regular at the physical casino in your locality. You gambled with fiat. But when Covid hit, you discovered online casinos. You didn't need to gamble with fiat anymore but with cryptocurrencies. You tried out many online casinos but finally settled for one or two. There's no perfect casinos but you have stuck with this one occasionally trying out new casinos as advertised on the forum or out there but you still return to your favorite casinos. What are the features in your favorite casinos that you like that makes you keep going back and what are the features that you don't like at your favorite casino but you overlook them and still play there?

Honestly, when COVID hit, there were too many fiat casinos I've tried. The one that stands out the most is the one with percentage cashback. It's not a crypto casino but a fiat casino with unique games that make me play the ones I like in malls. I don't know if it was the cashback or the fish game, but I played for almost a few months before it became a scam. It's no longer paying the withdrawal, but I play until it's not working.

The only feature I don't like is there is too much bonus in deposit. As a gambler, I know if the casino will become a scam when there are too many rewards in deposit.

You are not alone. Marami tayong ganto and I know it's frustrating pero ganun talaga. Ganto ang way of doing an airdrop ngayon ehhh kaya as a hunter, the best thing you can do is to follow. Mga projects din ngayon is hindi nag dedeclare na may airdrop sila at pure specualtions lang yung mga airdrop hunters which makes acquiring the airdrop harder. Even me hindi pa din jumajackpot sa airdrops but hopefully maka isa din in the future.

310  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Silliman University College of Law Professor Launch Platform To Educate Bitcoin on: July 03, 2023, 10:04:53 PM
That's good ha, meron ng nag umpisa na mag offer ng ganito sa isa sa sikat na univ sa Pinas, medyo matagal nga lang nila bago na intindihan na need na nila i-educate ang mga student, from there kasi magkakaroon tayo ng mga bagong projects na philippines based. saka mas okay to para maintindihan din ng mga taga BSP yung halaga ng crypto mga pros and cons pero sana yung magtuturo is may experience talaga sa crypto.
311  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 6 Crypto Friendly banks sa Pinas on: June 30, 2023, 07:22:47 PM

312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino on a cruise ship? on: June 28, 2023, 08:06:51 PM
Has anyone here had the opportunity to try out the casino on a cruise ship? I've heard many stories about them, and I'm curious to learn about the similarities and differences compared to land-based casinos. I'm particularly interested in hearing from someone who has firsthand experience playing in a cruise ship casino.

Specifically, I would like to know:

Operating Hours: Do cruise ship casinos operate 24/7 like their land-based counterparts?
Payouts: Are the payout rates comparable to land-based casinos?
Betting Limits: What are the minimum betting limits? I know that some land-based casinos start at $20.
Game Variety: Can I find the same range of games offered in land-based casinos on cruise ships?
Based on what I read, there is still some casino on cruiseship because we all know that it is still an entertainment. But i cannot be compared to land based since we can imagine the space and only the amount of people can a cruiseship casino can accomodate. So I think you can still find some of the games that you may see in land based casinos but about betting limits I don't have an idea to that.

314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 26, 2023, 09:02:57 PM
It is close to impossible because they have already budgeted for it; for example, in slot machines, they already have those funds and still can run the casino. We know that casinos are businesses, which is why they earn a profit every day, which is bigger than those who win big. The only reason a casino can go bankrupt is if someone wins big and their money is only enough to operate their casino, but that is bad management, so it is still impossible.

Yep and it rarely happens. But I think I read a thread before in this forum that someone won a jackpot prize but the casino didn't release the money and I think they come to the point that they need to talk about it in the court because of that thing. Casino earns a lot each day and it is nearly impossible to get bankrupt maybe they can hold your winning prize because of whatever reason they have but they will not go bankrupt for sure, I never heard a casino goes bankrupt because someone's win.
315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Job Lists on: June 26, 2023, 06:41:56 PM
Maybe we should pin this thread  Cheesy But most of Cryptocurrency Job is highly skilled worker especially smart contract programmer is on high demand, Is there any sort of tutorial to guide how to become Smart Contract Engineer?

There's a lot of free tutorial on youtube , also available I think in udemy and simplilearn you just need to pay. I tried to start doing that but I end up switching to another course , maybe it is not my kind of thing but maybe soon I will try to reinvest my time and learn it again because there's a lot of opening in blockchain market and one of it is smart contract dev.

320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you running your BTC wallet on Linux? Why? on: June 23, 2023, 06:51:20 PM
Dual boot also works, assuming there's additional space for Linux OS. User friendly Linux distro such as Ubuntu have option for automatic partition.
Yeah, tried to dual boot before , I allocated the larger partition to windows because we all know how heavy that os will be and how many drivers and such are needed in that unlike in linux , it is lightweight and many distro and flavor. Already tried using Ubuntu since most of my friend said that ubuntu is good for beginner like me and then I got interested in Kali because I got interested in cybersec . I also tried Arch Linux but I failed to installed it I don't know why. Currently using Linux mint as well for crypto , but most of the time I used mac now because of work. So for me in terms of security of assets better to use linux, it is kinda hard to use at first when you are not yet so techy you might got a problem in your hardware as well if you failed to partition it correctly.
