302  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: February 04, 2024, 11:45:55 AM
No no I don't buy anything goods or services using cryptocurrency online virtual currency because my country don't directly permit bitcoin as trading system.
Lots of people still use Bitcoin to buy Goods and Services even if their countries don't permit to use of Bitcoin. the thing is even if govt don't allow that, it is technically impossible to stop anyone from using Bitcoin in online sources.
yes, you can't use that in real life. but there are still countless ways of spending Bitcoin online. you can even buy physical products with Bitcoin. like Mobile phones, laptops, hardware wallets, collectibles, and much more.
and no one will ask you how you paid for them. unless it's a noticeable thing.
303  Economy / Economics / Re: are we returning to stone age? on: February 04, 2024, 11:29:56 AM
I don't think that it's possible, the people that's controlling this world and influencing the action of the masses doesn't have that kind of interest for us to return to that and even if that's the case, I don't believe that we're going to back there so quickly even with a nuclear war that would either reset civilization or destroy it, it's really difficult for us to devolve with all the wealth of knowledge that we've got overtime, the probability that we're going back to that age is nigh impossible at the moment.
that wealth and knowledge would be the main reason if thae ever happen. to much of something is never good. specially when it is wealth. some greedy people want to control all wealth, they are demaging the planet earth for their own benefit without thinking outcome and danger of their actions.
economy is falling rapidly. wars breaking out everywhere. and internal curruptions are out of control.
as OP said Education system is ruined. I think a reset to whole these is inevitable now.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: February 04, 2024, 11:17:21 AM
Choices and trust will change with time. There are many altcoins, i used to believe but these weren't moved according to my expectations. And right now many altcoins are in list what are sounds good to go with. As a investor, I've holding a lots of altcoins but i invest Eth, bnb, matic, solana, doge with good amount and i believe these altcoins will perform well. Let's see what Will happen in upcoming days
You are damn right about that change of trust. it happened to me so many times. so many projects in past looked so promising and interesting. and I like them a lot for that reasons. but after some time new altcoins come with better innovation and thsoe projects I liked didn't worked well in market. and some of them have bad teams.
Projects were good but because of team not properly dedicated and hard working enough. those projects either failed or lost majority of their values in market and new projects took their place.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP NFT sales in January! on: February 04, 2024, 10:26:40 AM
Are you also wondering who buys this?

yes, and will they ever get ROI when it's time to sell? cryptopunks doesn't look like it can be sold to someone.

Not Just Cryptopunks. none of them look like they can be sold to anyone. who would buy these for that much money? Absolutely no one.
And no I don't think they'll ever get ROI. I don't even think they were bought for profit purpose at first place. these are all bought by rich people who don't care about money. otherwise why would a sensible person spent millions of dollars in a FT with absulotely no use.
Long time ago I heard that NFTs are used for money laundering. I don't know if that is true or not. and if true than how that works.  Cheesy
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 04, 2024, 10:15:49 AM
For example, Bitcoin is very vulnerable to phishing. Phishing is one of the biggest problems for cryptocurrency owners. In addition, we are vulnerable to software backdoors.
Phishing is a problem indeed. but not the biggest. In fact phishing is only a problem for stupid people who easily fall for any links sent to them. if we be careful enough and stop clicking on any random links, and verify important links twice and by manually typing them. then the risk of getting phished will almost reduce to none.
Software backdoors and malewares from softwares is a bigger problem than phishing. but with being cautious we can eliminate that risk too.
the thing is every problem has a solution. it all depends on each person. how they deal with those problems and how they avoid getting into the problems at first place.

307  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What is best way to maintain your privacy sending payment with Electrum wallet? on: February 04, 2024, 10:07:49 AM
What is best way to maintain your privacy sending btc payment with Electrum wallet?
Is there another wallet that will offer more privacy sending btc?
I didn't use myself. but I heard that Wassabi and Samurai Wallets are best for privacy purposes.
Another Option is using Bitcoin Mixers, they work pretty well. but you must choose a reputable mixer for that. I can't name any mixer here because this forum does not allow posting any links of mixers but you can find good mixers list at AltcoinsTalks Forum: https://altcoinstalks.com/
All the Best.

308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations ahead of pre and post BTC halving? on: February 04, 2024, 10:01:02 AM
2020 was supposed to be an amazing year for me after buying some BTC and altcoins back in 2019 but the Corona virus came and had to dispose by crypto bag for survival before the bullrun came. It's a year I would never forget coz my life would have changed drastically if Covid 19 hadn't messed things up.

Fast forward to 2023, I have been able to accumulate some few BTC from my monthly pay check and the news of Bitcoin spot ETF approval arosed my hope again that BTC might kickstart the mini bullrun before the halving but the reverse was the case as BTC fails to hit the $50k mark.

While reading some crypto news earlier today, I came across a survey conducted by Bitget towards the end of last year in several region of the world where crypto investors share their anticipation and investment plan in crypto ahead of 2024 pre and post BTC halving and seeing 84% of the people saying BTC will cross the previous $69k ATH while also confirming they are increasing their investment ahead of the pre-halving makes me feel 2024 might be another good year for me.

Although some expert suggested that people should be careful as BTC might trade around $30k - $60k within this period which makes it even a more dicey situation but overall, I think the post halving might bring the good news everyone has been anticipating.

What are your thoughts, do you think this survey reflect the true percentage of what to expect or not?
Well, Surveys are usually conducted by asking real people. So yeah I think this survey reflects the true percentage of what people expect only if they've asked enough people.
It is not easy to know everyone's prospectives by asking couple hundred peoples.
But the $30k-60K range sounds as much as I am expecting too..
But only time will tell if our expectation will met or not. we are so close to halving anyway so better wait and watch.
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: February 04, 2024, 09:51:27 AM
l think now is the right time to buy bitcoin, although anything can happen, and the price will decrease, it will not decrease all that much, and  it will eventually go up much higher than this, considering the past record. However anyone who wants to  make a purchase or an investment, needs to make proper research before doing such.
We don't know for sure if price will decrease or not. so it is better to avoid giving any such statements which might become wrong afterwords.
It is better to be skeptical about Bitcoin like I am.
The price might increase or might decrease we don't know but all the signs and events are currently giving positive signs. first ETF got approved. and next coming halving.
so the price increase chance are higher than decrease.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the biggest airdrop you've ever received? on: February 04, 2024, 06:14:40 AM
That dude was definately very lucky. but best thing was that he was prety sure that Jupitar will give airdrop that's why he spend so much time and resource on that. which finnally paid off and he ended up getting $1 million.
i hope he use those money well and not loose them in scam and stay safe from hackers. because hackers will be targeting him now with full force.

I have been participating in the crypto market since 2017 and have also received a few airdrops but usually they are only worth a few USD. Maybe I should collect more luck before becoming an Airdrop hunter Smiley
Only luck won't make you eligible for airdrops, You need to believe in projects too. if you work more and contribute higher in certain projects the chances of earning higher airdrop will increase gradually.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About PI Network trend. Is this coin worth holding? on: February 04, 2024, 06:05:08 AM
What annoys me is about their fantastic predictions for the future. They say that PI will surpass bitcoin in price. In the last few days, less than 1 PI has been used to buy a car worth more than 12,000 USD (on Whatsapp group)
That should be the first red flag for anyone who trust bitcoin. whenever a project team/owners start comparing their shit coin with bitcoin or even try to convince you that their coin is better than bitcoin. you should know that moment that's going to be a ruggpull.

Why does this happen? Will this coin last considering it is so easy to get?
Is this coin worth holding?
coin will last or not is hard to tell. but one thing i can tell you for sure. the coins price will drop so much. it'll be worse than any memecoin if they keep mining unlimite supply like that.

I look on the Bounty Thread, that is no link to this project promotions. How they doing promote their coin and get a lot of community?
Bro, Bounty is not the only way to promote a project. there are lots of methods. and Pi coins best strategy has been their referral program. and they've been there for many years now. so it is not a surprise that they have a big community.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: February 04, 2024, 05:57:03 AM
It depends on one's market experience.  After the halving, if the price drops a bit, then it will be better to buy. But in my opinion, it is better not to invest in alt coin. There is no hope.  Being stressed by investing precious money.  Better to wait and invest in BTC for long-term holding with a dca method.
Bro. I can understand your frustration. Maybe you you lost money in investing in some altcoins. but declaring all altcoin invesmment wrong is not the right thing to do.
I know that investing in some altcoins can cause lose. and also some losses are caused by people because they invest blindly in any project without checking and due diligance.
but that is also true that Investment in altcoin can become very profitable some time. only if you know what project to invst and when to invst.

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about Cyber games. on: February 03, 2024, 06:58:02 PM
game I'm playing right now is the gomble game, apart from having investors in Binance Labs, several other investors are also famous and good.
but currently, they are holding an airdrop event, and have now reached phase 2.
you can find more information here : https://twitter.com/gomblegames

I am also participating in Gomble airdrop. doing their tasks in the airdrop page. but I didn't got a chance to try their games yet. is their game a play2earn game or a normal game?
in Play2Earn Games I think Axie Infnity would be my favorite one. it lost it's value like it used to have back in 2021. but still in my opinion is one of the best game. Play style wise.
Second game that I played is Pixels.xyz which is also a good game. and they are partner of Ronin which is owned by same company as axie infinity.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best safe cloud mining site on: February 03, 2024, 06:51:40 PM
Hello friends
What is best safe cloud mining site?
I heard that cloud mining was a thing back in 2015 and 2016. even that time most cloud mining sites are scams. those scam websites ruined reputation of cloud mining business that today you'll hardly find any cloud mining site exist.
At least I don't know about any good cloud mining site. but I just did a Google Search and found this lis:
https://coingape.com/best-cloud-mining-platforms/
take a look. this might be helpful for you. and be careful with these kind of things.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it okay for Bitcoin Core development to be funded by Banks? on: February 03, 2024, 06:33:38 PM
A note for anyone who thinks it's *not* okay, make sure you put your money where your mouth is and fund/contribute yourself.
I don't understand why would anyone say that's its not okay. Core developers are working hard in contributing for bitcoin. Bitcoin is not run by a company. core developers are always supported by third party organizers like these.
no one should have any problem with that.
as you said if anyone have problem then he should donate to core developers by himself. Saying is easy but doing is hard.
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: February 03, 2024, 05:39:38 PM
I would not say now is the best time to buy bitcoin because its price is slowly going up high. But if you want to ride with the hype when bitcoin halving comes, then invest early as today so you won’t miss another bitcoin opportunity. Just use DCA in buying gradually a portion of bitcoin so you won’t take the burden of spending a big amount of capital. Still, the most important thing is learn to manage the bitcoin risks so you won’t see yourself backing out or worst quitting from your bitcoin investment by selling it lower than the position you bought it first.
you are 100% right about that. Now is the best time to buy bitcoin. before this chance missed. it is possible that this might be the last bear market for bitcoin.
Bitcoin's demand and mass adoption constantly increasing. and I feel like it would be difficult to buy bitcoin at this price after few months. so anyone who want to invest in Bitcoin should finalize their decision asap.
Halving will change a lot of things.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 03, 2024, 05:14:09 PM
We all know that bitcoin was earlier stolen by James "Jimmy" Zhong
James Zhong is an American man who was convicted in 2022 for stealing over 51,680 bitcoin (then worth about $620,000; value as of 2023 approximately $3.4 billion) from the online black market Silk Road between 2012 and 2014.He was also involved in the early development of bitcoin,he found an error on Silk Road that allowed him to withdraw more funds than what was initially deposited. This was activated by repeatedly double clicking the withdraw button, and further abused by using multiple accounts on the website. Zhong managed to conceal his identity and elude detection for nearly 10 years. He lived a luxurious lifestyle, using tools such as cryptocurrency mixers to obscure the origin of the bitcoin he spent. In 2019, he made a mistake by transferring a small amount of stolen bitcoin to a cryptocurrency exchange that followed know-your-customer rules. The IRS's criminal investigation division then tracked him down.
Source link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Zhong#

It turns out that Bitcoin stealers target not only big companies but individual users with modest amounts in their crypto wallets.

Now bitcoin is one of the safest way to invest digital currency. Because of its new and improved security system it makes it hard for hackers and thief to access

So now the question is bitcoin safe from hackers?, can it be stolen?
Bitcoin is the most valuable digital asset. so yeah of course it can be stolen.
there are countless hackers, scammers and online theifs ready and willing to steal anyone's bitcoins if they find a way. if your bitcoins are unprotected. if your keys are not stored in a safe place. if you are not careful while browsing internet and download any random softare. and If you trust anyone online easily an click on any links they share and do anything they tell you then let me tell you that you are the easiest target of hackers. and your bitcoins will be stolen sooner or later.
So better wake up and take necessary actions to protect your bitcoins.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ChicksX - ✅ Cryptocurrency Exchange Services [USDT, ETH, LTC, and many more!] ✅ on: February 03, 2024, 03:55:52 PM
You have a cool-looking website. The name on the other hand sounds pretty weird.
No offense but when we hear ChicksX it sounds like a porn related website .
but anyway.  your website is good with neat layout. I wish I could test the features by doing some trades. but not able to do that right now.
I suggest you to run some promotional campaigns like Signature campaign etc to better spread awareness of your exchange.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are new altcoins being too risky? Current market trend on: February 03, 2024, 03:34:07 PM
It's better to invest in established coins rather than newbies.

Please share your opinion.
I agree with you on this but not completely.
I think that depends on the person. someone who has good experience and understand can make a good profit by investing in newly launched projects. he would know when to invest and when take profit and exit.
but someone who doesn't have understanding of market and don't know how to manage investment then it is better for him to invest in estatblishment projects. or better seek an expert's assistance.
