What the heck is EtherIum?  Roll Eyes
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think bitmain is secretly mining ETH with ASICs? on: March 19, 2018, 08:42:13 PM
i think nowadays VGA'a are the best price/hash ratio for ETH becuase it is very memory dependent and video cards are equipped with the best price/speed ratio memories.

Bitmain cannot make more efficient miners than these. Of course they can make their costum miners for ETH even with cheaper/older rams with enormous amount of bandwith (512bit ?), but still it will have the same (or worster) power consuption, which make it pointless for the public.

I'm still mining with 3GB 1060, no problem at all.

What a nice surprise, to wake up and see that the devs have released an update with stealth addresses. I will download it soon.

And because of that price is growing nicely! Exactly thats what we need.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just RELAX, it will be OK! on: March 18, 2018, 04:20:50 PM
heh, you are saying this since February, but the fact is the February dumpers / panic people ( or even previous week dumpers!) could make a decent profit of today bloodbath.

Keccak or Blake2s has lower power consuption in dual mine? Please advise

309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Attention: Bitmain is currently performing a large scam on: March 16, 2018, 04:20:26 PM
Bitmain has just announced a new mining machine, the antminer x3, that is designed to mine cryptonight algorithm cryptocurrencies, such as Monero. It is extremely efficient and profitable. A vega 56 video card has on average 1850 h/s at 190wh power usage. The x3 has 220000 h/s (118x stronger) at 550w power usage. It is then 41.08x more efficient.
As can be seen, this is a money machine. Costing $12,000 to have it shipped 15-31 may would net you at today's difficult over $5.3k per month.
Enter the most important part.

Seems good to be true, right? It is. This machine is being released to the public because information that asics were being developed/already used leaked to monero developers, and naturally they worked on implementing a fix for that, in order to keep Monero's anti-asic and centralization nature. This month along with other things, code will be pushed to fix this issue and make asics not functional for monero. Every 6 month network upgrade will also have small tweaks in the algorithm to ensure no asic is ever developed or at least profitable to pull.
Bitmain is only selling these machines because they knew monero was adding this feature on the upcoming fork. They then rushed to sell the machines they were using to  people who don't know about this.

On their site:
2. There are financial risks associated with mining cryptocurrencies. These risks can be related to changes in exchange rate of the cryptocurrency or to changes in the algorithm that is used to mine the cryptocurrency. Please deliberate well before making a purchase because we will not accept any requests for refund for orders of this batch.

In other words: if a network upgrade for cryptonight coins ever happen (it will happen), we can't be responsible for this. You're on your own and don't dare requesting a refund, we never issue these (quick off-topic: I personally know this very well because bitmain didn't refund me on my s7s even when I didn't receive the miners)
The shipping date is 2 months after the fork. These machines will be completely and absolutely useless. The biggest cryptonight coin will already have forked. Other cryptonight coins already signaled they will also push fix to this issue. Even if one or two CN coins don't implement anti-asic stance, you'll be left with shitcoins to mine. Imagine buying SHA256 asic for bitcoin only to have it available to mine peercoin only by the time you receive them.
tl,dr: Don't buy bitmain's x3. They asic mined monero and now that this will not be possible anymore they want to dump their machines on you.

Completely agree, but don't forget there is always a possibility to the dive in the shady deep.

I think developers are very smart. They will release developements just about the end of airdrop, which will be a big game changer.

In addition Bitindia will be online from April 28th with DeepOnion on board.  Wink

So this topic is became a comedy? I don't know what is serious and what is sarcasm.

Hm... DeepOnion doing very well against current dumping!

I have been with BITCORE since the beginning.. But now like others I feel we really need a top 10 exchange.,, like bittrex.. All the existing exchanges for Bitcore is like trash..

Keep Bitcore away from BShittrex. That shit exchange changed their terms and messed many peeps around with their bullshit and scammy action. Many many better exchanges out there.

Not a big fan of Bittrex either, at least not anymore. Definitely better options. It is not all about the volume, as that does not necessarily translate to more volume for BTX. I just want a reliable and no-nonsense exchange to trade BTX on.

I am actually a noob when it comes to recommended exchanges. I mean yeah there are a lot of exchanges popping up but how or when do you say that an exchange is good and reliable if I may ask?

Crypto Bridge works perfectly.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 14, 2018, 05:58:11 AM
ETH will change the consensus this year from POW to POS, and POS's performance promotion of POW is also a volume level. I believe ETH will have a good performance this year.

This conversion has been in talks for many days, but till now there is no specific update from the team. Whether it is a long process that's why are taking a long time, it needs a lot of coding to convert from POW to POS?

I guess this it not about coding, rather then it sticks to their plan. Atm VGA manufacturers tend to specialize to make mining cards, also Bitmain planning to release their ASIC for ETH etc. There is a nice industry behind it and a lot of people are involved of mining.

If ETH would switch from POW to POS it will loose a lot miners. They will start to mine other coins and sooner a later there would be a new no1. coin to mine.

ETH will switch to POS when its became number 1 crypto.

We really need Q1 developements to release.
Hopefully they will be released soon, also that  btc will stabilize soon and this bloodbath will end.

I think BTC is sitting in fairly good price now, previous ATH was just pump effect. However DO lost a lot in volume as well, we should be about 4-5 usd.

However i'm pretty sure we will reach it if developments will arrive.

Bitcore is very nice if you have nvidia card.

BTX showing strong growing against everything. btw finally i got my funds from Cryptopia. It took 24 days to arrive.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Buy? on: March 09, 2018, 09:58:26 AM
...But this crash could be the last one before all time high, so time will show where we going....

Noone can predict that. BTC already has nice price compared to last year.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: March 08, 2018, 05:14:28 PM
Without futher advancement of BTC sooner or later it will loose its 1st place.

Imo BTC should improve its algo to use less power consuption. Somehow would be great to have a modificited SHA256, to be able to use current miners.

Lightning network (or smtg) similar to make BTC scalable.

If those problems above would be solved, nothing can stop BTC ever.
