[UPDATE] The new transaction timeout has been set to 24 hours (instead of 8 hours previously)

Pool is running CSV code and has BIP9 support.  Apologies for the disconnects as I restarted the pool daemons.  I've tested everything as extensively as possible, but please report any issues.

Thanks for your hard work wizkid as always (I like the new stats). The pool is working normally for me.

305  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 16, 2016, 09:16:02 AM
Very good for Bitcoin because what the halving means is that the sell pressure from miners will forever be cut in half. As we all know traders like to sell for more so overall it will be positive after the dust settles.

It's all about the money supply, with the positive side-effect of increased news coverage.

But all in all, the halving is definitely adding to the speculation potential of bitcoin (supply ÷ 2 ~ price × 2)

308  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinQueue.com - Real-time Transaction Queue Statistics on: June 16, 2016, 08:37:40 AM
Thank you all Cheesy

In the next few days, I will be adding breakdown tables and total tx fees per fee class in the data very soon, as well as more information about the average/median tx inclusion time in a block. I need to upgrade my backend first though.

310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2016, 12:23:51 AM
Meanwhile, the queue has cleared up...

(http://www.bitcoinqueue.com/ sorry for the mess on the charts, blockchain.info which feeds tx was down for a while)
311  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with your btc? on: June 15, 2016, 11:09:13 PM
VPN access is a good use for BTC but with Netflix blocking it, it loses much of its purpose Angry
312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2016, 10:44:23 PM
How will we know if the correction has ended or not ?
Well see what happened after 1-2 hour when china waking up.. Smiley

Does China ever sleep anyway? Grin
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2016, 10:11:24 PM
Traders probably need to assess the new market rules before we see any major move beyond 700, but it might take shorter than I thought. Obviously it's all coming from China, but there's nothing much new here...
314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2016, 09:47:45 PM
^^ Sometimes a picture says more than a thousand words.

Nice website Matt!

Thanks -- I'll make sure to keep my thread posted about updates in the next few days Smiley
315  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2016, 09:40:27 PM
Just give them some BTC credit card, and she will max it out in no time for sure Grin

Seriously, Bitcoin is nothing close to mainstream (yet? or ever?), but the demographics will evolve according to use over time.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transactions are not going or very slow on: June 15, 2016, 09:18:11 PM
I never have problem with sending bitcoin, they always delivery in 10-20 minutes
try to send with higher fee not with standard fee, the chance to more accepted is higher too

Except that the network conditions are highly degraded since 2 days ago (see charts in my link below)
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2016, 09:07:11 PM
The blockchain is seriously overloaded right now, transactions are experiencing huge delays:

(this is from my live charts at http://www.bitcoinqueue.com)

I believe this has also a bad impact on trading (i.e. too slow from and to exchanges).

So, what do you think, faster adoption of new protocol and/or higher block size?
318  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2016, 09:00:37 PM
The number of bitcoins they will be receiving after the halving will be lowered due to difficulty in mining and it would only compensate then to continue mining if the price of bitcoins will increase.

Actually they have managed to control the price before the supply, IMHO Wink
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I benefit from btc? on: June 15, 2016, 08:54:52 PM
Just use your head and get all the information you need before you do anything that you will regret.

Besides, I would suggest dealing with very low value at first, until you feel comfortable enough.
