303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: April 21, 2024, 09:19:52 AM
You’ve got a point about how certain proverbs or sayings can seem to push us towards gambling. But you know what? These phrases aren’t just about gambling. They’re like little nuggets of wisdom that can apply to all sorts of situations in life, not just when you’re deciding whether to place a bet.
This is exactly what the crux of this thread is.

Proverbs can be twisted to fit you own narrative and that is why they are very deceptive and should not be used without simplifying the facts - someone may just misinterpret it and do the wrong thing.

Some people are too lazy to work hard or fight for their passion - these proverbs are there to motivate them and not make them gamble even if the word "luck" is used. Because just ask yourself, is luck only applicable to gambling? Or to every other aspect of life?
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No gambling today due to bitcoin high transaction fee. on: April 21, 2024, 09:16:39 AM
The high fees do drive away some gamblers but not all. Some of them will continue to pay the high fee and still deposit just to bust their coins once again and continue depositing more till they have an empty wallet. This is also why casinos introduced the altcoins are payment system in the casinos, they know how difficult it is for the gamblers and to allow their business to run smoothly during high fees situation, altcoins are a good option too.

Maybe in future we will see LN being adopted in some form on casinos so as to smoothen these issues even more and then nobody would worry about fees again.
305  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: April 21, 2024, 09:13:41 AM
You’re right but don’t you think, A good leader would make sure there’s a level playing field for everyone.
setting in motion a healthy economical environment for every class of society, which in turn will improve the lives of everyone under his/her leadership from the poor to the rich.
An ideal situation indeed, it does not always happen like that. Because politics need everyone to be close to happy otherwise your leadership fails and hence you end up appeasing everyone and in turn nobody actually develops in the right direction. While there are people who avoid all that bullshit and work like a one mad army to drive the nation in a certain development, they dont last long even though their work is revered among the next generations.

Its not always the Frostpunk game, I am afraid. Grin
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't understand you people... on: April 21, 2024, 09:09:38 AM
I think this incident brought about the topic- Why are whales affecting the market so badly.
It is safer to maintain a range in my opinion. Like for example, you start buying at any price that goes below 60k and sell at any price that goes above 70k USD. If you jump to frequently, you will increase the chances of getting washed out and going in the wrong direction. A lot of things happening in the world politics at this point and the bitcoin halving just happened and hence different forces are in effect and the net movement is indeed difficult to predict.

Hence the bottom line is still same, panic leads to losses and hence avoid FOMO.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: April 21, 2024, 09:05:59 AM
I think gambling based content is free for all on youtube and not flagged as 18+ and this indeed has a bad impact on the less than 18yr old population including all other sites that are doing the same.

Those who have been taught from their childhood the importance of saving and the control of spending will face less problems after seeing such content but those who have been kept away from these ideas and did not get enough pocket money at times to spend, will easily get into the world of gambling. Addictions are easy to acquire and difficult to get rid of, hence as parents we should teach the kids about money and allow them some money to spend with a challenge to save more than spend every month. Such exercises can help avoid gambling addiction and in the broader perspective compulsive spending.
308  Economy / Exchanges / Re: In what cases does Binance asks for source of funds ? on: April 21, 2024, 08:57:21 AM
I have seen some threads online of members complaining that Binance put a hold on their accounts and asked for source of funds. In what cases does this happen and how to avoid it ?
You have to ask the Binance officials if you want to get a concrete answer. My best guess is as good as the rest of the forum members, tainted source of coins and unusual flux on transactions. Mostly illegal stuff that in case you dont deal with, you should be good to go. Usually such sites have systems to flag accounts on the basis of their algorithms to detect such.

To avoid this? Its unavoidable. If you are a law abiding citizen, you should rest easy. Once a site asks you for KYC, you have to go forward with it to save your money. But if you dont trust the exchange, why use them in the first place?
309  Local / India / Re: Breaking: Bitcoin Halving Event [2024] is over! on: April 20, 2024, 11:13:10 AM
The drop in miners fees is not really an issue for them. It is still a good amount of money considering the price of 1BTC.

However I was expecting some bull run to happen and allow to me to win some prediction games Cheesy - I guess that will happen sometime later this weekend.

Happy halving!
310  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: April 20, 2024, 11:04:04 AM
Binance will be paying a penalty of $2 million to the government of India which does not look okay as the penalty is less.
It is the lesser of the two evils. There is a huge market for crypto users in India and Binance has already felt this from the ban. They want to take it back and not lose the market to other competitors.

I think we should accept and move on with this instead of getting stuck on the centralization/loss of decentralization debate. Similar debate is common in the global section too but ultimately we need to trade our coins.

I hope this gradually leads to a better understanding between exchanges and the FIU and we see streamlined crypto transactions in the future.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Short term Investors feeling cool with the centralized Blockchains on: April 20, 2024, 10:44:16 AM
A person who is in it for the short term might not want to look for permanent methods to store their coins. There are people who change from that short term mindset to a long term one but that is rare, most are indeed in with a get-rich-quick attitude.

But people also help generate some buy orders and thus some liquidity in the market so the long term hodlers can sell when they want to. Each of the different classes of investors have their own role to play.

Shutdown of a Centralized exchange can happen any time. Using their wallet as a store is a bad choice. But they will not learn this lesson.
312  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔥 BC.Game - BTC Price Prediction ' April 21 | WIN $50! on: April 19, 2024, 04:51:17 PM
Second prediction - $65412
313  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 19, 2024, 04:20:14 PM
Trading Discussion is often becoming filled with people filling their posting quota and posting only for the same. That and the fact that sources tend to merit those whom they have already merited in the past, adds to the fact that merit received in that section by a post is much less in number than another section.

There are so many sections of this forum which have names tarnished to be "shitposting paradise" sections and ignored by sources, TD often becomes like that too. Helpful posts often get buried under the cesspool and I dont see any solution at this point to this.
314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Best Crypto Investment Opportunities for Passive Income -2024 on: April 19, 2024, 04:05:39 PM
Binance sucks as a way to make passive income, I've locked my bitcoins there for about 3+ years and my total profit form that hasn't even crossed the 0.0001 satoshi territory yet so it's better off just doing it in Blackjack, I'm planning to put in a thousand USDT there and hope for the best, I know it's not a lot but at the least I'm making something while I'm hodling, maybe I'd go with bitcoin but I'm still having second thoughts about that one.
I think it will be very insightful if some of the users of this forum are willing to share their own experiences on the above mentioned sites and additional sites that they are involved currently in, just like you mentioned about Binance. Indeed making <0.0001 BTC over three years, does suck, but I would also like to know what the capital was? That can give us an estimate of the per year return from this site.

My calculations for Bustabit are close to a range of 20-30% a year. I will post when the 1year completion happens so the OP can update that too.
315  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: April 19, 2024, 03:59:45 PM
Wow, you guys are really lucky. Not only did you win in the Bitcoin Price Prediction, but you also won in the JackClub.io slot. Share your lucky charm; maybe I'll win too. lol @TheUltraElite, how many consecutive wins is this for you? Am I correct that this is your fifth win straight in this bitcoin price prediction sponsored by Jackclub.io? I was planning to put a prediction close to your prediction but I don't know why I didn't do it. lol
I dont think these all have been consecutive, I think I missed one of the rounds, but recently I have been stacking wins on every other round and yes this is my fifth win from jacksclub on their prediction contest. I hope I get more such wins, because they are making me confident about my predictions.

Follow me at your own peril, sometimes I get them grossly wrong as well, sometimes they are close enough. No guarantees. Grin

316  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Advice for a young millionaire on: April 18, 2024, 04:40:14 PM
Education first as well a property for his future family and getting some deposits in the bank as a first line thing. Then they can consider riskier assets like stocks, bonds and more property. But always prioritize their education and skills first because they need to work to get paid in future otherwise the entire money stash is going to get slowly decayed.

However a lot of things will go into this, what the kid actually wants, what the rest of the family wants to do, how much assets they already have and so on. They might want to hire a professional to help them.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 18, 2024, 04:36:49 PM
A hobby is usually a pastime and one that have some creative output. A competitive game can be a hobby but when it becomes an addiction then it needs to be controlled to avoid it from stealing time for other activities. Gambling on online casinos have become in the similar lines, casinos want you to feel that competition and thus force you to play more and more to bask that glory of being the top player - of course with empty pockets for yourself and full pockets for the casino.

So its better to keep gambling in the limits of a fun activity and not close to a hobby because then it the chance of becoming a future addiction.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in a casino's bankroll...Still worth it in 2024? on: April 18, 2024, 04:32:33 PM
I miss the days when Crypto Games ran its own investment scheme, I managed to strike up 50% returns in a year over there. It was soon shut down while the site continues to grow and operate on a large scale.

We recently had a thread discussing the similar topic, it seems sites are less inclined to accept public investments anymore since crypto has gradually become mainstream and owners no longer find it difficult to raise money for bankrolls.

Check out mindrust's topic here for detailed analysis of some investment schemes currently running -

Won the third prize on the last round, it was another close match with predictions having 63000 getting squeezed up against one another. Once again a smooth organization of the contest from jacksclub and distribution of prizes within the timeframe.

Congratulations to all who won a prize on this round, looking forward to round 19.

..Lady luck was smiling at me on that day, I played with the $15 prize and won this multiplier
I hit a blackjack on the first bet after winning 15$ from the prediction game in another previous round. I was indeed lucky to have hit that, and was utterly surprised to see the Jack come after the Ace preluding the GG's in the chatbox. Congrats on your wins too!
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 17, 2024, 03:00:45 PM
My achievement is that I have learnt how a casino works and how it is marketed to the general public. Also the fact that earning from the casino, you have to stop being the player and start being a part of the casino. This can be in the form of an investor who wagers their money in the casino's bankroll or a affiliate marketer, who promotes the casino in their own website or social media.

Most people have a bad experience with casinos but maturity is when you realize this reality and you try to apply it. In other words, if you cant beat em, join em!
