Now this looks promising, good chance for other coins coming into the fold here too!

*Rolls eyes*

This is the SuperNET re-invented.  Why do you guys re-invent everything?  Being #2 is not going to pay off ...

No it's not.

Looks interesting, but if it's not like SuperNEt, what are the differences? Or are you gonna post further details which will explain this anyway?

yes I will do a Q&A session after the update is completed

310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RUBLE X15 FAST STAKING & TX ⏰ DECENTRALIZED TRUSTLESS ANON ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) PoD on: October 15, 2014, 07:03:11 PM

XC Supporter Since Launch  Wink
Ruble Bag Holder  Undecided

Im in the same boat as you mate.

I stupidly bought some RUBLE without doing any research simply due to Dan posting that he might be doing a review.

I've been making some bad decisions lately!!  Cry

Is it safe to say this coin is dead?

I'm concerned about how this happened....  when I mentioned that I was asked to do the review, it wasn't a validation of anything except that the request did come in.

However, I have completed the review, the windows wallet is virus free and does contain a trustless anonymous solution - with 45second block times, ruble is a fast blockchain.

http://www.atcsecure.com/proof_of_code/ruble/ruble-review.docx

I also spoke with the dev today who informed me that the project is still moving forward and a new wallet is coming out soon -  but has had to handle some real world stuff.

With anything though in crypto, the decision to buy a coin should be based on your own research - I am simple posting the review because several members have contacted me directly about it.

yes you can update over current wallet, ALWAYS MAINTAIN current backups of your wallet.dat !!!!!!

I think there is something wrong with the new wallet, it uses way too much bandwidth for some reason.

I had the wallet open and my Internet was really slow, slower than normally which is 2 Mb/s it went down to like 0,50 Mb/s and when I closed it it just went right back up again.

Yes it is using more bandwidth, I've put v2.49.08e back on the site for download until a fix is available

is not open source wine wine wine wine when you open source??? wine wine wine wine...ho so you will not open source before the ito cry cry cry cry. I want it open source ...wine wine wine wine.

that is the only argument you have left to FUD pretty pathethic.

Lol!  look dudes i'm trying to point out the irony.

darkcoin open sources and the list of found exploits have only begun to be found (i'm sure).

XC has still not open sourced and they are about to raise money for a company (in addition to the coin) and you're shitting on darkcoin.

I'm just TRYING to point out the irony of anonymity trusted to a non open sourced platform.  and the irony of throwing stones at an open sourced project (I'm sure vulnerabilities will be found when you guys open source).

I get it, I get it. . .I'll leave you in peace with your mountaingoat mascot

Let's treat even trolls with politeness.

ehhh don't worry about my feelings.  i think if you'll all pay attention to my logic you'll see the ironies from someone looking from the outside (i'm the only "outsider" in this thread).

The only logic I see, is the fact that XC's tech is cutting in edge in both anonymous transactions and secured communications (XCHAT)...

That is like asking microsoft to release its source code.....

Something about your tone is unnecessary.

That said, we've been clear (moreover in a press release, which you should've read) about how we're bringing XC into the public: internal testing and consultations, public reviews, bounties, then open source.

Lastly, XC Inc is not based on the code, since it's a private company developing various *other* technologies, mostly based on and extending the usefulness of the currency.

so it will be open sourced before the private company is launched?

No it will not be open sourced before then

How can I install the XC TOR Stick to usb stick so that it is bootable?

you need to make a bootable USB drive with the tor stick Image and then boot your pc from the USB you can then choose if you want to instal the OS in the system or just go in as a trial. if you go in as a trial every time you will need to downoload the whole blockchain of the wallet again.

I would intall it so in a partition or a second HD of your system. The OS in the torstick is LUBUNTU and it will start automatically TOR and the XC app on your Boot each time

I can't get the Wallet or Tor to work.

Tor says: Connection to a relay directory failed (no route to host)

The Qt says: 0 active connections to XC network

Is this using the ISO?
