301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some people need to learn how to use MtGox, they have more money than sense... on: April 08, 2013, 05:47:17 PM
Are merchant trades not also helping to provide the liquid to drive these price increases? Personally, I like to use a large window VWAP to gauge my daily buying prices, and wait for MACD/Signal line crossovers, but the future troughs aren't much lower than previous peaks with such a steep incline.

The market is growing so quickly because there is very little reason to sell until the market caps off at a new equilibrium, which is probably somewhere closer to 1000/BTC by year's end. And every time a  government's like Cyprus starts taxing bank deposits or going bust, there will be a lot more buying pressure driving the bitcoin market up. After all, you can't practically store gold, silver, or platinum yourself unless you also can afford private security or big guns and lots of coffee (late nights staring at your gold stacks, gun tightly held). There's going to be some ups and downs, but BTC is still greatly undervalued because its portable, (semi)anonymous, and very easy to transact.

Intriguing idea for a site, but you need to recruit some bitcointalk members with outstanding reputation to test your service at gold level (for free) so that they can vouch for your service.

What is the format of the .dat files? I'd like to be able to create a script which could generate a historically based ExchangeCUR.dat of a certain polling interval from historic data (downloaded from bitcoincharts.com very wonderful API). This would allow one the chance to test some slow moving bots without having to first wait a days/weeks/months for the generation of the data file.

Are there any tools for command line?  I would love a MySQL database of my encrypted passwords, info with some kind of link to an encryption/decryption library like libmcrypt or gnupg.

I hope you're all wrong. I really want the ASIC I ordered, and it doesn't seem anyone else wants to build them.

Hello! I'm Laura and I come from Italy. I've decided to invest in Btc as I believe they're the coin of the future.
Cheers everyone

Ciao Laura!

I am a scientist (Ph.D. in Cell Regulation). I am a serious individual. I want to join the discussion of Aido's automated trading program (based on Isis's ATP), and initiate a discussion concerning a market watching monitor specific to blockchain monitoring of large coin transactions originating from wallet addresses with long term transaction latency.

Please free me from the kiddie pool (you know they all pee in the water, right?)

Hi, I'm a cell biologist. I am interested in Bitcoin trading markets, and I would like to join the discussion on automated trading bots.

Awaiting.. approval to actually talk about something interesting...
