301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ban via Executive Order Increasingly Unlikely on: November 19, 2019, 06:26:27 AM
This ban has been long coming, time over time the executithas been deliberating on it but yet to make a definite stand. If the US government wish to finally place a total ban on Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general, then that would be so bad for the citizens and some businesses which are already accepting Bitcoins for payment.
I don't see the likelihood of a ban coming anytime soon, maybe some tighter regulations and heavier taxing.
302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Adoption Expanding Everywhere on: November 18, 2019, 06:53:53 PM
Of lately, do many good developments has been coming around for cryptocurrencies. Its very nice seeing these projects performing very well and actually bringing one adoption or the other to the table. Cardano has been doing well fir sometime now, this is surely a more addition to their lists of successful developments.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 05:53:18 PM
This scenario is not fully operational right now as it stands now. The need for traditional banking system is still very much high, crypto hasn't reached that level of flexibility offered by the bank.  Best bet is to open another bank account and move your money there, banks are pretty inevitable for now.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ERC20 Tokens Are Gaining in Total Market Capitalization on: November 18, 2019, 05:09:06 PM
One thing that can be deduced from this scenario is that some ERC 20 tokens regardless of the Bitcoin movement are holding on to their positions and gradually adding a few % gains. This doesn't totally correlate gaining total market capitalisation. Most of these alts don't even have real volumes on exchanges.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ProtonMail is holding bitcoin since 2014 on: November 17, 2019, 08:09:50 PM
ProtonMails seems to be another good email service when privacy is a must.  If they have been holding their BTC since 2014, then that means they have other ways to offset their bills.
I check their address (donation button) and it show Total Received 216.25926871 BTC - https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1Q1nhq1NbxPYAbw1BppwKbCqg58ZqMb9A8?page=1

It is possible that this is just a donation address and the amount they own is actually much higher.
With this, I believe the Bitcoins they are holding are the ones from donation, I'm sure that service payments made in Bitcoin are converted to USD immediately to avoid loss.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitTorrent Price Prediction 2020 on: November 14, 2019, 09:36:05 PM
BitTorrent is one of those Altcoins with potentials to go further, it has a good team behind it and the project is good. But the thing there is that the price going up anytime soon depends on the overall market and demand for alts. Most new investors would bet on BTC, ETH, BNB and other top alts. On a average scale, I'm rooting for at least $0.002 by early next year.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one makes sense on: November 14, 2019, 07:28:46 PM
Which one should come first? better to get through bounty before ICO/IEO fund raising or better to run bounty while fundraising is ongoing... Suggestion need
This can be answered on two fronts;
- If you're are a bounty Hunter looking to join a bounty, the best bet is to join  the bounty before the ICO as this will help you get in on time and stand a chance of better rewards.

- On the side of the project, they should start the bounty campaign way before the ICO in order to create enough awareness and should still go on till the end of the ICO/IEO.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt Bitcoin Futures Contracts Top $10 Million in Daily Volume Again on: November 14, 2019, 04:04:15 PM
BAKKT is really showing good developments and sustainable growth. Even though it didn't come with the pump as we all expected but I believe in the long run, it will gradually build up the price alongside more adoptions. Bakkt will be a good factor that will play a critical role in the next bull run.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After a decade, Bitcoin in charts on: November 12, 2019, 08:54:13 PM
This is a Very detailed and  classic graphical representation. Bitcoin has really come a long way, 10 years down the line with a very high growth margin. Amidst the regulations, bans and restrictions, it still continues to stay strong. Only a few people back then would have believed that Bitcoin can actually come this high judging from where it started.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PAC (Pacquiao) Token Starts Trading from Nov 12. Will You Buy It? If Yes, Why? on: November 12, 2019, 02:31:50 PM
This will certainly be one of those shitcoins we have seen on recent times. I wonder what's the essence of this. Ain't new tokens and projects supposing to be based on solving a particular issue or offering a service that is Blockchain based. This will just be hyped up at the beginning after which it will just die off. I'll pass.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Looking to Spend $2 Billion on Blockchain by 2023 on: November 11, 2019, 08:20:53 PM
China has been on the sideline as regards to Blockchain technology, its adoption and application. But with the move they made recently, they are really creating much waves at the moment. I won't be surprised if China turns out to be the world's Blockchain Power in the nearest future. This will surely shake other countries up, maybe the massive adoption we are predicting is gradually getting started
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY- we can now exchange coins between different blockchains on: November 11, 2019, 05:26:18 PM
Hey guys,

We are working on a new dApp which will help you exchange coins between different blockchains. Finally, we made a real implementation of cross-chain atomic swaps and it is working. We start with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron. Soon also EOS, NEO, Aeternity. We are determined to solve the interoperability problems between the different blockchains. It's high time to really start using crypto!

We launch on Nov 20th on the testnet.
If you want, you can write down your ETH address and we will send you some testnet tokens to try swap with the dApp.
Feedback is highly appreciated!

Congrats on the development. But I would like to get something straight,  this is not creating the ability to do inter Blockchain address transfers, it's just basically swapping your tokens for another and that's something that has already been around a while now, though the usage is kind of low.
313  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin margin trading platform, which is better? on: November 11, 2019, 03:59:07 PM
I would like to ask about the digital currency margin trading, which platform is good. How much is the handling fee?

Margin trading is saddled with high risks and which you need first be aware off. I would like to assume you have already been familiar and able to deal with them.  You would likely want to check out binance, although the margin trading hasn't been there for long, but it sure gets the job done and fees are well on the right side.
314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake Coinbase Giveaway, Stay Away on: November 10, 2019, 09:09:55 PM
The website- coinbasereward.com, claims they are coinbase and to celebrate 50 million accounts on their exchange, they are giving away 5000 BTC.
Fake!Fake!!Fake!!!
This is a scam attempt, please don't fall into this. They are not coinbase, nor they will send BTC ever.

Thanks for undercovering this scam intent. It's very amazing and spirit lifting seeing community members helping to point out scams for the sake and keeping so many people safe. Going through the site, the fakenes to s very obvious, some cheap petty scammers posing as coinbase.
315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick Noob Question about Traders on: November 10, 2019, 03:25:20 PM
I have 1.8 btc in total from two different trading sites. Its stored there. On somedays the websites work and is fully operational. hustrade.com and waxcoins.com

Does it have to do with server?

I know I might be answerings this question for myself, but it never hurts to ask.

The main question is how did you get to these exchanges or are you trying to indirectly promote them on this forum cus I have never heard of such before. If these sites are not always up and running, then something is really not well at the backend. I would advise you to get a more reputable exchanges like binance. Or better still move your BTC to a private wallet.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Interview: Discussing Updates, Exchange Listings, and Future Plans With on: November 10, 2019, 10:59:43 AM
The team behind the project is really doing well to make sure this token doesn't die off and that's applaudable. Overly, dogecoin has been seen in many places from casino games to faucets and lotteries. If they can ensure dogecoin being listed on coinbase, that will do well for the token and as well boost the confidence of holders and the project in general.
317  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to trade 5 ETH for BTC on: November 10, 2019, 07:50:10 AM
Hello

Looking to Exchange 5 ETH to BTC

Please pm me or post here.

Telegram - @abigailpark

First of all, I don't see any reason why you should be asking for such transaction on this section and on the forum. The ETH you're holding is a very popular token and tradable in many exchanges with numerous pairs other than BTC. Why wouldn't you avail yourself of the opportunity of trading on exchanges rather than looking to trade here ?
318  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New service for getting back your stolen crypto from scams/hacks on: November 09, 2019, 10:06:14 PM
This right here looks very interesting but I like to see and know more about the mode of operation. For instance, if one is scammed by a game exchange. Recently, I lost some funds to bituary. How do intsje up the case and start a process for getting back the ETH they scammed from me.
319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation are becoming too obvious now. on: November 09, 2019, 07:38:31 PM
The people manipulating the price are becoming too predictable now. They trigger a massive drop in the price and people follow like sheep and start

dumping some coins. When the price drop between $600 to $1000, they quickly start buying again to turn things around and then they just wait for

the price to recover slowly to sell at a $600 to $1000 (per coin) profit. Rinse and repeat and you smile all the way to the Bank.  Roll Eyes  They make

sure not to make the price too volatile, because that would scare merchants and it will hamper merchant adoption. So, how low are we going this

time around? We saw $3000 in January and we made some good profits at $12 000... The 2017 buyers made some massive losses on the coins that

they bought at the all-time-high (ATH) of $18 000, so I think it is time to reward some of them with a recovery to $20 000.  Tongue

Actually, that's how the market operates, you shouldn't be be surprised about that. Just be happy you have been to figure it out. Rather than trying to blame the whales, just play along with them and make your own money too, that's basically why almost everyone is here.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Investment opportunity, basically free money 8) on: November 09, 2019, 08:09:57 AM
This is simply another scam waiting to happen. Taking out some and reading through the whole stuff and checking up the telegram channel. One thing is for sure, this is another coordinated attenpt to rip people off their hard-earned money. One of these schemes that seem to pay but in reality, nobody is getting paid.
THERE'S NO FREE MONEY!!!
