301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADING TOOLS? useful/useless on: October 26, 2019, 06:03:10 PM
Heyhey. Little help needed here.
Are tools for arbitrage, coin tracking, correlations etc useful or are they just another pitfall for not learning crypto? Was searching for useful platforms but got even more confused, which ones are trustworthy?
Appreciate the help!
It all depends on how you use it and if you know how to use it properly,
So the answer for this is simple it is both useful and useless it only depends on it's user, If one doesn't know how to operate or use it then it is very useless for them.
They have been created to help us but it couldn't operate on it's own so we should also know how to use them properly.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 26, 2019, 05:10:16 PM
How strong does a character need to be to set aside some amount of money on a weekly gamble?
What needs to happen to make it happen?
Does the great loss solidify our character?
What exactly does it mean to discipline yourself in gambling (in the narrow sense)?
Should we be disciplined in gambling, does it mean that we are better at gambling, or that we put less money at stake with more enjoyment, less fear, adrenaline, etc. ?
Me interested in answering the last question?

There are different type of gamblers so all of your question would be answered differently .
But for me Discipline would be great even in gambling knowing how much you could play and how long you would play would make some difference.
For me a great gambler should know when to quit and when to be greedy.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Support Or Have You Supported A Coin That Makes A Comeback on: October 24, 2019, 07:20:55 PM
We have thousands of coins in the market right now, and thousands of them are dead coins do you have a coin that you've supported than turn dead and making a comeback, and will you support a coin that you've invested and become a dead coin and making a comeback.
mine was Xtrabyte it becomes a deadcoin, but adopted by a new developer and it becomes profitable.
No I haven't experience that because back when I was investing in new projects I would always sell it once I gain profit.
And thanks to it I earned some profit back in 2017 and whenever I look back to those project I am happy that I did what I done back then because right now most of them are dead.
But I would say that there are times that I wish I have invested in some project back then that is super low price and manage to move up their price.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons McAfee’s $2 Million Bitcoin Prediction May Not Be So Crazy on: October 24, 2019, 06:12:39 PM

    1. Bitcoin’s Scarcity Will Lead to a Price Surge
    2. $2 Trillion+ Institutional Investment Dollars
    3. Bitcoin Halving in May 2020
    4. Governments Holding BTC in Central Bank Reserves
    5. A Global Recession in 2020

https://bitcoinist.com/mcafees-2-million-bitcoin-prediction/

BTC  is at $7500 as I write and it seems we are going to end up in a BEAR market. so to think BTC  price will go from $7500 to $1Mil , some one will need hell lot more strong weed than that of what John Mcafee is smoking!.

BTC price going to $1k is more realistic than it to be $1Mil in just 1 year time!
This one got me I didn't know that there would be a person who would still take McAfee's word seriously even up to this date.
Just look at how much Bitcoin has grown from the past 10 years do you think that it could really go and jump insanely from $7,500 into a Million Dollar ?
Even in the past the highest price jump only made it x20 from $1K-20k and it took a lot of time and you think that from $7,500 it would go insane to 1M .
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Serious Bitcoin Security Warning!!! on: October 24, 2019, 05:33:41 PM
Here's another privacy issue and extra-carefulness is always needed!
There are a lot of people who use QR codes to share different data (also to share bitcoin or other cryptos) from their smartphones and the article below states the risks of using QR codes.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2019/09/12/researchers-have-issued-a-serious-bitcoin-qr-code-warning/#3254ef2c6d12
Good thing that I don't really use it and I would never used any QR payment I am more comfortable on using the BTC address.
I think it is much more easier that way since it is how I get to know how to send my crypto.
Besides I am using my phone so using QR to pay would mean that I need to download some app.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Ransomware Be Driving Up Bitcoin Prices? on: October 24, 2019, 04:44:06 PM
Research is suggesting that the number of ransomware incidents has risen in 2019. The payment method of choice for the majority of this cybercrime is cryptocurrency, predominantly bitcoin. Could BTC price fluctuations be linked to the increase in this online nefarious activity?

https://bitcoinist.com/could-ransomware-be-driving-up-bitcoin-prices/
Well it could be one reason why the price increased in this year.
The people who are victim of this ransomware could be a non crypto person so if there are so many victims then this would be a fresh money for the market and the price would surely move.
Just think about how much ransom that the victim would pay and how many of them are going to instantly buy it in order to get their computer free.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF]Part 2 on: October 23, 2019, 05:42:45 PM
What If,... you're currently playing and suddenly you run out of funds and on the next draw you missed the game which you are about to win the Jackpot.
What would you feel and do about it? Will you stop playing because of that miserable scenario?
And if that happens in real life, you won the Jackpot by your lucky numbers and suddenly you misplaced the ticket, that's a BIG LOSS already don't you think?

-Let's see how'd you feel down about missing a BIG THING in just a blink of an eye.
I don't have to say it is a what if because it already happened to me so many times.
I usually feel sad and frustrated because I know that I would win in that match but I don't have any money left to continue.
And since this happen to me so many times whenever I got zero balance I would instantly close the site so I wouldn't see the next game.
There are also time that I would skip 1 game because it is my last money then it would end lose and the round that I skip would be the round that would give me profit and would win.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem gamblers what can we do to help them help theirselves? on: October 23, 2019, 04:57:40 PM
They need to see a doctor to help them properly if they couldn't control their gambling habit even if they are losing a huge amount for me it should be considered as a gambling addiction,
And only the professional could help them if they couldn't do it on their own, But they should also be open to their family so their family members and friend could help them on changing their self.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Yourself And You Protect Your Assets on: October 23, 2019, 04:09:58 PM
I've read people asking and posting how to protect their wallet but apart from educating yourself on how to protect your wallet, private keys and passwords, It's also very important that you protect yourself from exposing your portfolio you don't go around telling friends and random people, coins that you are keeping.
And also It's important to have other businesses or jobs and not rely on all your needs to Cryptocurrency, people will notice this and they will think you are making a fortune from Cryptocurrency and they might target you.

So are you protecting yourself and how do you protect yourself and your family?
To be honest I think you should only let your friends or whom you really trust to know about how you earn in crypto,
The more people who knows it the more it would be complicated just like one of my friends who are only earning through crypto but the people around them doesn't know a thing about crypto so they are suspecting that he is doing some illegal things online in order to sustain his living expenses.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 22, 2019, 06:10:50 PM
my friends lost his coins from offline wallet when he was chatting online on facebook messenger
sure he can't restore his coin
so how can protect offline wallet ?
How did your friend lost it while chatting if it is an offline wallet?
But to answer your question you should just be careful on what you would do with your wallet and where you would access it,
Don't easily trust people and don't enter from an unknown and untrusted sites.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 22, 2019, 04:36:54 PM
In my experience its seems that

[1] some people seem to just "get" btc almost as soon as they are introduced to it,

[2]  others simply don't or

[3] become hostile without understanding BTC tech.

[4] Become hostile and do understand the tech.

The demarcation lines seem to me quite stark. Any theories as to why this is?

(I understand [5] those who just don't get it or are not interested, )

Yes the only explanation that I could think of is number 5,
People who doesn't really like it or not interested in one thing would always be closed minded person .
They wouldn't get it no matter how much you explain it to them if they doesn't like it then it would just be worthless.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 22, 2019, 02:25:44 PM

This property is too much dangerous for any entity which is holding Bitcoin. If a company sells products/services of 10000$ and receive payment in Bitcoin, and bitcoin loses 10% in one day then basically company has lost 10% worth of their products.

And what if the scenario is the opposite, then the company profited 10%.  The high volatility of Bitcoin had been known for years.  And this is not a huge problem for business establishment because they can auto convert the Bitcoin payment to cash if they are too afraid to loss some percentage value.  And from this, several third party platform thrives.  So basically, this volatility serves as an opportunity to other company to take profit of the booming market of Bitcoin while protecting merchants from Bitcoin's insane price fluctuation.
Yes there is also a possibility that it would rise up so for me I think it is up to them.
They could easily convert every BTC payment into Fiat so that they wouldn't get affected when the price fluctuate .
A company that would accept BTC or crypto as payment would be well aware of what they are doing so I think that those company are accepting BTC for a much more easier transaction and they have a system or app that automatically converts crypto into Fiat ,
Or if not then they are using the fluctuation as a way to gain more profit.
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is controlled not just manipulated but controlled on: October 22, 2019, 11:58:35 AM
Bitcoin and Other crypto bots controlling the btc price.

Bots are start buying at some spefic time.

WHO ever control those bots have control over bitcoin price!

So who is behind that bots?

The market is being manipulate and it is very clear as for the bots that you are talking it could be everyone who is into trading,
We could see that there are so many bots that are being used for trading so those bots that you think that controls the market could be controlled by plenty of people,
While we are sure that the market could be manipulated by the whales because they could easily create a waves of order and the price could move instantly .
314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro | Which one is better? on: October 22, 2019, 11:15:01 AM
I think for newbie's it would be good to choose coinbase but for the old time crypto owners or traders they would provably choose binance over coinbase pro.
Coinbase pro would be good if you would do a daily transaction since it have a low fee but for trading it is more efficient to use binance since most of us are already comfortable and it already proves that it is the best in keeping your funds,
It have shown us how it handle the worst case scenario when their site got hack with $40M so I think it is one of the best trading site right now.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE reaches 30sats! Do you think it could go higher now? on: October 20, 2019, 07:03:23 PM
I think there will be a very good breakthrough for the price of the doge, you have to get ready to be able to benefit from the doge, don't let you sell the doge at cheap prices, the price increase of the doge will be the same as in 2017 when all the coin prices go up.
Then we would be holding it for so long and not knowing when to sell?
I think it is a great one that the price manage to rise up for now .
Waiting for something like 2017 where all crypto manage to jump high because of the huge number of new investor seem's to be so hard to achieve now .
We could see it again if there would be another wave of great news that would attract so many investor but for now I don't think that it would happen soon.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My speculation for 2020 on: October 20, 2019, 06:16:37 PM
The next bubble on the cryptocurrency market will come sooner or later. I also believe that this will happen in 2020. In my opinion it will be close to the halving even, so around mid-2020 ...  Roll Eyes
I also feel the same thing maybe because we trust too much on the coming halving in 2020,
But base on the past halving events the price shows that it always increase before halving or even after the event.
So maybe this could be the reason for us to see another all time high for Bitcoin.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From financial debt to financial stability- thanks to bitcoin on: October 20, 2019, 05:30:21 PM
Well thanks to Bitcoin I manage to earn easily and comfortably at home and I also manage to earn more money compared when I was working 8-9 hours a day.
Now I hold my time and have so many free time on my hand .
I saved an amount of money that I never imagined that I could .
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum and Satoshi on: October 20, 2019, 04:13:53 PM
this was already discussed a million times (use search). Satoshi's account here is locked and besides posting on that account does NOT prove anything as bitcointalk database is not the safest thing in the world compared to a digital signature from a bitcoin private key!
Yes the forum account wouldn't change anything unless Theymos confirm it .
And it is the best way to prove show us that he could use or have an access to Satoshi's BTC wallet.
But of course we already know that it would be impossible since it has been said so many times and have been proven that Craig is a fraud and he couldn't really give out a clear proof that he is indeed the real creator.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 20, 2019, 03:27:37 PM
Have you ever thought of donating the gambling profits to a charitable cause ?  Sometime people won a big lottery or very high amount of money from betting & gambling games.  Do you ever thought of being generous and helping the poor with this money ?
I have seen some gambler sharing their profit to other gamblers ,
But I never actually heard something like this I mean it would be a good one since you know that you are helping the people who really needs the help.
I only heard of a gambling site giving out some help to a chosen charity project (Primedice and Stake).
But there might be some who have a good heart who is sharing silently their profit to help a charity project.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NON-ICO Altcoins on: October 19, 2019, 03:38:08 PM
Hello. I would like to start investing in altcoins besides bitcoin again. My biggest criterion for the token is that its not an ICO project. Never had any great return from it.
So are there any new non ICO projects with some potential being traded on stable exchanges? Thanks
Instead of looking for those no ICO alt-coin why not try those who are already in the top list?
Like ETH,LTC and XRP don't you consider them as a great one to hold?
I also hate those new alt-coin that comes from offering those alts are going straight down whenever they reach the market so I think it isn't good to invest on them right now.
