301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EPC][Scrypt] Experiencecoin-The coin geared towards gamers-reRelease on: January 17, 2018, 06:29:09 AM
That is really wierd that you would say something like that. Everything I have said I back up with math. You sit there and claim there are 450 billion EPC. Where are they? They don't exist, because if you take the current number of blocks 1,074,113 and multiply it by the block reward it comes out to be 18796977500 EPC.

Which means if someone had 1,000,000 EPC with a current market value of about $20 usd, only 18796.9775 people could have that amount before the supply would be owned by those lucky 18,796 people.

1,000,000 x 18796.9775 = 18796977500

Hi, I got some internet going so I can sync and stake some XP! The only problem I can see is that it seems the very slow syncing times is because I am not connecting to a node with a fast internet. I have been connected to two peers only 45.77.149.83:28192 and 185.223.30.231:28192

So far I have downloaded a total of 7 MB from them total in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is syncing fast enough to catch up the remaining 45k blocks in about 24 hours or so. I think if I could get some better node ip addresses with faster internet it would sync faster. At one point I was connecting to 7 peers (a few months ago), any suggestions?

https://www.xpcoin.io/ - BootStrap

I did bootstrap, thank you for trying to help. I think the problem may have been that my config was listing old ip addresses. The link to the chainz block explorer's XP nodes works.  Cheesy

We added Experience Points to the Cheddur app (https://www.cheddur.com)! This will help new users learn about Experience Points and join the community. Cheddur allows you to link wallets, exchanges, and other services that support XP so that new users can easily get started. You can also review the project and post your XP addresses on your profile to receive tips / payments / donations in XP from other users Smiley

Can others from the community please review the profile for quality and help add supported services? The more active the Experience Points profile is (via user reviews and addresses), the higher it ranks in search results and the more likely newcomers are to discover the Experience Points project!

Very nice!

OK, so I would appreciate some clarification about the POS thing. I am all for a reversal, but I think it would be difficult to code from scratch, unless you have a coin that already did that. I think it would be better to just lower the reward with a pecentage halving every 500k blocks or something. The current reward is 100% annual interest. Simply half it every so often. This will cap the coins. It is not a serious issue right now, however, the amount of coins is increasing very rapidly. If you (the dev) continue to drag your feet like most coin devs do, you will see hyper inflation. The main problem with that is massive price drops. So, in order to keep this coin from imploding, a reduction in the staking reward percentage is needed.

I have currently gained some value due to the recent price spike. Its interesting that some people only want to buy a coin to earn more bitcoin. I legitamitely would like XP coin to be used as money. The POS framework is stable, energy efficient and reliable, unlike the bitcoin network, which often take a long time to mine a block. Keep up the good work. Smiley

what are the bonuses for first-days purchases?

What are you freakin talking about. If you are seriously asking if you will get a bonus on your first purchase of xp coin, you are seriously misunderstanding the nature of cryptocurrency. When you purchase xp coin, you are conducting a third party transaction that does nat involve anyone except you and the seller. So to answer your retarded question, no. You will not recieve a bonus on your first purchase. ><

Alse, XP coin is not new, so there are no first-days purchase.

I think that developers should not participate in the production of PoS - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xp/address.dws?3.htm.
It looks very dangerous, the developer daily has a lot of coins that sell ...

See here - 258d5309a74b98b7...   1853116   2017-11-04 00:19:13   - 999,999,999.998767 XP   61,785,942,433.145164 XP

I think that if the developer stops participating in the development, it will be an interesting project!
Waiting for developer's answer...

Im no longer involved with XP as posted in the original thread/op (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1590538.0).
30+ billion coins have already been given to the new development team which took over this coin over 6 months ago.
The new dev is implementing a change in the wallet in January reversing POS, so POS will not work for people with the largest number of coins, its a little contraversial but fair for people with smaller holdings.
My share is available for investors to purchase should anyone wish to buy a large stake of XP.
Hope that information helps!

Wow the original dev. Hello, thanks for working on XP when you did. I do have one question, how many Experience Points Coins is a small holding, 1 XP? or maybe 0.00000001 XP? Just curious, thanks. To be honest, it doesn't really matter what happens. The thing about Proof of Stake, is that it is inevitable that rich people get richer. It is designed that way, the staking rewards will be reduced, which means rich people will still get richer, but it will be harder to make the coins, which will stabalize the inflation. The rich will still get richer. Correct me if I am wrong. P.S. I like XP coin, dips mean discount coins to me. Smiley

Dearest dev. Don't listen to fools. This coin is cool. That fake pump and dumper is a well known troll. He photoshopped his balance, the numbers are off by several pixels. Keep up the good work.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: eXperience Points [XP] ENGLISH on: November 02, 2017, 02:22:46 AM
Hi, guys, tell me where are you incorporated?

That is a strange question. Cryptocurrencies are not companies. They are wallet applications built on open source software that anyone with a computer and an internet connection can run. Similar to how bit torrent works.

OK, maybe its not a scam, I am willing to wait and see.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: eXperience Points [XP] ENGLISH on: November 01, 2017, 10:03:29 PM
This is clearly a scam coin. Invest at your own risk. I have lost considerable money with this coin. Be careful. Creating new ann pages won't hide anything, its called a link for a reason. I plan to keep my 100 million XP I have acquired, but I do not expect to gain any returns for it. I am merely keeping it with all my other scam coins I seem to be acumulating. Sad

Looks like novaexchange released plans to shut down their exchange Sad... XP coin is still being traded on coinexchange.io with doge or bitcoin:

https://www.coinexchange.io/market/XP/DOGE
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/XP/BTC

To calculate what doge price is the same as 1 satoshi, divide one by the doge price in satoshi, for example, currently doge is 19 sat, therefore, 1 satoshi in doge is 1/19 = 0.05263 DOGE.
311  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange New Registrations not working on: September 27, 2017, 06:34:38 PM
First rule of crypto, DO NOT KEEP YOUR COINS ON ANY F-ING ONLINE WALLET OR EXCHANGE!!! Have you ever heard of mount gox? Lite wallets are unsafe, trust the secret corporation stationed in london who took control of the once open source project called coinomi at your own risk, I do not. The only secure way no store your coins is cold storage where your and only you have the private keys, however, the absolute best solution is to store your coins on the actual wallet provided for the coin. Yes this requires downloading a huge blockchain, as well as needing to password protect your wallet with a strong password that you can remember. Also backup your .dat wallet file in a password protected .zip file. Email this to yourself!

Today I tried to log into novaexchange, for the first time, the orderbooks do not appear. I emailed support. Luckily I follow my own advice, I hope you do to. If you lost coins I am sorry, we can only learn from OUR own mistakes and do things better.

Blocks are stuck for a couple days now. I suggest a max time before a difficulty retarget, say 60 minutes or maybe less. A common way for coins to die is miners manipulating the difficulty by using huge hashrate for some blocks then stopping a block before difficulty retarget. This is very bad, since I want to dump this coin for something less scammy. Everyone knows only scammers try to build hype by introducing masternodes. And technically a switch is a glorified airdrop where you throw away crap coins by sending them to an address nobody can use (burning), and recieve other crap coins also probably premined (created from nothing intsantly without work by giving the genisis block an obscene reward). Originally premining meant that legit block rewards were solo mined prior to release, however, this now can mean a large amount generated from the genesis block, done in order to enrich the dev quickly by allowing them to dump the coins to manipulate the prices to very low that many people panik sell, because they cannot afford to lose a large portion of their value, meanwhile, the dev can pump the price to any price they want because they now have bitcoin and all the litecoinultra, and the circulating supply is so low that the order books are very thin, which makes it even easier to manipulate and steal others money.

Don't be surprised if this message is deleted by the dev who is rich enough to get seriously offended.

Hello, I like batcoin. Please compile code and build a windows wallet. I have some batcoin that I would like to withdraw, but your windows wallet link is broken. Please, it would be ever so great. Don't worry about the cheap price, one day this will be a great coin, and we'll look back at this moment like that guy who bought papa johns pizza with 10000 bitcoin, several times! Hi dev, I have been following this thread since day one of trading on novaexchange. Since you claim to be all about transparency answer me this. The premine was 7.5 million, calculating 10% anual interest is 490k, divided by twelve is 40k monthly staking. You also claimed to have sold some million coins. So how is it that block 6441 show nearly 8 milion coins transfer. Also, what is the stats such as how many coins are being created each block and the total coins created. Seriously, because I see you already are a milionaire, and I am wondering wtf? Prohashing is the worst block explorer, chainz.cryptoid.info is way better.

Remember we have NO STAKING REWARD until block 200.000.
Staking is working, but just giving some residual 0.0001 or less every few blocks.
We are only at block 6442, so no have to worrie about staking rewards for many years.

Cool, thanks for responding. I love LTCU!

This coin is a Big Shit

Doesent deserve more than 1 satoshi

I wouldn't go that far, I just want honesty. Staking can hyperinflate a coin, which is a serious problem. Staking is currently allowed, which is claimed to be starting at block 200k.

I like the purple XP logo that the wallet uses better than the green one on xpcoin.io Just my opinion, but I am able to take the purple logo more serious for some reason.  Tongue
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XP] Experience Points on: August 16, 2017, 06:53:03 PM

- I currently stake with 1.005.000.000 XP. Gets me roughly between 4.000.000 and 1.000.000 per day. This number starts big when i deposited 1.000.000.000 and goes down when
stakes are getting smaller (staking amount gets split in two after every stake, 1.000.000.000 becomes 2* 500.000.000, 2* 500.000.000 becomes 4* 250.000.000 and so on.
When stakes become to small for my likings i just send complete wallet to a new adress and start over again. ;-)

That sounds kind of broken, doesn't it? Circumventing the system as it's intended to be used doesn't seem right.

No its not broken, it is how every Proof of Stake wallet works. I heard people talking about it with reddcoin, but I don't know how to change it. Sending all the coins to a different address is a good solution.

I think the original post said the reward is 100% annually. This means with 1,000,000,000 XP, you will receive about 2,777,777 XP each day.

This wallet took a few weeks for me to download. But uploaded a snapshot to mediafire to help people out. Here is a link.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ez68l354th4t1im/XP_blockchain_snapshot_8-13-17.zip

Also, if anyone has a fully synced wallet that they keep running, simply post your ip address, and we can include it as a node "addnode=[ip]" in the XP.conf file.

If you are having trouble connecting to peers, at novaexchange.com at the bottom of the trading page for XP is a link called "addnodes" click on the link and copy these into a text file and save it as XP.conf and put this in the XP folder found by searching "%appdata%" on windows. The wallet is slow to start up on my computer and seems to take about 15-20 minutes.

ExperiencePoints coin (XP) donations appreciated:

Grin I love this coin! Thank you dev for being honest about how many premine coins you have sold, I like transparency. Keep up the great work!

@jravago It is useless to ask miners to stop selling. Also, it is important that you let people sell when they want. This is not a scam, so it is actually good to sell and buy. Also, if you were to think clearly about the truth, you would see that when miners dump their coins cheap, investors get a golden opportunity.  Wink
