These guys know that bitcoin is something they ought to have but they should've just went and bought them themselves. They probably had some idea how it works but they shouldn't have thought their moves were anonymous to their peers that were keeping an eye on the chain.
3002  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: March 31, 2015, 12:52:57 AM
These guys that worked this case and/or investigated for it had to learn a thing or two about bitcoin and probably encountered many smart people that gave them some pointers. I'm sure most of these agents are fairly well off buy probably have an idea that having some coins is a great enhancement to their pensions and 401k as they know a finite amount of something is a groovy thing.
3003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 30, 2015, 09:28:35 PM
Let's face it, these trolls are here to affect lurkers and engage anyone who'll tolerate them considering the quoting of them just feeds their fury. There definitely should be a newbie jail again, most of us veterans had to go through it but it makes no sense for the main bitcoin forum to allow this flurry of retarded activity go untamed unless it's supposed to help flush this bear market out. However, that doesn't exactly help newcomers learn the ropes in a balanced way.

Wow, thanks! There is no way for me to import the list automatically, but I'll use it as a reference and ignore when I see them. And I will start right now to weed out the most current. Thanks again!  Wink

It's all a personal preference though. You might find some of those posters to be people who touch you deeply. The likelihood is not, but who knows?. My ignore list is considerably larger than that but I'm getting old now and wish to use my limited time left reading opinions that actually count for something.
Yeah, pretty much forgoing the waste of time reading drivel that isn't even remotely serious commentary.

It's really sad, until a few months ago I had a policy of no ignore list, trolls were generally annoying but they each had their moments.

But now it's just constant shitposts

These posters will stand out like a sore thumb and you'll get used to the commentary of garbage so you'll be more easily attuned to the new accounts that these puppets make. I don't mind bears like tarmi or skyvaleeny but the rest of these folks are just trolls and likely 20 of the above are all the same person.

Stand With Rand #LibertyKaraoke in a city near you (04.07.15)

These events are happening in most states all over the country and aren't officially part of the campaign but are fun fundraising social events that do coincide w/ the launch of the campaign. Each one has it's own facebook event page and you can find out the whens and where - http://www.eventbrite.com/e/stand-with-rand-libertykaraoke-april-7-tickets-16360513737. So, if you're nearby one of these events, get out and mingle/network with liberty minded people - those who are instantly more interested in alternative money than your average person. Kill two birds with one stone while adding momentum to Rand's GOP Nomination seeking announcement day. You could also just get rekt and sing songs and embarrass yourself too. Cheesy

Just a little background, these events have been thrown in the past near Washington DC to raise money for Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Justin Amash (R-MI), both libertarian-republicans Congressman and these typically trend towards the younger/middle aged crowd on average but this of course doesn't stop anyone who wants to from attending. All are welcome esp for Rand's events.

Rand Paul opposes GOP budget, says it’s ‘irresponsible’ to add to debt

Sen. Rand Paul used last week’s battle over the federal budget to reinforce his image as the top fiscal hawk in the 2016 presidential field, calling out his colleagues for demanding more military spending without showing how they would pay for it.

Mr. Paul closed out the Senate “vote-a-rama” by giving a thumbs down to the GOP budget, hours after he opened up his day on the Senate floor by ripping apart Sen. Marco Rubio’s push to beef up the defense budget.

“It is irresponsible and dangerous to continue to put America further into debt, even for something we need,” Mr. Paul said on the Senate floor. “We need national defense, but we should pay for it.”

Drill simulates invasion of Iran, Syria

The Jade Helm military exercise, set to take place in nine U.S. states this summer, has prompted concerns about preaparations for martial law in America, but could the real purpose behind the drill be centered around a mock invasion of Iran and Syria, and a huge Middle Eastern war?

Make sure and watch the sort video...http://www.infowars.com/jade-helm-preparation-for-huge-war-in-the-middle-east/
3009  Other / Politics & Society / AUSTRALIA TO START TAXING BANK DEPOSITS on: March 30, 2015, 06:10:46 PM
Up until now, the world’s descent into the NIRPy twilight of fiat currency was a function of failing monetary policy around the globe as central bank after desperate central bank implemented negative and even more negative (in the case of Denmark some four times rapid succession) rates, hoping to make saving so prohibitive consumers would have no choice but to spend the fruits of their labor, or better yet, take out massive loans which they would never be able to repay. However, nobody said it was only central banks who could be the executioners of the world’s saver class: governments are perfectly capable too.  Such as Australia’s.

According to Australia’s ABC News, the “Federal Government looks set to introduce a tax on bank deposits in the May budget.”

Ironically, the idea of a bank deposit tax was raised by Labor in 2013 and was criticized by Tony Abbott at the time. Much has changed in two years, and as ABC reports, assistant Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has indicated an announcement on the new tax could be made before the budget.

Mr Frydenberg is a member of the Government’s Expenditure Review Committee but has refused to provide any details.
“Any announcements or decisions around this proposed policy which we discussed at the last election will be made in the lead up or on budget night,” he said.

One of the alleged attackers was killed and the second man wounded.

The FBI in Baltimore and the NSA police said they are investigating the shooting.

“The shooting scene is contained, and we do not believe it is related to terrorism,” said Amy J. Thoreson, a spokeswoman for the FBI.

3011  Other / Politics & Society / Repeal, Don't Reform the International Monetary Fund on: March 30, 2015, 05:59:32 PM
A responsible financial institution would not extend a new loan of between 17 and 40 billion dollars to a borrower already struggling to pay back an existing multi-billion dollar loan. Yet that is just what the International Monetary Fund (IMF) did last month when it extended a new loan to the government of Ukraine. This new loan may not make much economic sense, but propping up the existing Ukrainian government serves the foreign policy agenda of the US government.

Since the IMF receives most of its funding from the United States, it is hardly surprising that it would tailor its actions to advance the US government’s foreign policy goals. The IMF also has a history of using the funds provided to it by the American taxpayer to prop up dictatorial regimes and support unsound economic policies.

Some may claim the IMF does promote free markets by requiring that countries receiving IMF loans implement some positive economic reforms, such as reducing government spending. However, other conditions imposed by the IMF, such as that the country receiving the loan deflate its currency and implement an industrial policy promoting exports, do not seem designed to promote a true free market, much less improve the people’s living standards by giving them greater economic opportunities.

The problem with the IMF cannot be fixed by changing the conditions attached to IMF loans. The fundamental problem with the IMF is that it is funded by resources taken forcibly from the private sector. By taking resources out of private hands and giving them to IMF bureaucrats, government distorts the marketplace, harming both American taxpayers and the citizens of the countries receiving the IMF loans. The idea that the IMF is somehow better able to allocate capital than are private investors is just as flawed as every other form of central planning. The IMF must be repealed, not reformed.

This is merely a crime of breaching a secured location and then the resulting circumstances from the apprehension, not domestic terrorism. However, it wouldn't surprise me to see this drummed up as a case of it considering they like to put labels on different groups of people - specifically pro-liberty, gun owners, constitutionalists when in reality it's just lone nutballs that go off and this is the result.

Next up, event number 3 aboard a retired aircraft carrier down in the early voting state of SC

U.S.S. Yorktown
40 Patriots Point Road
Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464

Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (EDT)

Register:  http://www.eventbrite.com/e/rand-paul-rally-in-south-carolina-tickets-16244203851

You could learn about lots of naval history by making a day out of this one after the rally.

SC is a difficult and important state. If Rand can win there, then he has a real chance.
I think Rand is trying to do legions better than dad in SC and this is the start of it. He's doing it right at carrier and feeding to the militarists down there so this seems worthwhile atm. I'm not sayin he can win but competing is a big deal.

Where did this bs pump come from? It's a waste. No matter how high the price goes, the non-believers/whales/manipulators/sadists are going to keep pushing it down. Why fight it, just let them get to double digits and then we can finally go up.

It's an illusion to think that once we get to X we can all just happily buy again and go up. If we do get to double digits you will be very scared to buy and the single digit crew will be hard at work convincing you that the price can't go up until we hit $5 or whatever arbitrary number. There is no magical number where buying fills all of us with butterflies and rainbows, the doom is always palpable and looming above our heads. Only once you see through the psychology and can objectively look at it from the outside you can find good entry points to buy (or sell).
This is true otherwise many more people would've been able to snag something at the last real low. The despair/unknowing period sometimes just makes people stunned and in a bind as to what to do next. Hopefully, people have learned. However, tonight no one knew the bottom would be around 236-7 and the chance passed them by, including me at this point. But I did bag some good swaps.

I didn't catch the bottom, but I have been buying steadily today. Smiley

I guess I would say you're a lucky man or sheer genius to catch those or make those bids in such a situation. Well done, partner.

 Cheesy

I am laughing my ass right now. why are you congratulating him for buying this now?

are you guys serious?

sheer genius!!!!

lel
Cuz he can sell now if not adding to the stash and run it again if the price goes lower. Lighten up dude, you don't need to be a perpetual butterball during the flip. I didn't buy yet but just observing for the time being and putting some pocket change up for swaps at the moment. It's all good, ninny. I'm just replenishing my litecoin figures w/ my other piggy bank on these drops.

the flip?

litecoin?

got it!
The spec value ahead is worth the buy and hold on the cheap. I've been turning this up/down and up for a while now. You must be in the US for bellying up to the bar in this timeframe and bellowing.

Well, that sucks. Do we really need Wall Street market makers before we have a stable market?

You think this is volatile? Wait til they really do enter and hold on to your hat.
So true, cause nobody has seen nothing yet prior to these folks getting down in the market. There will be a whole new layer of market shakers to deal with or be in awe of.

this is one of the funniest things ive seen in awhile, north korea creator of btc! lol i highly doubt this, but then again you never really know Tongue
Actually it is news like that are spreading because  we don't really know much about origin of it. But people will believe that there is some 'backdoor' or hidden 'take over' button somewhere in the bitcoin code.
And North Korea or whoever will be able to just snatch bitcoin in the future because of it.

No, The reason of news spreading like these are because there are too many conspiracy theorist out there.
The OPs tongue in cheek posting of this in that they're trying to circumvent sanctions and banks that now won't do business with them is a great thing if Kimmyboy needs to transfer coinage via bitcoin to pay for his loyalty bribes and secure the goods that he needs outside of the former banking system that he needed to help his cause. If he didn't repress his people I'd welcome him using bitcoin to handle his affairs. But, I doubt he's using it otherwise we'd know it by semi-frequent large transfers and reoccurring purchases of coinage.
