Still on the first page and the shills have already arrived lol

Their other coin is still getting developments lol

did you already update the OP with the new wallets?

my wallet had gotten nothing but orphans the last couple hours while I was at work (and was 3000+ blocks behind) I downloaded a new one thinking you had but it still says 5.0.0.0

restarting the wallet got it un stuck and finding blocks again YaY

I have not. The new version will be 5.2

right on, I'm back finding blocks so I'm all good  Cool I don't even want to count how many blocks I missed out on while it was locked up lol but it's a shitload

overall I'm noticing a few more orphans than 10k etc, is that due to the extra calculations it's doing to find the primes?

No, faster blocks. The prime-check isn't working properly in 5.0 and is defaulting to NOT prime at the first check (rounding numbers did not work as anticipated, which is why I switched from division/rounding to a modulo-based formula in 5.2)

They've been shitting on the altcoin section for years. I don't think anyone there likes the mods

No thanks
3007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh - you think the blockchain is getting too big? on: August 18, 2015, 04:05:08 AM
Thinking this debate is because of storage space is quite ridiculous..
Probably you have good broadband and never have a problem with it! But for the ppl who have low connecting speed, it matters to them!

This is exactly why I am on their side for not increasing it  Wink
3008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What sparked the recent boost in XT node adoption? on: August 18, 2015, 02:54:13 AM
The ability to manipulate it

I see many of the same holes still present..

Don't take this as talking shit, just a friendly reminder that chains cloning these coins are much more vulnerable than previously thought. Be cautious

CoinGather is happy to support NEG trading until it makes it to a larger exchange.  I know we are small, we have been the first exchange for a number popular coins such as LIMX.  We don't mind being the skipping stone for now Smiley

Your picture will always be the first one listed in this thread since you were first to add us and I really do appreciate it  Wink
3012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Negativity | HARD FORK | Bonuses for discovering Prime Numbers | on: August 18, 2015, 01:17:31 AM
network weight has been on a steady rise, def need more peeps staking tho... and an exchange with some volume
+1

I know, but let me get it working properly first before we worry about trading it. Richie and Yuriy both know what I'm working on, and as soon as it gets to Bittrex, we can add a multipool for it very, very quickly  Wink

There are many wheels in motion, but we cannot put the cart before the horse; basic functionality needs to be perfect first
3013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ROS V2 :Flying without a pilot. Rebranded to FLY Coin on: August 17, 2015, 11:34:55 PM
Oh, now THIS is gonna be fun

Ok, I have finished the update. I'll have new clients for Windows up soon, and will upload to Github at the same time. Still testing a few things, but as it stands, Block 200k will be the fork (may change)

Final Changes (as long as they work)
  • Normal Reward is now 1 NEG (Down from 10)
  • Primes will still reward 10,000 NEG (Unchanged)
  • Switched to modulo, rather than division/rounding
  • New formula for calculating Prime Candidates
  • Will produce more accurate results and process faster
  • Added Non-Prime Logging to debug.log
  • Search for 'NOT Prime' in debug.log
  • Will record nCandidate, as well as it's lowest divisible integer
  • Recording for Primes is now more user-friendly
  • To see your Primes, search for 'Congratulations' in debug.log

its a good guide, can you make a guide about POW+POS coin, with basic of what veriables to change when making a POW/POS coin
I want to learn, can you help me through PM for some basic about veriables to change for making a POW/POS coin

That is exactly what this post will show you how to do. These coins will have both PoW and PoS

Also, no source. I would say this is going to compromise your system

so this coin not come from you ?

Are you fucking kidding?
3017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Negativity | HARD FORK | Bonuses for discovering Prime Numbers | on: August 17, 2015, 07:52:19 PM

i didnt really have much opinion about you Smiley
i've just been reading up on BUCKS.. and humorously enough i was on c=cex chat when you discussed the BUCKS exploit.

i'm not really sure what my opinion is of you now. but it certainly isnt the best opinion in the world.

..

i am kind of curious about negative staking though. that would be pretty funny.

I don't care in the slightest. BUCKS showed vulnerabilities in many coins, such as DASH and CRAVE. The codebase is quite fucked up and only after things went down with BUCKS did further examination turn up even more holes. I would suggest being very, very careful with many new coins right now

Spots! people left the holes in Dash and Crave and exploited your bucks? why? was there more money to be made exploiting bucks than Dash?
I am not against you in any way, but statements like these make no sense. I would like your take on why bucks was exploited and Dash/Crave
were left alone although you claim they have these same bugs. I been long time out of crave and did not trade Dash/dark since mintpal, so not defending their code just wondering what exploits/bugs you found.

Yes. To spite me personally. Those two chains, in particular, are much more vulnerable than even I previously thought. That's all the details I will give so stupid malicious shit does not become common knowledge
3018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Negativity | HARD FORK | Bonuses for discovering Prime Numbers | on: August 17, 2015, 08:13:18 AM
Someone has just pointed out a small error I made. Will post updated clients shortly (next few days). Most of the reward structure will be rewritten, as I believe I can simplify it a bit

Rewards will also drop to 1 NEG per block, instead of 10. I wanted to keep it at 10, but we will dilute the supply way too fast once these bonuses are valid, so I have made the decision to lower them now, and for good, instead of waiting like we did last time

If Primes are properly calculated after this fork, there will be no further updates to the reward system, other than in an emergency situation

This fix will allow Primes to be properly generated, as well as add in YET another sliding scale factor to make the generated numbers even more random

It was an error on my part, I skipped one small step in the Prime number generation. Currently, primes are impossible

It's referring to the general shit attitude people have towards me

Originally, we launched with negative and positive staking, but a couple assholes shit on the party real quick, so now it's based on Prime Numbers for bonuses
