3001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is Thriving on: November 11, 2014, 06:40:11 PM
Lets try the other way round. You said that you feel litecoin reached bottom. Can you explain why?

Is there any serious development going on regarding the coin itself or merchant acceptance?

For me, there are many coins with more features, many with faster transfers and many with faster development speed.
How will litecoin compete with them? Some weeks from now and hashcoin will be out, its very likely that hashcoin has a much higher market-cap than litecoin from the start.
It will almost certainly have higher merchant adoption as well. This will drive litecoin price further down i think and it will have to struggle to keep in top 5 coins next year.

Nice approach.
Re the development. What I can say is that the community are devoted to making this work long term. I know that the creator is doing all he can to get adoption with some top companies. (Coinbase)
The community themselves have always been trying to increase adoption. The community is very active and with the recent merge with Dogecoin mining, I feel that we've gained quite a bit more support. Some say LTC saved DOGE. Who knows?

Re the technology. Yes you can say it's slightly outdated as new alts are constantly working on existing protocol. Can it be fixed? Maybe. Again, who knows?

However, you can argue exactly the same with BTC. It's old technology but the adoption is high and constantly increasing. New people to crypto hear about BTC way before something like Hashcoin. I heard about BTC and following that heard all about LTC. BTC has had lots of coverage as well as adoption and although LTC isn't comparable in scale, it's been making its own progress (more than most others alts I've heard of).

There's plenty more. These are just my initial thoughts. I'll keep posting when I have time.

Anyway, more about this Hashcoin. What's so innovative? I agree immediate confirmations is quite cool, but the same argument follows. Something newer and better will come out than Hashcoin in a few months. Then what's to say Hashcoin will succeed? It's the same argument as technology evolves...

Please don't ask "What do you think?" if you simply delete all opinions but yours in your moderated thread.

Yes, ideally I'd like a thread where all opinions can be voiced. However, another thread on here is already purposely aimed at putting LTC down.
It's a super LTC FUD thread. I've posted numerous times and the slightest positivity has resulted in my post being deleted. From here on out I'll agree to not delete your opinions as long as they are not just plainly FUD.
I apologise.
Should you repost I shall respect it.
3003  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cast Your Vote for your favourite Physical Bitcoin Designs – Ends 18th November on: November 11, 2014, 03:45:26 PM
There is something fishy going on.
I just got a PM from a user offering to sell me 32 votes for the competition.
Disgraceful.
3004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin is Thriving on: November 11, 2014, 09:13:52 AM
Litecoin is thriving albeit slowly.
I think we've hit the floor and from here on out we can just expect a gradual increase.
We've got a dedicated group on the Litecoin Association doing all they can to help our coin grow.

What do you think?

BUY! HODL!

Smiley

Edit: All opinions welcome. Just try not to start spreading some FUD.

Do you have any single signature ones?
3006  Economy / Digital goods / Re: MASS AMAZON EXCHANGUE on: November 11, 2014, 05:26:56 AM
Always stay away from cheap Amazon cards.
Even if the seller delivers, you're likely to have your account suspended and be reported to the authorities.
I lost 2 BTC on this once.
I've learned from my mistake.

DON'T TRY IT. - If you do, you kind of deserve to be scammed.

Also, some 5 LTC/10 LTC with black addresses Wink
Thanks

3011  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cast Your Vote for your favourite Physical Bitcoin Designs – Ends 18th November on: November 06, 2014, 10:49:38 AM
I agree with what others said, The same thing happen last contest and seems it's a common practice to have friends or people you have work with and you have some relation or leverage to ask them for a vote. I could have done that myself the same like anyone other, but instead I preferred for a clean nice community choose.
It's clear if you look at the votes so far, I wanted to post on a later date to see how the voting will go, But some of you seem to have the same thinking like me.

I want to say that this might be my last competition, I don't like how things are going. Some of you might be happy with my decision.

It is sad to see, but MrBAU, you have talent and as such in sure all your votes are deserved. Hell, I even voted for you Smiley.
It's a shame that you're thinking about this. You have talent and I don't see why you or Coinographic should lose out because of some other people's dishonesty.
3012  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cast Your Vote for your favourite Physical Bitcoin Designs – Ends 18th November on: November 06, 2014, 09:59:56 AM
can't believe I missed this competition Sad

anyways my votes are:

gold design: thermost
silver design: AT101ET

To Vote for your favourite designs please follow the rules below;
1)   Please post a message on this forum with the name of the designer and design number  you are voting for.  Feel free to post any comments you may have for suggested improvements to the design, these comments may be taken into consideration when we work on the final design from the winning concept.
2)   Any vote from an account created after 4th November 2014 will not be counted. This is done to prevent cheating, we hope you understand.
3)   Any vote from an account that has not had any posting activity after 4th October 2014 will not be counted.  This is done to prevent cheating, we hope you understand.

Meh. There goes my only vote lol.  Cheesy
On a serious note though, please vote for designs that you'll like to see made a reality and not for your friends!
Coinographic has made this competition possible and has put his trust in the community. How about we don't disappoint and vote fairly? Smiley

GL everyone!

When new coins are released, how are they added to the site?
How much are you looking for?
3014  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Old iPod Models on: November 05, 2014, 09:45:38 PM
Lol. I've got quite a few more too. They're from a collection. - I know, weird!

AT, have you.... collected.... IPods?  Shocked

(I did not even know anybody collected Ipods)

What is the holygrail in Ipod collections?
I mean what is the Ipods answer to Casacius 1000 BTC 1 Oz .999 Au ?

I used to Smiley - Still kind on do but not actively.
Quite hard to answer. The holy-grail is considered a sealed 1st Gem iPod classic.
They go for around $10-15k.
However, some collectors call the limited edition Beck, Madonna and NoDoubt 2nd Gen classics the holy-grail. That's because nobody knows exactly how many were sold by Apple and just how many are around today.
3015  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator please remove post about Counterfeit PAMP Suisse Gold Bars on: November 05, 2014, 06:11:03 PM
You may not like what he is doing and what image it gives to the BTC community.
However, the trust system should be used for reporting honest and dishonest dealings.
Just because he is selling counterfeit goods doesn't necessarily make him a scammer.
He isn't lying saying their real and selling fake goods. He's punliclaly stating that they're real.
I propose that if this really annoys you, perhaps speak to him about it and as you've done, post a thread.
However, playing with the trust system isn't really a solution.
3016  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Old iPod Models on: November 05, 2014, 04:38:01 PM
hey,
how much is iPod Touch 2nd Gen?
thanks

All my items are sealed hence they are more expensive then used ones.
The older iPods are more sought after by collectors.
I'm looking for £150 in BTC/LTC shipped in the UK.
For international postage, I can get a quote based on location.

Thanks

Edit: OP updated. Still have various other models not listed.
3017  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Old iPod Models on: November 05, 2014, 04:35:17 PM
Hi

Does the 3rd Generation Ipod Shuffle still available?
PM me for detail and the price.

Thanks!

The 3rd Gen iPod Shuffle was the first iPod that could talk to you.
The one listed is the Chrome version (a limited edition made by Apple).
It's still available (think I have one more).
Looking for £50 in BTC/LTC.
Shipping depends on location. I like to send all iPods insured.
If in the UK then shipping is included. Otherwise I can give a quote based on location.

Thanks
3018  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Charlie Shrem is scamming me, watch out on: November 04, 2014, 09:00:45 PM
Charlie is probably one of the most known members on here.
With the BI saga, he's been in the public light for a while and he's not running anywhere.
He's admitted to owing you the BTC and has said that you will be paid.
I can understand that it's frustrating but ultimately Charlie will keep to his word.
Yes, maybe the deal wasn't well thought out but that is as much your fault as it is his.
He may be slightly late with payments but I'm sure there's a good reason for that.
Believe me, Charlie is no scammer and is not running away with your coins.
You will be paid. Just be patient. Getting all worked up on here won't really solve anything.
Stay calm. Nobody is taking sides here.

I think you're both wonderful people Smiley
