3001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 03, 2022, 10:26:58 AM
I also have to agree because  Sri Lanka may be an easier opponent and they could get wins against them. But Pakistan is going to give them a really good fight and make things really hard for them. And obviously, England is at the bottom and probably they will try to get some wins in and the thing is, England don't have anything to lose right now so they will come out all guns blazing. So, good luck, I guess…

It is too early to predict who will qualify for the WTC finals at this point. Although I am not going to deny the fact that New Zealand has suffered a couple of setbacks recently, it is unfair to discount their chances. They still have the best test batsman (Kane Williamson) and the best pace attack in the world (Boult/Wagner/Jamieson/Henry/Southee/Milne). Right now, none of the other teams can match their team balance. The only domain where they are lagging behind is in spin department. They dominate in all the other departments.
They are left with 7 test match ( 3 series). If they want to qualify for the finals without depending on any other team's result then they need minimum 6 wins.

Home - 2 tests against Sri Lanka
Away -  2 against Pakistan and 3 against England

Let's say they successfully beat SL easily at home but they still need to win 4 games against Pak and Eng, which i think would be very tough and really need a miracle because Pakis are no dummy imo. Already said about England, they are dead in WTC and hit the rock bottom. Their trajectory can only go up from here so i believe they will perform okay from now on, at least at home.
3002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 02, 2022, 05:47:53 PM
there is a nice cartoon about all these things that have now been decided by fifa against russia in the last few days
and not only fifa but also other federations or other football clubs end the partnerships with russian companies

Unfortunately, before all these structures took bloody money with pleasure, and maybe that's why in the end everything ends in a big war. If the world community behaved as it does now in 2014 or even in 2008 (when Russia attacked Georgia), all these victims could have been avoided. At the moment, I do not understand why FIFA ignores the role of Belarus, from the territory of which the attack was also carried out and which is an ally of Russia.

Listen, what is just nothing but the older people playing tricks on the young to kill themselves. And most of the time the innocents are the ones to suffer.

Anyway probably FIFA is ignoring the role of Belarus because if you just start thinking that these are allies and these are enemies, probably the media will have a field day about it and probably this could turn into an actual World War 3.

At the moment, I do not understand why FIFA ignores the role of Belarus, from the territory of which the attack was also carried out and which is an ally of Russia.
I think different sporting authorities are treating it differently, but FIFA will probably come out against Belarus soon enough. Other sporting authorities have, for example in Formula One racing, both Russian and Belarusian drivers have been banned from competing at the British GP. I'm sure other sports and countries will follow suit. It just takes time, no doubt they've spent ages arguing what to do about Russia, now they'll be having the same discussions about Belarus... not that Putin is going to be remotely bothered.
Guys, Vladimir Putin is a freaking savage. He does not care about what happens in sports in my opinion. What I think is, he set his eyes on one mission and he will complete it. But the sports generation of that whole region is going to suffer.

Sad news for football lovers. Sports doesn't merit this treatment. Russian football national teams, clubs are only the survivor of Western Double Standards. They used to say don't mix politics with sports. Here, it's extremely sad how the entire world is conscious of humankind. The world has a place with specific individuals who have the permit to control the whole world. Move has been made with phenomenal speed, I surmise action on Belarus will be roll out next.
Obviously, people can ban the Russian and the Belarusian players, but it would not have any effect on Russia and Belarus in my opinion. I mean they are at war and what do you think banning some players is going to do? Nothing. But obviously, I am not defending anyone here.
3003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 02, 2022, 09:09:33 AM
After the results that person produced against Napoli in the second leg in away conditions, I think it's safe to say that they will win easily against Galatasaray. But they obviously shouldn't take it easy and that might result in them throwing the match. But it looks really good to say that the attacking of Barcelona looks much more coordinated. The strikers are scoring goals and in the form right now. If they can defend properly I don't think they will have any problems at all.

I really believe Barcelona will be able to win this competition, because this is their target this season after their chances of winning La Liga are very slim due to the distance of points that are quite far from the current leader of the standings, and also Barcelona's performance which has improved greatly at this time. I think winning this championship is not a difficult thing for them.
Galatasaray is not a difficult opponent for Barcelona, if you look at the composition of the players, I think Barcelona can win easily.
Basically anything can happen but if it's about Galatasaray, I think it's clear that Galatasaray have no chance of getting rid of Barcelona. Also, Barcelona is now from the signing of several players made recently, it is very visible that Barcelona is a better team now. Therefore, by examining the teams that are still in the last 16, I am personally quite sure that Barcelona has a chance to make it to the final and also become the winner of this tournament.
3004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 01, 2022, 07:10:01 PM
I think Inter is going to give it their 100% because they have a chance to achieve the first spot in the standings if they win this match. They also don't have to worry about the goal difference because they have the best goal difference in the league.

So, they just need to win and somehow get the 3 points. But, I don't think Milan is going to let that happen and I also think that there might be a case of sending off because today I think it will get rough on that pitch.

Today game between AC Milan Vs inter Milan will be very interesting one, could not miss it for anything, it will be very difficult to predict the winner of this match, would love AC Milan to win the game but I see inter Milan as the favourite in this one, I expect to see a fierce competition between the players it might results to a player being sent off, I love when this two play against each other especially when both of them are in good form.
3005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 01, 2022, 07:05:33 PM
Gerard Piqué is a great player and have given Barcelona a really good service for all these years. But now he has to understand that he doesn't have what it takes and for the sake of Barcelona, I think that probably if there is a better player who will defend better than him, he should step aside. He is probably considering retiring right now but maybe he is also caught between two thoughts: if he wants to play for another low-tier team or does he want to retire as a one club player.

Gerard Pique is a veteran and a Barcelona legend, he has giving them everything he has and i also think it is time for him to step aside, and either move to another less competitive league or stay on the bench more often, but whichever it is, i am pretty sure Barcelona fans and board are appreciative of him for all this years. Having said that, Barcelona really did make good signings in January, and it is starting to click for them, they have scored about 12 goals in their last three matches, Aubameyang, F. Torres, Adama Traore have really raised the level of the team, as things stand they would definitely qualify for the CL, and then we could see them competing for the league by next season, Good job Xavi.
I would guess he could just simply retire as well with the type of money he has. I do not understand these players that are trying to milk the last ounce of money they could from the game, I mean they could simply just become staff and earn millions that way as well. Imagine him getting to be Barceloan staff, spend maybe a year or two on youth teams first, learn the ropes, and then become the defensive coach and run the defensive side training as well.
It is really not that much of a stretch and he could totally do that. He may have been a great player at one time, and he is not that old right now, but he is just way too slow for this eras football, even at his peak, he would have hard time with today's football where everyone is running like mad men, passing is less important and just straight up running and dashing around players is more common.

Even the last match of Newcastle United was really great to see for the New Castle fans because they played really well and it looked like every player in the team knew what they were doing. The attacks looked really well and organized. I think they will perform better in the upcoming days. And we all know that money is a big factor in all these leagues. they don't have any shortages of that so does squad is going to be stronger.

January was the beginning of the rise of Newcastle united, slowly they were able to rise and it was certain that they avoided the relegation zone, now Newcastle are now ranked 14th in the standings, and have collected 25 points, with the money they have I am very sure Newcastle will definitely recruiting talented players next season, I am also very sure that many star players will join Newcastle next season..
3007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 01, 2022, 11:55:43 AM
I've always thought that this match was in favor of South Africa from the start and they also lived up to the expectation at the end of the match. I always thought they are going to give them a target of more than 300 and I was right.

And New Zealand tried their best but they could not hang on till the end as the South African bowlers bowled really well. But I am sad that Devon missed out on his hundred.

New Zealand has lost a Test match in Christchurch after a long absence. In fact, I expected them to win this match too. The first match they completely ruled and won. But the South African batsman is well aware of the state of the pitch. They have shown remarkable performance in both the innings. They have collected more than 350 in both innings. New Zealand's batsmen should have played better. Because they are familiar with this pitch.
New Zealand could have lost the match early on day five, but they tried their best. In the opening session, the Kiwis lost only one wicket, and they remained competitive until the third session. Despite their efforts, the Kiwis were unable to prevent South Africa's win. South Africa won the second test match thanks to an outstanding performance by Kagiso Rabada. The second test ended in a loss for New Zealand by 198 runs, ending the series at 1-1.
3008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: February 28, 2022, 04:16:20 PM
When it comes to price manipulation, we usually refer to the wealthy. Such is the truth. Every financial market has big player behind it. They can dump at any time and can buy back at low price by spreading FUDs to small investors panic sell.
The crypto market is the most susceptible to manipulation because the marketcap is very small compared to the stock. So always be on the lookout for dumping and fake news being spread.
3009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin private key storage on: February 28, 2022, 03:32:01 PM
I have read that many people choose to store their bitcoin private keys on steel plates by engraving the seed phrase on the plates.
I thought of doing the same and so I searched for vendors around me and contacted one of them.
After discussing with the vendor I got to know that we can engrave the keys on steel as well as aluminium plates.
He also said that aluminium plates are cheaper than steel but on the other hand steel is stronger than aluminium.
And so I have the below two questions to ask you guys before I proceed with securing my keys.

1. Should I go with aluminium or steel plates ?

2. Wouldn't it be a risk if I give my keys to the vendor to engrave it on the plates ? What if he steals my coins?
Also, If I don't give the words to the vendor how will he engrave it ?
I think steel will be stronger than aluminum.
It is too dangerous to give keys or seeds to others. The private key is like the key to the house you are in. If you give them the key and one day they can break into your house and take your precious essentials. Think carefully before doing it.
One solution that I can think of is to find 3-4 similar vendors and give a few words to each of them to engrave on the plate
Seems like a good idea. But make sure these people are not closely related and their geographical distance is not too close.
3010  Economy / Economics / Re: Ban Russia from SWIFT! Protect Ukrainian Sky! Send NATO to Ukraine! on: February 28, 2022, 03:01:18 PM
I’m sorry to hear about your family but why would NATO protect Ukraine? The Ukrainian‘s need to defend themselves and their sovereignty. The only support NATO countries would provide is participating in sanctions, but even then it’s still up to Ukraine to force Russian troops out of their country. It would be beneficial for NATO to provide arms to the Ukrainian people, but of course that would never happen because Eastern Europe needs their Russian oil. You can thank the US and Nord Steam 2 when they failed to sanction NS2 in 2021.
NATO countries are heavily dependent on gas and oil from Russia. The amount of gas that Russia supplies to Europe accounts for 40% of the total gas that Europe imports every year. Perhaps they were hesitant to help Ukraine out of fear that Russia would stop supplying gas.
But I think we were wrong: America sent anti-tank missiles, Germany sent tanks and tons of fuel, Britain sent anti-tank weapons and other military equipment... and a lot of member countries NATO members did not stand by and act. I think they will find a way to bring Putin to the negotiating table. Maybe they will also be the losers if the calculation is wrong. But by all means stop this war.
3011  Economy / Economics / Re: Putin next steps and where it may fail spectacularly on: February 28, 2022, 02:42:35 PM
As long as there is no nuclear war, I am definitely fine with him losing. The only thing that scares me about the current situation is that Putin will try his best and at the very worst case if he looks like he is losing then he may try a nuclear war, and in that case everything will be looking a lot worse. Doesn't mean that I want him to win the war to avoid nuclear war, just means I hope someone in Russia stops him before he starts it. That way we would both save ourselves from a nuclear war AND get rid of Putin at the same time. It will not be easy but it won't be impossible neither.

We could totally see some Russian oligarchs get together and talk about how much money they have lost because of him and dispose of him because of it.
If he deploys nuclear weapons, a third world war is possible. Putin deploys nuclear war, he will be considered more cruel than Hitler, and that cruelty will last forever. I think by all means the great powers US and China will not let that happen.
It's doomsday. I don't expect anyone to win, I hope the negotiation goes well and neither side has to lose any more.
3012  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: February 28, 2022, 04:11:36 AM
I'm right here, Argument with my mate about the current invasion by Russia in Ukraine.
He just told me countries make money from war, could it be the journalist alone ? Government who please, I'm juvenile at this.
The countries that are dealing in weapons are the ones that benefit the most when war breaks out. The United States and Russia are the top two countries in the arms export industry. But even though it was the people who benefited in this battle, it was the civilians who suffered the heaviest losses. They are like us, all innocent. bear it all when governments are in dispute with each other. I hope Russia and Ukraine soon reach an agreement in today's talks.
3013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine on: February 28, 2022, 03:54:32 AM
A very honorable act from boss CZ. War is a disease. But at the moment, crypto is becoming official currencies on a cross-border scale. While donations to the people of Ukraine in cryptocurrency are receiving a warm reception from all over the earth. A recent a report by blockchain Elliptic the Ukraine government received more than 8 million dollars from crypto. After this war, countries will definitely reconsider the really important role of bitcoin.
3014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what gives Bitcoin it value? on: February 28, 2022, 03:26:49 AM
Simply put, one of the basic principles of currency has value because of people's trust, as well as the value of bitcoin even though bitcoin is basically just a virtual form whose existence is not real, but so far many people think bitcoin is valuable because bitcoin can be an alternative currency that can be used globally so that its value will be even more valuable if people's trust in bitcoin continues to increase.
The strength of the community is indeed very important to support bitcoin to exist and continue to be used. Bitcoin is a valuable digital asset today. In addition to public trust in bitcoin, bitcoin also has a limited supply, so the more often it is mined, the less bitcoin supply will be. The total supply of 21m cannot be increased or decreased, so once bitcoins are fully mined, bitcoins will be scarcer and prices will be higher. the future of bitcoin is still long and this is still the beginning for bitcoin and the world of cryptocurrencies.
The total supply of 21 million bitcoins will be fully mined in 2140 and we cannot generate another bitcoin. But so far some bitcoins have been lost because some users have lost their private keys, and those bitcoins actually never came back. So the total supply of bitcoin has decreased significantly.
Bitcoin is not like gold. The amount of gold is estimated to be 60 trillion tons in the earth's crust and we have only extracted more than 190 thousand tons of gold. If bitcoin really becomes legal worldwide, I really can't imagine how high its value will be.
3015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 27, 2022, 06:28:49 PM
New Castle has certainly improved their performance after the transfers but I still think that they are a team that is capable of doing much better. But some more transfers need to be made and obviously at the moment money is not a problem at all for them. So they should spend to make the team much better and I am really interested to see what they are going to produce in the next season. This season I think they are going to be a mid table team at the end.

If Newcastle qualifies to play in the Premier League next season, they are prepared to spend a lot of money to strengthen the team. Since they are now the richest club in the Premier League. They will do their best to make the team more stable. They will spend money and hire talented players. And if Newcastle coach wants Jesse Lingard on the team, they will get him. West Ham want to sign Jesse Lingard, but they are unlikely to offer much more than Newcastle.
So far Newcastle already spend 86 millions poundsterling to get 5 players from the last window transfer and one of the potential player which they get is Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon and since that Newcastle performance rapidly increase even in the league they got 4 win from 5 matches so I'm sure they will stay in the premier league and i think for next transfer window there will be saga transfer for them because money is not a problem for them as long as they get the players they want
3016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 27, 2022, 05:49:42 PM
Milan obviously did not live up to the expectation in the last few matches and now Inter and Napoli both have the chance to go in front of Milan. Milan has played 27 matches and both Inter and Napoli played 26 matches. And both the teams are also ahead in goal difference so if they win both of them can be ahead of Milan. And I think ok that is what is gonna happen. With the current form of Milan, I am quite certain that they won't be able to hold onto their first position in the league.

Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus are arguably very very reasonable if it's difficult in the last few weeks, because apart from playing in the league they also have a busy schedule because they have to play in European competitions, but what really surprised me was the current condition Milan are also difficult for win, although at the moment they are only focused on the league so they automatically have plenty of time to rest their players, and in contrast to the cases of Napoli, Inter Milan and Juventus which are clearly problematic with decrease player performance due to fatigue due t strich the playing schedule.
Actually, when Napoli, Inter Milan, and Juventus were still busy with European competition schedules, of course AC Milan had to take advantage and try to win because other teams were not in good condition, but it turns out that they are also experiencing adversity Grin.
Actually, this also can't be used as a logical reason for them because they are a pretty strong team and when the schedule affects their performance I think it actually gives something bad because they are a professional club and indeed they have to do something good of course .
Milan played like without motivation, especially in the last few games they didn't seem to intend to win by playing less enthusiastically in my opinion.
Serie A becomes less exciting because it seems like the best option in a club that is less developed in Performance
3017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto asset prices weaken on: February 27, 2022, 04:58:09 PM
crypto market weakening is a natural thing to increase or decrease it's normal even many people view this decline as an opportunity they see a decline and start buying little by little coins and I think there will be another increase after this decline,
so you don't need to panic too much
No market can go up forever without falling, volatility shows that the market is not sick. Instead of panic sell, many long-term investors see this as an opportunity to buy at extremely low prices compared to the true value of the market.
I'm a holder so I don't feel nervous when the market is in its current state. In the long run, I believe it will grow.
3018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: February 27, 2022, 04:42:38 PM

Not all altcoins will be able to survive during the fall of the market. That is why it is necessary to check the development of the project to evaluate its potential.
Only the best projects will be able to survive.
Fall of the market is a good time to buy altcoins for the best price to have the maximum profit from investment.

Investing in altcoins gives better returns than bitcoin, but as the market crash lingers, altcoins are easy to get eliminated. Looking at the top coins on coinmarketcap over the years, we can see that they change continuously over time. Old projects still exist but are mostly outdated and left behind, so be careful in choosing projects to invest in during bear markets.

3019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: February 27, 2022, 04:21:43 PM
~snip~
In terms of catalysts, there's probably none bigger than having the world's richest person in your corner. Tesla CEO Elon Musk owns only three cryptocurrencies. One of those happens to be Dogecoin. Musk is no stranger to promoting Dogecoin on social media platforms like Twitter, or posting obscure memes implying that Shiba Inu dogs are "going to the moon." what do you think about dogecoin?
In my opinion coins like Doge are very difficult to predict because so far investors who have large capital they invest with these coins only aim to pump and dump and when large disposals are carried out by these investors, of course, the price will fall and make people in the market panic so they decide to sell simultaneously so as not to lose, so I'm not sure if the price of the doge coin will be able to reach $1 this year.
The crypto market is a place where anything is possible. The year 2021 was a huge hit for memecoins as they were used by whales as a tool for bump and dump. Most of us here would never think doge can hit $0.7/doge, but Elon made it happen. Can doge reach 1$ or not, let's wait and see what he will do next.

Don't waste your money, it's no different from shitcoins. I recommend you to invest in BTC, ETH, BNB or you are a bit more adventurous you can choose layer1 tokens like Sol, Polygon, Avax, near...and lots of other potential tokens on CMC. They probably won't be more secure than BTC but I'm pretty sure it's much better than the shitcoin you're talking about.
